Lalibera has a mention in the Michelin guide, so our expectations were very high. We (four people) entered the restaurant at opening time: eight o' clock sharp. Since we had made reservations, we immediately got shown to our table and got the menu. Alas, after that the waiting began. It took them more than a quarter of an hour before they took our drink order and we had to wait another quarter of an hour before the drinks finally arrived and they took our food order. The complementary appetizer only arrived at 20.52h. At that time we were really hungry. I can't give an explanation why it took them so long to bring our order and get us our drinks, because there was more than enough staff working in the restaurant. Moreover we were still drinking our glass of bubbles when the sommelier came to our table to open the wine we had ordered to drink with our dinner. After we finished our aperitif, staff simply forgot to clear away the empty glasses. Such a shame that the service was so chaotic, because the food and the wine were really outstanding. I loved every bite of it. But the lack of attentive staff really made our visit less enjoyable than it could have been. And yes, in line with the rest of our evening: it took ages before we got the bill we asked for. Really a bummer.

Food was amazing. I had not hoped for white truples so early in October. But they made a dish made in heaven. Loved the paired wine to my dishes. A perfect meal

Stop looking for a restaurant! You've already found it. We were recommended this restaurant by a local store and walked here from the centre of alba (about 5 mins walk). We were greeted with amazing service, happy to rearrange tables for our party of 5. Shortly after we were brought grissini, bread, oil, water, cherries.... Already a good sign. Our meals were a veal tartare (light, fresh and tasty), a veal cheek (beyond soft, you don't need a fork...) Served on very fine buttery potato mash, and a tortellini, I didn't try it but my brother in law was happy. Desserts were also very tasty, all meals were very fresh.. they show a lot of technique in the kitchen. I will make sure to stop by here every trip to Alba. Enjoy!

Amazing service and food! We were at La Libera with a group of ten people, and we were seated in a private room that made the experience even more special. Thank you for a delicious meal!

We were a group of five having lunch. The service was great and the food even better, perfectly presented. Excellent wine selection.

Yelp
I had high expectations for this restaurant. The staff was friendly upon arrival and sat us immediately. I wish they would have had more menus in English instead of one. My biggest concern was when they went to replenish the bread, the sommelier brought it in her hand! I was floored that this establish would do this! the pasta with veal sauce was adequate at best and the shank and veal steak were also passable. my guest had burnt potatoes gratin with her veal steak. We did order a bottle of delicious wine, although it was opened in the back of the restaurant and not at the table. The wine list is the best thing at this restaurant. On a side note, I wish a wine region this famous would focus on the quality of the food in the region.

Yelp
One of the worst food experiences I have possibly had and I travel the world in search of great food. Sure there have been some misses along the way but not like this. The service here is appalling! The manager (if you can call her that) with short curly hair and wears glasses made me wait for 5 minutes to be seated when the restaurant was practically empty and what's worse is that she seated people who came in after me while I still waited. She went into the kitchen, proceeded to open a bottle of wine for a table, walked around the back of the restaurant and it was only after I questioned what was going on that she showed me to a table that was empty and right in front of me the entire time! It gets worse... I'm now sitting at my table waiting for a menu which takes forever to show up. She then leaves me hanging waiting for the wine menu. Other tables looked restless too and at that point I knew this meal was not worth it. I just got up, offered to pay for my water and left. She let me go too without a question. The Executive Chef should really look into his service team. It's a pity... I've heard the food is good but the entire experience was ruined with poor service.

Yelp
A good restaurant in Alba! Great food, great wine and a extraordinary cheese plate with local cheeses and a great marmelade made of grape. We paid 100€ for two main courses, a bottle of Barbera, a cheese plate and one dessert . Money well spent.
