Osteria dell'Arco

"Enjoy a warm family welcome at this centrally located restaurant with an internal courtyard, where the menu features a good choice of traditional and authentic dishes full of flavour. The restaurant is run by the same friendly managers as the renowned and popular Boccondivino in Bra, where the Slow Food concept was born. Booking ahead is always a good option." - Michelin Inspector

Excellent lunch in a friendly, local restaurant we only realized after sitting down is affiliated with Boccondivino and Slow Food in Bra. Every dish was delicious: gazpacho, vegetable meatball starter, homemade pastas, vegetables and guinea fowl. 🤌

The tajarin with truffle was amazing! Super delicate, great quality butter, generous portion of shaved white truffles, the pasta super tasty, handmade. I ordered the beef with mushrooms on the recommendation of the waiter. It was good, but the meat was a tad chewy. I still ate it, but compared to the pasta, oh my Lord! I sat outside, the atmosphere was lovely, tucked away from the piazza, and the service was on point. Super kind staff.

Best veal tartare of my life and its incredible to have a 10 euro glass of barolo. Was recommended by local truffle shop. Great business lunch spot and cozy romantic dinner spot.

In love with this restaurant. I had the best sweetbreads I’ve ever had, came with caramelized onions, stunning . Absolutely amazing and a must. The tajarin with ragú was also amazing. Great quality pastas. We also did the ravioli en rabbit. Very accessible prices. Short but good wine list. It was full of locals which is always a good sign. A very casual spot with great food and service.

If you visit Alba, you MUST visit this restaurant. I strongly recommend the Tajarin; it’s made with forty egg yolks and Alpine butter. Ask to have white truffle too in it. At first you might think the Tajarin is bland, but as you take your second, third, nth bites, it becomes EXPONENTIALLY BETTER EACH BITE. It is simple, but absolutely heavenly. It is divine. Please, please, don’t skip that dish! I’d give it an infinity number of stars out of five! I love it so much!!

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to. The food service and wine selection are exquisite. We especially enjoyed the gnocchi and financiera. A rare dish to find and perfectly executed. A must for all foodies visiting Alba, Grazie chef Fabricio and all the staff

Based on reviews I decided to have lunch here during a day trip from Turin. I arrived soon after the restaurant opened and was seated right away. I ordered the veal tartare and the roasted veal. For the wine I asked for a suggestion based on my order. The tartare wasn't anything special, it was bad but nothing that made me want to ever order it again. The main course however was just the opposite as it was very enjoyable and really took my time to savor each bite. The wine was a bit tight and took a while for my half bottle of Nebbiolo to open up. It was good but not great.

Yelp
Recommended by the manager of the apartment we rented for 4 days and it was across the piazza from the apartment tucked away in a little courtyard off the piazza. Great service and food. Must have reservations.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! The truffle pasta did not disappoint as it was quite delicious. Even without truffle, the pasta is homemade and delicious. The ambiance was very quaint. Good for business lunch or casual vacation lunch.

Yelp
What on earth is impaling Matt R and where is it going? This place is off the chain, and the service is astounding. Maybe he's West Coast or some big city. Lighten up Matt. Everyone else, beat a path here. Shout out to my boy Andrea. Great recommendations on how to eat like a local

Yelp
First meal in Alba. No wonder why people raved about this little restaurant. We had the seasonal all white truffle tasting menu (3 courses @ 85€ / pp) and you get to chose from among the 7 various dishes on the tasting menu as you like. Ordered: Beef Tartare - super fresh and the Italians got their tartare done right. I believe only simple salt, pepper, and olive oil were used and it's truly the best tartare I've eaten. Aosta Cheese fondue with croutons - nice gooey cheese fondue with two slices of toasted bread which they referred as "croutons", while there's nothing wrong with the dish but the cheese did overpowered the white truffle. Egg cocotte x 2 - never had this before and I don't know why. I read online about the dish and always curious why everyone likes it so much when it looked like a soupy mess but it did tasted as good as everyone said. Don't judge the book by the cover. Must order! Tajarin buttesauce - 40 yolks pasta can't go wrong with that! Plin ravioli - though I preferred the tajarin, this ravioli dish was still fabulous (A la carte) tiramisu - soooo delish, must order.

Yelp
We were a group of 5 and we got seated quickly (we had a reservation but we were a bit late for it). 2 people ordered the white truffle menu which consists of 3 dishes with white truffles. They do not add the truffles in front of you, it comes with a pre-set amount from the kitchen. no charm of grating them at the table... I order the gratin onions with Parmesan cheese I found the portion too big. One onion would be enough since the dish is a bit on the heavier side. My dinner mates ordered the tartare and shrimps and those were also good. As a main dish I got the tajarin with truffles and it was also very tasty. We asked for help to choose the wine and we were surprised by a very VERY good bottle of Barbara d'Alba that wasn't expensive at all. At the end we had some coffee, grappas and amaretto. We were very well served. Our check came to around 75 euros per person. Very good for the amount of things we ate and drank. I'd go back for sure.

Yelp
No trip in the region of Piedmont is complete without a meal at Osteria dell' Arco. I've been coming here for the last 4 years when I started indulging in the bounty of what Piedmont has to offer, one of which is the super elusive white truffles. Osteria dell' Arco captures the essence of what restaurants in Piedmont do better than any region in Italy. It offers uncompromisingly high quality standards yet affordable. It also offers top quality wine from the region as well as serve the best aperitifs and digestifs. I have tasted panna cottas all over Italy however theirs is arguably the best. This resto is a favorite among locals and tourist alike hence reservation is a must.

Yelp
Food was respectable but the service was abysmal. Once we sat down at the table, we were ignored for 15 minutes. After we placed our order, our first course was served and we were 75% done with it before our bottle of wine arrived at the table. Then, the service accelerated to the point that the next course was delivered just a minute after the plates were cleared from the first course. In short, we felt that we had been singled out for exceptionally poor service. With better service, we'd be happy giving this restaurant 4 **** but it was a clear miss for us tonight and we are knocking this down accordingly.

Yelp
We enjoyed Gnocchi, ravioli, tiramisu, half bottle of barbera, glass of barolo chinato dessert wine. Cost was USA$57. Now that may not seem like the lowest cost luncheon you have ever had for 2 people, but realize that all the pasta is made from scratch. Tiramisu is a dessert that I almost always find disappointing in the USA, but here it was absolutely delightful and I'm sure homemade. The half bottle of wine was mediocre, but it only cost 10 bucks. We even had one glass of a dessert wine that we shared. This was probably the best price to quality ratio restaurant that we found on our trip to the Piemonte. There was a female waitress who spoke perfect English and was very friendly. Multiple people told us this was a spot to try and we were very thrilled to get in. Every table was eventually taken in the restaurant. Reservations suggested. We just called on our cell phone on a Monday morning and were able to book the reservation. One other important note: it is a little hard to find but look for an alley with a very small parking gate. The signs are almost invisible as they are very small.

Yelp
Our hotel highly recommended this place for dinner during our trip in Alba, and it didn't disappoint! It was white truffle season so we brought the fresh white truffle we hunted the day to the restaurant and they were so friendly to let us serve on the dishes. The raw beef and tajarin pasta with white truffle was my favorite! Great wine too!

Yelp
So glad I stumbled across this place! I had a fabulous meal, could not have been happier. The braised veal was to die for. Part of the slow food movement and I enjoyed every bite. I'll go back just as soon as I can.

Yelp
Wonderful small restaurant with a great white truffle menu! Nice wine selections and good service.
