We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here. I ordered the seared scallops and my husband had the cioppino. Both dishes were delicious and generous enough to leave us with plenty of leftovers for another full meal. I also tried the berry salad and was thrilled that they allow you to order a half portion of any salad. It was fresh and flavorful. My husband enjoyed the clam chowder, which was also very good. We started with a loaf of bread to go with our first course, and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent—thank you, Cassandra—and the live music added a lovely touch to the evening. My husband was pleased with his old fashioned, and my raspberry lemon drop martini was so good I ordered a second. We will definitely be back!

This was a fun and enjoyable experience. The food was really good. Mainly had a dinner comprised of appetizers versus entrees. The best thing was the seafood sliders the roll was light and airy. The seafood filling was perfectly seasoned. The goat cheese is like a dessert, and the baget that accompanied it was light and perfect without being dense and heavy. The wontons were fresh and flavorful and have a wonderful zing. The drinks were great and the staff attentive. This is a great place to meet friends for drinks or dinner. I do wish they had better daily specials and with being a seafood specific restaurant I was hoping for a seafood special. Walking into a Jazz couplet was a great surprise.

Thanks for going above and beyond to make our anniversary special! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly, and service was fantastic. We will be back to visit again!

The warm goat cheese with strawberry jam and artichoke dip were delicious, as were the scallops and carbonara. Good portions and great service! The espresso martini was tasty and featured a cute little crab. 🦀

Restaurant Week continued with a delicious lunch at Osteria. Very comfortable environment with a fantastic staff. Vicki was very knowledgeable about a wine selection and a very attentive, personable, quality server. Very tasty Tomato Bisque and Caesar Salad. We had heard about the Grilled Salmon and it did not disappoint! Perfect ending Raspberry drizzled Cannolis with a refreshing Italian Toscany white. ❤️ this place!

While I gave this a 4 overall I would say the food is a 3. I had the Osteria Cioppiona, the seafood was cooked perfectly but the dish lacked seasoning. Not sure why they added the word spicy to the tomato broth. If you think a dash of black pepper is spicy than this is the dish for you. But at 50 bucks I expected more. My wife had the seared scallops. Again the scallops were cooked to perfection but this time the dish was very rich and I felt the bacon jam was an awkward pairing with the rest of the dish. The jam was very sweet. We also got the lobster sliders as an appetizer. They were good just not great. The service was outstanding waters and drinks were refilled quickly and all unused and dirty dishes were removed quickly from the table. The restaurant is also very nice inside, a little cold but still very attractive. The only other complaint was the mens bathroom. In a nice restaurant like this I shouldn't walk in and immediately smell the urinal. It looked like the urinal screen hasn't been changed in weeks. Something you would expect at a high school locker room, not at a nice eating establishment.

Best food I have had in years! From the spinach dip, then the pasta, and lets not forget about the oysters. Hands down it is worth every penny. Service was in line with the quality of the food. I will be back anytime I am eating Italian or if I am within 2 miles of the area. Give it a try, and you will not regret it!

Google
Everything is amazing each time we come here! Been here many times for many occasions and I am always satisfied! Everything is fresh and tastes amazing! I recommend anything with the Scallops! The Osteria Cioppino was awesome and a lot of food. The size of their entrees are great! Lobster Bisque, Lobster Slides, and the Crab Cake were our favorite starters. Please check this place out!

Yelp
Osteria Italian is one of those places I ride by all the time and think , I should try them... The other night my wife and I decided to darken their doors and try the restaurant. We had reservations for 5, early yes, but nessecary for our schedule. We walked in around the appointed time and was treated with high end nautical/seafood restaurant decor. The front of the house greated us and showed us to our table. Our appointed server approached us and ask its if we had any questions... At our request, he gave us a few minutes to browse the drink menu. My wife and I both selected the Mable Bacon Old Fashion It was an excellent choice. It had a great taste and even comes with a cooked strip of maple bacon. It was so good I ordered 2. We ordered the calamari as appetizer, again, a most excellent choice. The lobster bisque caught my eye, so I ordered a bowl. Its presentation was different than I have had before. It was served with a pastry on top. I found it to be a very tasty addition to a great bisque. For my main entree I ordered Osteria Cioppino. My wife ordered Fusilli Carbonara. Both dishes had fantastic flavor. The broth and ingredients on in the Cloppino was spot on. I was lucky enough get a taste of my wife's carbonara, and it was very tasty as well. The service was fantastic. We had a very enjoyable date night. I hate that we waited so long to try Osteria Italian. It is a mistake I will not repeat.

Yelp
Food was bad, service was nice but very slow. Spinach and artichoke dip - standard Seafood sliders - fine Caesar salad - good, had a sweet/sour taste that's was fun Tomato Bisque - bad Lobster bisque - pretty good Ortolana Pizza - good crust but way too much in a pizza, did not like Torchio Alla Bolognese - bad *this is a seafood restaurant perhaps the seafood dishes are better The service was very slow, one of the people at our table didn't get their soup until we were almost done. They did have a musical in one of the rooms that's nice if you are in that room. Otherwise atmosphere is just too big. The outdoor patio looks lovely though so maybe it's good for just a glass of wine or cocktail and a snack.

Yelp
I came here with a group for my sister's birthday dinner, and we had a good experience overall. The service was excellent. Our server was helpful with suggestions and attentive. The ambience is nice. They have a lovely blue, white, and gold color scheme going on. This is a place to go for a treat yourself meal. It was perfect for a birthday dinner. It is on the pricier side. The food was pretty good. I got the swordfish, which has a lemon sage beurre blanc sauce, capers, and crispy prosciutto. It's served with grilled asparagus and garlic baby red potatoes. It was a good meal. I hadn't had swordfish in a very long time, and it was well cooked. I will say I wanted a little more flavor out of that beurre blanc sauce. Really couldn't taste any sage. The crispy prosciutto on it was a highlight and elevated the flavor though. The potatoes and asparagus were fine, but not anything special. Not anything I couldn't make myself at home. And I think that's why I gave 4 stars, not 5. While the food was good, it wasn't absolutely delicious to where I was excited about it. Others in my group seemed to enjoy their food, but they were also mixed. My sister got the jumbo shrimp pasta. She loved the shrimp, but the pasta itself could've used a little more flavor. Another friend got the scallops, which she loved, but it also came with a risotto, and she made the comment that she's "had better" in terms of the risotto. A few got their wedge salad, and that might actually be a highlight. It looked so good that I wanted one. They also gave my sister a complimentary dessert, a cannoli, which was really good. This is a place where they treat people who are dining there very nicely, and that is a highlight. So, overall: great service, nice place, the food is good, though wasn't outstanding, especially given the prices.

Yelp
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an angel of a host who had such a lovely demeanor. She took the time to show me two available tables, each with a different ambiance, and told me which one her favorite was depending on the vibe I was looking for. So thoughtful! Then my server was equally friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. The restaurant is very pretty. There is a very cool outdoor seating area, a bar area with high top seats, and a large dining room flooded with natural light. I originally planned to go all in on seafood, but I ended up trying their lunch special-half sandwich, chips, soup combo. Excellent crispy chips. Kind of disappointing sandwich. The sandwich was a little dry and needed more flavor! Maybe a bit more of the pesto aioli, but also, an upgrade on the bread seems needed. It wa falling apart from the dryness and lacked any real flavor. That being said-lovely lobster bisque with actual chunks of lobster in it. I definitely want to come back and try more of the seafood items, seeing as that is what they are known for. Also, some of you will get this, the soda was SO good and extra spicy. Even the iced water and the glass it came in felt extra refreshing. Overall, a good spot. I would say stick with the items you would expect are their stars. (Oh, for my fellow deal hunters, they also had daily specials throughout the week and a good looking happy hour!)

Yelp
Went for my sister in laws birthday and the food was amazing! Our waiter went above and beyond and was super hospitable! Almost felt like we were at home rather than at a restaurant! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
WOW...this place is great. Hubby and I were in Louisville for a week. We are always looking for good Italian food, and we definitely found it at Osteria. The food is fresh, from scratch, and absolutely delicious. Hubby had lasagna, and I had spaghetti pomodoro. Both dishes were awesome. We sat at the bar, and the young man who waited on us for super friendly, funny, and nice. He seemed to know most of the people at the bar, which indicates the food, drinks, and atmosphere are great. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Louisville.

Yelp
Date night was a hit at Osteria! Live chello and saxophone music during dinner. Excellent server (Adam, definitely ask for Adam!) and the most delicious food we have had in a long time! The bisque is to die for. If you haven't made it by to try this restaurant, I highly recommend you do! We will be back often.

Yelp
I'm back. 3 trips in 13 days... this is crazy. I may need help at this point. walk in and everyone knows who we are already. Like hey I remember you weren't you just here. Now I'm not here for that sharp ass lobster bisque (please see the emojis used as they convey my emotions ‍‍) This round we got the Chesapeake Bay oysters and they did not play! Fantastic fresh and fat af (insert my * * too fat fah this nonsense) The New England clam chowder is divine!! My baby didn't like the celery but that's okay I ate them. She ordered the lasagna she loved it- asked for extra sauce and they sauced the queen alright!!! She loved the layers and how it had a crisp exterior and then the indulgence of the slice- soft buttery and tons of flavor and the cheeses. I ordered steak... first was perfect just no flavor. Other than the sauce which was a no for me- I didn't like it... y'all know I'm a weirdo - doesn't mean it's not good - I just didn't like it for me.... They decided to get the sauce off and seared it off and added flavor but very well done. Too done. I asked to keep it and I should of insisted harder lol it's on me for not just slapping hands and saying no loudly but I don't slap hands or get loud with people lmao I know to order it with no sauce now, period. Again otherwise it's great lol The staff here are phenomenal. So we thoroughly enjoyed our visit as always!!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with great service. I ordered the shrimp pasta and it was very flavorful. Great glass of moscato and beautiful presentation on the strawberry shortcake that was better than it tastes.

Yelp
I'll definitely keep this place in mind if I want seafood or pasta or both! It was very good but didn't blow me away. My seafood pasta was good but the mussels were tiny. And my partner got a different pasta which filled him up. We split a tiramisu which had Nutella in it which was tasty but not like amazing!

Yelp
The Food was absolutely delicious fabulous. The Ambiance was Auspicious. The service was great. Me & my friends celebrated our Taurus Birthdays and I chose this spot a great choice. We had the Lobster Rolls as appetizers and they were so delicious full of Lobster. I ordered the Scallops Tramorodo and it was spectacular. My friend ordered the Bass and she really enjoyed it. My other two friends had the Lasagna and they enjoyed it. The margarita was fantastic and came smoking so nice I had two. The Birthday dessert was absolutely divine and the presentation was grand. We had such a wonderful birthday celebration.

Yelp
The staff worked like a great team helping each other. The calamari was pretty good. The wedge salad tasted good. The tomato bisque soup was very good. It came with a puff pastry on the top of the soup. I got the carbanera noodle dish with scallops. The sauce was kind of rich. The scallops were delicious. My wife got the limon shrimp dish but substituted the shrimp for 3 scallops. The flavor was to her liking. My son got the manicotti dish with blackened chicken. He liked it. They gave my wife 2 canolis for her birthday. I didn't like them. They tasted like egg rolls with tooth paste in them. I was surprised they charge for bread but we got free bread with our meals. They give 10% off for military. Place is a little pricey. Good food.

Yelp
Brunch was absolutely perfect! The spinach dip appetizer was worthy of licking the cute little cast iron skillet it comes out in. I haven't stopped thinking about the lobster bisque since we left. The tables favorite was the special of the day, lobster omelet with the best fried potatoes we've ever had. They were coated in some sort of something like fried chicken. They were so delicious!! Our service was top notch as well. We came to celebrate my mom's birthday and were seated at a huge corner table and surprisingly had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Maybe it's not a known brunch spot yet but we will definitely be back for brunch and I want to come back for dinner sometime so I can try all the delicious looking choices on the dinner menu and get more lobster bisque!!!

Yelp
I ate here twice to give the place a fair chance. A fellow foodie warned me against going here but I decided to give it a try. For an establishment that identifies itself as an Italian Seafood Restaurant, less than half the main courses had anything to do with seafood and then only two courses that were actually fish and one fish was Salmon which no one would think of in relation to Italian Seafood. The other fish was identified as herb marinated cod. The server could not tell me which herbs the cod was marinated in nor could she tell me if it was true cod, nor did she offer to find out the answers to my questions. When questioned the server had no idea which oysters were on offer that evening other than one was East Coast and one was West Coast. I finally asked her to find out. She came back with that information but didn't bother to inquire as to my questions about the cod. I finally ordered. The oysters were delicious but they were raw on the half shell and merely opened. The scallop dish was atrocious. After having warned the server that I did not want overcooked shellfish and was assured that the scallops were simply seared on one side. I had overcooked scallops on a bed of very mushy lobster risotto. Covered with a sugar sweet sauce with corn, which totally detracted from the dish. The mini lobster roll was basically tasteless and nothing like a real fresh lobster roll should taste. The arancini were ok but I am not sure why Portuguese Sausage was used as an ingredient. Also everything was covered with a high pile of thin greens reminiscent of the 80's style of food. I then tried brunch. I had the crab cake Benedict. I had it served deconstructed as the last thing I wanted was sweet hollandaise on my food. I was so happy I made that request as all the food was cold when brought out and the hollandaise was more like an aioli if I am being generous but truly almost like a flavored mayonnaise. The eggs were poached perfectly and the crab cakes while small were almost all crab although I would not guarantee that it was fresh and it did have some shell in it, which totally turns me off when eating crab cakes. Pick that crab thoroughly, when it has shell in it, it's usually a lazy prep cook or they just emptied the crab out of a container. Plus once again everything was cold! The room is beautiful but to me looks more like a Greek establishment decor than the alleged Italian Seafood restaurant it claims. I mean they even have spaghetti and meatballs as a main course! I would not return and would definitely take a pass on ever going here if you have any other option.

Yelp
This place was so much fun. For not being near an ocean you would never know. The food all across the board was fantastic. Our server was awesome and the hosts were great. Such a hidden gem in the Louisville KY area.

Yelp
We had a great dinner, more of 4 and a half but can't give it a 5. Went there for Father's Day dinner, Osteria is a beautiful restaurant, bright and airy, nautical blue and white dominate. There's a bar at the entrance, and large tables with banquette seating at one end in the main dining area. The staff warmly welcomed us, though we reserved outside seating they were very nice and offered inside because the weather was so hot. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The service pace was just right, not too fast and definitely not too slow. We started out with some cocktails, oysters on the half shell, artichoke spinach dip and ahi tuna wontons. All were great, the oysters were over the top good. Stick with the Chesapeake oysters, they usually are the cheapest, but more importantly they taste the best, fresh and briny. For entrees, I committed a gastronomic faux pax and got the prime rib (it was Father's Day special) at a seafood restaurant but it's one of my favorites. I can make pretty good prime rib so I'm certain they could do better and it was, perfectly seasoned and cooked. I was going to get the cioppino but at the last minute the call for beef was too loud. My daughter had the mushroom Alfredo rigatoni and it was sublime, it was like the first time you had Alfredo sauce when your whole life Italian food was spaghetti and meatballs. Speaking of spaghetti and meatballs, that's what my wife got and the reason for the 4 stars. It was not good and if you're an Italian restaurant, seafood or otherwise, the most basic of Italian dishes should be nothing short of spectacular. Overall a great dining experience though, definitely worthy of a return. Will get the cioppino next time.

Yelp
I recently visited Osteria for a holiday dinner. It's located at the old Napa River Grill in Westport Village. There is ample parking and the restaurant was brightly lit. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by hostess and escorted to our table. Our server was attentive and patient as she worked to get drink order for 10 of us and separate dinner orders. Lots of delicious seafood options on the menu but opted for the grilled steakhouse chicken with Parmesan roasted potatoes and cauliflower ($35). The food was a little bland and I almost asked for salt. I couldn't taste the Parmesan on the potatoes, it just tasted like deep fried potatoes. All in all not the most memorable meal and for $35 it was overpriced in my opinion. The table received the "tiramisu", but as the description states, its just different flavored cake. Tasted like chocolate and vanilla cake. The wine and champagne were delicious and the bar area was small, but nicely set up. Would recommend for a quick drink on your way somewhere. The ambiance and service were excellent, but the food wasn't as great as I expected.

Yelp
Such a lovely meal outside with my mom and sister! We all got cocktail or wine to start, they have a great selection! I went with a glass of vermentino. We then split the lobster slider appetizers and I couldn't get enough!! Don't forget to squirt lemon on your lobster, makes a huge difference! For my meal I had the tiger prawn limone pasta. It was light and fresh, perfect for a night on the patio. Our server was super friendly and answered all our questions. Overall a wonderful experience, can't wait to go back!

Yelp
It's important for dining establishments to consider the needs of their diners. As a plant based eater I would not have chosen to dine at Osteria, however I did visit recently due a work dinner. My experience started off well - I was greeted promptly and escorted to our table. The server initially was very pleasant, taking drink orders and offering suggestions from the menu. The problem arose when I inquired about vegan options. Exactly zero of the appetizers, soups, salads, and entrees are vegan. They all include a variety of meats, dairy, and eggs. Rather than considering alterations or substitutions, our server immediately told me I should get the tomato bisque (soup made with cream, puff pastry with butter) and lasagna rotolo (pasta made with eggs, filling includes ricotta and mozzarella cheeses and pesto made with parmesan). When I pointed this out he said, "well, I'm not sure whether we can do anything vegan, but I'll ask the chef." He returned with one option each for salad and entree: caprese salad without burrata, and a vegetable plate. I said yes, as some food is better than no food. The caprese salad was pretty, but uninspired. The baby tomatoes didn't have much personality, and although the flavor from the larger sliced tomatoes was better they were mealy in texture. The basil and smoked pepper were good, but the balsamic was weak and there was no salt. The vegetable plate was AMAZING. The veggies were cooked beautifully and seasoned to perfection. But it was just veggies. No protein, no starch. The non-vegan entrees include yummy things like spaghetti squash, cannellini beans, polenta, and whipped potatoes. Including some of these with the vegetables would have elevated the dish and been much more satisfying. I understand the need to streamline back of house operations, however I firmly believe that diners with specific dietary needs and preferences should be able to enjoy just as lovely a meal as those without. The difference for me between an eh restaurant and a good one is recognizing this, and proactively taking steps to make all diners feel equally valued.

Yelp
Third time visiting and the food, cocktails, ambiance and service always impeccable. We sat outside on patio where there was live music. Osteria is one of my favorite restaurants. Will definitely be back again and again.

Yelp
I wish I had taken pictures. We went for my birthday and it was an A+++ experience. Every dish was delicious and our server helped me since it was my first time there. Her recommendation to add pasta to my seafood dish was inspired. I 1000% want to go back. I'll update this if I can remember what we ordered. But I really don't think you could go wrong with their menu.

Yelp
There are no words to describe how perfect our evening was! Jay, our waiter, was the absolute best. Checked in on us at the perfect times and never left us with an empty glass. Had great recommendations for the meal and even great drink suggestions for the meal. The food was perfect. We had the crab stuffed prawns, lobster sliders and the Caprese Salad. Everything we had was perfection. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Yelp
This may be the most elegant redo of any restaurant that I've seen in town. Osteria is an Italian seafood restaurant. The interior is elegant and gorgeous. It has a very comfortable blue white theme throughout the restaurant and it's done so well. You can come here regardless of the hour and it will be an elegant experience. On this occasion, I was here for lunch, I was seated promptly for our reservation. Our server dropped by to check in on me and made sure to fill our water glasses. The cocktail menu had quite a few options. I had to get the Sicilian spritz, the server told me that it had a really great presentation. He wasn't joking. It was also a really great flavor. It was probably one of the best versions of aperol spritz that I've had in town. For an appetizer, my friend and I split the goat cheese bruschetta it was so flavorful. It comes with about five pieces, which is enough for a table of four as well. Well if you want to share because honestly, it could be someone's entrée as well for lunch, I got the vegetable frittata. Now I don't normally get frittata at restaurants, but this one was different. It had potatoes, mushrooms, cheese and arugula to top it off. It was so tasty and flavorful. I was very pleasantly surprised. They did a beautiful job. My friend ordered the lobster sliders for her entrée and they also looked decadent. For dessert, my friend just had her birthday so we got strawberry shortcake. The flavors were wonderful, the ambiance was out of this world and our server was the best. Will go back.

Yelp
A new restaurant serving seafood, and I am digging it! We visited for happy hour and left pleasantly surprised! Swift service, beautiful and plating. Zero complaints for their second day open! The Lobster Roll tasted like delicious plump high quality Lobster, instead of mayonnaise and other products used to water down lobster/crab dishes. Chesapeake Oysters were $3 a pop. Not bad. Happy hour is a steal and a great inexpensive option for folks unable to afford the entree pricing. It's also great for people who normally eat bar food but won't agree to visiting the restaurant, bring them to the outside bar and convert them! The outside bar is where we sat, and I highly recommend the laid-back vibe. I am looking forward to visiting next weekend for the full restaurant experience!

Yelp
Made reservations for party of one and was seated right away. Service was good because server was attentive. Food is actually more like 3.8 stars. Lobster bisque - 4 stars. Loved the puff pastry on the outside. And it did have a small bit of lobster in the soup. I've tasted better bisque but it was above average. Ahi tuna wonton - 1 star. was not good. Barely any tuna and the wonton chips were thick and not crunchy at all. Soggy because of all the veggies they put on it. Spaghetti con vongole - 3 stars - I ordered it as a suggestion from the server. Good thing is that the portion size was just right. I was able to finish it all. The flavor was okay. I wish that the clams were larger and that there was a tiny bit more sauce. Affogato with caramel ice cream - excellent and creamy ice cream. Went great with the espresso

Yelp
Went to happy hour one day last week. We arrived around 4:45/5:00 o'clock. Didn't look like it was open because it was very difficult to see into the restaurant. If it wasn't for the server on a smoke break out back we would have left. (Makes me wonder how many people have drove by and left thinking the same thing.) Luckily for us we had the bar to our selves. Drinks were great and the happy hour apps were hot and fresh. Service was top notch as well!

Yelp
Came here twice in the past two weeks, was absolutely amazing both times. Didn't like that it was $100 per person on derby day but definitely worth it any other day.

Yelp
We were really looking forward to trying something new especially so close to home but we're rather disappointed with food, however the rest of the experience (ambience, staff, drinks, etc.) was phenomenal. We walked right in and sat at the Bar on Saturday night which I was rather surprised by considering it's the weekend before Valentines Day but nothing the less we're glad we didn't have to wait like we were expecting too. I started with an Espresso Martini which was Devine and my husband ordered an Old Fashion as well the Baked Eggplant Involtini which is Eggplant rolls with ricotta, mozzarella, marinara, and basil. Volare has a dish that is similar to this that I absolutely love so I was excited to taste their version of it however I shouldn't have expected it to taste the same, bc I wasn't a fan. The bartender offered for us to try a different appetizer and suggested the Shrimp Scampi which we agreed however the shrimp was overcooked. Before ordering dinner, we got a bottle of wine - Belle Glos Clark & Telephone which was absolutely Devine. It was very smooth and one of the best Pinos I've ever had so I highly recommend!!! For Dinner we decided to share the wedge salad and the Short Rib Stracotto which were both just okay, the wedge was extremely small compared to a normal wedge salad and the 18oz slow cooked bone-in short rib was on top of creamy polenta (which was sooo good) with carrots and broccoli surrounding the plate. I would like to go back, order something different and give them another shot. There are several other things on the menu I would like to try.

Janet S.

Yelp
This is a fish restaurant. I ordered a cod sandwich. Over cooked, square shape that would have been better at a fast food place. Very disappointing.

Yelp
Osteria Italian Seafood replaced the Napa River Grill location in Westport Village. Although their menu and vibe differs from Napa, they still had some classic Napa dishes on the menu. Great ambiance and great happy hour-- daily until 6pm. The seafood dishes we ordered were high quality. We had mussels and frites for an appetizer and I had risotto and shrimp for dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a reservation and we were promptly seated. Excellent service throughout the night. Ordered the herb monkey bread and calamari for starters. The bread was wonderful. Calamari was okay. For dinner we ordered mushroom Alfredo rigatoni, lasagna rotolo, crab cake, and the lobster bisque. Really enjoyed all of these. Great night but it is pricey.

Yelp
This locally owned restaurant is absolutely delicious. Our waiter was very attentive. My wife and I visited during happy hour on Valentine's Day. They had a special Valentine's 3 course menu and their usual menu. Glasses of wine were half price and well drinks were $5. We both had a glass of Moscato. We ordered the lobster sliders. They were really good. The lobster meat paired with the challah bread made for a delectable appetizer. I had the spaghetti con vongole. I really enjoyed it! I can't wait to come back during the summer so we can take advantage of their outside seating.

Yelp
Wonderful dinner on a Thursday evening from 6-9 PM for a party of 5 and service was exemplary. The restaurant is lovely with white linen tablecloths, comfortable chairs, and tasteful decor and lighting. We were seated in the main dining room and it did become a bit loud during the height of dinner service and difficult to have conversations at a normal volume; however, it was a brief amount of time overall for a weeknight. We were pleased to learn that we arrived prior to happy hour ending at 6 PM. We started with a glass of wine -- I had a glass of the Argyle Pinot noir $10 and a few of my table mates had the Chianti, which we were all pleased. I started with a Caesar salad $8 which I appreciated being one of the more authentic versions I have enjoyed in quite some time -- it featured several mild anchovy filets artfully placed atop crisp romaine and Parmesan crisps and dressing was delicious. I chose the evening's special $36 of housemade linguine with 7 succulent plump tail-on shrimp, a creamy lobster sauce with a touch of mild heat, roasted juicy tomatoes, and tender baby greens and shoots. This was accompanied by a rustic bread with a crunchy exterior and tender interior to dip in the delicious sauce. Presentation was a feast for the eyes and the food lived up to the visual. We had a wonderful dinner and will definitely return.

Yelp
Made a reservation at Osteria to celebrate Valentine's Day. It was my first time there and will definitely go back. The lobster sliders as an app were awesome and I had the mushroom alfredo for dinner and it was excellent. Service was great and was pretty reasonably priced for a nice dinner out.

Yelp
Ambiance, service and most important, the food was super. We were looking forward to an anniversary dinner that was a little special. It certainly was at Osteria, more so than we expected! The lobster roll starter was a pleasant surprise, it reminded me of a place called Arnold's Lobster & Clam Bar in Orleans, MA that has a similar offering as a warm lobster roll. My partners carbonara dinner was a hit as was my clam with Portuguese sausage entre. What a treat. Our service attentive and with more than with a smile, we felt at home once we were seated and the shade lowered to block the low after noon sun. We are looking forward to returning, Osteria is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Everything is amazing each time we come here! Been here many times for many different occasions and I am always satisfied! Service is great, everything is fresh and tastes amazing! I recommend anything with the Scallops! The Osteria Cioppino was awesome and a lot of food. The size of their entrees are great! Lobster Bisque, Lobster Slides, and the Crab Cake were our favorite starters. Please check this place out!

Yelp
So first let me say I really love the ambience in this restaurant and we were all big fans of Nappa river grill. Want this place to improve and succeed. 1. Several people at our table -different pasta dishes needed work. Lemon pasta had no flavor of lemon, chicken parm 'needed salt' and Pomodoro sauce was not very exciting 2. Tried to do early dinner to go watch a show but ... dinner took 3 hours 3. Had ahi wontons. Spent the night with horrible intestinal sickness. Check food temps in that kitchen! Spend some more time on this restaraunt and less in Lou Lou downtown. Your garden needs tending!

Yelp
Food was good! It's a bit pricey, but it makes for a nicer dinner and a good mix of seafood and non-seafood options. Would recommend if you're looking for a good option to have a nicer Italian dinner.

Yelp
Everything went well! The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The food is lovely and some very original dishes appear on the menu which is easy to view on this website or theirs. I had a shrimp and pasta dish that was delicious, and it was more than I could finish. We had the fabulous bread pudding dessert. Don't miss it! We were there for lunch. I love the ambiance. It is modern but not cold. Also it is upscale but not stuffy. It has just the right vibe for all ages. Most of the guests were younger than us, but we felt right at home celebrating my friend's 80th birthday. This was my third visit. This place is at the top of my list of favorites.

Yelp
Great for a large family dinner. Delicious food, excellent service and we were in a spot that was friendly for a toddler and a 6-year old.

Yelp
I enjoyed a nice dinner here with my family right before Christmas. Our server was excellent; she was very attentive. She accidentally forgot to put in one of our soups so it came out a little bit later (not even that much of an inconvenience as we had other appetizers), but she took it off our bill anyway which we appreciated. However... the food was extremely hit or miss. When something was good, it was great! But everything else was average. I would advise against ordering the lobster: it's obviously frozen. We tried the lobster bisque, the lobster rolls, and the lobster risotto and were not impressed at all. The clam chowder was also extremely over-salted, almost inedible. On the other hand, the shrimp was amazing! We all agreed the best dish was my mushroom Alfredo rigatoni with shrimp added. The baked shrimp scampi was a close second. Would absolutely go back just for these 2! The peanut butter crème brûlée was delicious as well, although we did not care for the truffle in the middle (it was quite bitter). I personally didn't care for the ambiance. We were tucked away in a dim corner and I could hardly read the menu. Some of the other tables are better lit so I don't think it's a problem all over. Ultimately, it was just okay. But some things are definitely worth going back for!

Yelp
Highly recommend this restaurant ...the food was so delicious I forgot to get a good photo before we dug in!!! From The ease of parking to greeting as we walked in and service throughout the entire meal was top notch! Kayla was our waitress and did an excellent job pacing through the evening. We will be back sooner than later!!! Nice Romantic evening

Yelp
Excellent service and simple decor. The food is very good and in some cases quite artfully displayed. I had the carbonara and it was good but a bit bland for my tastes.

Yelp
So delicious! We can't wait to go back for the full menu! David was a very attentive server and the patio was beautiful. The full menu starts at 3 and they have a 3-5 happy hour with half price glasses of wine.

We had lunch at Osteria. The food was wonderful. Very professional wait staff. Andy was our server. The decor was amazing. Will go back again.

Yelp
Wasn't too impressed with Osteria compared to other italian spots in Louisville. 1) The server never brought our wine 2) They put corn in our dish after explicitly telling them not to 3) the seafood pasta dish was just okay. one of the scallops had no taste at all. the pasta was stuck together and the pasta at the bottom had no sauce on it.

Yelp
Our party of 20 enjoyed every bit of this experience. 90th Bday dinner for our lively and lovely Arlene, in a large private room. Drinks were tasty, service was good, a/c was nice and cold, and the FOOD was fantastic. Lots of apps and desserts were shared & enjoyed, and my dinner was the stand-out. The pork chop. Sincerely, phenomenal flavor, juicy & tender, nice fatty ratio. I'm slobbering thinking about it right now. Darn...no picture of the food. But it was HUGE and tasty!!
