We had the most wonderful experience here. Traveling with our 18-month-old and pregnant wife can sometimes make dining out a bit tricky, but the staff here went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were kind, accommodating, and genuinely thoughtful — making space for us, engaging warmly with our toddler, and ensuring everything was just right. The food and drinks were equally amazing — beautifully prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell this place is run with heart. It’s rare to find a spot that makes you feel like family while serving such high-quality offerings. Don’t miss it — especially if you’re looking for somewhere warm, stylish, and family-friendly. I was looking for a restaurant in this area and as it was Monday most of the restaurants were closed - except of this Osteria. A bless for me! So I booked a table, got up there and had to realize that it is not only a restaurant but an astonishing hotel built in the style of a little village. Beautiful! I loved it right at sight. So basically, I can only report about the restaurant which fantastic. Lovely people and great service. You get a welcome drink, the food is delicious and of high quality. I had a filet steak with truffle. I enjoyed my time there a lot. THANKS to the team.

We stayed here for 1 night on a little getaway from Florence. If I could do it again, I would definitely stay longer. ||||The dinner was absolutely amazing and easily one of the best top 5 food experiences of my life. Between my husband and I, we tried 8 different dishes and all of them were excellent. The wine that Simone suggested, after hearing our tastes and preferences, was also excellent. The service was not perfect (we were offered the dessert menu before my husband received his main dish, and we had to wait a long time to order, for example), but the most important part (the dinner!) was absolutely excellent (and so was the view!). The breakfast could be a bit more varied (too many sweet foods and not enough savory / something other than bread or pastry). ||||After living in Florence for a few weeks, this was one of the best nights sleep I got--fresh air, quiet nights, waking up fresh in the morning to the rooter. I enjoyed my first espresso in the cool, quiet early morning (so great that a kitchenette was in our room to make some coffee!) ||||The pool and the setting was beautiful, the gardens are beautiful, Simone was very friendly, and overall, it was a perfect getaway for our family, baby included. ||||If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely make sure to get out of Florence and head straight here!

That food was really really good. We ordered for my 7 years old brother spaghetti and he told us that it was so tasty. My mum ordered pasta with truffle and let me taste it. I wanted Torrtelini with rabbit's meet. I really enjoyed this place.

We randomly found this gem during our trip to Tuscany. We had an excellent expierence from beginning to end! Everything we ate and were given to taste was delicious. Moreover, the service was excellent, super friendly, and professional! Considering the quality of the food, the prices are more than fair! Highly recommend👍🏼

My husband and I visited Osteria il Canto del Maggio for our wedding anniversary dinner. The location is elegant and well decorated, with nothing left to chance. At the same time it’s also very family friendly and kids are welcome. The food was divine, very delicate and researched. The chef definitely knows how to best value the Tuscan typical foods!

We unfortunately found this fabulous restaurant on our last night in Tuscany and worse still it was right on our doorstep and we’d travelled further afield for inferior food. The service was excellent the attention to detail outstanding and the food delicious. We had travelled to Florence to a well regarded restaurant for steak but the steak my son and his partner got here was way superior. I would highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be back.

We stayed at this beautiful place for 3 nights. It was very peaceful and calm just perfect to relax after busy days of exploring Toscany. We were eating at the Simona’s restaurant located next to our apartment. The chef is very talented young man. The food was brilliant, traditional with innovative twist. All the restaurant staff were very welcoming and helpful to explain the menu. Very important to me: Simona baked specially for me gluten free cakes and bread! Thank you so much! Everything was delicious .
