"Boasting an attractive outdoor space on Trapani’s main street, Osteria il Moro focuses on dishes that are deeply rooted in Sicilian tradition yet enhanced by original and creative touches, resulting in cuisine that is full of flavour and personality thanks to owner-chef Nicola Bandi. The menu features plenty of fish dishes as well as meat, including beef fillet in a red sauce with spices and wild herbs, and Trapani-style mullet. The impressive wine list includes a good selection of regional labels." - Michelin Inspector

I was underwhelmed. Classy looking place, nice music and well dressed waiters but I found the menu very limited on choice and what I had was only average. My starter was extremely overcooked- like it had been deep-fried more than once. My main was not appetizing to look at and tasted bland. Dessert was tasty. One of the most expensive meals we had last week (€200+) and one of the most disappointing. We had a great meal the night after, just down the street for €85!

Osteria Il Moro is a true gem in Trapani refined, elegant, and deeply rooted in Sicilian tradition. The dishes are creative yet authentic, with standout seafood, house-made pasta, and a thoughtful wine selection. Service is warm and professional, and the atmosphere is both intimate and stylish. Perfect for a special evening away from the tourist crowds. Highly recommended!

One of the best sensory experiences of my life. My palate was absolutely delighted by the chef's modern take on Sicilian authentic cuisine. Every bite made me feel home. Absolutely extraordinary.

Celebrated my birthday here and all I can say is they made it unforgettable. With very good food and lovely staff.

The understated and tasteful dining room was a welcome respite to bustling Trapani street life. The menu and dishes were creative and thoughtful. Flavors and textures complemented and contrasted in exciting ways. Subtle, sophisticated and surprising.

The service and prices are of a haute cuisine restaurant, but the food is dull, even compared to mid-range restaurants in the area. The flavors were pedestrian and unimaginative. For instance, the "scallops" were made out of octopus (or cuttlefish?), and in combination of wakame made for an earthy, salty, mild flavor. I would have actually appreciated some fresh scallops more. Similar for other dishes. The chef needs to rethink the flavor profile. Otherwise the service was very courteous and atmosphere pleasant. But just these are not worth the price.

The dinner was fabulous, we really enjoyed our evening. The food was delicious, my favorite restaurant after 2 weeks in Sicilia. Presentation, plates, taste are very well executed. Great job 👌 Pricing: 135 euro for two (around 67 euro pp) for 4 dishes each and 2 bottles of water. Only the service fees of 12 euro was above average, but service was worth it. Could expend the non-sea food choices for the primi piatti. Thank you.

Ordered off the lunch menu nowhere did it say the meal was fried? I ended up with fried shrimp and calamari that was over chewy there’s a four euro per person cover charge with the bread. They asked if we wanted oil and then they charged us six euro for olive oil because they must’ve brought a special one, not worth the money pass on it
