During our recent visit to Osteria de Borg, we were initially drawn in by the allure of its cozy terrace. Our expectations were quite high, anticipating a delightful dining experience. However, I must admit that not everything went as smoothly as I had hoped.
The culinary journey began with the mixed croutons appetizer. Although the flavors were decent, we were taken aback when a mushroom salad arrived on the side. Initially, we thought it was part of the appetizer, but to our surprise, it appeared separately on the bill during payment. While it was only a minor cost, it still left us feeling a bit disappointed with the communication.
Moving on to the main course, I opted for the mixed meat dish. Unfortunately, I found it to be overcooked and excessively dry. This impacted my overall enjoyment of the dish, except for the sausage, which stood out as the most flavorful element. On the brighter side, I must commend the chef for the delightful meatballs and zucchini, as they truly impressed my taste buds.
I believe that Osteria de Borg has the potential to improve and offer an even better dining experience in the future. Perhaps paying closer attention to communication with customers about additional charges for sides would be beneficial. Additionally, ensuring the main courses are prepared to perfection will certainly enhance the overall satisfaction of the patrons.
I genuinely wish the restaurant the best and hope that my feedback can contribute to their ongoing growth and success.
