"Housed within the elegant Arborina Relais hotel, this restaurant boasts modern, bright and stylish rooms, although the main attraction here is the exciting cuisine in which different culinary styles and techniques are showcased in every dish. The new Neapolitan chef Fernando Tommaso Forino takes inspiration not only from Piedmont but also from elsewhere in Italy, occasionally including playful influences from his native region. Examples include scapece-style beetroot served on beetroot-marinated venison, accompanied by a savoury maritozzo bun filled with venison civet and caramelised onion cream. The whole menu has a no-waste focus, with all parts of the ingredients used, even the fish bones. Meanwhile, the bistro-style “The Lab” (also open at lunchtime) serves slightly more traditional cuisine." - Michelin Inspector

I was a little concerned about the google reviews so I am writing one myself. This was a great dinner at a fair price. Very creative food. If you are looking for more traditional to Piedmont, at least the night I was there, maybe try somewhere else. If you are looking for very creative modern Italian food give this place a try! It was great!

We loved the 10 course chefs tasting menu 'no rules'. Original and unique plates that are presented in an interesting and exciting way. Every course was bursting with flavour yet sustainable, locally produced and/or using every 'part'. The portion sizes are very good and after 10 courses we felt satisfied. My only suggestion would be the addition of a pairing wine option, it is always pleasant to experience new regional wines alongside the food. Otherwise the wine selection is extensive and broadly priced to suit everyone. The service is excellent and the staff all spoke perfect English to us. I am surprised this restaurant doesn't have 1 Michelin star, I hope the chef is awarded it soon.

Unbelievable experience. This meal was our Stanley Tucci “oh my god” moment. We had simple pasta dishes. Mine was pasta with diced potatoes and beans in a cheese and butter sauce. The sommelier and server Jan was very gracious and helpful. He suggested a Burzi Barolo from La Morra. It was so good we visited the winery and Caterina spent three hours with us in the vineyards and the winery. Did I mention the view? The restaurant is on a rooftop and we looked over the Barolo valley with hundreds of twinkling lights on a calm wonderfully cool deck after a hot day. Tony the cook out did himself. We watched him prepare our food with his ever present smile. This meal made our trip fantastic.

Never normally write reviews but we just want to thank all of the team at Osteria Arborina for a completely outstanding experience eating in your wonderful restaurant on Saturday night. Huge congratulations to chef Fernando Tommaso Forino: your ideas, the great service, the passion and engagement of the staff, and most importantly the utterly delicious food made us feel very excited and very happy indeed. We are sure that accolades will be coming your way, we’re very glad we got to find you before too many others do!

There is 2 restaurants here. Casual and Formal. This review is for the "Formal": Great sophisticated setting... Cosy ambiance for a superb flavorful menu where your senses will get constantly excited. Attention to detail and composition of flavors makes this place a must try and a must come back. Budget is very reasonable considering the quality of the experience. Service is impeccable and very warm. Overall a splendid moment. Book early.

The place is in the hills of La Morra with restaurant overlooking some of the most expensive barolo crus. The ambiance is sober and the service very attentive yet relaxed. The food is excellent and worth the visit if you are in Piemonte!

Yelp
This was amazing. I'm always skeptical of hotel restaurants, even ones with a Michelin star, but this one fully lived up to it. We got risotto with sea bream and lemon, cappellaccio filled with essentially a panzanella salad, spaghettone with a bread/butter/anchovy sauce, an eggplant dish cooked in several different ways, and local steak cooked in a Tuscan style. Every bite was excellent, including their amazing amuses to start, and bread which was basically perfect crusty Tuscan bread but with actual flavor too (unlike the real thing in Tuscany). Our favorite dish of the night was probably the spaghettone, which really says something for Emmy wife who rarely likes anchovies, but this is about as perfect a pasta dish as you can get. The steak and the risotto were also particular standouts, as was the seriously-excellent fusilli with tomato sauce that they made for our three year old daughter. We also stayed at the hotel here which was absolutely perfect in just about every way.

Yelp
Athmosphere: 5* Service: 4* Food: 4* We were here last year and it was extremely nice. We stay at the Relais which I fully can recommend. They only have like 10 rooms but they are big and well designed. The food was very good, it was overall a very nice feeling. I really recommend this.
