The restaurant’s decor and ambiance were pleasant, and most staff members were friendly. However, an older male waiter whose attitude left us feeling uncomfortable. The dishes were delicious but small in portion, so we decided to order additional main courses. When we requested this, the waiter repeatedly questioned if we meant to order desserts instead. I clarified that we wanted another main dish and dessert. His expression immediately turned strange—perhaps due to cultural differences in dining customs? I don’t know. After taking the order, he muttered a few sentences in Italian with a tone that sounded annoyed, though we couldn’t understand him as tourists But this behavior is not respectful to guests. Additionally, we were surprised to find a **10% mandatory service charge** added to the bill without prior notice. While the food quality was commendable, the combination of awkward service interactions and hidden fees overshadowed the positives. Tourist should be cautious about portion sizes and clarify payment terms upfront.

The DIAMOND of Rapolano Terme. Yes, this establishment is a touch more expensive than comparable restaurants in the area… but, in this traveler’s opinion: it is worth every Euro. The atmosphere? Modern, eclectic, and sleek. The food? Varied, interesting, and delightful. The staff? Attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. What more could you ask for! My only regret is that I did not discover this place sooner during my time in this stunning town.

Best meal we’ve had so far! Everything from the bread to the espresso was perfection. All homemade, local ingredients. We had the pork ragu Pici pasta, fried zucchini and zucchini flowers, insalata mista and a ricotta cream with candied orange for dessert. The ragu was so flavorful, I’ll be dreaming about it forever. The fried zucchini was lightly fried and salted perfectly. The salad lettuce was ribbon cut with perfectly ripe tomatoes. The ricotta cream was made using ricotta from the region and had a sprinkling of wonderful little chunks of candied orange. Even the Aperole spritz was the best I’ve had. The atmosphere feels as if you are at a dinner party at a friends home. You can feel and taste the pride this chef, owner and staff take in their restaurant. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you eat here!

Amazingly great food, the braised chianina beef and the Grigio pork bites should not be missed. The team were so friendly and the design of the place very unique. We almost missed the place and luckily went inside.

During our vacation we stayed in Rapolano with it girls and were lucky to find this great place. The owner Roberto is very welcoming but more importantly the food is just great and the staff are all so nice. We ended up going back on our last day and had an amazing dinner once again!

The owner here has great passion for it's guests and is very welcoming. The food is of high culinary quality and the wine menu is extensive with wines from all over the country. Also the dessert and coffee were delicious. So, go here for a good culinary (and yet affordable) night out with the best service you can ask for.

This restaurant in Rapolano Terme is absolutely amazing and undoubtedly one of the best we've ever experienced. It's no surprise that it has earned several awards, including Michelin recognition and also one of the best restaurants in Italy. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by an exceptionally friendly staff who provided top-notch service throughout our visit. The food was simply outstanding from start to finish. The appetizers were delicious and expertly prepared, the main course was perfectly balanced, and the dessert was heavenly, melting in our mouths. Our daughter said it was the best meal she’s ever had. This restaurant not only met our expectations but far exceeded them. It’s a place truly deserving of all the praise, and we’ll definitely be returning. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Rapolano Terme, this is the place to go.

As a travel host/chef, designer and writer, I typically give a restaurant in Italy ONE chance. There are so many good places here. If the food OR service is mediocre, I take my guests to the next place. Last night, I discovered a jewel, nestled in the ancient village of Rapolano Terme! The food was above reproach...the service, absolute perfection! The atmosphere Gianfranco created is like a warm hug. Great lighting...Comfy chairs and fabulous tableware. Serving our dessert on Richard Ginori stole my heart!!! At the end of dinner, we were detained by a downpour of rain, however, we were happy to remain a bit longer with our new friends! I would even say that coming to this restaurant gives me THE BIGGEST reason to return to the San Giovanni Rapolano Terme!! Grazie Gianfranco and team! I will see you again with my clients! BACI!!!

Little pretty Restaurant in Rapolano Terme, in the history center, decent choice, fish or meat, we enjoyed shrimp and a leek and fish soup as a start, then a first sea urchin dish and bottarga and finally a chocolate cake ! Roberta
