Everything was beautifully prepared by the chef. I really loved the meal we had and felt very lucky to get a table here.

The food was exceptional, the quality of the ingredients is exquisite (wine, homemade pasta, meat and olive oil) this place is a true representation of Italian cooking done well. I ate here 10 years ago and it was just as good this time around, highly recommend if you want a true taste of Tuscany in Kyoto!

My husband and I had been looking forward to going to the restaurant but our disappointment started as soon as I called to make the reservation. I was told that as “tourist” we had to have a pre fix meal and couldn’t even look at a menu and choose what I wanted. I Immediately didn’t want to visit the restaurant but my husband did so we went. The service was ok. The food was ok. But it was clear that we were given a mediocre piece of steak in comparison to the only other table in the restaurant who happened to be locals. We also were charged more than them. We’re from NY and have dined at Michelin restaurants and have visited many other countries including the Tuscany/Florence area where the chef allegedly get his influence from and not once, have I ever been treated how I was was at this restaurant. I will recommend the Michelin guide remove this restaurant from its suggestion and will urge anyone who is not from Japan to visit the many other good Italian restaurants in the area that are welcoming and fair to tourist.

We loved this place. Really small - just six tables and four people running the place. Menu was limited to solid, top quality pasta and meat - all you need for Italian. A little pricey, but still recommended. Good service, delicious food. We felt like we were back in Florence for a couple of hours.

I was told to come to this restaurant by a friend that lived in Kyoto for years. It was a gem! The food was excellent!! Our group ordered everything twice :) The pastas and deserts were spot on. You will be happy you came!

Reservation only - turned us away even after saying we would book for another day and said they’d be closed even though it stated online and on their door they aren’t closed on Tuesdays.

Lovely little Italian place smack in the middle of Kyoto! Good service, good food - home made limoncello - by a cook trained in Tuscant. Did I mention the wine?

Napoli in Kyoto, chef is every summer being trained in Napoli, they import mozzarella from Italy and a huge italian oven is filling up 20 percent of the place, pure love for Italian food.
