Juicy fried chicken burgers with garlic butter mayo & parmesan
"Pop Brixton is the original location for these chicken burger specialists. This is an easy option if you’re looking for something casual, filling, and good when travelling in numbers. Dirty fries with bacon and ranch are also great, but we recommend getting them to share if you want to avoid needing nap-time in the stalls." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
"Fried chicken is an easy option if you’re looking for something casual, filling, and good when travelling in numbers. Other Side Fried is a cut above your average hot wings in a chicken shop, though. The buffalo and signature honey butter burgers are both ridiculously good and dirty fries with bacon and ranch are also great, but we recommend getting them to share if you want to avoid needing nap time in the stalls." - jake missing
"This Brixton spot is set into an archway, but with bright orange, neon signage, there’s no way you’ll miss it. The menu is simple: chicken burgers, wings, or strips, plus sides and sauces. Everything is great but the stacked burgers are the reason you should come here. The juicy chicken, with craggy, crunchy edges, is the perfect shade of golden brown, and spills out of a soft, sturdy bun. Our favourite comes slathered in garlic butter mayo and showered with parmesan." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna
"With bright orange, neon signage, there’s no way you’ll miss this fried chicken spot in Brixton. Everything on the menu is great but the burgers are the reason you should come to the casual, pit stop spot. They’re the kind you can’t fit your whole mouth around and instead require nibbling away at, until you can take a perfect bite with a bit of everything. The juicy chicken, with craggy, crunchy edges, is the perfect shade of golden brown, and spills out of a soft, sturdy bun. Our favourite comes slathered in garlic butter mayo and showered with parmesan." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"You know what makes a break-up chat better? Fried chicken. Even better, this fried chicken comes sandwiched between soft sturdy buns, is slathered in garlic butter and parmesan, and is juicy—like the debrief you’ll have with your friends later. The chicken shop-like menu at Other Side Fried is short and to the point, which should serve as inspiration for this chat. The hard stool seating works well for encouraging your soon-to-be-ex not to linger. And the loud club music will drown out any sassy comebacks they might have. Bonus points for being close enough to Brixton station to make a very quick exit if needs be. " - Jake Oliver, Sinead Cranna, Rianne Shlebak
