From the atmosphere to the food and, of course, my server Samantha, everything was amazing. Highly recommend. The Mama Bear cocktail is to die for. And the scallops were delicious. A great place to dine. Super intimate, and super adorable with the oceanic theme.

The highlight of the evening was the cute lobster stick on the cocktail 🤷🏽‍♀️ Oysters, tuna tartare, and octopus were all good but not amazing. Server didn’t seem too knowledgeable. Overall somewhat of a forgettable experience.

Everything was great! I had the Lobster Roll and my husband had the Mushroom dish. The mixed drinks are also a highlight to go with the menu. The mixologist is willing to make any drink you're craving, so throw some ideas his way to spark the creativity and you will be quickly impressed. Photo shown is a Mezcal spicy drink prepared on the spot, not listed on the menu.

Cozy, fine dining restaurant that feature variety of seafood and cocktails. Enjoyed the cosmo martini that was prepared just right. The cold 1/2 lobster was delicious along with the wonderful scallops and crispy broccoli. The buttermilk cake was truly a special treat! Portion sizes were perfect. Will definitely be back…

Absolutely adored this place. Sat at the bar for happy hour and had a hell of a time. The bartender was on his game. Knew when to give space, and great with eye contact following a modest warm presence. Didn't catch his name, but great hair. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Had the oysters and corn chowder... both A+. Can't wait to return.

Had a wonderful dinner experience here! Delicious food with many options to choose from and a rotating seasonal menu. Our waitress Samantha was so attentive and lovely, she answered all of our questions and was happy to accommodate anything we needed. I really appreciated the way the staff spoke with each other, there is a lot of care happening at this restaurant and it shows! We can’t wait to come back.

Located in the Murphy telegraph building above the legendary London Chophouse. Ostrea is simply sublime. The freshest most delicious oysters. Don’t pass on the octopus In saffron aïoli or the Lions mane mushrooms. Every bite of everything was as delicious as the next. Chef RJ is a Picasso and the bartender is a master. The eastern old-fashioned - E.O.F. - was a deep amber sunset trapped in a glass, an invitation to savor the evening a little longer and order more of chef RJ’s delicacies.

Popped into this place on a Thursday. Atmosphere is upscale yet unpretentious. Good music. Good vibe. Server was attentive ands knowledgeable. I ordered the chilled grilled octopus and Cioppino. Each bit of seafood was perfectly cooked - which takes much precision and care. Local owners. So glad to have a proper seafood restaurant in Detroit.

Exquisite seafood restaurant that has amazing seafood - I got all of their fish dishes like the ahi tuna, salmon and sea bass, because I was hungry and they have smaller portions, and all of them were incredible. They also have a very nice seafood chowder soup. As for dessert, their mango cheesecake (served in a small cylinder) is excellent. As is their cannoli served in the form of wafers. I also got a coffee with honey and cream. Exceptional service from a server named Nadine. Extremely cool interior decor and style with an underwater explorer theme. Also from the same owners as London Chop House next door. Definitely worth checking out if you are in Downtown Detroit!

Mixed experience: Positive: oysters and shrimp cocktail were on point. Great taste and fresh. Good cocktails. Neutral: Burrata and salmon tartar were ok. Wanted the salmon to have more flavor. Appreciate a good ceviche. Negative: Crab tempura was bread. Tempura was not light and crispy. Texture of the apples against crab did not work for me. Finally, Price to portion size. Spent 70 plus dollars, around 90 after tip. I was still hungry and ate elsewhere afterwards. Other higherend seafood places in Metro Detroit offer larger portion sizes.

Pretty expensive for the sizes... it was good just not quite worth the price imo. 5/5 atmosphere, 4/5 food, 3/5 price. Overall would give 3.5

The ambience was nice, our server was wonderful, the food was ok. The main challenge I had was the serving sizes. If you are looking for a hearty midwestern plate of food. Don't come here. Small a la carte style plates that have you constantly ordering more food, the menu was hard to understand, the wine selection was not very good, craft beers only. Less than 1 hour later, I was in the bathroom with a violent bout of diarrhea. Don't order a dirty martini. The bartender has no clue how to make them. Forgot the olive juice, no blue cheese olives, and the olives I did receive were old.

Very good dinner, amazing service, beautiful restaurant. Had the Oysters, octopus, and scallops, all were amazing.

As has already been written, the portion sizes were very small. I will say that the prices reflected the portions $30 ish versus $50 ish. The menu is limited with the only real appetizer being oysters. It was also very loud. We did enjoy our waitress and there was a nice selection of wine.
