Normally very busy but we caught it at a quiet time midweek around 10:30. Definitely recommend a reservation for the weekend. Friendly service. Excellent brunch. Loved the omelette (added olives). Generous portions. My mom loved the atmosphere. The menu has something for everyone, breakfast or lunch with great sides as well.

Went here after a looong night out and it healed me. Had the Hercules breakfast and it was incredible. Eggs were cooked well, toast was solid, lamb sausage was incredible. Pork belly was just ok in its own. Hashbrown was soo crispy. And finally the pancakes were the second best I’ve ever had, the citrus butter was absolutely incredible. Vibe was good, exactly what you want from a diner.

Google
We were looking for a diner when we found this amazing place. From the friendly staff, clean atmosphere, steaming cup of coffee, to the delicious lemon zest pancakes with citrusy infused butter. The fluffy fresh produce omelet with garden berries on the side. Everything was perfect, making all of our breakfast dreams come true!

Google
Really good food! We ordered the pancakes, it was soooo delicious with their special butter and the natural maple syrup. So yummy! 💖 then I ordered Bahn Mi, it was tasty! As an Asian person, it passed my standards. It's really good :) the server was also nice. This was a nice stopover for us traveling from MA to Maine. Would love to come back again

My wife and I arrived shortly after the diner opened and were shown a table right away. The menu has something for everyone, and the portions won't leave you hungry. My wife got the classic plate that came with eggs, potato ball, bacon, and english muffin. The eggs we perfectly scrambled, the potato ball was crispy, the bacon was thick and cooked chewy, and the muffin was thick. I got the corned beef hash with hashbrowns, eggs, and rye toast. I'm no corned beef hash connisour, but that was the best I've ever had. We also tried the lemon creme strudel frensh toast. The toast was thick and soft. The lemon creme was not overpowering, and the strudel topping put the dish over the top. Overall, the meal was fantastic, the staff was very friendly and I'm sure we'll be going back.

Google
My first time here, and I got the omelette special which was asparagus, shallots, feta and zatar, as well as a single pancake with the most delightful citrus butter! 2 days later and I can't stop thinking about the omelette without my mouth watering like crazy. I will definitely be back to try the falafel, which was highly recommended by my server.

We got in on Sunday without a wait. Service was fast and friendly. Pancakes are delicious. Love the lemon butter. We had biscuits and gravy. Also very good.

Google
Hands down best breakfast in Portland, ME. The Baklava cinnamon roll was a daily special, and the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. The pancakes are huge and perfect. Served with citrus butter and fresh fruit which really takes them to the next level. The hash browns are like giant tater tots. Big balls of shredded potatoes fried up with perfect golden brown crust. Every time I’ve been in, the owner has been running the FOH, and the service has been exceptional. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you are definitely missing out. All fresh ingredients which really does make a huge difference. They also have delicious local coffee from Coffee by design and amazing orange juice. It is a clean open kitchen with employees that obviously take pride in what they do. Do yourself a favor and try them out. Support local businesses, and if you’re looking for an amazing Italian sub, I highly recommend their other restaurant, the other side deli. Last but not least, the music and environment are perfect. Just be patient, they can get rather busy at certain times, but it will be worth the wait! Kudos to a great business that takes pride in quality and does things right!! That you OSD!!!

Yelp
Not your ordinary diner! We have lived in Deering for 3 years and this was our first time to Other Side Diner. It was great! The staff were very attentive and friendly. We went in for breakfast and were very happy we did! We started with coffee, tea and Greek donuts. What is a Greek donut? It is a lightly seasoned donut hole that is fried and then tossed in cinnamon seasoned honey and chopped pistachios. Each order comes with 4-5 donut holes. My husband ate a few before I could snag a pic! They were very nice with the coffee. Not too heavy or sweet. We each got the Hercules breakfast. Eggs over medium cooked as requested. Toast - wheat for me, marble rye for hubs, bacon for me and pork belly (crisp) for hubs, hash browns and a pancake. The hash browns were a surprise for us - they are shredded potatoes rolled into a ball and then deep fried. Good - the outside was very crispy, but the inside was mushy. Not greasy at all. I prefer crispy hash browns, so I just ate the outside. Also they needed to be seasoned. We added salt & pepper and enjoyed them. The pancake was also a really nice surprise! They had lemon zest and Greek yogurt in them. Tangy and light served with an orange zest compound butter, fresh fruit and real maple syrup. Unfortunately, because of the Greek yogurt it seemed as though the pancake was not cooked all the way through. However what we ate was very good! The menu offers lots of Greek seasoned options as well as unique breakfast sandwiches and eggs Benedict. The restaurant is clean and the tables are well spaced apart. The decor is simple and the music was nice and not too loud. Give the Other Side a try! I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Yelp
Such a clean and impressive little diner. Plenty of great choices on the menu too. I had the Hercules breakfast which was good. My wife had the breakfast sandwich with feta cream cheese. The sandwich was a mess so ask for extra napkins. My only complaint was that they love citrus here. I wasn't a fan of the lemon butter on my pancakes or the citrus in the feta cream cheese. To each their own.

Yelp
I guess I need to stop living in the past as this place is just not the same as it was, and certainly not nearly as good as Steve and Renee's diner which used to be in this location. Hopefully I will find someplace else to go and not give another review but here goes: no matter what name is on the sign in front this location has always had incredible service, but it just doesn't anymore. The last handful of times I've been here it's been average at best, I would say mostly indifferent and distracted employees, not understaffed. The orange zest pancake, the photo on the right, is still the best pancake I think I've eaten anywhere. Shockingly the picture of food on the left came out of the same kitchen. This hardened crusty hockey puck was actually supposed to be a sausage patty. Gave it the old college try with a couple of bites but could not go further, inedible. It seems the last few times I've been here there's always at least one food item below standard. A breakfast meal, cup of coffee, and tip was just under $30... Just not worth it anymore.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood diner. My first time coming here for breakfast. Friendly, comfortable atmosphere. We showed up at 930 on a Saturday morning and while the place was full, a table opened up very quickly. I had the omelet special that was absolutely delicious. We came here because my grandson wanted pancakes and he gave those 5 stars. Plenty of parking, super nice staff. The only reason I did not go to 5 stars is the menu was kind of small. But I will say that what they do serve is amazing!

Yelp
I want to like this place a lot more than I do. There's nothing inherently wrong with it; the staff is wonderful and the interior is nice but lacks a real "diner" feel. It seems as though it's wavering between being a really basic diner, and a "fancy" diner. The food is good, but not particularly mind blowing. Compared to its bigger brother, the Other Side Deli, it just lacks in wow factor. The corned beef hash with eggs was good, though my 'over easy' eggs were a little closer to done; I gobbled it up, but kind of pricey for otherwise run of the mill greasy-spoon fare. The basic egg dish seems really expensive for what you ultimately get. Prices listed on various internet platforms are all different, and was different still in the restaurant. Might come once in a while because it's a nice place to sit and not crowded (depending on when you arrive), but will not be a normal stop for me.

Yelp
Another great find! Right on Washington Ave in Portland. Have tried this spot a couple times but it is always busy and there can be a wait. Today was a great day to go! They have a specials menu changing daily. I ordered a special pulled pork served on Johnny cakes, drizzled with hot honey and served with eggs. I chose scrambled. Delicious and filling. My friend ordered a Benedict with beef bacon, fried green tomatoes, poached eggs and hollandaise!

Yelp
Came here on a whim and at 10 am was met with a 30 minute wait. It sucked a little because there was nowhere to wait except the car and by the time 30 minutes came and went, my toes were frozen, and after we were seated and ordered, we probably waited another 30 minutes for food. I think it just overall felt like a very long time; however... The food was great. The small menu was perfect and the fact that I saw the menu and knew exactly what I wanted was even better. Our table ordered: Chickpea Fries Benny: this was your standard Benny but over these "fries" made of chickpeas. I think the fries were great and it was all over a bed of squash "hummus" with brussel sprouts. Thinking back, it was overall a good, filling dish, though I did feel like the brussel sprouts were a just a little too burnt. Hercules Breakfast: they don't have your standard meats so the SO ordered pork belly (which I was excited about!) it came with some fruit and a giant pancake. I think for him, the pancake sold him on this place. They are like palace diner pancakes but larger and fluffier. The waitstaff was also fantastic. I think for the sake of the SO's pure joy with the pancakes, we will definitely be back. Breakfast in Portland overall is actually pretty low quality compared to Biddo so if we can find a place we like nearby, all the better!

Yelp
My husband and I had breakfast here today after a race. We each got the basic breakfast--eggs, toast, hash browns, bacon. I had an English muffin instead of toast--it appeared to be house or non-commercial bakery made. The bacon was thick and tasty. I loved the ball of hash browns, too. Our bill came to $36 with tip. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Service was lovely. The blueberry tea was very tasty, but the decaf coffee wasn't. But go for the citrus pancakes. I don't usually like pancakes, but other reviewers raved about them, so I ordered them. They were just fabulous. So good that they didn't need the maple syrup they came with--just melt the citrus butter over them and be in food heaven.

Yelp
The proprietor was super pleasant, the food comforting with some interesting selections. I had the apple muffin and the potato pancake. They also had on offer Greek donuts, with honey, served hot - yum. It was a carb load for a pescatarian, but it was worth it, only side note was they didn't come around to replenish coffee until We we're just about ready to depart, and it was one of the first Autumn Chill days. I'd come back.

Julia Snow M.

Yelp
Found this by accident. Lucky day for me. Delicious feta and cheese omelet. Best I've had in Portland. Hash browns come in a crispy ball that was quite unique and tasty. The English muffins were grilled and absolutely perfect. The staff were so friendly and efficient and the ambience reminiscent of the 50's. My friend had a lamb gyro sandwich. The lamb was not shaved- it looked substantial and he said it was fantastic. He also had a simple green salad which he said was delicious with each bite. Highly re

Yelp
I still like this diner, mostly for the convenient location in this neck of the woods. But food is just not the same. For this price I would venture to the better competition. The scrapple seems to have gone full on polenta grain, not even close to the real thing. And there are no more tables outdoors at all, including sidewalk.

Ronda ..

Yelp
Giving 2 stars because everyone was friendly, service was great. The food was meh. I was so excited to try to the pancakes becuase i love a great pancake. I actually thought they were pretty bad. If you're going to have a citrus pancake, call it that on the menu maybe? There's no indication that they're not just plain traditional pancakes- they come with a citrus butter which i declined because i hate citrus- but alas the pancake is loaded with lemon/citrus zest and the texture is just weird. Also the sausage patty isn't breakfast sausage, it's sausage but tasted more like a keilbasa than breakfast sausage. My husband got the hash with eggs and english muffin. The english muffin is just weird. We can appreciate a good gourmet version of stuff but i don't think Other Side gets there. and goodness, describe it accurately on your menu. Can't get on board with the rave reviews of this place.

Yelp
This place is the perfect balance of old time diner vibes and modern menu items. I just love the Greek flavor flair and unique entree options. Can't recommend this spot enough. You won't be disappointed!!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun modern diner with great service. The wait staff are super friendly. The food is good and fast. The hashbrown balls are a cool new take on a traditional breakfast food. The only downside were the sausage patties, which were a little heavy on the garlic, and were kind of bitter. Otherwise, an utterly charming place.

Curtis I.

Yelp
I was annoyed by the "end of dinner" receipt line that said "Kitchen Service Fee (3.00%)" that was tacked onto the bill. It was dishonest not to mention, first time I'd ever seen this one, and really just chinchy. I won't be going back and I'm a "Portlander". Too back they wrecked that for themselves.

Yelp
I know people who absolutely love this place; that being said, it's just not for me. + There is an abundance of parking! +/- They sometimes have an outdoor patio. - The menu is *very* limited. The staff? FIVE STARS. They are hustling and doing such a good job at juggling all the many, many hats they all wear to keep this place so clean and welcoming. Really, really exceptional. But the food? Compared to other brunch places, the quantity, quality, price point, and even wait time to get a table just isn't worth it. To begin with, our $7 mimosas were only half full (maybe this is normal, but - again - just compared to other places, it seemed pretty underwhelming). The Greek Donuts were fine, but very dry; was there supposed to be something more than powdered sugar on them? Finally, the falafel benedict. Yikes. I received two smaller eggs on two silver dollar-sized falafels (no English muffin with this benedict?). They were very soggy, and didn't have much flavor. One of the eggs was poached, the other one was more soft to hard boiled. And, unfortunately, my ball of hash browns wasn't cooked through; the inside was cold making the whole thing just taste like starchy raw potato. On the flipside, my partner's hashbrown ball was cooked perfectly, and while he loved the fluffiness of his omelet... there wasn't a lot of cheese or spinach in it, it mostly just egg. Overall, I'm glad we checked them out, but there are other brunch places I'd prefer to wait for.

Yelp
Food is outstanding!!! Service prompt, genial and friendly. Food like this you can not eat anywhere else. We will definitely be back and we will be bringing friends.

Yelp
Really excellent breakfast and brunch food + a wonderful and friendly staff! The phyllo breakfast burrito takes everything I LOVE about spanakopita and runs with it; adding eggs and more veggies to create a colossal and delicious breakfast scramble enrobed in a buttery, brown phyllo wrap! The Benedicts are also spectacular! I've tried the Florentine, the Classic and the Felafel, and they are ALL ++++++ *Also, they have a baseball sized hash brown ball which is NOT to be missed! One additional extra cool BONUS about The Other Side Diner is that they have an actual drive-through window!! Way long ago, this space used to be a donut shop and the drive through window remains... SO...yes you most definitely should order some takeout brunch this weekend and pick it up at the drive through window. It will most definitely be worth the trip!!
google avatar

Kyle A.

Yelp
So OSD finally ousted Hella Mediocre Tacos and I cannot song their praise enough!! I'm pretty picky and was nervous at the size of their menu. But I got their chicken club sandwich and it was one of my favorite sandwiches I've had in a very long time! It comes with a lemon garlic mayo that... Holy crap. I want it on everything! My partner got the shrimp salad sandwich and ate the entire thing, which he rarely does. They do cold brew coffee too, of which he sang their praise as well. And what's REALLY cool! There's not a lot of decor but the two pictures on the side wall are of photos of the intersection from circa 1950 and the back wall has old advertisements of the cannery on the other side of the interstate! I just find it really fascinating to have your decor be history of your exact location!! TL;DR: go have lunch here now!
google avatar

Yelp
I came through their drive through a few weekends ago (yes, you read that right - a drive through!) and it was such a great experience! I went on a car brunch date with a close friend, and the food was so so good. You can tell a lot of love and care goes into their food! Also customer service is excellent- if there are any mistakes they make them right immediately! I've never seen the interior yet, so I'm unable to comment on that, but a definite must go!

Yelp
First visit. The Basics: Exterior and Interior: Nice and new. Sleek black and white motif. Hercules is the mascot prominently displayed over the bar seating which extends along two of the walls facing the outside. Enough greenery, traffic, and movement to catch your eye. Bright and sunny. Very clean. Very inviting. New digs with old homestyle welcome feel. Staff: Great waitress. Attentive, efficient, and very pleasant. She made recommendations from personal experience. Went with them and were happy we did. Food: We had breakfast. To me everything starts with the coffee. There's is Italian roast and very nutty. I loved it. -Eggs Benedict with lamb. Two eggs. Delicious. Hollandaise sauce tangy to compliment. The lamb which was very tender. Dish met the "Big Three": Fresh, Well Prepared, Well Presented. Though it may be too rich but my plate was empty. -Spinach Omelet with Cheddar. Great! Eggs fluffy and cheddar and spinach delicious. Tom's grilled muffin topped it off. -Pork Belly Hash Brown. Succulent. It's a side but could serve as a main. We opted for an additional $2 and got it as substitute for Omelet hash brown side. Get it!!! All over a great experience! Glad there's something in East Deering finally. Though it's a less crowded area, be prepared because they get slammed with customers. Sounds like word has gotten around!

Yelp
Lots of singular seating. I can't tell if it's a retro inspired , Greek, diner or restaurant decor? Super nice staff. Menu offerings vary I had my heart set on breakfast until I saw my neighbors lunch. The chicken club sandwich. First of all it's gigantic but it tasted like white bread with processed chicken (I'm not saying the chicken IS processed but the rubbery taste makes it seem so) raw onions and not much else. Fries are uninspired. With so many other great options I'd be hard-pressed to return. Oh and a chicken club w/fries cost near $20 for lunch. Not worth it.

Yelp
I had the best dish they have which is Lobster Poached Eggs. Instead of getting a lobster roll elsewhere, get this one, you won't be disappointed

Yelp
It took about an hour for us to get our food and it was not what we expected. We went because of the stars and reviews but def don't recommend

Yelp
Just moved into the neighborhood so I decided to pop into this spot for breakfast, as my kettle for my coffee is packed and breakfast without coffee is invalid as far as I'm concerned. I am enchanted by the fact that this diner is Classical Greek themed... but with 50s style counters. I don't get it and I love that I don't get it. A little bougie but by Portland standards not too bad. The service was stellar. They were really friendly and attentive which is what I expect when I'm paying for a more expensive breakfast. I got the hash. The hash was delicious. All in all, I ain't mad bout it ‍ exited to try the pancakes next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice, friendly, attentive staff. The space is impressively clean and very birght. Food was very good, not greasy, hot and fresh. Would definately come back as it's tough to find a really great breakfast place!
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
So I've been to this spot once and the most consistent thing was the service, which was excellent. The food, on the other hand, was phenomenal the first time I went, over summer, excellent portions, full of flavor. The one thing I can highlight from the first meal was the split pea falafel Benedict. Over the summer it was full of flavor and had a massive hash brown ball on the side. As a meat eater, I came back again and ordered this because it was so memorable. The second time, however, was a bit disappointing. The portion was small, lacking flavor and it looked like it was a small dish on a too large plate. I even had ordered one to take home to my wife, who originally ordered the dish and she said the exact same thing when she ate hers at home. We both were bummed, maybe it was a different cook? We don't know, but the consistency wasn't there. We hope to go back and try it again to see if it was just an off day...

Yelp
I was bored with my typical breakfast joints and wanted to share a special morning with my partner and decided to try Other Side for the first time. It's our new favorite spot. The menu is thoughtful and well executed. Every plate of food I've received has been so delicious and beautiful. The coffee is great, the sweets are decadent, the servings are appropriate, the staff is so sweet and attentive. I'm so happy to have a new spot to share with those I love.
google avatar

Izzy S.

Yelp
They were understaffed and very transparent about wait times, but the food was so very worth it. The service was friendly and personable. I would go here many more times! The pork belly was to die for. :)
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
I'm not sure what restaurant the other reviewers dined at; under seasoned and flavorless food with mindless service. Forgot this, forgot that. This is not good Greek food; it's more of a weird diner that tries to be Greek but doesn't succeed. Nothing is bad, but tasteless chicken and lamb - really? That's the best you can do? We've been a few times, just to make sure it wasn't a one-off, but overall it's a disappointing experience. Best avoided.
google avatar

Casey W.

Yelp
When looking at this diner, I didn't think much. I saw a diner on the ground floor of a 3 story office/retail space. As soon as the food arrived I was amazed though!! Coffee: rich and delightful, pancakes and french toast fluffy with great maine syrup! The inside is clean and cute. The coffee mugs are also well decorated with greek inspiration! When you get the check they give you a super cute postcard too! Overall good food and a good environment!

Yelp
Yahoo! Loved this place. I'm so glad we came here for breakfast! Decided to check out this new spot after hearing great things. I can report, it is in fact living up to the hype! We were seated immediately, the decor is adorable; diner style meets hanging plant oasis. Staff was friendly. I ordered my go to basic breakfast - eggs over medium. My hubby got the homemade corned beef hash. WOO! Yes yes. The eggs were cooked PERFECTLY over medium (no one ever does this) and the basic breakfast comes with hash browns that are some type of beautiful mix between a latke and a hash brown. I love them. The hash browns sopped up the eggs nicely. Toast was great. My hubby's corned beef hash had hints of clove in it (*very* subtle) and when I pointed it out I could tell the waitress was happy I discovered it! The meat was so tender and perfectly cooked. Woo doggy. Definitely will be back! Check it out for yourself. I hope you enjoy as much as we did.

Yelp
Thanks, Other Side Diner, for a little bit of delicious normalcy and an excellent meal in these challenging days! My friend and I saw your breakfast burrito with Phyllo crust online and we were sold. It was absolutely delicious... rich and salty and flavorful... I love spanakopita and this just raised it up a notch. Amazing. The side salad was a great lighter side option, too, although the hash browns at the next table looked incredible. A word to the more judicious eater, split this order with a friend and get something lighter as well, because it's a LOT. I debated bringing home half, but it was just too delicious to wait, and also too big to finish! I will be back to try something new, hopefully with someone who will order this dish and give me a few bites. Great service, and even the outside seating turned out to be terrific.

Yelp
I love everything about this new diner, the look, the menu and of course the oh so wonderful, tasty, beautiful and so surprisingly good food. When I say surprising, I don't mean I was surprised it was good, there was never any doubt considering the same people that run the Otherside deli are behind this breakfast and lunch spot. The surprise lay in just how much flavor is to be had from such simple, perfectly prepared breakfast foods!!!! The confit stuffed hash brown alone is worth visiting this restaurant for. Such a crunchy savory masterpiece. The same with the pancakes! How can they possibly be so fluffy and yet moist?!!!!! It seems impossible, but there they are! The same was true for everything we ate, twice fried fries, steak and eggs with hollandaise!!! Simple food perfectly prepared, and each with unexpected layers of flavors just waiting to be discovered! Run don't walk to this spot while you can still get in without an hours long wait!

Yelp
Went on a busy Sunday. My mom & I were greeted and quickly seated. Service was great and food was delicious! Reasonable prices, easy parking!

Yelp
Full disclosure: I've only been once, it was a weird off lunch hour and we ended up eating what are probably not considered menu staples, but it was definitely enough to form an opinion. What stood out the most is that you can tell they care about the food they're putting out, even for typical breakfast foods. That probably sounds cliche, but both the Palace Diner and the Porthole are serving similar breakfast offerings and anyone that has been to both will tell you there's a major difference (I still love you, Porthole, just for certain things). The OSD had much more in common with Palace and I guess people would say they are "elevating" basic breakfast foods. That care has always been evident at their delis and other pop-up events when they've had a food stall. Anyhow, brass tacks. My girlfriend had the corned beef hash with the hash brown that has the sausage inside, and me, being the cheap bastard I am, couldn't resist happy hour snacks so I had their half-mezze plate and some Greek fries. The fries came out first and I am a lunatic for potato anything and these were excellent. Crispy outside, pillow-y inside, the Greek seasoning and feta was just right and not overwhelming. Mezze platter was also awesome and the half size they were serving at happy hour was still very much a shareable size. Stuffed grape leaves, hard boiled egg with a still runny yolk inside (I'm sure there's a classier name for this), stuffed grape leaves hummus, pita, pickled onions and some tomatoes and that oh so delicious halloumi. I would have loved even more halloumi, but I know that was probably the most expensive ingredient on the plate by a large margin. The sharing of mezze made me feel better about stealing parts of my gf's brunch lunch, and the corned beef hash was really good. It almost tasted like there was some juniper in there, which separated it from most others in the area. The hash brown sausage ball wasn't teeming with sausage, so don't expect that, but by virtue of them rolling hash browns into this little deep-fried ball, you get the crunchy, crispy outside and the soft inside. Again, potato game on point. The prices were totally fine, especially with the level of food. You're not getting dirt cheap diner prices, but $14 for that hash, or $12-13 for other main dishes didn't seem bad at all. Staff was incredibly nice and well informed on the menu offerings. I can't speak to how busy this place is on a normal weekend. The location has always been a weird one for me and a bit out of the way, but if that means I can can get (almost) Palace Diner level food without waiting for an hour outside, then so be it!

I feel like giving this place a one just to keep the lines down.. but I can't do that... This place is a great diner. It has the traditional diner dishes, no frills simple American diner food you would find in a small town, but with amazing ingredients, super thick bacon and even some old recipes from the NE I have never heard of. I brought my parents here whom are very picky eaters. My mom is a perfectionist and a very good cook, she was duly impressed from beginning to end from the strong coffee to the dessert. I just got back from a 2 week trip in Europe, and all I could think about while eating bread and jam in the morning was, "where is my thick cut bacon?".

Yelp
I was so excited to taste the creative culinary masterpieces that are the Other Side deli offerings in a diner setting. If this is what you are after go to the deli. The thinly veiled "Greek" theme will leave you less than inspired. I had the hash and eggs. The poached egg was over done underneath and under done on top. The chewy, hard, corned beef chunks were served cold alongside a dry english muffin that was void of any side or condiment. Go to the deli, at least that is a win.

Yelp
This local diner is awesome! The coffee was great, nothing like your typical 'bad' diner coffee. I highly recommend the Corned Beef Hash; you can tell that time was spent preparing it, and all of the ingredients are fresh. Service was phenomenal and very friendly. This may be our new local spot.

Yelp
Absolutely perfect brunch spot- sure, the prices are a little high, but to my mind the food is 100% worth going out to brunch for. (I find that is a real rarity.) Delicious all around. Service couldn't have been better. A gem, and very grateful to have it in this neighborhood!

Yelp
I just love breakfast here. The spinach omelet and hash browns just hit the spot! Great coffee too!

Yelp
Finally a great Greek style breakfast and lunch diner in Portland. Greek donuts with honey as a starter did not disappoint. Breakfast of eggs, hash brown and pork belly bacon made me happy. Looking forward to having the Patty Melt for lunch. Good job!

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here after a doctors appointment. I've seen this place be many things in the past years and "the other side diner" is defiantly my favorite out of thema all! But here are some main benefits to this place that may be helpful to those seeking something specific. Pros: -Love the way they set up the seating. Great for parties of 2-4 people or you can put tables together for larger ones. There also is a huge counter for anyone who likes to be more social or comes by themself without taking up a whole table. -Staff is very friendly and greets you when you arrive. ( personally this is usually the deciding factor if I return to a place or not, so points for you! ) - I always try the basic breakfast off the menu first whenever trying a new place. They did not disappoint! My husband especially loved the homemade hash browns. I loved the fresh fruit bowl, didn't even have to pick around any bad fruit! And the Coffee was hot and fresh. - Specials were very creative and unique for breakfast and lunch. The only big con I found was... - The parking lot is quite small! Which made it look really busy from the outside, we almost didn't go in. But we still walked up and checked. Glad we did! It was just a very full parking lot. Can't wait to come back and try lunch!

Yelp
I am not fond of this place and would not go back. Not typical "diner" food at all, very limited menu, expensive prices. They try to be upscale but are not. Floors were filthy. Fruit flies in February? Yes there were. Put a thing of water on the table that was luke warm and no ice. I got a potato soup that was thick and creamy but yuck. My husband got a breakfast with pork belly instead of bacon and he liked that. They sell alcohol and craft beers yet no diet coke?? We paid $38 for the two of us with no alcohol...pricey.

Yelp
Great food and service! Had lunch here with three friends last week. I had the lamb pocket, my friends both had the falafel eggs benedict special, and they both loved it. I also ordered french fries. I won't order the lamb pocket again unless I have someone to share it with. It was a pretty large pocket, completely stuffed with all the fillings, and was delicious. It came with a side of a yogurt cucumber spread which was a lovely complement. The french fries were enough to share between the three of us, and they were hot, crisp and were scrumptious. They had definitely not been sitting in a warming tray going limp and getting greasy, they were cooked fresh for our order. Impressive, since we were there right at noon. We shared a dessert, the little donut holes. As with everything else, they were made to order and were absolutely delicious.

Yelp
What a charming little addition to this plaza. The decor is a little funky everything is black and white. And I don't know what's up with the Ancient Greek theme but I like it. Almost as much as the Greek donuts we got. very similar to fried dough bites with powdered sugar and a little bit of maple syrup...umm yum. My daughter got the French toast with citrus butter that was delicious!! My father ordered a classic Benedict but they brought out the wrong order at one point, a veggie Benedict and then moments after realized and then let him keep both Benedict's so nice. I had Greek omelet with a hash brown ball. I had never heard of such a thing but it was amazing. Staff were kind and sweet. I definitely recommend and will be back.

Yelp
Shouldn't call yourselves a diner if you don't serve good old fashioned American diner food. Maybe call yourselves a Greek or Mediterranean restaurant. I only ate half of my egg salad sandwich ( no flavor ). Also, no traditional salad dressings, so be prepared for some odd house made dressing instead of Ranch. No Pepsi or Coke either. On a positive note, the lemonade was good. Time to go to the other side of Portland, to Becky's so I won't leave hungry.
