Otono is my kind of store. It sells vintage and used clothing and accessories, and everything is well curated, with no junky items to be found. Also, the prices are very good! Kind of surprisingly good, considering. This is one of those stores where you will walk away with something, because the price is right and the thing you are buying is unique and special, and it is just what you've been looking for, even though you didn't know you were looking for it until you spotted it.
I am especially sensitive to lighting, so I notice when the lighting in a store is good (but also when it's bad). The lighting here is top notch! It's how I would light a store, if people gave me clearance to light their stores: soft, diffused, at a medium-high source. There are also big windows on either side of the building, so lots of natural light comes through. This is a pleasantly lit establishment.
Otono is also a coffee shop. So you can grab a cup of coffee and browse around, or sit at one of the tables at the back of the store. This place was designed to be a hangout, and you can tell because it's just so cozy and inviting.
