Otford Farm

My sisters and I went on the Bald Hill adventure ride last year (on Snippy, Jackson and Billie Jean). As more experienced riders we were provided with opportunities to trot and canter, and even the chance to pop over a small log on the trail! The lookout that we rode to was also beautiful! The staff and trail guides were all very friendly, supportive and knowledgeable. This ride is amazing for confident riders, but I would not recommend this ride for beginners as the trails can be very steep (and slippery if it has rained recently), and 3-4 hours in the saddle would be very tiring, but they offer many other durations and rides for varying levels which is good! The only downside for us were that some horses didn't seem to be in a great condition (there were a few that were not very filled out) and the horse my sister rode had just come back from a 2hr ride and then went on a 4hr ride with us straight after, so must have been a bit tired.

5 stars – A Beautiful, Safe and Memorable Ride We had a fantastic experience at Otford Farm and will definitely be booking again! The booking process was smooth and easy. Carly was so friendly and helpful on the phone—she gave us all the information we needed so we knew exactly what to do and what to expect on the day. I went riding with my 8-year-old daughter for her very first trail ride, and the team went above and beyond to make sure she felt safe and comfortable. Their care and attention really put us both at ease. The horses were all calm, gentle, and clearly well looked after, and the property itself is absolutely beautiful—set in a stunning bushland location that feels a world away. We chose the 1-hour rainforest trail ride, and it was incredible. The scenery was breathtaking and the time flew by. Our guide, Kiara, was so lovely—experienced, encouraging, and made the ride even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommend Otford Farm for riders of all levels, especially families with kids trying it for the first time.

This was an awesome experience but not what I expected. The scenery is stunning and the horses are beautiful. Riding for the hour track we went up and down alot of ground so you have to concentrate quite a lot if you are a first time riding, but it was an amazing experience and well worth it. Our guide was ok but Janie was awesome! Thank you for looking after us!

Absolutely worth it!!!!! My daughter is a big fan of horse riding and she has been riding since she was very young, this was the best experience she has ever had! As she had enough time to feel comfortable and connected to her horse before she starts the trail. The staff are absolutely amazing, super friendly and kind. She also took photos and air dropped to all the team for FREE!

We had an amazing time at Otford Farm. Emma and Carley was very accommodating and understanding. We booked for the 1 hour trail ride but due to unfavorable weather forecast, Emma and Carley accommodated us to ride the following day with better weather forecast. It was the first time horse riding with our 6 year old daughter on individual horses. The horses were gentle and extremely well trained to carry worrying parents like us and really put our minds at ease. 1 hour just flew by and we will definitely come back next time we're in Sydney

Took May kids here 7, 3 and 1 year olds. Originally for May eldest daughter booked a pony ride. She was matched to a smaller horse and absolutely loved it. It was her first time and got to walk her around the property her holding the reigns and me a rope to the horse. The staff were relaxed and easy going but very safety conscious. My younger daughter was able to have a quick ride aswell which was awesome for her. I’d definitely recommend.

I had the absolute best time at Orford Farm Horse Riding! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and made sure we felt comfortable and safe. The horses were well-trained, gentle, and clearly well cared for. The ride itself was breathtaking — beautiful trails, stunning views, and such a peaceful, unforgettable atmosphere. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced rider, I highly recommend this place.
