This review is really for Chico! I’m telling you out of all restaurants I’ve ever been to Chico has to be the BEST waiter I’ve had. From the explanation of the menu, giving recs, to describing what veal tasted like (I’ve never had veal), to then helping me with a special occasion that I had planned (the whole Osteria crew helped with this so shoutout to them), Chico really did not miss a step. He’d get a gold medal if this was an Olympic event!! It wasn’t just my table either I saw him giving the same attention to detail to all other tables he was serving. Bless you Chico! The food was decent as well. My favorite was definitely the cheese wheel pasta specifically with the blackened shrimp added. I wasn’t too crazy for any of the sides but just my opinion. The lasagna could use more meat as well

We recently went here for a date night. The service was amazing and our waiter was great. However the food was subpar. We were excited because the reviews were raving about the food. We both ordered the lasagna and unfortunately it was burnt. We wish would would’ve had the amazing food everyone else had. We had driven pretty far to go to this place. So if you’re driving from far I would say to save it and go to an Italian place you know is great and near you.

Went for my mother’s 63rd birthday. She was craving good Italian food and this place certainly didn’t miss! You can tell their dishes were made with love and authenticity. Definitely would go back to try more items on their menu.

Celebrated my 14th Wedding Anniversary here and everything was top notch. Made the reservation ahead of time and everything went smoothly. Our server was excellent in her recommendations and the food and wine were delicious. My wife had the Filetto Al Cacio E Pepe and I had the Boneless Short Rib; they were fabulous.

Google
The food was amazing. The service was excellent. The fresh pasta tableside was awesome. Can't wait until the next time. Great Italian cuisine! Please check this place out. It will not disappoint.

Google
Warning: food poisoning! We went out to dinner at Osteria Marzano for the first time last Wednesday. The atmosphere was romantic and the service was great. We enjoyed my husband’s alfredo as well as the appetizer, but we did not enjoy the special I tried. Worst of all, we both became violently ill with food poisoning that night. I was disappointed and wanted to warn both the restaurant and others!

Ana Marroquin

Google
It was the best experience, when you come here you know you will receive the best quality of food and service ever. Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday experience here. Will come again!!

Google
OM has become our favorite date night place. Today was my birthday and Miguel made it exceptional for us. Every specials recommendation he had was spot on!

Yelp
Went to the Amalfi Coast wine dinner last evening. Everything was outstanding! Food was excellent as always, service was great and Alek did an outstanding job explaining the wines and their history. Well Done, Chef!

Yelp
This place is legit. It is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in the area! We have ordered delivery here since the pandemic and also have went to the restaurant for meals. Our experience has been very positive. Everything is delicious on their menu, from the appetizers to the pasta and pizza options. Their dishes are so savory and delicious. I believe they make their pasta fresh. Highly recommend. It is hidden away in a commercial building (same building as the Booz Allen), but there is great parking nearby and the ambiance is perfect for an upscale dining experience once you get inside the restaurant. If you are looking for divey and casual, this is the wrong place, but if you're looking for a great place for date night in the Springfield/Alexandria area, highly recommend! Btw, staff is great here. We have always had good service.

Yelp
Update: My daughter really loves the gnocchi at this place and so I wanted to give the lasagna one final shot. I was really hoping it would work out this time bc it had been so great in the past. Firstly, receiving bread must be a thing in the past. We used to receive it with every order. I'm guessing that's not happening anymore. The presentation of both the gnocchi and the lasagne actually looked great this time. I took an initial bite of the lasagne and was pleasantly surprised. I was planning on writing an updated review praising the restaurant for fixing their missteps. The problem was my fork couldn't go through the lasagne. Couldn't figure out why until I turned it over and realized the entire bottom was burnt and hard as a rock. Guys...what are we doing here? I was rooting for you. Fortunately the gnocchi was fantastic. So it wasn't a total loss.

Yelp
Delicious food and generous portions! Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer all our questions. Every dish we ordered was well-prepared and full of flavor. They've got a large bar area with happy hour deals running all week, so no surprise it was packed. The interior isn't overly fancy, but it's comfortable and gets the job done. I was honestly surprised by how large the portions were but I definitely had enough for leftovers the next day, which is always a bonus. It's great to see more solid dining options popping up in NoVa. It really feels like you don't have to deal with the hassle of driving into DC just to find good food. My only complaint is that the cheesecake didn't have crust on the bottom. Idk when or why restaurants have started to remove the crust but please stop. Cheesecake without the crust isn't good.

Yelp
Thankful for the accommodation on a busy Saturday evening. After leaving the St James, I decided to treat my nephews to one of my favorite restaurants. We sat outside which was perfect for us. Everyone enjoyed their food. Mac who was our waiter tonight was awesome! I always have nothing but great things to say about this place. Definitely make reservations on the weekends. Only downside we had was they don't have MOZZARELLA STICKS!!! My nephews LOVE mozzarella sticks lol but I think the cheese pull from his burger and truffle fries made up for it! Happy Yelping!

Yelp
Upscale Italian restaurant tucked away in a strange location (the ground floor of an office building in a hospital building complex) Although the place is upscale, and the prices reflect that, it does not feel stuffy at all Large bar area with a bunch of tables alongside, and a small dining room as well. Apparently they also have outdoor seating too, but it was both dark and rainy when I went so I wasn't able to see it Menu is very large, and they also have a rotating list of specials as well, but their signature dish is their pasta cooked in a large wheel of cheese. They also have a comprehensive wine list and a few cocktails. I came here for dinner on a Friday night with my GF. Even though we made a reservation beforehand we were still seated in the bar area, but we didn't mind at all. In fact, I think we preferred this My GF and I did not enjoy the cocktails that we each got, but apparently they are constantly changing their cocktail options. All of our food was great, and the portions were very large, but it took a very long time for us to get our food. Apparently, since I got the cheese-wheel pasta, since they only have one cheese-wheel, and since this dish was very popular, we had to wait for it to be available. This being said, and giving them the benefit of the doubt for this, I also had to flag down our waitress (who was very friendly I will admit) in order to get boxes for our food when we were done and to get the check as well. Very tasty complimentary bread & olive oil. We also got a charcuterie board that was huge and delicious!

Yelp
I went here on Valentine's Day and enjoyed their pizza, mussels, and truffle fries. The chef and bar staff were so friendly, and the food was amazing. This Italian gem may be in a somewhat-random spot amidst all the large buildings on Walker Lane, but it's worth finding it for a great meal.

Yelp
Food and desserts were amazing. We celebrated our anniversary and it is the perfect date night. This place is a hidden gem...

Yelp
Dined with friends around the holidays. First let me say, it's BEAUTIFUL inside. Who knew something like this could exist is an office space hidden from the public. Although I don't remember what I ate for dinner, I will say that everyone at our table enjoyed our meal. Service was really nice, as we had questions about some of the dishes. And when we asked for recommendations, the server made some great choices! Oh, bonus points for the location having parking in the free parking garage.

Yelp
It was a very busy Tuesday evening but service was good. I saw that Osso Bucco was on the menu and was really looking forward to having it. Unfortunately, my portion was about half inedible fat. When I called the waiter's attention to this, he mumbled something about another patron having a similar complaint and he would mention it to the chef. This did nothing to fix the problem. The meals that the rest of our party ordered were all fine. The chocalate layer cake was small and a little bit dry but still acceptable. The waiter should have sent the manager over to address my problem. I won't be rushing back to dine here.

Yelp
Service is excellent - attentive and helpful and the first compliment I give when I talk about this place. Food: We were celebrating a birthday with a group of 6 and wanted the cheese wheel experience- we got that and more! The calamari and the table side bread were both delightful! The Boar Ragu was rich and delivered over the thick noodles. Our friend had the Truffle pasta and the chef shaved them right at the table into the dish. Not a skimpy portion either. In fact, everyone had plenty of food to take home. The cocktails were unique and tasty ... collectively we sampled over half of them - I preferred the smoked old fashioned with chocolate ....it works, trust me!

Yelp
Customer service was great and they were quick, ordered take out on their website and got the lasagne. The lasagne was really good, right amount of cheese, perfect amount of meat, and soft. Definitely will try dining in person as the restaurant looked very nice

Yelp
I'm not exactly sure how this was our first visit. Unless we knew where we were going, we wouldn't have found the restaurant. It's in a commercial office space. You would even miss the door in the building if you weren't paying attention. This was the day after Valentine's and they were completely booked. Thankfully we found seats at the bar. We had a few HH drinks, yes even on Saturday (4-6). The bartenders were quick with recommendations. We ended with the cheese wheel experience and a seafood pasta dish in a lobster butter broth. I'm not too proud to say that I got it all up with the bread! This is a great date night spot or a good hang after work. There was even a large birthday group hanging out during our time there. We will return when we are back in Alexandria.

Yelp
After visiting Osteria I doubt I can have Alfredo at O.. G... again. I'll get to that. This is a spot in an inconspicuous location that's literally perfect for a great restaurant. The interior reminds me of a laid back 80's jazz club. Like a spot you want to hang just for the drink. Even busy we could have a conversation without raising our voices over others and clattering dinnerware. The calamari was tinder and fried perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. Now let's get to the cheese wheel, WOW! It was aged perfect to perfection. So much flavor I now know why there's no salt and pepper on table. The wait staff is patient and very attentive. So if you want great Italian food do your taste buds a favor and try Osteria Marzano.

Yelp
I love this place! They have a cheese wheel pasta that's one of the best pastas I've ever had. Getting here is a little interesting, because the restaurant is located in a big office building. The interior is really nice though and doesn't feel like you're in a corporate office building. We loved the cheese wheel pasta and the burrata which had really fresh tomatoes. The service and wine list are also really solid. I can't wait to come back for that cheese wheel pasta!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and wow do they have a great happy hour. Cocktails, beers, and bites all for less than $10 each! I got the lemon drop martini, arancini, and calamari from the happy hour menu and they were all delicious. We also ordered off the dinner menu, we got short rib sliders (YUM) and I got the clam linguine for dinner. The linguine and the white wine sauce were fine but wow the clams were cooked PERFECTLY. I did try my boyfriend's candied bacon mac and cheese and the homemade orecchiette was so good. Definitely will get a homemade pasta next time.

Yelp
Dinner here again. Not my choice. Had to sit at the bar. Supposedly, the tables were reserved. Did not see much traffic. Bad service at the bar. These guys can barely make drinks let alone serve meals. After being ignored for a long time, one of them finally took our order full of attitude and hurry. Food was good. My usual review -- good food, unreliable service and loud.

Yelp
The vibe of this place is insane! Great for a date night or ladies night. I enjoyed the Penne Alla Vodka. I also ordered the Aracini which could've used a little more flavor in my opinion. The Fall into Almafy cocktail was delicious and refreshing. And they can make a good sidecar! The service was great. Several others ordered the cheese wheel experience which was cool to watch. I definitely have to find a way back to this hidden gem
google avatar

Steven T.

Yelp
I heard this place had cheese wheel pasta so I had to come try! Started off strong with some great appetizers that were fresh and flavorful. The entrees on the other hand were a different story. The risotto was great, cheese wheel pasta was just ok (very one dimensional) and the carbonara did not taste like carbonara at all. Desserts were just mediocre as well. The service was great and the chef personally came out to check on us. Overall, the cheese wheel was a cool experience and there were some gems. Apps: Polipo (grilled octopus) and Mussels in Garlic and White Wine Entrees: Seafood Risotto, Carbonara, and the Cheese Wheel Pasta Dessert: Creme Brulee and Apple Tart Drinks: Old Fashioned and Falling Amalfy
google avatar

Yelp
Overall the food tasted amazing. Service was great as always, and it wasn't too crowded today. We had reservations which I always recommend here, but there was plenty of space open at the bar surprisingly for a Saturday. The Pacherri allo scoglio special was great, but the ravioli that I got was disappointingly small portioned. I got a margherita pizza togo bc I knew I'd get snacky later!

Yelp
This place is hands down one of the best Italian spots in the DMV! It's family-owned, and you can totally feel the love they put into everything--from the food to the hospitality. The food is next-level amazing. I highly recommend ordering from their rotating specials. When I went in late November, they had fresh truffles that were chef's kiss. And if you're there Thursday through Saturday, you HAVE to try the cheese wheel pasta. The chef literally brings out this massive 90lb cheese wheel and mixes the pasta right in it. It's super fun to watch and even better to eat. They even put little flowers on my pasta--so cute! Also, the Nutella pizza is HUGE and absolutely delicious. Perfect for sharing (or not--no judgment here). Bonus points for having happy hour every day at the granite bar, plus free EV charging and parking in the garage. Just a heads-up: it's inside an office building, so it's a little tricky to find, but totally worth it once you're there. This spot is perfect for date night, celebrations, or just treating yourself. You'll leave happy and full!

Yelp
The first time I went to this place, I was truly blown away with quality of the food and service. My second trip however, was very disappointing. It was a holiday weekend, so perhaps their main chef was not working. It is now a hit or miss restaurant to me.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant last Saturday to celebrate her birthday. The ambiance was very appealing and the service was amazing as well. My girlfriend said the glass of Chardonnay she had was the best she's had in a while, we both enjoyed the pasta cheese wheel with our protein choice of Salmon. I added broccolini to mine which was beyond my expectations. Even though she ask for dessert, I really appreciate our waiter bringing out a piece of the Limoncello cake to wish my girlfriend a happy birthday. I highly recommend trying it. Wonderful dining experience and we will definitely be back again.

Shaun O.

Yelp
Food was really tasty! Only complaint is that my pasta was very under cooked and still a bit hard. Service was great, very attentive.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this meal for our belated Valentine's celebration. Host team was super accommodating as our initial table was in their back room where a large party was celebrating loudly and they kindly resat us to a quieter space. Our server was kind and knowledgeable. Food came out fast. We ordered the bruschetta and the mozzarella on that was delicious with good portions. We also had the special wild boar ragu parpadelle and the spicy pancetta bucatini -both were incredible and more than enough for leftovers. We also tried the creme brulee and tiramisu for dessert. Both delicious but the tiramisu stole the show. All in all, we will be coming back. This spot is in an office building and parking is in the garage you drive by before Google maps tries to take you to the main entrance. The garage has signs for the restaurant to guide you.

Yelp
The restaurant is lovely but the location is a little tricky. It is located within an apartment complex or some kind of office building. So, the restaurant feels very small. You can definitely chime into your neighbor's conversations, since you are that close. It takes away from the intimacy that the restaurant gives off. As for the food, maybe my opinion is bias or maybe not. I am not an Italian fan but for my birthday I was craving pasta. I thought this place would be a great choice, because it looked like they had a variety of pastas on the menu. Sadly, I was disappointed. I choose their main attraction, which is a Alfredo cooked in a cheese wheel. They use alcohol and a torch to reduce the alcohol but I could still taste on overpowering amount of alcohol. After going back and fourth with the server about it, I was able to swap out meals. Sadly, the second dish I chose was just not it. & my partner was not impressed with the rabbit spaghetti that was recommend to him by the server. The restaurant is appeasing to the eye. I would go down there for a drink at the bar after a long day at work if I lived or worked there but, I don't. & I just don't see myself coming back.

Yelp
Winter Restaurant Week review (last month) Another successful restaurant week visit and this time at Osteria Marzano. The staff were very hardworking and attentive and I especially appreciated the service and care from our waitress Jacqueline G. The menu was specially priced for restaurant week so the deal was $55 for a delicious 3-course meal and additional for wine selection. We of course went with the cocktails instead and the choices were just right! Appetizers: I love mussels and you can count on me to order them anywhere that I go. This place, by far, provided the meatiest mussels I've had in a long time and the cream base was delicious and might I add, very scrumptious with bread. Large meatball: this meatball was seasoned to perfection and cooked right! Entree: I ordered the shrimp risotto and my boyfriend ordered the eggplant parmigiana. My meal: the shrimp risotto was a miss for me, the rice was a little too hard and it lacked flavor My boyfriend's meal: the eggplant parmigiana was delectable and I almost wished that I ordered his dish instead of mines lol Dessert: we both enjoyed my dessert, which was the tiramisu as he disliked his dessert (not pictured) but he ordered a Gelati Misti, which he explained was way too tough and lacked flavored. Overall, this place is very cozy and romantic. While I didn't enjoy my entree, the romantic atmosphere set the stage for couples to share a meal and good conversation. I would definitely visit again to try another dish and of course indulge in those mussels! It was overall, a good time!

Yelp
Restaurants almost never live up to the hyoe in those viral social media videos but THIS ONE DID!!!!! I saw a IG video about Italian restaurants that have a cheese wheel and this restaurant was showcased in the video. Of course I made a reservation and drove all the way out to Springfield to give it a try. The restaurant is on the ground floor of what appears to be an office building, right next to INOVA Hospital. AND, there is plenty of free parking. The restaurant has a large bar in the middle, with plenty of seating all around, and qhat looks like private room(s) in the back. When we arrived for our reservation, we were seated immediately and, luckily, had 2 tables (as opposed to sharing 1 table). Our waiter, Miguel, had great customer service and recommeded some excellent options!! In addition to the bread that is brought to the table, we ordered garlic bread (it's worth it!), the cheese wheel pasta w/ added chicken (tasted great!!) as apps for 2, paccheri allo scoglio (was delicious, had LOTS of seafood, and the lobster butter sauce was amazing), and pappardelle (definitely recommend). All of the food was 10/10, highly recommend! I counted at least 6 other parties that ordered the cheese wheel. I will definitely be back to this restaurant again!!

Yelp
I had dinner here the other night as I had this on my places to try list. I was able to easily find parking in the garage which is directly in front of the building. I was great as soon as I entered and went to my table. Our server was extremely nice. I came in a Thursday and they had a special course menu you could choose but I had come specifically for something else tonight. I ordered a white wine sangria and it was delicious. My friend had the spaghetti and meatballs and I ordered the cheese wheel experience. I had the pasta and added chicken, shrimp and a side of spinach. The lady and gentleman who came to bring the cheese wheel experience were nice and smiled a lot. Our server was amazing the whole night, he was all over the restaurant as he had some tables spread out and was in and out of the private dinning area but he did not disappoint at all and made the night even more enjoyable. The only thing I did notice was either the manager for the night or possible owner I'm not sure who the gentleman was would go back and forth and speak with tables enjoying conversations but would not even smile or knowledge our table which is fine it wasn't needed I just notice that as I'm thinking about the customer service aspect. Our meal was delicious and our server was amazing so it was a good experience.

Yelp
Stephanie was an outstanding server. Made great recommendations and always Che led back several times to ensure a great dining experience! The food here is absolutely delicious and the specials are incredibly crafted. The ambiance is also subtle modern and sleek, yet the lighting is intimate and good for a romantic dinner or outing after work. They have happy hour as well which is very popular. Definitely a go back again spot. Oh and they have free garage parking with electric charging and free air/vacuum as well. Kind of nice if you need it.

Yelp
Osteria Marzano, is definitely worthy of 5 stars but I would have to return to be able to give a more in depth review. We had a 7:00 reservation, which we were seated in the back area usually used for private events. Had I known seating in that area we wouldn't get the best experience of the cheese wheel I would had our table moved because I upon arrival I knew we were going to do the cheese wheel. So I do not recommend seating in that area if doing cheese wheel experience. Overall, will return....food was delicious and they had some of the BEST Moscato I have ever had. Totally forgot to ask the brand.

Yelp
Went for Mothers Day; took mom and dad for brunch. Made reservations by phone with the host, who was friendly; he made note, but apparently all of my details didn't transfer to their automated system, because when we arrived the day of, the older information wasn't updated. Service was good and attentive, both by the host and our waitress. Not too crowded, and not loud. Mussels were done well; the garlic and butter sauce was so good, we decided to take the remaining sauce. Ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict, Caesars Salad with chicken, and honey-drizzled white pizza (Allo Speck). Presentation was done well. My parents, who aren't accustomed to Western foods, loved the entrees, and even talked about coming back with guests. That's quite an endorsement.

Yelp
Food was AMAZING!!!! We ordered two meal from the specials menu, both had seafood. I cannot even pronounce. Mine had lobster and risotto. His had scallops, shrimp, mussels and rigatoni in lobster butter sauce. We started off with zucchini chips. They were ok.

Yelp
Oh my gosh. Please make a reservation and eat here tomorrow!! Walk in's are welcome but you may end up at the bar or with a very long wait! I recommend making a reservation at least 24 hours in advanced. They are so kind at the host desk. We are not from the area and we did not realize 16 miles would take 1.5 hours!! We we so late for our reservation and they held our table witch was very nice! Our server was super busy and did not great us for 10-15 minutes after we sat. But she was nice. ORDER THE FRESH TRUFFLE SHAVINGS IF THEY HAVE! They are so fresh and super delicious and light. However, be prepared to spend 50$ on them. But very well worth it! My partner and I split the cheese wheel pasta and had pappardelle noodle with it instead (great move by the way!) and the head chef came out and made it in front of us! I did not like that the table was too low so you couldn't really see down into the bowl for the process. If you sit at the bar and order this , you will be fine. I asked the chef for crushed black pepper or crushed red pepper and he refused to hive it to me and added extra fresh truffle on-top of my pasta and sat down next to me and said that I don't need it. At first I was hesitant but he was absolutely right!!! Best pasta ever, not overwhelming and not underwhelming, seriously just right! Dont order the crab cake, definitely not worth the $40. All in all great place, cute set up! The service just could have been better and more attentive.

Yelp
We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. The server greeted us a few minutes later. We ordered drinks and dinner. We waited for almost an hour for an appetizer. The food was good, but we were at the restaurant for almost 2 hours just for an appetizer and dinner. We were seated by the window, so it was a little drafty. It wasn't too loud even though we were seated right by the bar. Parking is free in the garage across the street.

Yelp
We made a reservation for this spot on Open Table for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was pretty packed when we arrived at 6 pm. We were seated immediately. The main entrance for the restaurant is located in an office building. We struggled to find it at first but once you walk into the lobby, you'll see the main door to the left. We ordered: -Arancini: fried saffron risotto balls filled with ham and fontina cheese, served with marinara sauce - The Cheese Wheel Experience: handmade fettuccine sautéed in a cream sauce and cracked pepper and prepared in a parmigiano wheel -spaghetti Neri: squid ink pasta with lobster and fradiavola sauce -tagliolini Al funghi: pasta sautéed with mushrooms in a parmigiano cream sauce. Our server Miguel was extremely nice and had great recommendations. The food was 10/10. I loved all of the options. The bread came out at the beginning with pesto on the side. The arancini was good too. I would have liked it to be a little cheesier but still delish. The cheese wheel experience, omg was absolutely amazing. They served our portion on two small plates and we both cleared our plates. No noodle left behind! My next fave was the tagliolini al funghi. The mushrooms were tasty and added a nice flavor to the cream sauce. Spaghetti neri was good. The sauce had a little kick. Definitely would love to come back again and try more dishes. The pasta dishes were all prepared very well.

Yelp
If you're looking for a special meal with amazing service, this is the place! I've enjoyed many dinners and lunches here and have always had a positive experience. Their steaks are delicious and cooked to perfection, but their lighter fare is also very satisfying. Highly recommend checking out the wine selections

Yelp
The food and service here is excellent! We came in for a company dinner. Everything we had was amazing including the desserts. The pricing is decent and won't break your pockets. It's a little small but you will have a great experience. This restaurant is located in a building but you can ask the guard at front and they will direct you. There is a parking garage with lots of free parking.
google avatar

Nyla S.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant- located in an office building with free parking garage behind the building. Known for pasta I believe. I had a glass of Pinot noir which was delicious I had to get a second! The short rib sliders were tasty. The "warm" bread was cold and not the best, it does come with a side of walnut oil or butter just fyi. I played it safe and got the lasagna while my guest got the Maltagliati. Our entrees came out HOT which we appreciated. Our server seemed very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients in the food. Overall satisfied! Oh and it didn't break the pockets either. Our dinner was barely over $100.

Yelp
Located in the middle of a business district nestled is an Italian dining experience with generous portions and rich flavors. The standout dishes include the cheese wheel pasta with shrimp and the mushroom tagliatelle, both bursting with delicious, creamy goodness. The appetizer of calamari is perfectly cooked and sets the stage for the hearty main courses. While the portions are satisfying, be prepared for a heavy meal that leaves you fully content. For those craving authentic Italian cuisine this is a place to check out!

Yelp
Enjoyable Italian experience not far from the city. They have a pasta cheese wheel that is a cool experience and the portion sizes are really good. I liked the food but a combination of blah service, loud environment, and being located in a random office building probably means I won't find myself here again. That being said, it's pretty popular and can cater to large groups so might be fun for a birthday or office happy hour Bruschetta was very large and good. Meatballs were ok Ribeye and risotto special was delicious. Pasta was a bit bland

Yelp
My brother and his wife picked this spot to celebrate his birthday. Safe to say that the group was not disappointed. Our server, let's call her 'V', was excellent. She made sure that our drink orders, appetizers, and main entrees were accurate and appropriately timed. The calamari was very good. Not overly breaded, not overcooked, and certainly not chewy. My wife opted for the Deborah pizza without olives and she loved it. Three of us ordered the cheese wheel experience and it was quite the show. Overall the meal was excellent and the location inside the office building provided adequate parking in what amounts to a cozy setting.

Yelp
We drove an hour from Baltimore to the restaurant in Alexandria VA for our date night. We like to consider ourselves budding Italian (stateside) cuisine critics. We have seen this restaurant boasted about so much on the socials. So, this was a must try. The ambience inside was ideal for a date night. The restaurant was quiet and clean. I was surprised at the location. And by surprised I just don't know what I expected. It's located in a business development area. It's always interesting to me when restaurants are located in types of buildings/areas. I think I just enjoy the vibes of a more city feel when going out to dine. Like just being around other bustling establishments is my preference. We started with a dirty chai cocktail and allo specs pizza to share. Which is mozzarella, gorgonzola, speck, roasted bell peppers, caramelized onions, honey, and basil. The pizza was delicious. So good I forgot to get a picture. So, I didn't get a capture and image until the last slice. I ordered the the cheese wheel experience (available Thursday - Saturday). It's prepared tableside in a 90 lb parmigiano wheel. It's hand made fettucine sautéed in their special cream sauce and cracked black pepper. I don't think the experience of the table side cheese wheel altered the flavors of the cheese any. It was good. Though, I likely could've just ordered fettuccine Alfredo from the menu and been equally as satisfied. But hey it was an experience! My partner decided on ravioli di short rib. Which is handmade pasta filled with braised short rib, parmigiano, and mushrooms. Served in a porcini mushroom sauce. It was a well plated dish. However, the flavors weren't robust. There was nothing special about it. Typically she would take home her leftovers she elected to leave those behind.

Yelp
Service here was very good, the waiter mase sure to take care of us and check on us often. Food was also very good. The meatballs were delicious. I had the Veal parm it was so tender. I asked for lite cheese which not to sure chefs understand but i scraped it off when it became to much. The past was delicious as well. My gf had the Mezzelune raviolis and she cleared her plate. She was dancing in her seat. Great meal and spot we became aware via tik tok and the cheese wheel. Great little spot on the outskirts of DC.

Yelp
The family came here to celebrate a birthday. We were wanting to have Italian and heard great things about Osteria. Located in Alexandria VA. In an office complex. Plenty of parking the restaurant itself is not that large. They have a great happy hour menu and bar. The service is amazing from when we arrived for reservation until we left. Friendly staff, service was impeccable. We tried a variety of foos and nothing disappointed. For cocktails i ordered a mule. The bartender asked wkat vodka i wiuld like. Well i have never been asked that before at any establishment. Absolutely loved it. My cocktail was absolutely delicious. We started with the Arancin balls (fries saffron risito balls filled with ham and fontana cheese with marinara sauce), whipped ricotta (drizzed with white truffle honey, comes with country toast), Calamari (delicious), squash soup and minestrone. We also had a Salumi dish. Main course consisted of Linguine Pescator (a veriaty of seafood with linguine in a spicy tomato sauce) nive portion sizes. We also had the another pasta dish that had mussels, shrimp, Calimari, and scallops. We alsoo had the fettuccine bolognese. Food was amazing. Overall a 5 star for us. The ambiance is very nice a step up from casual. The ambiance is very nice a step up from casual.

Yelp
This is an excellent restaurant in an unexpected office park location. Recommend making reservations at peak times or on weekends. Great service and wide range of Italian options including a large wine list. I loved the cheese wheel experience (note it's only offered certain days so check before going if that's what you're looking for!). It was truly delicious and fun to watch them melt the cheese out of the wheel with a torch. Excellent mocktail options as well. Easy parking in a free garage. I look forward to returning!

Yelp
I had the homemade spinach pasta with crab and broccolini in a spicy tomato sauce. One friend had the spaghetti a chittara and the other the catch of the day, and we al enjoyed our meals. It was pretty full on a Sunday night with one very large party. Large bar area. Good bread. Our servers Mac (with a C) and Noah were super friendly.

Yelp
Good Food - but NOT if you have food allergies... If you don't have food allergies, you'll likely enjoy a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere. However, if you have any serious dietary restrictions - especially Celiac Disease - do not trust this place to get it right. Yes, they offer a gluten-free pasta, but after multiple failed attempts, I've learned the hard way that their promises mean nothing. Each time I order, whether in person or online, I go out of my way to emphasize the severity of gluten contamination. I call and speak directly with the host, explaining the real risk of a hospital visit. My receipts even clearly state "Gluten Free." I could not be more explicit. And yet, time and again, my meal arrives with gluten, leaving me with no choice but to eat a bowl of Chex cereal for dinner. At this point, their negligence isn't just inconsistency--it's consistency in getting it wrong. There is a distinct lack of knowledge and/or communications between the different staffs. I'm done. If you don't have food allergies, you'll have a great meal. If you do... well, you get the point....

Yelp
Food was delicious and the service was amazing, Miguel took care of us and we followed all of his recommendations. Go to Osteria and ask for Miguel!
