OTTO

Sorry, OTTO just isn't cutting it. We've eaten in (they only have three tables lol), we've carried away, and we've had their doordash. They can't seem to get the cooking time right. It's super soggy all the time regardless of the cook-time request. We've had dozens of their pizzas and at this point I just need to give up. Lots of potential there, so it's really unfortunate. I attached a picture of our most recent doordash. All the toppings slid right off the pizza because the delivery person didn't know that a hot pizza can do that. Especially one that is soggy anyway. No, I did not have doordash replace it, because this WAS the replacement pizza (they had already sent a pizza an hour earlier that was a totally incorrect pizza) lol it was just not my pizza day! Nonetheless it got me thinking about the last couple of years and make the decision that we're just going to spend our hard-earned pizza money elsewhere.

Staff was pretty nice and place is pretty nice but for how much the pizza costs it’s just ok. Don’t think I’d ever eat here again . Pizza smelt weird and had a weird taste

Best vegan gluten-free pizza I’ve had! The crust is delicious, the vegan cheese melts perfectly. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great option for plant-based eaters—will definitely be back!

Doesn’t matter if I order through Otto or through Uber Eats, they always forget an item in my order. It’s just frustrating. My uber eats driver even told the Otto person they were missing something but they said they weren’t. How many times before I learn to just go somewhere else… I’m hitting my max with them. Also, please cook your pizzas longer. Everyone knows you need a more toasted undercarriage

Love hanging out at this spot while traveling to the North Shore. Friendly staff and quiet place to crash. Great food for the price.

Updating to 1 star. After filling in the form that they asked me to, I never received any update. Got even worse. Ordered with a group and got 4 pizzas. The meatball pizza was quite literal in the sense that it seemed like they took ONE meatball and broke it up over the pizza. The chicken, pear, and fontina was so dry in the chicken and sauce it was borderline inedible. The pepperoni pizza was okay, but don't get goat cheese on it, that is a gross combo, and I love goat cheese. There is so much better pizza in the area for much cheaper. You can skip this place.

Shout out to Ryan and the team at Beverly Otto. After a botchef pizza delivery through a third party they totally turned it around. These guys know how to do right by the guests and made a perfect pizza in the end.

I had left a generous 5 star review prior after ordering from here about 4 times, even though the food was pretty inconsistent. When it's good, it's great. But sadly you can only expect it to be great 2 or 3 times out of 10 times. The workers are super nice, the vibe is great, but you just never know what to expect with the food. My orders have been wrong about half the time, along with the pizza looking like it had sat out for an hour or two, even though I would pick up my order at it's designated time. I really wanted to love this place because the Portsmouth NH one is amazing, but the Beverly MA Otto has not lived up to its expectations. I hate giving bad reviews to small businesses but I can't justify the price when the quality is so inconsistent.

Delicious! Just delicious. Chewy & crispy crust. Perfect sauce & cheese. The meatballs were tasty & tender - what a great sauce.

My first experience here was great, I had the La ge Margherita, at the restaurant, the second time I ordered take out, 3 pizzas, 1, sausage & mushroom, 2, mushroom, onion & green pepper & 3, the Margherita. The Margherita was great again, the other two had so much black pepper on them or in a shared topping (mushroom mix?) they were inedible, maybe just an off night, I didn't have time to cook dinner from scratch tonight, so I ordered 3 again, the Margherita was great, the other 2 did not have any mushroom mix but, they were both completely raw in the middle, the tomato sauce has no acid buffer so it's painful to someone with a sensitive stomach, after scraping off the sauce, I had to put both in my oven to try & salvage dinner because at nearly $80 I could not bring myself to toss it, not coming back. I ended up having to cook anyway Would recommend the Margherita pizza ONLY

A Pizza, not Apizza. Otto seems to have a consistency problem. The two locations I have been to in Maine always have an almost perfect pizza. I ask for well done, and they come out just slightly charred...perfecto. The crust is a bit chewy, but not dense, with a few bubbles along the edge. The toppings seem generous and evenly distributed on the pizza. Beverly, MA... not so. The well done crust was not, the crust was chewy, and dense like it had never seen any yeast. So dense in fact that the slices were not even cut through the whole crust...ever eat a perforated pie? The topping was scattered on one side, and almost missing on the other. I may try again, but not if Joes is open.

Sat at the bar and enjoyed meatballs, pizza and beer. Everything was solid. Will go back in the future.

We needed a late night takeout option when visiting Salem and this really delivered! Very impressive gluten-free and regular pizza! It also held up very well when the next day as leftovers

The North Shore of Massachusetts doesn't have a ton of vegan-friendly pizzerias. OTTO, a mini-chain started in Maine, opened in Beverly recently and offers vegan Violife cheese. As always, 3 stars is not a bad review in my book. We got a large with the Violife and a couple toppings ($25). The crust has a nice crispiness and chewiness all at once; I also appreciated the extremely fresh toppings and the nicely-melted vegan cheese. These aren't saucy pizzas and instead feature dollops of marinara above the toppings and cheese, instead of underneath. It works and tasted good. If OTTO added vegan toppings like pepperoni and sausage, and added a vegan dessert or two (how about cannoli?) it would earn another star. Stop by OTTO for a good vegan pizza.

We ordered the Greek salad and a slice of the margarita pizza. The premade salad was truly awful. Brown lettuce, really no flavor. Greek dressing was not Greek dressing. Hard to describe how flavorless and bad it was. The slice was very average. Disappointing as I have loved the Brookline location. Hate to leave such a bad review but don't order the Greek salad.

OTTO in Beverly is great! My new favorite local pizza spot! I have been to OTTO in many locations over the past 12 years, including Portland HQ, Harvard Sq, Boston, Newburyport, and I fell out of love with them. But this new location has been consistently delicious and my favorite junk food. It's not your typical joint--it's more modern aesthetically and so is the pizza. Clean white walls, a bar area and about 8 tables makes up the interior of this space, and they also have a bathroom for eat-in patrons. It's a very clean environment which is noticeable and appreciated. This OTTO is different than most, and better. They have a unique way of saucing the pizza, in dots on top of the cheese. They give ample amounts of sauce so you can find the perfect bite no matter what. It's a unique eating experience, but they have mastered it at this OTTO. I used to shy away because of their spotted sauce, but now I love it! Bites of perfection. Their dough is fresh and made to order, not prepackaged like other local spots, and they have thin crust but sturdy enough to hold ample sauce & toppings. Their toppings are fresh & flavorful, and they have oregano, garlic powder, chili peppers and Parmesan cheese, as you would expect, to spice it up. And if you have any special requests, they are more than happy to accommodate. They offer gluten-free and vegan options (yes vegan cheese!) for those with food sensitivities and special preferences, and they list which veggies are non-vegan on their menu. They also offer double dough, which I haven't yet tried but I appreciate the option. I've stopped in for a slice 4 times now, and I have been completely satisfied by their food and great customer service. I've tried their cheese, pepper & onion, and margherita which I requested that they add sauce to it because it's a white pizza, and they were glad to do so. The guys in here are so nice, they follow instructions (when asking for special requests), and the pizza is very good. Definitely recommend. Definitely reheating pizza must be your typical chain now taking shortcuts. Tried again and not super hot.

I posted a review about how I have been here 3 times and each time they didn't have my order even though I ordered and paid online and then had to wait for them to make my order. Someone from OTTO contacted me and asked me to email them. I sent 3 emails and got no response so I think I'm don't with OTTO.

Good pizza, but maybe try to get the toppings evenly distributed so there's some on each slice and not all of it on one slice. What's the rush?

It's definitely quick and convenient pizza, however I think they are not necessarily very consistent. I've ordered the same pizza from there probably 10 times (Buffalo Cauliflower) and it's literally different everytime...amount of toppings, amount that it's cooked, etc

We decided to try Otto pizza for takeout with some friends recently. What a mistake. I ordered 2 pizzas. One margherita and one bacon potato. I figured they were safe choices since we had been to a few other Otto locations and loved them. I don't know if it's just this location or if Otto has just joined the chain that grew too large and now sucks restaurant group but it was almost inedible. We picked up 25 minutes after ordering based on being told it would be 20 minutes. In a 4 minute drive home the pizza was stone cold and dry as dust with little to no flavor. On a side note, we walked by the place a few nights ago and one of the employees in the kitchen had a tank top on with no bra in an open kitchen. Sorry, but this struck me as odd and really unprofessional. We won't be visiting this establishment again. A short drive over the bridge to Salem gives us at least 2 far superior options for pizza.

"Let's just order a pizza." These are not words that set expectations high. We were tired and cranky and hungry and, on a Sunday night, the options were limited. Fine, I thought, and started to dial that place with the flashy TV ads ... but wait, what about Otto? What ABOUT Otto? Start with the menu. We only needed one pizza but ordered two because who can pass up bacon and onions and mushrooms on the same pizza? And we both have a deep abiding love for just plain cheese pizza, when it's good. So we got two pies. And, oh, was it good. The right kind of crust, bubbly and crunchy but not TOO bubbly or crunchy ... just the right combination of cheese and sauce. The kind of cheese pizza that almost makes you forget you ordered two kinds. But wait, what's in the other box? The bacon/mushroom/onion combo was pretty amazing too. Someone over there is thinking hard about ingredients. Especially when you're expecting crummy take-out pizza, something to just get you past dinner, this is such a nice surprise. Should we open a bottle of wine? Online ordering is easy. Delivery was fast, the woman was nice, the pizza was piping hot when it arrived. I'm pretty sure they have options beyond pizza at Otto but I'll be honest - I'll probably order the same thing this week. And next week too. And if we get three pizzas this time, maybe there will be leftovers!

Oh my goodness! I love this pizza. I moved here 5 years ago from the New Haven area of CT. The pizza haven of the world. Though Otto's still isn't NH pizza it is indeed yummy! I love the Margherita. I get it with no sauce. Love love love it. The crust is very flavorful. The other thing is that you don't have to wait long when ordering. It's a really quick process. I use the app on a regular basis. They also have rewards! Lastly, and I'm not sure this is a good thing. Well not if I keep it up anyway. I eat the entire pizza all in one seating. Yikes! I just can't stop once I start. Lol It is delicious. So if you want flavorful dough, fresh topping, easy order process, a fast pie and a pleasant experience this is your place.

Best pizza in Beverly. Amazing thin crust style. The delivery driver recently delivered the wrong order to me and the Manager promptly delivered a new order at $0. And make sure I was completely satisfied.

After moving to Salem 6 years ago, we sampled many pizza delivery places and were always disappointed. Flavorless, dry, late arrival, you name it... ick. Then our daughter suggested Otto Beverly and wa-LAH our Friday nite pizza night is back to being a thing of joy and anticipation. We can order at breakfast for delivery at 6PM and it always arrives on the dot, HOT. I mean you might even have to wait a minute so as to not burn your palate. Fresh, high quality toppings, glorious thin crust, not drowning in cheese and oil. We absolutely love it!

I used to grab pizza from the Harvard Square location when I worked in Cambridge, and was excited to see them opening up a few blocks away from where I now work in Beverly. We've ordered a few times from them, sometimes taking a break from work to go down and pick it up, and sometimes ordering delivery. The pizza is always hot (but not burn the roof of your mouth hot) and delicious. They're a welcome addition to our lunch rotation.

Awesome pizza. Delivery was on time, easy to order in advance, and personable driver. HOT food delivered to the beach... can't beat that.

So glad they opened a location in Beverly Mass. I used to go to Lynnfield, Beverly much closer worth the drive no matter what. Upscale taste,fresh ingredients and unusual combinations like mashed potato,scallion and bacon....YUM!!! Place is always clean and customer service is great. Staff friendly. Otto is pizza perfection. The App is very user friendly and straightforward, it's easy to customize, add or remove ingredients, or get creative and build with your own toppings, and the check out process is also very easy and convenient. Pick-up time has always been as promised and the staff is friendly and attentive. We order the Margarita and Cheese pizzas. The crust is thin, crispy, and chewy and there's just the right amount of cheese without any grease or oil. The Margarita has a generous amount of fresh thin-sliced tomatoes and plenty of fresh-cut slivered basil. The crust and sauce on the Cheese pizza are excellent and, again it had just the right amount of cheese. Otto's pizzas are made with really fresh ingredients. They manage to be light and crispy while having a generous amount of toppings. Ottos really is above and beyond other pizzerias - we think they're the best pizza for quality ingredient and value in the Beverly/Salem area.

4.5. I haven't had Otto in 8 years and forgot how good it is. My wife and I are really happy to have this new location within delivery range.

Despite stiff competition from that corner on Cabot St., Otto takes the crown. This is really good pizza. Never left wanting for more topping. Don't just assume that your extra sauce is in the box though.

LOVE OTTO PIZZA! Used to go weekly when I lived in Brookline. Was so thrilled when I heard they were coming to Beverly! Ottos is our all time favorite, The crust , sauce and ingredients are all so fresh and flavorful . Their tomato sauce is the best! The app is a good experience for ordering. Pizzas ready on time and stay hot on the pick up rack.

We love Otto!! It was such a great surprise to see they were coming to Beverly and the new location doesn't disappoint. Their online ordering site is easy and convenient, the food has been outstanding, and the service impeccable. Our orders always arrive on time or even early!

The first time I ordered the pizza was great. It had a thin, crispy crust and lots of toppings. However, the second time I ordered, after telling my husband he would love it, the crust was so undercooked as to be almost raw. Husband was not impressed and I was so disappointed! We could not even eat it. Will I try again? I just don't know

The pizza is thin like I like it and it is the same as the one in Newbury. A good balance of ingredients and good quality ingredients as well....also consistent and important to me. I recommend this pizza and have it often. Enjoy

The pizza is so good here! I've had the mashed potato - bacon - leek, the cheese, and the eggplant - ricotta - basil. Also had a bite of the spicy pork - pepperoni - bacon - sausage, which was also delicious. Not greasy at all, fresh toppings, nice crust that isn't doughy or too flimsy. Absolutely delicious! The service here is fantastic - I was greeted upon arrival and the staff made sure I had everything I needed. So friendly and helpful. Will absolutely return - a fantastic addition to Beverly!

pizza is always very good. thin crust, tasty sauce but this one was pretty skimpy on toppings for what I paid for it. disappointed in this order from Otto. usually it's better than last nights.

great pizza, consistently, and the specialty pizzas are amazing! the buffalo cauliflower is one of the best pizzas we've ever had, and the new seasonal (balsamic brussels sprout, blue cheese & bacon) is SO good
