As someone who’s not a Michelin Guide expert, I can say with certainty that Osteria del Viandante deserves far more than just a single star—it’s a place that’s clearly shooting straight for a second. This was the highlight of our entire trip, and honestly, it’s hard to imagine anything else living up to this experience. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with a level of service that instantly set the tone for what was to come. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us through each course and ensuring that our every need was met. Their genuine passion for the food was evident, and it made the entire meal feel like a special event. Now, let's talk about the food. The multi-course tasting menu was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was an artwork, bursting with flavors that were as bold as they were delicate, every bite perfectly balanced. It’s clear that attention to detail and creativity are at the heart of this restaurant, with the chef pushing boundaries while respecting tradition. Though we had to take the train from Bologna and later a cab back to the city, it was worth every minute of the journey. Outstanding experience from beginning to end. Top notch food, it's literally art in presentation and taste. Gorgeous facility in renovated ancient building. We had the best dinner of our entire trip to Italy here. This place is very much worth a visit, and we will definitely be back again the next time we are in the Modena area.

Warm atmosphere, great staff and excellent recent renovation. Probably one of the best restaurant in the area. Incredible quality and do not forget to visit the canteen. Overall you feel like being in the House of Gucci movie. Recommended!

Nice restaurant in the centre of Rubiera. The location is elegant and warm. The personnel is welcoming and friendly. The cuisine is traditional and well prepared, with some interesting dishes such as the "Gran Crudo" of beef and the "Ganassino".

Amazing night at the newly reopened Osteria del Viandante! A young and dynamic staff that give it a bit of a twist while not forgetting local traditions and tastes! Highly recommended and... What a cellar!
