We wanted something before the show at Mirage, and it's conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the theater. We seated right away even though we were 30 minutes early for our reservation. Staffs were attentive. We got our menu, water, and drinks a few minutes after. Our server David answered all of our questions and took our orders. We opted out of ordering entrées and went to few appertizers (gyoza, tempura combo, seaweed salad), robata grill (Sea Bass, scallops and wagyu beef)items and a spider roll. Didn't take long to get our food. Tempura was nice and crispy. The seaweed salad needed a bit of sweet as it was more on the acidic side. Then the roll came. Unfortunately, we weren't impressed by it. It lacks the taste and seems just one note. We loved the sea bass (with mirin glaze) and scallops with some sort of bacon sauce. The wagyu was overcooked. That's why we only gave 4 ☆s.

Amazing restaurant inside Hard Rock (old Mirage). Skewers were all delicious, especially the Seabass. The Rock appetizer was interesting, basically a hot table side hot stone for grilled meats. Sushi was OK, but would skip it next time. Great atmosphere perfect for a date, prompt service, would definitely go back.

Such a fantastic meal and experience! Justin took excellent care of everything! The grilled octopus, the sweet and sour calamari were so phenomenally good! I loved the dragon roll mixed with the bbq sauce of the calamari. The decomposed Yuzu dessert cannot be missed! Come here if you're looking for some really delicious sushi!

Google
The place is very nice. The atmosphere is inviting and confortable. The cocktails well prepared and delicious. The sushi was OK nothing remarkable. The calamari was really good with two different sauces That I really love. The octopus was over the top my favorite dish of the night. The dessert was delicious. If you are looking for a place to tried new flavors with small bites this is a good one.

Google
The cucumber salad and spider roll were both fantastic. The surf and turf roll was only okay. The service and drink refills should be much better for the price of the food ($52.50/person total + tip). Convenient if you are staying at the Mirage (which I am).

Good Japanese restaurants are plentiful. Otoro is good, but not great. Its a beautifully designed restaurant with a high-end atmosphere and prime spot at the Mirage. DRINKS. The cocktail was nice and strong, not watered-down like most. ROBATA (Grill Skewers). We ordered top silrloin, scallops, octopus,Chilean seabass, mushrooms, shishito peppers and pork belly. While everything was tasty, the food was not hot (lukewarm.) I've been to robata grills elsewhere and most skewers were hot off the grill. This was our biggest disappointment. SUSHI. We ordered some nigiri: Uni, otoro (fatty tuna) and akami (lean tuna.) Nothing special. Unfortunately, my order of otoro was missed and i never got to try it. CRUDO. The hamachi (yellowtail) crudo was delicious. Crispy shallots, hibiscus ponzu, togarashi, and jalapeno. Yummy. BEST OF ALL: "The Rock." Marinated thinly sliced sirloin, where you self-cook on a 500° smoothed cooking stone/rock. It was fun and tasty. Finally, some hot food! The restaurant was dark. These are thenbest photos that my phonencould take.

Amazing 10oz Wagyu Strip, cooked to perfection. Spicy Garlic Edamame. Great sushi. Sake. Very satisfied with my experience here. Price didn't affect my thoughts on the place like some other places in Vegas. Good stuff.

Google
First off, best mojito I’ve ever had, hands down! The sushi was really good and I found the tuna to be buttery smooth. Very clearly a quality cut of fish. My main issue with this place is how expensive it is, but it’s in the casino so I guess I should expect that.

Yelp
A birthday trip to Vegas decided to stay one last time at the Mirage. While walking to the elevators saw this restaurant and decided to give it a try. So glad we did, beautiful restaurant inside and wonderful seating. Upon seating our server was immediately there checking to see if we had show tickets so she could make sure we were served quickly. We didn't and were able to enjoy a leisurely meal. Our server Pauline was on top of everything and was friendly, polite and informative, couldn't ask for more. The food was so fresh and flavorful! I had salmon sashimi and grilled pork belly skewers. Both were melt in your mouth tender. I don't know the future of this wonderful restaurant with the Mirage going away but if you get a chance to eat here take it!

Yelp
MY LAST DINNER AT THE MIRAGE Last year I went to Vegas around mid-July. That first night I had dinner at OTORO Robata Grill & Sushi where I ordered the following items: shishito peppers, chicken breast, Chilean sea bass, otoro nigiri, akami nigiri, and Dragon Specialty Roll. I wanted to come back here to order the surf and turf roll, but I didn't anticipate coming back here one year later. When the news was announced in May that The Mirage would be closing on July 17 I had to come back here. As I was staying at The Mirage for three nights this made sense to come back to OTORO Robata Grill & Sushi. I ate here on my last day at Vegas on Tuesday July 2 with a reservation at 5:00 PM as I was going to see The Beatles LOVE at 7:00 PM. Whereas last year I was timid this time I was more adventurous. In order to achieve it I asked my server David what he would recommend from the robata grill section. I informed him last year I had the shishito peppers and chicken breast. David recommended the pork belly and the asparagus. The first dish to arrive was the surf and turf roll. When you think of surf and turf at a steakhouse you think of steak and lobster. In this case the surf and turf roll at OTORO is grill sirloin wrapped around a roll with spicy crab meat. If not for the sirloin the roll looks similar to a California roll. The appearance made me nervous as the sirloin looked like liver, which I don't like. When I took a bite the sirloin complimented the spicy crab meat. The surf and turf roll was filing. The pork belly was delicious while not too rich. I like asparagus, but sometimes the more eat them they have a texture like mushy peas. The asparagus at OTORO was out of the world. There was a nutty taste. I can't say it is the best vegetable I ever had, but the asparagus at OTORO was probably the best grilled vegetable I ever had at a restaurant. I wanted to get one more item. I told David I ordered the Chilean sea bass from the robata grill section last year. I asked him what seafood item he would recommend and he suggested the Hokkaido scallop. Scallops have a firm feel that sometimes have a bouncy texture if not cook properly. The Hokkaido scallop was tastier than the pork belly. The scallop at OTORO melted like butter. I didn't have dessert and I didn't want to feel too full. Dinner at OTORO was about 45 minutes. This gave me plenty of time to relax before The Beatles LOVE. Due the items I selected this year I enjoyed my dinner at OTORO this time compared to last year. With that I am glad I had my last dinner inside The Mirage at OTORO Robata Grill & Sushi.

Yelp
Server Gabby answered questions but not very friendly service-maybe just a bad night but really seemed to hate the job. Food was good, not great. I had a couple of rolls and they tasted ok but were loosely rolled. It was pretty crowded but food came pretty quickly

Yelp
I have been here a few times with family and each visit has always been wonderful. Their entire staff - everyone from the host, waiters, and manager have the most incredible customer service. Their food is delicious as well. They specialize in seafood but their meats are cooked perfectly too. The ambience is usually pretty romantic unless they have a big party dining in which case it may get a bit loud due to their layout. Overall its a great Japanese restaurant to check out and is the perfect pre-show dinner.

Yelp
Otoro straddles the line between small - plate gourmet and a traditional restaurant. It can't quite decide if it wants you to pay top dollar for a few incredible bites, or pay for decent but filling food. Come into Otoro expecting a fancy date-night. You'll get some bigger dishes and some smaller dishes. It will be hard to guess which is which from the menu. Avoid the roboto unless you really want it. We tried both the cheap chicken skewers and the wagyu, both were unimpressive for their prices and ingredients. The teriyaki sauce kept the chicken from being a total miss, while the wagyu was solidly "okay". I know these are a lot of knocks against Otoro for a five-star review. Otoro is really good and exceeded my expectations. It just fails to transition from "really good" to "amazing and absolutely memorable" due to a few odd choices and quirks. On the other hand, Otoro has an amazing atmosphere. It feels fancy with no hint of pretentious. It feels private without being shrouded in darkness. Everything, down to the arrangement of seats, feels expertly designed. Likewise, the foods that didn't disappoint were absolutely stunning. We got what must have been a few grams of sirloin being cooked over a hot rock, and I have absolutely no regrets. It was superb and would not be out of place at a restaurant twice the price. Every ingredient was notably and distinctly fresh. Absolutely top quality. That's what I want to leave this review on. Otaro is a gem. It's still a little in the rough, but a gem none the less.

Yelp
Came here on a recent trip to LV. We were a group of 6. Our server Pauline was exceptionally fun! We had a great time. We ordered seaweed and cucumber salad, chicken karaage, sushi, sashimi, crudo, robata... It was a lot of food! My friends ordered some really good sake as well. Everything tasted good. Fish was very fresh. Sushi/sashimi/crudo options were excellent. Robata was good but not exceptional.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick bite during IMEX. I dove into the food so quick I didn't take photos. Chicken skewers oh my! Whatever glaze was on it made me order a second round. The hamachi was very fresh and accompanied by the classic ponzu and jalapeño. My favorite was the thinly sliced steak cooked over a hot stone, makes a wonderful dish. The steak was marinated with some yuzu and soy sauce, so delicious! The molten lava cake was very good; very well balanced and a perfect center to live up to its name. Service was friendly with the waitstaff, the hostess needed to smile a little more. A beautiful restaurant with a peaceful ambiance inside the casino floor. The best seating was in front of the sushi bar.

Yelp
We decided to dine at this establishment prior to attending a show at the Mirage. The restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere and convenient restroom facilities. However, we were surprised by the high prices and small portion sizes. $12 for a simple salad is quite excessive. The grilled items were also small, but tasty. Although the servers were polite, they appeared busy and attentive service was lacking. While the food was satisfying, I do not foresee returning to this restaurant, given the abundance of excellent dining options available in Las Vegas.

Yelp
We were staying at the Mirage and were craving sushi so decided to give this place a shot. It was very good, the best place we ate while we were in the area for sure. We ordered the chicken and beef skewars which were all so tender and juicy. I loved the marinade used on the chicken ones, it had a little sweetness to it. Steak was cooked perfectly with a little chimichuri on top. The sushi was also very good. We got the spicy tuna roll, philly roll, and one more I cant remember the name but it had yellowtail on top of it. All 3 were amazing, fresh tasting and a good size. Price was reasonable for the area. Staff were all so friendly, and the vibe was very romantic. It was a great date night for us.

Yelp
This place is inside the Mirage Hotel, directly off the casino floor. Came here for late Happy Hour prior to a show. We didn't order from the main menu, so cannot comment on that. But for Happy Hour, we had the Chicken, Salmon, California Rolls & a couple cocktails. The happy hour menu is ok. The drinks were made well, and their staff at the bar is very friendly.

Yelp
Excellent dinner there on Saturday! We booked tickets to see Lim Shin at the Mirage and we're excited to try Otoro after reading reviews. We started w gyoza, shrimp tempura and seaweed salad (for me!) and really really enjoyed everything. The gyoza was hands down the best I've ever had; perfectly cooked and the filling was so tasty. My husband is NOT a foodie guy, but he could not stop talking about how good the shrimp tempura was for the rest of the night. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the breading was so good--light and crunchy. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! The seaweed salad was also very good. I'm bummed I can't remember our waiter's name, but he was excellent, and very helpful in answering our questions. He explained which parts of the menu function more like tapas vs. the parts of the menu that are full meals. We decided to do a couple of tapas-style items as well as sushi. We ordered the Togarashi Sirloin Steak (served on a skewer w pearl onions, shishito peppers, and yuzu chimichurri) and the Pork Belly (erred on a skewer w Japanese BBQ sauce). Listen, I could eat steak all day, but the star of this course was the Pork Belly--oh my God, fellow carnivores, get it! For our sushi we went w the Tiger Roll and the Spicy Tuna. The Tiger was phenomenal--got to have some of that tasty shrimp again! The Spicy Tuna was spicier than what I'm used to, and not for me, but my husband likes heat and throughly enjoyed it! We were there celebrating our anniversary (which we'd informed them of when making the reservations), and we're surprised with ice cream on the house. Could this place be any better?! Would definitely recommend Otoro, and we will definitely come back! If you do book ahead of time, ask to sit in the restaurant--it's beautiful, more intimate, and quieter than the bar side which dips into the interior of the casino.

Yelp
I am staying at the Mirage and was excited to find out that there is a decently rated Japanese restaurant here. I made a last minute reservation and the host stand was fast and friendly to get me seated early at a table in the bar area. I was dining alone and did not want to be in the dining room, though it looked nice. The bar area was also nice and comfortable. My server seemed very busy but they greeted me in a reasonable amount of time. The service overall was fine. I feel like the bar area was understaffed, so I don't hold that against my server too much. The very first thing I needed to order was the Otoro sashimi. I was going to order the grilled wagyu skewer but my server said that it can be tough and recommended The wagyu hot rock appetizer instead. They also recommended the pork belly which I had my eye on anyway. My first piece of Otoro came out(piece 'A' in my pictures). I was excited! When I bit into it, I immediately felt several tough fibers and an extremely tough piece of fat or sinew that I could not bite through. It was inedible and I would have had to eat around the inedible part as if it was a bone. I had only eaten 1/3 of the piece, so I sent it back and requested another. In the meantime, my wagyu hot rock and pork belly arrived. The wagyu hot rock was good, though the meat was better raw. It was the only really good part of the meal, and it was not amazing or innovative. The pork belly was quite a bit overcooked for my liking. It was quite dry and the sauce was very sweet. I'm sure some people would like this, but for me--it was like the texture of oven roast beef chuck and the flavor of KC BBQ sauce doctored with red wine vinegar. Quite some time later, my second piece of Otoro arrived(piece 'B' in my pictures). I was entirely edible but it was still full of fibers that I had to break with my tongue and it was just tough overall. The flavor was fine, but for the namesake of the restaurant: I'm almost offended that they would disrespect such an exquisite and endangered ingredient. At the end of the meal, my server asked how the Otoro was. I told them it was edible but tough and disappointing. They showed no concern or care about this. They brought the check, where I discovered that I had been charged $9 for an 8oz glass of soda with one refill. I have eaten at some nice restaurants and I have never been charged for non-bottled or canned soda like this, haha. Overall, I cannot recommend Otoro at Mirage. I was excited and wanted to like it, but I just didn't. For the amount of money I spent, I could have walked right across the street to the Venetian grand canal shops or restaurant row and had a much better meal.

Yelp
This review is strictly for the happy hr that occurs on certain days of the week in the lounge after 9pm. Like anyone who have had happy hours before, we know we're getting lots of food for half the price. So my expectation for this place is nothing less. From the limited HH menu, we chose several skewers and several rolls. When we got our rolls, the spicy tuna for instance, there were only four small pieces on there. The waiter explained it as it was only half of a roll. So if I do my math right, half of the roll for half the price... isn't that exactly the same as ordering from a non-happy hour menu? What makes this a happy hr menu?! Did I seriously starve myself until 9 PM for this?! The skewers were about two pieces per order. They were "normal sized". Roughly 3 dollars off compared to the main menu price. I didn't bother with the sashimi/nigiri section because two pieces of sushi is not worth $10. Again why call this a happy hr? This is probably one of the worst Japanese happy hour I have ever experienced due to the high prices and the little amount of food you get. The only redeeming quality is its taste, and the service. Then again, what do I expect from a casino restaurant? If you can eat outside of the casino, do it. Please don't use "happy hr" to draw people in and not give the people what is expected.

Yelp
Came for dinner with my girlfriends. We were slightly early but were seated right away by the pleasant ladies in the front. Our server, Koko was very welcoming, helpful, pleasant, patient and attentive. Quite honestly, every single person we interacted with was wonderful! Everything we ordered was amazing! The drinks were good and food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely be back for the lobster tempura. It was pure perfection! Tiger, Dragon and Spicy Tuna rolls were all delicious! I hope the Hard Rock will keep this restaurant on the property.

Yelp
Great service!!! This is such an amazing small place for eating some very delicious sushi!! The ambiance inside the restaurant is really trendy and chic too! The menu prices are okay as well! I'll be sure to stop by and eat over there again sometime soon!!! Thank you all so much for everything! Five stars is definitely my total rating!!! :)

Yelp
There are a lot of restaurants in Las Vegas to choice from, I would definitely put this one on your list to try. Great food & great service! We tried a couple of appetizers, one being the rock and tuna poke. It was so good! You will not be disappointed! Enjoy!
google avatar

Suzette Z.

Yelp
The food was ok and overpriced. If you're going to spend money here, get the sashimi and the cocktails. I was happy they had tuna belly, and the drinks (The Siren and Kyoto Garden) were excellent. I hoped for more from this place after reading some reviews. If you're going to see Shin Lim at the Mirage, this is a good place to stop by for drinks ahead of time. Get food some place else.

Yelp
We were staying at the Mirage and had some food and beverage credits to use so we decided on Otoro. The Otoro sashimi is buttery! We had four different sushi rolls and also some robata skewers that were so delicious we at them so quickly and didn't get photos! Highly recommend the lobster and sea bass! Our friends got the pork belly, shishito peppers, and scallops. The rolls were very tasty, and our waitress kept track of everything we ordered. It's a classy ambiance with a very fun vibe on the bar side, while the area with the restrooms had more booths and tables that seemed quieter. I would go again if I could!
google avatar

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Everything about this place is awesome! Our server was so nice and attentive... We enjoyed everything we tried yellowtail, the roll, the grilled scallops! Everything was delicious! Very pricey, but worth it. Highly recommend especially if you're staying at the Mirage you definitely want to check it out

Yelp
Recommend making reservations! Walking to the restaurant you will see a lot of greenery which the lounge is in front. As you walk up the steps you will see the hostess counter to check in and the actual dine in of restaurant is the rear. Ambiance very moody, romantic and modern. Wooden wavy wood beams caught my attention that reminded me of the waves of the ocean. For starters, we ordered The Rock, marinated sirloin which we cooked on a hot rock stone for 2 - 5 seconds each side. From the robata grill, everything is small plates, so we shared everything. We ordered Chilean sea bass, shrimp, Octopus, pork belly, two baby lamp chops and steamed broccolini. Our server was very attentive and very courteous. A very enjoyable way to have dinner before seeing a show to our evening. We had a great time and enjoyed our Robata experience!

Yelp
I went for happy hour this week, which is when I typically go, because you can't beat the prices. I ordered edamame, miso, soup, Bakuchi (yellowfin, tuna sushi), salmon robata, and a hot sake to wash it all down. The miso soup was too salty and the edamame never has enough sea salt on it. The star was the yellowfin tuna sushi. My total bill was under $30 for all of this so happy hour is definitely the way to go if you want to try out some of their food.

Yelp
My friends were staying at the Mirage Hotel and we wanted to grab lunch somewhere inside the hotel. We chose Otoro because it was the first thing we saw and the ambiance looked classy and clean. We ordered Oysters, Chicken Katsu, Tiger Specialty Roll, Robata Grilled Octopus, Pork Belly & Sirloin Steak, and Toro on Crispy Rice. The chicken katsu was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Robata grilled skewers were all delicious as well. I enjoyed every dish EXCEPT for the roll. The service was great. We had a lot of laughs!

Yelp
This place was a pleasant surprise. I had status-matched my MGM Gold card to Mirage/Hard Rock's new program, Unity Rewards, and they gave me Icon status (equivalent to Gold), and also threw me 10,000 tier credits, which was equivalent to a $100 off a restaurant bill. Originally I was looking at Mirage's Italian restaurant but it's actually closed Mondays and Tuesdays, so we went to OTORO instead. I saw they had a robata grill, which was interesting. We started off with three sticks from there: portabello mushrooms, wagyu steak, and pork belly. The mushrooms were okay but definitely tasted charred (probably intentional, but I hate charred things). The wagyu was very tasty, and the pork belly, of which I am sometimes not a fan, was super tender, and I really liked the BBQ sauce they put on it. We also got the miso potato puree, which was interesting and very good; a tempura sweet potato roll, which was okay; and a spider roll, which I also really enjoyed. To top that off, I had indicated on our reservation that it was my birthday (my birthday was a few days before that), and when we ordered dessert, they brought that plus two sorbets for me, with a candle, for my birthday. I think for all of our reservations on this Vegas trip I had indicated it was my birthday and no one else did anything for me, so this was a nice surprise. For dessert, we had ordered the strawberry meringue "tart," which was tasty but definitely sweet - it came with meringues, actual strawberries, some melted marshmallow, and other things. Would definitely stop by OTORO again and hopefully they will keep this restaurant during the Mirage to Hard Rock transition.

Yelp
The service was so nice. Very helpful and accommodating. Made me feel spoiled. Helping me find the right drinks and food to enjoy the evening. It was fun cooking my steak on the rock and making my way through an incredible dinner. Nice cozy ambience for one or the whole family.

Yelp
The seabass was amazing, buttery but not butter. It was flakey, flavorful and tender. I ordered seconds!! The Sashimi was a great portion. The tapas style grill was perfect to sample everything.

Yelp
First, I'd like to say the service was terrible!!!! Gabby was our server and she was very rude and seemed upset we were only ordering off the happy hour menu. She was very short with us, not sure if she was spread too thin with tables but it did not seem busy at all. As far as the food it was very mediocre nothing I'd come back for. So sad maybe the employees know they are closing and just don't care.
google avatar

Yelp
We ate at Nobu in Ceasar's Palace a few evenings before and found it overpriced and overrated. Otoro in the Mirage hotel/casino on the other hand offers better value and taste as well as having a Robata bar. Unfortunately I did not take enough photos but the meal was delicious and reminded us of Izakaya restaurants in Tokyo
google avatar

Jasmine Z.

Yelp
Coming from the Bay Area, where there are many fine dining options for Japanese cuisine, I still feel very impressed with the food here. Pork Belly: it's extremely tender, almost melting at your mouth. Great texture with nice flavors. Chicken Katsu: the rice is very special with a nice truffle fragrance. Like how this dish has everything (egg, mushroom, rice, chicken) and they really get along with each other. All other dishes were decent as well, but the two above were the best. Btw, the service is great. Get seated pretty quickly and waiter's recommendation turned out to be great.
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
Our waiter was Justin he was prompt polite and all around did an awesome job and had a great attitude. Our food was amazing. The octopus was cooked to perfection with the right amount of a grilled sear to the meat. The rolls were delicious and spicy the way they should be! Cocktails were well balanced in flavors and presentation.

Yelp
I had about an hour before a comedy show so I wandered around The Mirage casino floor for a bar. Good thing OTORO had lots of open space at the bar, because that's what drew me in. I had two "Sirens", a tequila based cocktail that was just sweet of enough for me. Oh so good. And strong. I was a little sad I wasn't hungry but I am thinking of coming back to try some of the sushi and other dishes. In all, solid spot if you wanted to have some adult beverages before a show!

Yelp
I always start off with service bc this is a big thing for me.. service was 5 star all the way. Every server / worker that passes you says hello. Yayou.. our server was very attentive. She even gave us a complimentary strawberry and ube sorbet. Thank you for the service. Now the food. It was amazing. The potato puree was so smooth and buttery. The truffle rice.. since we came late. I knew it was tiny bit old but still good. The filet mignon is juicy. The 79$ wagyu wasn't worth it.. I got mine medium well. This 6 Oz steak was a bit hard... maybe I should've ordered medium. And it was small to me. Total of din din was about $ 220 The decor and ambiance was so warm and lovely . Enjoyed our dinner. Def recommend.

Yelp
We got so much its hard to remember it all. Everything we ate was 5/5. We took all the recommendations from our amazing server, Justin. He helped us navigate the menu and gave us great insight on what to expect from the menu. He knocked it out of the park because everything was outstanding. Seeing the cooks grill the food in front of you is a added bonus for sitting at the bar too. Off the Grill Chilean sea bass- this came out first this is AMAZING. Cooked perfectly its semi sweet and melts like butter in your mouth. Must try Lamb Chops- they give you a knife but its not needed. It is served beautifully with a pear jam medley. The lamb falls off the bone...but the bone is very hot so give it a minute to cool down before you grab it. Pork Belly- i didnt get a picture of this but its basted with light bbq sauce. It is a fattier cut of meat which is to be expected with any pork belly dish. So much flavor in this cut so i hope people look past the "fat" part. Hokkaido scallops- buttery and semi sweet. The bacon wasnt over powering at all. Paired very well together. Sushi rolls Surf and turf roll- you cant get a more perfect roll then this. Fresh, filling and the seared sirloin gave it a savory smokey finish. I could eat this daily. Bakuchi Roll- it says spicy but dont let that scare you, Its not overly spicy. The jalapeño and onion on top is light and has a bit to it. Appetizers Hamachi crudo- With both crudos we tried it was so tender that chewing isnt necessary. This is yellowtail with a citrus soy sauce. Delicate, refreshing flavor. Seared Ahi crudo- this crudo has more of a flavor bomb than the other one. Both are amazing in their own ways. The gingery ponzu sauce should be sold by the bottle. Edamame- you can never go wrong with this appetizer. I could eat these all day everyday. But make sure you add the soy, chili and garlic for $2. More. Its worth it. All in all, Everything was cooked to perfection. Insane textures to all the dishes. Beautiful presentation. Fresh, bold flavors in every bite we took, and the service was top notch! Cheers!!

Yelp
Located inside The Mirage hotel right on casino floor. Restaurant has inside seating away from casino and seating near floor. Service was excellent. Waitress was helpful with questions. We enjoyed tempura shrimp, edammae, tiger roll and katsu chicken. It was great and we will be back.

Yelp
Sushi is good, if you're staying at the Mirage it's a good place to eat at and not look for one on the strip to save you time. It's the normal rolls, and nigiri or sashimi. They gave us a pretty awesome amuse Bouche which was a lobster tacos- really good. I had the Hamachi Crudo- good but I've had better. I also got the uni, unagi and scallops which were all good. Service is attentive. This place is solid and price if sushi is affordable.

Yelp
I found the hamachi to lack flavor but the black cod was out of this world! I'd go back just for that. Service was mediocre, but that's standard in Las Vegas these days.

Yelp
The service was okay. I'm not sure if it's because the Waiter had so many tables but it felt rushed. He wasn't really present and not all of the tables were full. Other than that, the food was good. We really liked the truffle fried rice. The chicken katsu was a little dry. We got two sushi rolls and the chicken katsu dish and it came out to be a little less than $100. For the price, I accepted better customer service.

Yelp
This was the last dinner in Vegas before my family took the road home to OC! I'd say this is a great place to have a fancy dinner at. I'd recommended to dress more formal as the ambiance has dark lighting and candlelights. Overall, the environment is classy and elegant. Our amazing server, Pauline recommended all of the dishes and helped us out when choosing! She is the sweetest and enthusiastic server. Her jokes brought a lot of laughter to the table too! We ordered the A5 Wagyu Stone, Seared Salmon Crudo, Hamachi Crudo, Toro on crispy rice for appetizer (it was a large group)! As for mains, we ordered the rainbow roll, tiger roll, and Bakuchi. A5 Wagyu Stone: 4.5/5 I thought the meat was a tad bit salty, but still delicious! We had a fun time flipping the meat. I'd say this is a must-get item. Seared Salmon Crudo: 4/5 I've had variations of this one dish before, but I believe Otoro is my new favorite. The sauce is not too overpowering- allowing diners to taste the freshness in the salmon. Hamachi Crudo: 5/5 Yellow tail is a fish that I typically do not order, but my family wanted to compare the two crudos on the menu. This was my favorite appetizer! The jalapeños added a flavorful yet subtle crunch to the soft yellowtail. Toro on Crispy rice: 2.5/5 I always order crispy rice at Japanese restaurants so I had high hopes for Otoro's. However, the rice wasn't crispy and the toro didn't have much flavor. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an off day. Rainbow Roll: 3.5/5 Standard, like the ones you'd see at sushi restaurants. There are less pieces of the raw fish though. We had like 1 salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. The rest were fillers such as avocados and cooked shrimp. Bakuchi: 4/5 Delicious roll! I'd say get this one since it is a specialty. Tiger roll: 4/5 Similar to the rainbow roll, standard.

Yelp
Had an unplanned dinner here the last night of our trip, walked in without reservation just hoping for a bite before we left the Mirage for our flight home. We were seated quickly in the casino facing bar/restaurant area, and the service from staff was prompt and friendly. The food was very good, including the "Rock" tableside appetizer which was a stand out. Also very much enjoyed both the scallop and pork skewers. Price was in line with other similar tier dining on the strip. Hadn't finished my cocktail by end of meal and the staff was nice enough to give me a "to go" cup so I could continue to enjoy it on the casino floor. Would happily recommend.

Yelp
I was invited to dinner here. The restaurant is insde the Mirage. I live in the area, but I ended up paying for parking because the machines weren't functioning correctly. The restaurant itself is quite elegant on the inside. I ordered Chicken Katsu. It was delicious and the portion size was good. It came with rice that was quite tasty. Staff was great. Very nice experience!

Yelp
Love this place for a nice sushi dinner! We come here every year for dinner with our team. Always a large-ish party of 8+. This is the second year we had Pauline has our waitress! She is excellent. Had lovely wine and lemon drop martinis. Started with the spicy edamame which had the perfect amount of spice and garlic. then we had the rock with the most tender meat. my colleagues really enjoyed their chicken katsu with rice and i loved my spicy tuna sushi. conveniently located inside the Mirage casino. they have a traditional dining room with chic decor and also a bar area that overlooks the casino. highly recommend!

Yelp
OMG SO DELISH! I'm doing a first and final stay at Mirage before they shut down. My first stop for a meal was dinner at OTORO. First of all, everyone was friendly starting with the host. I loved the ambiance sitting in the restaurant. My drink, The Temptress, was refreshing and lovely! For food we had The Rock, Kara Age, Edamame with garlic, chili, and soy, and a Bakuchi roll. Every single dish was amazing. I especially enjoyed The Rock! It seems so simple, but the marinade was very flavorful. It was really fun to cook on the hot rock. The Kara Age was boneless chicken with a. AMAZING green aioli. I'm unsure what made it green, but it was so good I even used the sauce for the sushi and meat from the rock!!! The edamame was AMAZING and is totally worth it as a side dish/appetizer. All in all, one of my favorite meals in Vegas and I'm hoping this restaurant sticks around once Mirage is turned into Hard Rock! It's pricy, but worth it. Sushi is usually never cheap! Haha

Yelp
Food: Everything tasted great and it was fun grilling on the rock. Overall: Had a good time.

Yelp
Beautifully decorated restaurant inside the Mirage Hotel. Between the four of us we sampled the Chilean sea bass, asparagus, pork belly, lamb chop and lobster. The servers were so attentive. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
We made reservations at Bazaar meat and also had tickets to see Mad Apple. Thankfully, I was sharp enough to reschedule our Bazaar meat experience for a night when we didn't have plans and could avoid rushing around. So, since we were staying at The Mirage (now operated by Hard Rock) and just wanted to eat and go, we found our way here. They were fully booked, despite countless empty tables and that's not a complaint. It was just an observation by a hungry chap. The hostess told us if we could find a spot at the bar, to hop up and get to it! I typically do not like dining at the bar. I do not drink and it's not comfortable to dine at a high top table, but when you are starving, you gotta take what you can get, right? We sat down, the bartender came over immediately to offer menus, water and ask what we wanted to drink. He was very knowledgeable of the wine menu (gf, not me) and helped us navigate the menu. We ordered a few apps and rolls and got down to it. Kara Age -- The description sounds amazing, but the product lacked flavor and the fry on the pollo was too light for my taste. I get that Japanese food is not exactly fried in the same way as they would fry some pollo in New Orleans, but it needs to be fried enough to create that crispy, crunchy exterior that everyone enjoys so much. This item was lacking in every category. Hard pass. Spider roll -- Nice flavors here. The soft shell crab was fried up nice, the flavors were semi spicy and this was easily the best item we had. I'd order it again. Spicy Tuna roll -- Not spicy at all and lacked flavor of any kind. Hard pass. I get that it's Las Begas and prices are inflated no matter where you dine. But, come on y'all. $20 for a clunky, bland fried chicken app? Stop yourself. I do not expect to find my way back here again, but I see a ton of 4 and 5 star reviews. Maybe I was just George Costanza on this night. It's not you, it's me. Doubtful though.

Yelp
This is a menu for all! I went the quick bite route and did a mix and match with a couple Robata options and the AMAZING A5 wagyu & crispy rice. I was open to anything on the menu and my bartender did not disappoint. Bar is open seating, but you'd better make a reservation if you are looking to get a table.

Yelp
First time staying at mirage and decided to try the restaurants on site and this was one of them. We made a reservation on the same day and that was fairly easy. The service was good and efficient. However the food was mediocre at best... The rock: interesting dish and we had fun grilling it. Skewers: The one with the cherry tomato was "wagyu" -super tough and chewy. The pork belly was soooo fatty I almost couldn't eat... the lamb chop was a bit cold and the fat was solidifying. The black cod was the best out of all! Would not return again.

Yelp
this occurred Monday March 11, 2024. If I could give a ZERO or negative ZERO I would. The service was awful and the manager is absolutely the worst. So after being overlooked by the waiter, we finally asked to speak to the manager and instead of him asking us what happened, this mofo asked to pay for our food. I said no, there's a bigger problem here, your staff overlooked me until my white husband returned from a little gambling, and as a POC I find it disturbing to be treated like this. We don't need you to pay for our food.... we can pay for our food and your salary. The manager didn't like that comment and was butt hurt and we left because he called SECURITY. really??? SECURITY? Which was a joke. Seriously mall cops with a badge who flunked out of the academy. (Yep, I said it) And then the manager lied and said I threatened to kick his a**. Huh? That 100% didn't happen so now he's lying on top of allowing his servers to be racist. Side note... several employees said this is not the first time this occurred and we should file a formal complaint. I plan to reach out their corporate office as this is UNACCEPTABLE. POOR SERVICE DISHONEST MANAGER RACIST BUTT HURT

Yelp
We were on our way to Love and had plenty of time so we decided to stop in. The food was meh compared to most sushi places I frequent back at home. Way overpriced for what we got.

Yelp
Wow! What a surprise! Made a last minute reservation and was pleasantly surprised. Every single dish and drink was delicious. I think the best scallops I've ever had in my life. The matcha dessert was also amazing!

Yelp
Went to Otoro in the Mirage during my trip to Vegas and really enjoyed my experience here. It's a great option to go to before one of shows at the Mirage. I was with my boyfriend and we ordered a bunch of items to share including miso soup, gyoza, the rock, some skewers, rice and vegetables. The highlight for me was "The Rock" which is one of their signature dishes - thinly sliced marinated sirloin that you cook on a hot stone at your table. Its a great option to share that's unique and fun as well as interactive. It cooks quickly just requiring a couple of seconds per side on the stone. The skewers were also the way to go. As someone who loves to try everything/split with others this was a great option. You get two skewers per order so it's perfect to split with another person to each try one. We ordered the Chilean sea bass, pork belly and chicken. The Chilean sea bass and pork belly were definitely chef's kiss melt in your mouth delicious. The chicken wasn't too memorable. We also ordered the asparagus, which was a pretty small portion and nothing too memorable either. I didn't try any of the sushi since I think this place is more known for their skewers. Service was great - staff was very attentive and super courteous/polite!
