*Edit* I have been going several times more and noticed that the front desk staff have been extra kind. I had a swimming shorts that was wet after the ice bath and sauna session and before I said anything, she wanted to bring me a bag to put the shorts so I don't have carry the wet swimming suits around on the way home. Very attentive and kind! I'm updating my review back to 5 stars. I believe the team took notice of my review and made changes. I'm keeping below review that I left lower star rating for reference but please note that I think Othership has really improved and took action based on my feedback.

Previous review:
I'm a regular user of this Othership location. It's been a 5 star experience up until today, but today I got really upset with the customer service at the front desk.
I showed up to morning 75-min free flow session tired, exhausted and sore after doing my Toronto Marathon yesterday thinking all these lactic acid will be flushed out after great session here. I've loved my previous experience at Othership so far (great staff, great ambience, great facility, great guide) so I had high hopes. However, I was told I accidentally booked Yorkville location. This was devastating because I really needed this session. At that point when I visited and seeing that I'm not on the list, I knew I made a mistake and it was my oversight.
What I'm upset with is not that I made a mistake nor front desk person telling me I made a mistake nor not doing something about it. I wouldn't even expect them to do something about it because that was my oversight. However, the way front desk person talked to me and treated me was very upsetting to me. It felt like she didn't want to help me and treated me like "it's your mistake so you deal with it" type of attitude. I understand that it's not their responsibility to help me, but that's what customer service is about. You service the customer so they feel well taken care of. Even if customers make a mistake, you can still make them feel valued and that they really want to do something about it but they can't. I'm in hospitality, so I understand that. Isn't that how you build a loyal following and a brand?
That was quite unexpected because usually I go late after work and front desk people have been so kind. So when I took the time out of my work at 10 am to go and get that type of treatment, it was very upsetting for me and very unlike how Othership is typically like.
I understand they are good most of the time, but they say it takes years to build reputation and takes seconds to lose one. I think that was my moment with them today. I hope Othership sees my review and bring the consistency up on the customer service part. I don't think it's fair to give 1 star because everything else they have is great and I've had an amazing experience up until now.
Don't get me wrong. I will still go to Othership. It's a amazing facility and amazing people. I love everything they've done. But I just wanted to be honest with my review.

As a meditation guide for over 10 years, I was taken aback by the amazing job Shannon did. Her cadence, voice control and inflection was so comforting and grounding. Her message was so well received for the space within the sauna. I highly recommend the experience. I was my first time but definitely will not be my last. Great job to all the staff and Othership for making it a wonderful experience.

I attended the early Sunday Free Flow session for the first time, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The two guides were incredibly welcoming, making me feel at ease from the start, and they did a fantastic job explaining everything. The combination of the sound bath and the aufguss in the sauna was truly rejuvenating. I left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and eager to return. Highly recommend!

Went with friends not fully knowing what to expect and had an absolute blast at the Guided Up class.
Facilities create a great ambiance and are well kept, the scents used are all amazing and the instructor had an infectious energy.
Definitely felt like a unique experience, and would recommend anyone to give it a try!

My goal was more meditative and to be able to decompress and relax. Which is what exactly what I got at Othership.
It was my first time and the girls at reception was very informative and pleasant.
The facilities are nice it’s different from what a typical wellness facility in that everyone no matter your gender is in a shared space but it didn’t feel awkward or weird that everyone was changing in the same locker space. But there are also changing rooms to have some more privacy. I think it’s great that the atmosphere and the people who participate also have a good mindset that it’s just that “a shared space” by everyone and everyone was respectful.
Now my gf and I did go to a guided down class which is why it’s a more peaceful relaxing environment as I heard there are more active and social ones available…but this was just something I definitely needed and Lawrence our guide helped create such calm soothing environment. His voice is so relaxing and his pace and how he conducted the class was very meditative. I will definitely go back to Othership.

Went for the first time, and I have to say I’m very impressed with the experience. I had some initial issue with the change room area, but after giving feedback to the staff, they were quick to make sure that my experience was right. The free flow itself was great, but I think the crown jewel in this whole operation is the elevated customer service. They were there exactly when you needed them. They kept their interactions kind, soft spoken, and to the point knowing you’re there to enjoy yourself and relax. They were genuine in seeking feedback from me and that truly gave me the confidence that they genuinely care about the people that come through the door.

Pros:
- my guide Shane was very supportive and coached me and my friend through the ice bath experience, it was nice to have staff there in case anything happens
- at 330pm on a Monday there wasn't a huge crowd and sauna could fit everyone
- beautiful aesthetics and smells, tea is a classic complimentary touch
- nice Turkish bath towels
Cons:
- the barefoot policy is mind-boggling, even if the floors don't retain bacteria. It was so slippery walking around - a proper safety hazard. You can ONLY wear water shoes that you have to BUY from the front desk as I learned on the spot. Additionally, you stop wearing shoes while still in the change room - where others just walked in outdoor shoes. Foot fungus is a very real thing, too. At least provide sanitizer for feet or complimentary reusable slippers like any other spa (trove across the street, even sweat and Tonic). Why not let guests wear their own slippers too? Just for aesthetics? This was honestly disturbing.
- the change room is communal, with 5 stalls, it was somewhat uncomfortable
Overall some aspects felt nice and others didn't feel thought through completely. Good for ClassPass once in a while but prefer other Scandinavian experience with better hygiene (try Ritual around Wellington for a private experience!)

I have been going to Othership Adelaide since they opened up two years ago and I haven’t had a bad session yet. The beautiful clean space and the amazing facilitators always make me feel so welcome. At the end of each session, I come out feeling rejuvenated and just content and happy! Highly recommend!
