"This renowned osteria situated in a district off the tourist trail is run by attentive and friendly female staff. Its dishes have a regional focus – vitello tonnato, agnolotti and tajarin pasta, caponèt (stuffed cabbage rolls), bonet dessert etc – and are served in three small, simple and traditional dining rooms, one of which shares space with the bar. There’s also pleasant outdoor dining in the garden to the rear in summer. Due to its popularity, booking ahead is highly recommended!" - Michelin Inspector

This restaurant is not located right in the city center and won’t just spontaneously appear on your tourist route, but that’s exactly what makes it a true gem. For a dinner in Turin, this was simply outstanding. The restaurant was completely full, so you definitely need to make a reservation, I highly recommend booking in advance. All the dishes we tried were amazing. A special compliment to the chef not only for the kitchen, but also for the amaro tasting experience he organized for us. Make sure to leave room for dessert, the zabaglione and panna cotta were outstanding. Antiche Sere is recommended by the Michelin Guide, which speaks for itself. Absolutely must-have if you’re in Turin.

Amazing place! The one you want to spend your last evening in Torino. The food was perfect, the service was marvelous and the place was as cosy as an osteria can be. While I don't want to highlight any single dish (this would shed the light from the other dishes, see the pictures!) the zabaione we got as greetings from the chef was simply a revelation..

Amazing service and attention to detail, everything prepared with great attention, perhaps the best vitello we've had in Turin, pastas and meats well done and melting soft, Camilla and the whole team were great hosts, packing wine bottles for takeout was an appreciated final touch. Panna cotta was reminiscent of burrata in the softness of the interior. Would recommend to anyone.

Exceptional! You know you are in the right spot when on Monday late evening you enter a restaurant in Torino which is packed full. I came without reservation based on my simple online research and was greeted by an elegant host. Whom one of the staffed might have called “mom” in Italian, but I might be wrong. What I am positive about is the feeling I m getting. Coming here feels like visiting your best friends grandmas house. Look at the decor and the dishes! It feels like this menu has not been changed for a century but for a good reason. If the chefs do a dish for a 1000time, I believe it becomes close to perfection. Simple presentation and even more so the offer, but that is a kind of thing everyone should expect from place like this. You can get a sneak peak in the kitchen and when you see the chefs impeccably dressed with white hats, clean working surface, again, you know you are at the right place! I admit, I m writing this review under such a positive emotions waiting for dessert. The only thing for improvement I can think of is that I would like the side salad to be mixed with oil and vinegar before service, but again I admit this might be the Italian way or serving salads without any dressing? There were four ladies running the floor and it felt everyone shared the same enthusiasm and passion for work. Going beyond the obvious service and great food makes one experience exceptional. I almost feel obliged (in good way) to write this review and think of when can I next book my flight ticket to come to Torino because of this place.

Highly recommend this friendly authentic restaurant with very reasonable price and great local vibe. My partner and I shared the gnocchi and veal cheeks( both delicious!); we also had house red wine and 2 amazing desserts( panna cotta and zabaglione with whipped cream and merengue). We were fully satisfied, as both dishes were pretty hearty. If we were more hungry, I’d love to try their appetizers. The little complimentary cauliflower for the start was really delicious. Highly recommend! We were a bit concerned about getting there by public transportation from the center. But in the end it was an easy walk& comfortable short metro ride- totally worth it!

The softest melt in your mouth veal cheek I’ve ever had. I don’t know what sorcery & love is behind this dish, but I’ve never had veal this soft!! I wish I had a second stomach to fill it up with the divine dishes here! Every meal is cooked with love and is mouth watering. The house wine (Nebbiolo) complements the meal ideally. Very nice traditional atmosphere! This is now one of my favorite places in all of Italy!

This restaurant is exceptional. We tried the veal cheeks, the rabbit, the agnolotti and for dessert - the peaches and the zabaglione. All of them were delicious. Last but not least, the wine list is rich in variety and taste.

Delicious, authentic food in a very friendly setting. Bianca was amazing and helped us translate the menu. Recommend the sausage gnocchi, rabbit and veal cheeks.

Yelp
This is a throwback restaurant to a different era. You come here for the food of course but it's also a social outlet for friends and family. All eating, drinking and having a good time. The menu is hand written on a piece of paper in Italian but our server (she was fantastic) helped with whatever we could not interpret. The restaurant has a nice patio in the back which we enjoyed during our dinner. We started with a variety of Italian appetizers which were all tasty and authentic to the area. We then split a pasta with Bolognese which was very good. Entrees were hearty and full of flavor. Braised chicken in a mild vinegar sauce and braised pork with potatoes. We also had a half liter of red wine which was nice and a silly good price of 8 Euro. For desserts we had a chocolate torte and a light pana cotta. Both were yummy. As I had mentioned our server was wonderful throughout the evening and even called a taxi for us. Osteria Antiche Sere was a fun and tasty evening. Be sure to get a reservation if you decide to go.

Yelp
Wonderful! Typical piemontese food, which for me is one of the best. Probably the menu is short, but everything is so delicious. After dinner, try the "zuccherini": sugar cubes inside a pot with pure alcohol \o/

Yelp
Walking into the Osteria Antiche Sere is like being transported into a different era, when "slow food" mattered and taste, cleanliness and good service were at the heart of good, honest cuisine. The Osteria is quite difficult to find as it's tucked away on a side street, virtually invisible at night, so do get a taxi! Once inside it's like being in the Turin of the early part of the 20th century (which would be very similar to the France of that period!), basic but spotlessly clean table cloths. The menu is all based around traditional dishes of Turin and the portions are generous too. I recommend the home pasta and the main courses. The antipasti were good, but needed a bit more variety. I am afraid after a three course meal I had no more room for a dessert, so I can't comment but they looked delicious. The wine is very good and reasonably priced for a restaurant and the service delightful. A three course meal with wine and water was around 30 euros per person.

Yelp
Recommended by a friend, you cannot beat the home cooking and friendly staff. Recommend sharing the wonderful antipasti. The gnocchi and pork were awesome!
