A Fantastic Food Experience at Osters, Gosforth Osters in Gosforth is an absolute gem for not only seafood lovers. Service was attentive and knowledgeable, with staff happy to offer recommendations and insights into the menu. Osters was beautiful inside. and we where served by Christina, who had excellent customer service. and made sure we where waited on when needed. service was excellent and the food was 10/10 all fresh quality ingredients. We had the beef and belly pork Sunday dinners which i would highly recommend, salmon starter the freshness was out of this world and finished with a lovely dessert which was a perfect portion and palet cleanser 😋👌💯

Best Sunday Lunch in Newcastle! Osters has improved in recent months and serves excellent food with outstanding service & attention to detail. Roast lamb dinner was flawless, exceptional welcome and professionalism from Christina who went above and beyond what I would reasonably expect. The wine waiter paid great attention to the simplest of things like my tomato juice, how much ice, Tabasco or Worcestershire sauce, slice of lemon or not. Personally, I am a stickler for detail and appreciative the whole package of excellent food, crisply starched napkins, immaculate table setting and outstanding customer service. Kudos to all the kitchen and front of restaurant staff.

I visited Osters in Gosforth this March and had a wonderful experience. To start, I had the oysters, which were impeccably fresh—briny, cold, and served simply to let their quality shine. A perfect opening to the meal. I followed with the Marcel salad, which was crisp and well-balanced, with a lovely dressing that elevated the greens without overwhelming them. The sardines were the standout for me: grilled to perfection, with beautifully crisped skin and tender, flavorful flesh. They were served with a thoughtful garnish that brought out the richness of the fish. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, happy to share insights about the menu and recommend wine pairings. I appreciated the calm, attentive service that let the food take center stage. Osters is clearly a place where both ingredients and preparation are treated with care. I’m already looking forward to returning and trying more from their seasonal menu. Highly recommended for seafood lovers and anyone looking for a great dining spot in Newcastle.

Our evening was made even more special by Christina, whose hospitality was nothing short of superb. Her friendly Italian character shone through, making us feel genuinely welcome and truly enhancing our dining experience. The culinary journey began with the oysters and seafood starters, which were simply divine—fresh and exquisitely prepared. This delightful start was perfectly complemented by a superb main course that was both flavorful and beautifully presented. To cap off the meal, the dessert was a delightful ending, and the complimentary sweet biscuit served alongside was a wonderful touch, leaving us with a sweet and memorable impression. Overall, it was a highly satisfying dinner experience from start to finish. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking a truly enjoyable meal.

Well and truly beautiful experience at this restaurant. The food was incredible. Osters and Lovage are officially our top 2 favourite restaurants in Newcastle. Highly recommend their oysters, scallops and duck breast. Cooked to perfection!

Such a lovely restaurant with genuine passion behind each dish and their service. We were served by the wonderful manager, Cristina, who went above and beyond to be hospitable, even offering to charge my phone after noticing it was low battery when taking a picture of my boyfriend and I. Superb quality seafood with generous portions, often a rarity in such high quality restaurants. We enjoyed the set menu and Oyster Hour thoroughly. We will definitely be back!!!

Had an amazing Sunday dinner! Oysters to start, followed by the striploin beef for main, plus a side of cauliflower cheese. The food was absolutely gorgeous. Service was brilliant and Christine was welcoming and attentive to our every need. We will definitely be back
