Osteria del Castellazzo

This is a real local gem. The owner served a fantastic housemade dry moscato that paired well with the salumi and faggotini (as well as the very hot evening!). The menu features local cuisine. Service was attentive. Highly recommended.

Delicious food in a friendly, homey setup. We had a special lasagna which was amazing. Also a bisteca fiorentina, also excellent. The waiter recommended an excellent red wine. We were four people, ended up paying 280€, but that included two grappas and a bottle of wine, approximately 100€. So we paid 45€/person excluding drinks. I would go back to try other foods as well.

The food here is amazing and the staff are very friendly. We had a wonderful evening in this beautiful part of Salsomaggiore. We will be back for sure.

Bad experience for high expectations. Dishes were either too salty or lack of taste. It seems like the cook does not taste the food. Roast beef was overcooked and dry. Waiter was friendly with ordering, but after the first dish did not ask if the food was good and just served the 2nd and 3rd dishes without saying anything. If you do not appreciate smoking, don't sit outside. We were in between smokers which was not pleasant during the courses, the smoke stays below the canopy. Overpriced for the quality you get. You are better of with good quality for less money at L'incontro or La Primula.

Great dinner! Local products, sustainability, good service, cosy atmosphere. A must if you're in the area.

Be aware of the extras not in the menu, a real ripoff! Other than that, food is not good either, avoid this place…

We have had a very bad experience We wait for a long time and asked how long we stilll have to wait The owner got very upset, start yelling at one of the guest and refusing to serve desserts I have been in thousand of restaurants worldwide and I have never seemed something like that

Authentic modern Italian food. Traditional but with delicious twists. Family-friendly place. So glad we have found it!
