Yelp
Hidden (perhaps a little too well) between the Testaccio and Trastevere areas of central Rome, this restaurant offers a creative take on roman and other italian classics. The dining room and decor are great, suggesting a welcoming and almost familial atmosphere. Service is great, with front of house staff being helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. Perhaps unusually, all staff seem to care for all tables, which makes for a collegial and familial, though a little disorganized, dining room. The tasting menus are likely the stars of the dining experience, with 6-10 course options all consisting of memorable takes on traditional dishes, the fried lamb being one of the stand out courses. Options are available for vegetarians as well, and the staff is always happy to make adjustments to accommodate diners' needs. Finally, wine recommendations by the co-owner/sommelier are also great, pairing expertly sourced italian wines with as many (or as few) of the courses as the diner desires. Definitely worth a stop.
