Osteria Le Panzanelle

Amazing little place south of Panzanno. We made reservations to hit it on our way back from Pienza and it did not disappoint. Its just a little building in a small town and beautiful inside. The service is great, just remember they are on Italy time so they expect you to be there for 2 hours so sit down order some wine and soak it in. The food was amazing, they had recently changed the menu so we took a chance on some things and every one was wonderful. We had an eggplant and fontina rolls for primitivo and then beef tagliatlle and a cheese and parm pasta that was heavenly. Best thing was that 4 glasses of house wine, primitivo, 2 mains and a desert and coffee was less that $60euro. Amazing quality, setting, taste and experience. Notes: - Make reservations it is a small place - The menu changes regularly so if you see a pic online of a menu expect it to be a little different - House Red is great - I saw them do a Bisteca Steak at another table and it looked amazing.

An absolute highlight of our stay in Tuscany! We originally came to Osteria Le Panzanelle for lunch – but the food was so outstanding that we returned again for dinner the same day. The cuisine is traditional Tuscan, yet prepared with a level of care and quality that’s truly exceptional. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. What impressed us most was the honest, down-to-earth cooking – no unnecessary frills, just genuinely delicious food that rivals what you’d expect from fine dining establishments. The service was consistently friendly, warm, and attentive without ever being intrusive. Special requests were handled with ease. The atmosphere of the osteria is cozy and welcoming – we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. And the prices? For the quality of food and experience provided, they are almost unbelievably reasonable. Excellent food, great service, a lovely setting – all at a price that makes it even more enjoyable. You can truly feel the passion and dedication that goes into every part of the experience – from the kitchen to the front of house. For us, it was a perfect dining experience from start to finish. If you're in the area, this place is an absolute must-visit!

Incredible value and an amazing atmosphere. Very welcoming service. Gelato do Vin Santo was a stand out dish. Would absolutely recommend. And of course an incredibly through wine list by commune.

Great dinner in the sunset of Tuscany right in the heart of Chianti. The food was well prepared and cooked. It came quickly and tasted top notch. Well deserving of the Michelin status. Highly recommended to all when visiting the area.

Do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant! We recommend the sausage and mushroom pasta and the ravioli. Everything was delicious! Booking recommended it was busy on a weekday lunch!

This osteria is set in a nice location in the Tuscan countryside and has earned Michelin recognition in the past, which made us excited to visit. The food was generally very good—especially the pasta beef stew and grilled vegetables—but the service unfortunately didn’t match the same standard. We had an issue with our order: both my wife and I requested the Bistecca steak, but were served something entirely different the beef stew. We asked for the steak to be medium, he said that they can only do it red in the middle. We agreed to that however our waiter decided to get us totally different beef dish. When we pointed it out, the waiter initially argued with us instead of trying to resolve the situation. After realizing the mistake, he did apologize—but made no effort to correct it or offer any gesture of goodwill. The dishes were all good even though one of them we didn’t want, although the tomato with onion side was disappointing and lacked flavor. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, the service experience left us underwhelmed—especially from a restaurant with such a strong reputation.

The only minor drawback was the location of our table next to the door, which was a bit chilly. If you’re visiting in colder months, I’d recommend requesting a table further inside for a more comfortable experience. Overall, the incredible food and welcoming ambiance far outweigh this small issue. I highly recommend Osteria Le Panzanelle for anyone looking for a top-tier Tuscan dining experience!
