"This beautiful Stube-style restaurant in the city centre has existed since the Council of Trent, with a succession of chefs and owners serving food here ever since the 16C. Still run with skill and expertise today, the restaurant boasts a small, intimate Alpine-style dining room where Trento specialities (char, apple strudel with vanilla ice cream) are served alongside typical Italian fare (risotto with mussel power and parsley pesto). All the dishes are cooked with an imaginative touch, resulting in a perfect balance of tradition and modernity!" - Michelin Inspector

My favorite spot in Trento, where I had the best risotto ever! The dish was served with lime pearls, cold gambas, basil purée, and bisque. It may sound simple, but the balance and execution were absolutely divine. Without a doubt, this is the kind of dish you don’t want to miss when visiting Trento. The service was friendly, especially thanks to the young Guinean waiter, who made the experience even more enjoyable.

Great dining experience. Quality food and exceptional service- alessandro and Amadou were fantastic! The place is historic, sophisticated and has a lot of energy.

Very cute atmosphere and kind stuff. However, they served us cold and slight hard beef, which in a place like this should not be possible.. Also, in general food was very salty (for our taste). Food in served in a nice presentation and combination of different tastes.

The staff was helpful, informative and generous. We were given a complimentary antipasto because they were concerned we would not have enough with our small order. (We are light eaters). Charming atmosphere. The first glass of wine was not full bodied enough for my taste so they opened a great bottle for my second glass. Can’t praise the staff highly enough. The missing star though is due to the flavors of the food just not matching up to the rest of the experience. Maybe we just didn’t order wisely.

Excellent. We went yesterday evening for a birthday diner with family. We had the "Mountain" tasting menu with two local bottles of red wine recommended by our waiter - both excellent choices. The tasting menu includes 7 dishes of excellent traditional recipes executed with creativity. We ended up with a 380€ bill for 4 with coffee and grappa, which is very reasonable given the quality. Only criticism: the main dish could be improved. The deer was excellent, but the selection of sides did not compliment it.

After eating here, I spent the night throwing up and also going to the bathroom. I don't think the chef knows what he is doing. They gave me what looked like raw fish, which I asked them to cook more. Why would you put sweet chutney on fish? Disgusting. Then, they bring a seemingly normal white fish, and top it off with a sweet, coconut milk concoction. When I tasted it, I could tell it was too heavy and weird. And again, why would you put something sweet on fish? The chef thinks he is doing "fusion" cuisine. This is not a Thai restaurant; if you don't know what you are doing, don't do it! Sure enough, a few hours later, I threw up and spent the night with stomach cramps. I was tempted to go there the next day and demand my 50 euros back. Stay away from this place!! In their response they are saying the fish was fresh, the problem wasn’t the fish but the indigestible coconut sauce.

Biggest dissapointment meal of the year award from us two foodies. We had read the reviews and were prepared for great things. Good news was the service and the wine were great. Bad news was the flavours in the food and three big misses on the seafood menu were outright unpleasant tastes. Strange rule that if one person at the table wants the seafood menu and the other wants the meat menu, no can do...as a table you must all eat from the same fixed menu, so it arrives at the same time from the kitchen...odd... so we went a la carte. Sadly, not one dish was the least bit inspiring and the dishes that were seafood driven were by far the weakest bites. My lamb was good, but the very large stack of accompanying wholewheat polenta was like a damp sand dune in the mouth. Sorry, it was a big miss from us and we wouldn't be reccomending it to anyone. Expect to pay around $75-125 per person if you go .

Yelp
This is a small restaurant in the Piazza Duomo area. We were a large group of seven and ordered two plates each and shared some desserts. The servers were good although we had a flag them down a couple of times to get more wine. The food servings are presented very artfully and are on the small side. See my pictures of the food. I would recommend this place.

Yelp
Disappointing and over salted.Wow,I'm sad to say this. We had hoped for a great meal based on reviews on TripAdvisor. It was not to be. Highlight was a great waiter and good local wine recommendation.Lowlight was the meal. They have a 5 course tasting for 75euros ,either meat or fish....or a la carte. But the whole table has to order the same 5 course menu so if one person likes seafood and the other meat, tough luck...you have to go with the same menu (so that preparation arrives at the same time)..so we went a la carte. The seafood was overall off putting and consistently heavily salted.other then the great crust on the ahi,I'd have rather eaten a pizza anywhere else in hindsight that night:( My lamb was cooked well but was accompanied with a whole wheat polenta that was like eating a sandy spoonful and was off putting. No interest in dessert after what I would rate as the biggest dissapointment meal of the year.Sad but true.Bright side was by going a la carte we didn't waste an additional 50.
