"This family-run and owned east Vancouver spot offers brunch items like vegan migas made with Otra Vez’s own tortilla strips, cooked with Just Egg and layered with pico de Gallo, jalapeño, avocado, creamy black beans, and cilantro. For something truly original, the fluffy elote pancakes, studded with sweet corn, arrive topped with whipped queso cream, caramelized banana, and pecans, served with a panela sauce. Recent visit from a recommendation. Exceptional food, wonderful service, and a clean business. The only notch down was for the back of house supplies being visible in the dining area. But even when it's just the food alone it's worth it. Don't forget to ask for the house salsa, it is super good!

We had breakfast here yesterday and it was SO good! I eat a modified diet that is different from the rest of my family, so sometimes it can be a challenge eating out together. I absolutely loved the avocado toast. Mickey Mouse pancakes for my 4 year old daughter, and full breakfast plates that my partner and son enjoyed as well. Everything cooked to perfection 👌 If we lived in the area we would definitely be regulars. Highly recommend!

Google
This restaurant is an unexpected delight! I've driven by it dozens of times and finally decided to try it out for lunch. (Note: they are open Weds-Mon 8am-2pm.) It did not disappoint! The hostess and the waitress were very pleasant. Chips and salsa is a bit expensive at $7. But the burrito vegano and huevos rancheros were both so delicious and satisfying. We loved that you can make many of the items on the menu either vegan or vegetarian. We will definitely be back... and we'll bring our friends and family.

Google
This bunch place is great. The huevos Benedicto (English muffin is always crisp even with a doordash) and elote pancakes are so freaking good. The service is always nice and quick. Then coffee is better than a typical breakfast joint. The tequila sunrise is mine and my wife's go to drink. It tastes like an orange popsicle. Also the juices here are all fresh pressed. The hashbowns here are crispy cubicals of heaven. Also the torta is giant and still comes with a side of hash browns. Dare you to eat a whole plate. Also Summer was a big help in making my wife's scavenger hunt birthday fantastic! I gave her a cake the day before and hid it fantastically for me. This family owned business is just so good. You are doing yourself a disservice by not trying it.

Google
Cute little brunch place, hidden in a small strip mall. Interior is bright and has great natural lighting. Service is usually a bit slow, which is okay for a relaxed brunch but not awesome if you're in a hurry. Lots of great vegan options. The burrito and the pancakes are fantastic!

Denise Sproed

Google
Loved the vegan burritos with vegan chorizo. Mom enjoyed the avocado toast. Highly recommend this spot for vegan food.

Google
Ate here yesterday for breakfast. Very delicious food I got the French toast and my husband got the chilaquiles. Service was pretty quick and servers were nice, definitely will be back. Prices are decent. Menu is very limited but good options.

I came here for brunch and it was the cutest place. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great and the food is even better! My boyfriend ordered chilaquiles and it was amazing. I got elote blueberry pancakes and caramel pecan banana pancakes. They make the aguas frescas fresh everyday and they went along perfectly with our meals. This is a local family owned restaurant that I will definitely be supporting “otra vez”. :)

Yelp
Upon arriving in the Portland area we had a hotel in Vancouver. This delightful spot was across from our hotel and perfect morning meal spot. Their vegan options were above and beyond so we ordered the vegan burrito and Rrancheros. The rancheros were particularly good with the unique stack and sauces. Very very flavorful. The service was kind and courteous with masks where you could see the smiles in their eyes.

Michele Y.

Yelp
Wow, this was tasty! I loved the vegan options. We had a burrito vegano, which was slightly dry but the sauces they gave us made it amazing. I might have cooked the vegan bacon slightly more but it was still delicious. The rancheros was one of the most delicious and beautifully presented breakfasts I've had in ages. The tortilla was crispy and the mix of flavors was absolutely perfection. Our server was Summer and she was very friendly and gave us great service. The restaurant was clean and bright with modern Spanish language music. If you are vegan, there are lots of options. I highly recommend Otra Vez.

Yelp
Had a lovely and leisurely breakfast in this light-filled space this morning. It was our first time here and we immediately felt welcome by our server. He was friendly, helpful and attentive. Our food was delicious! I had Chilaquiles, my husband had the Rancheros and our friend had the Elote pancakes. All were delicious and prepared with care. The salsa they brought out was also tasty. They did charge .75 for 3 little containers of it. That seemed just a bit petty to us, but it really was very good. We will definitely be back!

Kristen S.

Yelp
I live in Southern California where there is not a shortage of Mexican restaurants and when I tell you these are the best chilaquiles I have ever had and I still think about them often. I was there in March lol. Get them, you wont regret it.

Penny S.

Yelp
I've passed this restaurant dozens of times but the other day was my first visit. While many cafes and restaurants that serve breakfast offer one or two Mexican dishes (think: huevos rancheros, or migas if you're lucky), Otra Vez is actually a Mexican breakfast place! Three in our party got the most popular dish: chilaquiles (it had chicken on it). Delicious! One person got the pancakes with caramelized bananas (he wouldn't order it again but thought it wasn't too bad) and one got huevos rancheros. One of us asked for some salsa, as there were only bottled hot sauces on the table (Tabasco, Tapatio). The server (who was an excellent server by the way) brought 3 very small cups with more than one kind of what I assume was house made salsa (I can't remember if it was 2 or 3). They were excellent, full of delicious flavor. When we got the bill we were charged .75 for each! It was one per ticket. Not all of us asked for it and some didn't have any at all. Yes it wasn't a lot of money, but since when does a Mexican restaurant charge extra for salsa? That's why I'm not awarding Otra Vez 5 stars. Salsa should come with their savory meals. They need to rethink this and learn that customers appreciate generosity.

April T.

Yelp
I don't think I'll be back, food and service were pretty good, food portions were small for the price. Champagne they used for mimosas was Cooks brand which is super cheap. They were out of most of their juice. Parking was terrible.

Chris T.

Yelp
The service was very friendly and prompt. The food was excellent! Will return soon to try other dishes.

Andrea A.

Yelp
This space is incredibly cute and Latino cultura is present throughout which I love. From the cute and colorful patio to the pops of orange throughout the restaurant. It's truly a gem in design. The only thing that stands out more than the ambiance is the food and cocktail lists. The elote pancakes was delicious and the chilaquiles I stoled from my husband were decadent. Service from the server to the hostess were kind and warm. We will definitely being coming here otra vez!

Jerrica C.

Yelp
I have been working out at the studio a couple doors down from Otra Vez for the past 10 months and never knew it was a delightful brunch place until this past Sunday! They have large ceilings where everything feels bright and sunny, and the food is so tasty! I had the huevos benedictinos which was a delicious eggs benedict with chorizo. Even though we were a party of 8, we only waited about 10 minutes until we were seated. There was very little wait time between getting seated, our orders taken, and the food coming out. All staff were very kind, checked in on us often, and very friendly!

R.L. C.

Yelp
Located just off 192nd in a lovely location with high ceilings and abundant natural light Otra Vez does not disappoint. The food is carefully prepared, well plated, and tasty. Service is quick, friendly and helpful with just the right level of attention. We had breakfast from a nice variety of options, supported with fresh juices and a nice complement of adult beverages. We will definitely go back and highly recommend!

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Great food. Everything we tried was delicious. I love that they have gluten free options, too. My only complaint was that they were out of Agua Fresca. Guess we'll just have to come back.

Robert P.

Yelp
My family and I adore this restaurant! The atmosphere is always inviting and clean, making it a pleasant dining spot. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the flavors are truly remarkable. I appreciate the variety of menu options available, catering to every palate. I can't recommend it highly enough, primarily since it's locally owned, which adds a personal touch. Plus, the customer service is exceptional; the staff is always attentive and friendly, making every visit a delightful experience.

Jorge C.

Yelp
Never heard of vegan scrambled eggs. Apparently everyone was sick and had to wear masks.

Anonymous A.

Yelp
Careful you'll spend a lot of money here lol. Food is amazing. Presented well. My girl is Mexican and she is very picky. She said their chilaquiles are authentic and loved them. If I didn't blow over $50 on just breakfast when we go, we'd go every day lol.

Gary P.

Yelp
First time visiting and was extremely happy with the food, service, and overall impression of Otra Vez. It's not one of those places you can easily see from the road despite being next to a main artery. Signage is pretty hidden. The main entrance is minimal as well, with only a small sign on the door. Parking wasn't a problem. The menu is minimal, which we love. Only nine main items on the breakfast menu. There is also a cocktail menu and we chose Mexican coffee and a mimosa. Very good. Crispy pan akes were excellent as was the Benedict with chorizo and Ranchero breakfast. Will be returning soon to try more!

Tammie N.

Yelp
The food is delicious, service is great, food comes out fairly quickly. The inside is clean, bright, with a modern diner feel. Highly recommend the chilequiles!

Andrew A.

Yelp
First, props for not jumping on the lame trend where you stand in line to order. And they actually offer real menus. The server was friendly and attentive. The wait was longer than expected given the number of customers. The chilaquiles were semi-satisfying. The American style fluffy scrambled eggs don't work as well as sunnyside or over easy. Overall though, they were good. But the big let down was the Tabasco hot sauce: what is this, 1986? Offer a homemade option please. The location is difficult to find. I'd probably return if I was in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way.

Stephanie J.

Yelp
This place is fantastic for breakfast, brunch, breakfast for lunch, cocktails, whatever you want to call your meal from 8AM - 2PM! I ordered the Mexican Coffee, Chilaquiles with eggs over medium, and just one of their Elote Panqueque to try....omg....everything was delicious but the Elote Panqueque was like an orgasm in yo' mouth!!! I can not say enough about these amazing pancakes! They are buttermilk cornmeal pancakes, whipped queso cream, caramelized banana and pecans in panela sauce. You have GOT to try these. You will not be disappointed.

G R.

Yelp
My husband and I went for breakfast for the first time. Here are our pros and cons. Pros: friendly and attentive staff we were seated right away as the restaurant was not full yet. we arrived at 9am. I had Rancheros which was very flavorful and delicious. My husband had the simple breakfast and he enjoyed it. Cons: staff were all wearing masks The booth seating was very uncomfortable. The seat backing did not have cushions only wood which would dig into our upper back/shoulder blades so we had to sit upright the whole time. Portion size for Rancheros was small for the price of $16. very noisy once the restaurant got filled up which it did by 10am. Maybe add more plants? Overall it was a good dining experience. not sure we'd go back.

Malika U.

Yelp
We were looking for a breakfast joint and found this place on Yelp. They weren't too busy when we stopped in and we waited a bit to be seated or greeted... There was a waitress who passed by us 3-4 times and still never once greeted us to say "hi" or "welcome in" or "someone will be with you in a minute"... She ended up being the one to seat us after we had been waiting. The service was not so great, could definitely use some work. Staff did not seem friendly at all. The restaurant has a small bar in it, and the place is not that big. Lots of windows, bright inside. We were pretty underwhelmed with the food. Small portions that were bland and not worth the price. Not sure if we will come back again.

Kathy N.

Yelp
Great tasting foods, prepared well and attentive service! We were seating quickly and our food arrived in a timely manner.

Johny D.

Yelp
Have been looking forward to check this place for sometime. Finally made it for breakfast! I'm giving it 3-stars for the following reasons: 1. Service was quick and friendly. Very attentive in refilling our water and coffee 2. The French toast was delicious 3. The Migas was below par. Lacked any flavor For $14, you got a pile of chips and maybe one egg. Migas is supposed to be mostly eggs with few chips mixed in, not the reverse 4. The chilaquiles was a small portion. For $15, i can barely find the chicken. Flavor was ok, as I've had better. And the irritation was they charged $.50 for side salsa, when they didn't even provide with pico de gallo (as it was part of the dish), when I asked for it as a side. Most likely I would not come back.

Karla E.

Yelp
This restaurant is AMAZING!!! They are SURVIVORS!!! Family owned & operated & the food is just incredible!!! We go for breakfast & have never ever been disappointed! CHILAQUILES . Huevos Benedictinos. There is not one bad thing on the menu!!! Plus the staff is just as amazing as the food!! On it every step of the way from walking in the door to ohhhh sad face -- leaving after an amazing meal!! GO EAT AT OTRA VEZ!!!

Robert K.

Yelp
Went here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The place was pretty crowded when we got there and even more crowded after we left around noon. The wait was like 20 minutes to get seated. Then another 20 mons to get our meals. The breakfasts were delicious too. The only problem is that there was not enough of the breakfast food there to really get you full. I mean I got the chorizo egg Benedict and it was so small that I was done with it in under 5 mins. For $14.00 I thought you might get a little bit more food. Oh well, if to you want to get full this is not the place to go. While eating I was saying to my self the we should have gone to a place like biscuits that had bigger portions. I came home after wards and made a cheeseburger. One thing I can say that it tasted delicious. The service was decent as well. Next time I might come back and try the pancakes but, be sure to order two breakfasts instead of one lol.

Courtney C.

Yelp
We stopped on our way through Camas, and we are so glad we did! Honestly one of the best meals we've had. Beautiful restaurant, great customer service, and quality food.. couldn't ask for more! We will be returning.

Melody M.

Yelp
This place is hidden in the back and so cute. The service was great. The food was great. The fresh squeezed OJ was amazing! I really liked the kick the avocado toast had.

Angelica A.

Yelp
Came to Otra Vez for Saturday brunch on the way to Beacon Rock. In love with the aesthetic and open windows with lots of natural lighting! My husband and I had a Tequila Sunrise and Grapefruit Paloma. That was probably the best Paloma I have ever had. Delicious and refreshing! We had the Chilaquiles and the Huevos Benedictinos. The Chilaquiles were delicious! The ingredients were fresh, the flavor was great, and it wasn't greasy or heavy. The Huevos Benedictinos were okay. Not bad not great. Put on a lot of hot sauce. Would love to come back and try more. I feel a 4 star hiding here!

David D.

Yelp
Since I have moved here from Arizona three years ago, this is by far my favorite eating establishment in Clark county. I go here 1-2 times a week and can't wait to bring friends and relatives when they visit. This place is a gem.

Michelle P.

Yelp
Presentation on food was amazing. The taste was a 4/10 . The french toast was not moist and crunchy how they describe it. The price I would say is tooooo over price for the taste you are getting. Would i come back. Mmm no. Worth a try though.

Heather R.

Yelp
I visited Otra Vez back in October for brunch. There was lots of Mexican breakfast dishes to choose from and some classic diner dishes. I got the chilaquiles. It was delicious. I like the chipotle sauce and the chicken was flavorful. The chips were thick and stood up to the toppings. I like some heat so I added hot sauce to it. Service was a little slow but they were under staffed. It was great brunch spot. I highly recommend it.

Cara A.

Yelp
Maybe we had an off day, but the service was a little on the slow side. No wait for the table, but the food took a while to come out. I thought the food was still great, portions were a little on the same side for the prices. I would be willing to try it on a different day.

A C.

Yelp
Conveniently located right of SE 192nd Ave Menu is simple but has everything for a good breakfast which includes pancakes, egg's Benedict, French toast etc. I saw plenty of folks ordering cocktails surprisingly and they looked good

d g.

Yelp
Called in to order take out for my sick kids on a Sunday morning... " we are not doing take out at the moment" that's what I was told. Really? Post Covid this is your business model in a service industry? Think... or may be rethink.

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Great food! I went back 3 days later because it was so good. A ton of great vegetarian options.

Scott W.

Yelp
The food here is good. The downside is its always busy and the service is glacially slow.

Jenn H.

Yelp
What an incredible find! We were visiting the area for my birthday and on our last morning I was looking for a delicious brunch spot near Troutdale and are we happy we found Otra Vez!! We ordered the elite pancakes to split between the four of us, a loaded omelette, huevos benedictitos, the crunchy French toast and chilaquiles. Everything was super tasty and was devoured in just a few minutes. The only sad thing about this place is how far away I live from it but I guarantee we will be back next time we are in the area and I will be telling everyone I know about it

Bryan K.

Yelp
Otra Vez was genuinely not a good experience. While the staff was very friendly, the service was extremely slow for being less than half full capacity. There were many other customers visibly upset at the wait as well. It was longer than 30 minutes after ordering. The food wasn't very good either in my opinion. I got the Huevos Benedictinos and the ingredients just didn't really work for me. The English muffin was very thin and cardboardy. Maybe having it toasted a little longer would have been a potential solution. The egg was also under cooked and super runny. The side of bacon was really tough as well and there were some grease left over from cooking it as seen in the pictures. For me, this was a big miss. All in it was $51 for the three of us; I don't plan to return here as it wasn't great value or food for that matter.

Kelly C.

Yelp
I am a fairly new vegan and trying to figure it all out. I saw Otra Vez online and we went there for brunch. Like I said, I am new to this and still trying to figure out what I like and what I don't like. Everything was perfect, the food was phenomenal and did not get the feeling like we were missing anything. The service was very good, they had a large group come in and take up probably nine tables, but we never felt like we were not getting taken care of as a result of the large group. I liked the simplicity of the restaurant - I'd give it a very positive feel. Vegan or not, you need to check this place out.

Mateo L.

Yelp
I would love to rate this establishment much higher since my wife and I love the concept and enjoy a few of the items off the menu but have to lower the rating due to the slow service in getting a table and slow timing in getting your meal. The last two times we've visited we've waited more than 30 minutes to get a table although all tables aren't full and waited approximately another 30 minutes to get our food. Such a great location, bright and spacious atmosphere and twist on a traditional breakfast place ruined by inadequate management.

Cynthia M.

Yelp
Amazing food, personable staff in this family owned restaurant. A tad difficult to find but keep looking it is so worth it

Joe ..

Yelp
Went several months ago and had breakfast consisting of tiny portions, meal was pricey and tasteless.

Krystyn M.

Yelp
I came here for brunch and it was the cutest place. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great and the food is even better! My boyfriend ordered chilaquiles and it was amazing. I got elote blueberry pancakes and caramel pecan banana pancakes. They make the aguas frescas fresh everyday and they went along perfectly with our meals. Dee B.

Yelp
Oh my yummy goodness!!! Vegan options, sign me up pls !! Also a full bar if your a day drinker! Wink wink

Jen C.

Yelp
We arrived early, like 8, on a Sunday and there were barely any tables taken. We were able to be seated quickly and had great service throughout the meal. The menu is brief and looks like it changes occasionally, but we were all super happy with our food. They only have one 'kids' meal, and it is a single pancake, a single egg, and a single piece of bacon. We opted to get the crunchy french toast for our 5-year-old and she ate it all, it was 4 slices of bread. There is also the option for a short stack of pancakes as a side that would probably work for most kids. I had the chilaquiles and my husband had the simple breakfast. The serving sizes are really good, not absurdly big, but very filling. I think the chilaquiles were the star of our order, delicious and topped with everything your heart could desire. Otra Vez does seem very family-friendly with high chairs and a family bathroom, the other bathroom is gender-neutral, which feels inclusive and welcoming. They have some outdoor seating and the dining room is fairly big, it looks like they could accommodate big parties. Overall, we hope to come back soon! We weren't able to try any drinks, but they have a lot of yummy-looking brunch drinks beyond just mimosas.

Beatriz R.

Yelp
The only reason this place gets 3 stars is wait time for food. The restaurant was not busy and we still waited 45mins for food. Cute place, friendly staff. The food was delicious, FYI they are smaller portions. Not the usual big breakfast.

Laura C.

Yelp
We got to the restaurant around 10:45am on a weekend and as expected, there was about a 30 minute wait. The tables were socially distanced the staff was wearing masks. This is an aesthetic little restaurant that's perfect for brunch. The whole menu looked good! The service was pretty slow, but we ended up getting the summer waffle, Mexican omelette, and chilaquiles, which were all delicious! The portion sizes were normal and we weren't overly stuffed when we left.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Otra Vez has the best vegan breakfast burrito in Vancouver- which says a lot!! The BURRITO VEGANO *V is so dang good, and a pretty large serving! The potatoes have a nice seasoning on them, and they don't skimp on the ingredients in the burrito. Overall a great combo of flavors. Price wise, it is currently $15 on the door dash app, which is a great price considering they are using vegan protein, dairy substitutes, and avocado! Very pleased with this meal- I usually eat it a couple times a month because I genuinely crave it sometimes. Will definitely be eating Otra Vez again soon!

Diane Y.

Yelp
Good food. Service is a bit slow but they stay busy! Food is delicious! chilaquiles we're amazing! Pancakes fluffy and yummy! Just needed more syrup.

Patty B.

Yelp
First time dining and was very surprised. The restaurant was packed. My daughter wanted lunch, but I guess we had brunch. She ordered the Huevos Benedictinos with Chorizo. Nice plating and it looked delicious. I ordered the Elote Panqueques and it was AH- mazing. I normally do not order a sweet breakfast, but decided to since my daughter ordered a savory. The Carmel sauce was so good. You did not need syrup. Warm pancakes with whipped creme, bananas, toasted pecans and Carmel syrup, wow. You must try. The order also came with 2 eggs and bacon since they ran out of sausage. I think an order of just the pancakes is more than enough. I will go back. The service was great, punctual and pleasant.
