Best meal we had in Tuscany!! We visited different small towns in Tuscany, Leone was the best. We first came here for dinner and we loved it. We had truffle pasta and slow cooked pork which were just both amazing. Couldn’t skip dessert which was chocolate fondente with gelato. Then, we came again for lunch and tried 2 different pastas: fig with prosciutto and pici with clams. Fig with prosciutto was such an interesting and lovely combination, and I’m really glad I ordered it. They go together super well. Pici with clams was also tasty. We finished with tiramisu and it was perfect. Can’t wait to go back! I’m drooling while writing this review.

Wow! What a great meal!! Our waiter was great! He was helpful explaining the dishes. We had great wine, a great meal, dessert, and digestivo!! A truly great experience in the small tuscan town of Bagno Vignoni! A superb way to start our Tuscan vacation!

Restaurant located in the middle of the small village with rustic, simple and cozy furnishings. Good selection of regional dishes on the menu. They offered also an extensive menu of the day. All our dishes were very tasty. Effortful, friendly and polite staff. The following day the operator even personally took care of the problems we had with our bill and payment processing.

We had a WONDERFUL meal here. We stopped in Bagno Vignoni on a 6 day walk through Tuscany and this meal was one of the highlights. Elevated Tuscan classics. Staff were super friendly, quaint rustic tmosphere. I was genuinely sad we couldn't eat there again to try more dishes! Highly recommend.

The food was above expectations. The choices were not the typical tourist fare and offered visitors a genuinely novel Tuscan experience. The place has a Michelin mention but this does not reflect on the price. Very good value for your money. The staff was friendly and spoke English quite well. While the place doesn’t have extensive outdoor sitting with the view of the spring, it does have a private garden hidden at the back with ample sitting. Overall, a recommendable place for dinner.

We really enjoyed our lunch here, the dishes were delicate and prepared nicely. The trippa was interesting and flavourful, and I really liked the vitello tonnato. Very recommended spot with friendly service and a nice inner terrace!

The hostess is Romanian and like to speak and advise customer or arrange something special on their request. The chef is Italian inventive, sympathetic and make great plates with a willingness to make you discover new tastes or herbes. Both have a good sense of humor and will welcome you even for a dessert or a glas of wine late in the eveninc. Visitors come back years after years as the atmosphere is so sympathic and the food so great. Make sure you reserve, especialy on Saterday. The portions are not small but moderate so, consider a appetiser and a primo or secondi. The prices are moderate and not higher that a not-so-good place called La Terrasse, the restaurant of the Albergo Le Thermes. Overall, count about 30 - 50€ /person. A place I went twice over the we.

Yelp
We had one of our favorite meals during our trip in Bagno Vignoni. The restaurant is super charming and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, my phone was dead so I didn't snap any photos of our meal. We ordered stuffed zucchini flowers to start, followed by the handmade pick which was delightful. We shared the bistecca fiorentina which was recommended "a Sangue" which is essentially rare. I don't love rare meat but this was the absolute exception. It came out sizzling hot (1.5kg) of delicious, perfectly seasoned meat. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I highly Recommend it! We also ordered a variety of contorni (side dishes) log seasonal vegetable which were excellent and balance out all the pasta we ate! Lovely place, that I'd go back to.

Yelp
The first thing to note is that as of October 2017 the location of this restaurant is incorrect. The are not located at the spa, but are on the main square of the town. We stopped here while driving the Tuscan countryside based on a recommendation on one of Rick Steve's books. They have entrances on two sides, one with tables on the plaza, and another directly of the street. We were offered either Italian or English menus. The translation on the English menu was good, but you might not recognize dishes with well known Italian names. We ordered the tartar of beef shared. It was beautifully presented on a slab of slate. A drizzle of anchovy oil around a tower of meat atop a small later of fresh ricotta. A couple of small sheds of lettuce affirmed the top. The flavors really worked well when you got a bit of every thing together. For those alarmed by the idea of the anchovy oil, don't be. When dabbed up with the meat and cheese it added umami without being noticable. Yum! We tried to order the rabbit salad and the sliced duck, unfortunately they were out of both. A fact they neglected to mention until we asked for them. Instead my wife had tagliolini with scoreze truffles (summer truffles). This was a lovely fresh pasta with lots of shaved truffles. An amazing value for Americans who couldn't imagine buying that much truffle for only 18 Euros. I had a special roasted pork with peppers. The peppers were medium heat, served whole on top of the pork. They were delicious with the perfectly cooked meat and the drizzle of sauce on the plate. A good choice if you are in the area. Some of the rooms are charming, others less so, but the food is good. If it hadn't been cool and threatening rain or would have been great to sit on the plaza.

Yelp
Location: just a stone foot away from the main attraction of Bagno Vignoni. Atmosphere: very intimate and cozy. Stone wall construction which might cut your mobile network, they do offer some Wi-Fi. Still, you are here to enjoy the ambiance of this traditional place which, especially in the winter time, is a tired traveller's heaven. All tables and chairs are rustic old wood which is harmony with the vibe. Family and dog friendly as well. Menu: do check out the daily specials as everything is based on the season's ingredients. Hearty portions, great selections of ingredients and definitely a very pleasurable lunch stop. Should you be here in Oct/Nov do have their truffles! Vegetarian Options: Ribollita (veg. soup), Pasta and Side dishes. Price: slightly above average but worth it. Service: friendly and fast. Scelte vegetariane: ribollita, paste e contorni. Prezzi: sopra la media ma contenuti. Servizio: cordiale e veloce Wifi: presente

Yelp
It pains me to give this lovely little restaurant only 3 stars, but the fact is, the dining bar is high in Tuscany. We had an artichoke appetizer, tube pasta in red sauce, tortellini, and a lamb dish. The presentations were good, the food was well plated, but the flavors were inconsistent, and either flat or overwrought, except for the pistachio mousse dessert, which was quite good. The service was a bit uncomfortable, in that the nervous young millennial wait person seemed unsure about the cuisine on the menu, and further selected a young and tannic red, after we specified a rich, full bodied balanced and softer bottle..I should of returned the bottle, but at this point did not want to create further tension around our dining experience. In retrospect, I should have returned the wine, as it never opened up, and cost a lofty 75 euros. These are first world problems, but that's the way it goes. Next!
