Horrible service from start to finish. We made a reservation via Resy for 9:30PM and arrived at 9:40PM because we were unable to find parking for a while. When we walked in, no one greeted us and in fact one man in particular, who ended up being our server, just stared at us and didn't say anything at all until I asked if he worked at the establishment and he said yes. I told him we had reservations and he said "we close at 10 but the bar is open until 11." He was pretty much letting us know from the start that we would be rushed out the door because they were closing soon.
He brought us to our table outside and we ordered drinks. I attempted to order a french 75, which is a pretty classic cocktail and he told me he would have to check to see if they had "it". when he came back, he told me the bar didn't have a french 75 (which again is a classic cocktail made with standard bar ingredients but whatever) and we all placed our orders for drinks. We then attempted to order an appetizer and he told us that since the kitchen was closing soon, everything would be brought out at once. both myself and my friend have worked in the food service industry for several years - why was it not an option to keep our meals in the kitchen under a warmer or something similar? app and meals all came about 10 minutes later. about 5 minutes after that, our drinks finally came, so we got all of our food before our drinks even came.
Once we were finished, we figured we'd order another round of drinks because he said the bar was open until 11. our waiter never once came over to check on us or see if we needed anything so I attempted to flag down someone else by saying "excuse me!" and was blatantly ignored, with the employee even smiling and laughing as he walked away from me. another employee stood there as well and stared at me, but never came over. finally, a female employee saw us trying to get someones attention and she went and got our server. I asked if I could get my food wrapped and then we asked if we could order another round because again, he said the bar was open until 11. he then said "were closed" and we said I thought you told us the bar was open until 11? and he said no problem I can get you another round. so why are you telling us you are closed when you told us the bar was open until 11? we then witnessed others trying to walk in for a drink - it wasn't even 10:30 yet, and they were being turned away. meanwhile, others were being allowed in to have a drink. Weird. our server came back over with our drinks and asked if I wanted to wrap my food, even though I had already told him I did 5 minutes ago. the entire time we were eating, staff were around us folding up tables and stacking chairs. other staff would come by and little by little take every single thing off our table, clearly in an attempt to rush us out the door and let us know that our time was up and we should leave. between the 3 of us, we spent over $200 and were at the restaurant for less than 1 hour!! this was our first time here and will likely be our last, which is a shame because the food was very good and the ambiance was nice. Terrible service - here's a tip, don't accept reservations if you don't want to actually serve people at that time!!
