The Best Wine Bars in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"When Otherworld opened in Capitol Hill in early 2023, it was already ahead of the game. Thanks to Matt Lucas and Ben Chaykin’s “Juice Club” pop-ups around the city, it had a fanbase ready to sip and savor. The hype hasn’t fizzled since; if anything, it’s bubbled over, making Otherworld a go-to spot for natural wines from indie producers. The minimalist decor helps keeps your attention on the vino, but if hunger strikes, they’ve got snacks. And here’s a fun fact from the bar staff: Most of the wines they offer have zero additives and nothing taken out. Cheers to natural complexity!" - Brianna Gunter

We stopped by for a drink before our dinner at Artusi! It was a very pleasant experience. We ordered the orange wine, jamon, and bread. All of it was delicious and promptly delivered to our table! The vibe is quiet and chill and lots of room to sit on a Monday night! Will definitely be back soon.

Otherworld is cozy without being cluttered. It has natural wine lining the walls as if they were book shelves filled with stories of places beyond its corner in Cap Hill. The prices are the kind that have you ending up buying a bottle, and the music is pouring from the same places the wine is. The best part? Every glass is hangoverless. Mark my words, this will be the trendiest place of Seattle’s summer. Otherworld proved their point.

The wine here is delightful! A very different vibe than most places you’ll try in Capitol Hill. Lots of orange and pink wines. I did a fun Australian wine tasting here tonight. I enjoyed it a lot. They don’t have any snacks so make sure to eat before!

What an incredible little natty wine bar. Super friendly, very knowledgeable staff. Fun vibes and customer base. Large selection of good quality natural wines from around the globe. Highly recommend

An intimate and beautiful space to enjoy some really great wine. We went early and had a really great conversation with everyone behind the bar. No food yet, but so excited for what’s to come! Easily a favorite spot to spend some quality time.

This is a must visit Seattle wine bar! The natural wines they have on rotation are otherworldly! (See what I did there?)… lol all bad jokes aside you have to check this place out. Super cool vibe without any “try hard” energy. Aka everything is custom, chic, and organic without any of the snobby vibe some other places have. Feels authentic and friendly. We came once on the weekend, where they were featuring a DJ who was spinning some chill, funky vinyl. Vibey and busy for sure. We also came on a weeknight and it was more chill, but still very fun. The lighting is low (candlelight), and makes for a cool ambiance. Perfect place for a date or to come chill.

On our visit to Seattle, our niece recommended a drink at this natural wine bar . We thought we’d be disappointed but far from it- the wine, atmosphere and bartender were all great. We tasted a few wines at the bar and then sat at a table and had a few glasses of wine, well explained by our wine tender. It’s a fun neighborhood place to explore wines and make friends.

Yelp
Super cute space. Small bites are perfect and delicious and the wine is decent. It's definitely small but cozy. Bartender is very nice.

Yelp
Very lovely experience here! The bread and butter were perfect and the staff person gave me a great rec for an easy drinking, light and refreshing, orange wine. The ambiance is cute and classy and it was nice to have another spot to casually read or hang out and have a glass or two of wine and some snacks.

Yelp
This place's atmosphere was so dope. We came in during a time when there was a live DJ and it was complimentary to our bottle of orange wine. We got to try a couple of wines before deciding, which was awesome! Would 100% recommend.

Yelp
Other world is a cozy wine bar in Capitol Hill. It is quite dark, with candelights on the tables. There is limited seating. The wine is pretty good. I enjoyed the music that there were playing as well. Great place to grab a drink with a friend or for a date night.

Yelp
this spot is so vibey and definitely the IT spot in Seattle. I came around 8pm on a friday night and it was packed! it's a little bit of a struggle to get a table as they're snatched pretty quickly. but it's so worth it. it's the perfect spot to chill with friends and just vibe out to the environment. they have white, red, pink, and orange wines that are priced at about $15 a cup. they also have nonalcoholic drinks for those who don't drink as well. I got a bottle of coke for $5 and it was huge! that night, they happen to have a special guest dj and he just added to the already vibey wine bar!

Yelp
Caution: I almost swallowed a shard of glass in my wine here...they didn't rectify the issue. Check your drinks here.

Yelp
Cool vibes and a cool button to help you choose a wine but the wine here actually isn't very good. Tastes very cheap and whatever. Good place to just chill and hang out.

Yelp
Came in on a Wednesday night for happy hour and am not sure what was going on, but it was packed! There was a line out the door and no seats available. Their system is to order at the register and they have a corkage fee if you buy a bottle there. They have a few snack options on their menu as well. The overall vibe was cool and relaxed, but I wouldn't come back on such a busy day considering how crowded it was in the small space.

Yelp
otherworld is THAT cool spot. so vibey and such fun atmosphere. definitely would bring the girlfriends out here for a glass of wine! every day, there's a select bottle of red, white, pink, orange that they pour, i believe you can also browse their big selection of natural wines and buy by the bottle. it is more on the pricey side, each 5oz. glass ranging from $12-15. it was nice to try the different selections, and i particularly enjoyed the pink (pink not red) one that they had that day. the place itself pretty small/intimate and there's only about a handful of tables/bar seats. i would recommend coming here earlier, probably around open to snag a seat, it does get quite busy around 6:30-7. on normal days, there's only a few small snacks, nuts, olives, but they often host pop ups (pizza, other fun foods). on this night, good shape pizza was there and their pizzas had such fun/unique flavors and their crust was nice and chewy.

Yelp
This is a spot that I almost wanted to keep as a secret to myself.. but the power of words and truth spread very very quickly anyway and this is one hell of an amazing wine bar that I want to come back to every single day if i could. Its a lifestyle. I was attending a concert across the street at Chop Suey so i decided to try their tasting menu beforehand.. and my god.. everything from the interior, the seating distribution, wine selections and friendly staff got me completely hypnotized. I ended up coming back after the concert to grab another glass & bottle to take their space is a graphic designers dream come true

Yelp
Came here with two others on a Tuesday night around 8:30 pm after grabbing dinner nearby. Huge selection of natural wines, and Julian was helpful in recommending wines for us to try. We ended up getting a bottle to share, which did incur a $10 corking fee.. haven't seen this elsewhere before when buying a wine from the same establishment. The interior is small and intimate, and some evenings they will play vinyl and have a DJ. Otherworld will definitely stay on my list of Capitol Hill frequents!

Yelp
Best natural wine bar in Seattle. Dunno how to put it more plainly than that. Never thought I'd truly enjoy the wine until I went here and they poured me. The owners know what they're doing.

Yelp
Otherworld is a new wine bar on cap hill that focuses on natural wines. Don't be scared, while natural wine people can be a bit pretentious, the vibe is very accessible and casual here. We went for a bottle and just drank it leisurely on a lovely sunny day. Definitely stop by and try!

Yelp
I had a great experience at this wine bar on its second day (!!!) operating on Wednesday! This bar had a great selection of natural wines that any wine nerd will be excited by! Prices are super reasonable for an upscale wine bar. The most common prices I was seeing were between 25-40 with some more expensive bottles for folks who wanted them. The owners were very kind and thoughtful. Currently there isn't really a food service fully established, but the almonds on sight were great! Excited to see this new spot grow. A much needed place in Seattle.

Yelp
Really friendly staff and great selection of unique wines. Visited from SF for a girl's weekend and it was a perfect place to catch up with friends and try their different wines of the day. We enjoyed our experience so much that we left with two bottles and their personalized wine glasses! Would definitely stop by again during a visit to Seattle.

Yelp
Such a vibe!! Wine was lovely, music was killer but not too loud. Could still have a conversation while bopping with a nice drink

Yelp
In that quaint little Wine Bar on the hill, under the soft glow of overcast skies, our first date unfolded. She chose a bottle of orange wine, its rich hue mirroring the warmth of our conversation. As the sommelier spun vinyl, we shared laughter and flirtatious glances, each sip blending with the melody of the moment. The name of the bottle might remain a mystery, but its taste lingered in our memories, a sweet note in the symphony of that beautiful Friday afternoon. Would you happen to know what bottle we got?
