Fantastic pie. Among the best I have had even after years in NY and Philly! Delicious, spicy red sauce, an ability to skip the cheese and have it stand alone! (Mozzarella and Asiago mix for those loving the cheese), perfectly sliced, spicy and crisped pepperoni and meaty, smoky bacon. Generous roasted garlic and fresh basil no charge. Crust spectacular, perfect balance of crisp and chew, nicely cooked and slightly charred in the oven. Flavorful. One of the best pizzas I have had in a while. Easy to order, friendly service, and ready promptly when promised ( in our case 15 minutes, enough time to grab a beer around the corner at the Lincoln)

It's rare to get greeted by employees with their heads up and smiling and managers saying, "Hello". This location is clean inside, easy In-N-Out, and the pizza is very quality like you expect from their other locations.... Thin crust, tasty, and large slices. Appreciate how they switch up the toppings. First place I will look for when in the area working. A+ experience.

I ordered the mushroom pizza, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and the mushrooms were fresh and perfectly cooked. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients. Beyond the amazing pizza, the staff was incredible. Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic about their food. They made the experience even better with their great service and positive energy. If you're a pizza lover, Otto is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

You will always be disappointed. Your Uber Eats order will be incorrect- they pay no mind to alterations or requests. Then try ordering directly through their website with a delivery time of 7:15. It’s 8:40 and it never arrived- made for a great Super Bowl party! Absolutely would not recommend in any capacity- save your time and order from quite literally any other pizza place in Boston. It will be better than Otto. Papa Johns, Dominoes included. Oh and don’t bother calling as they don’t bother to answer their phones. Extremely unprofessional

Unfortunately, this Otto location is a bust: the only reliable constant is that something will be wrong with the food. This is too bad as the pizza is legitimately good... I am allergic to dairy and stated that to the woman on the phone while ordering--we had a long back and forth to confirm the order and to make sure there was no dairy on one of the pizzas. After opening the pizza box, I could already tell that the food was wrong--there was no sauce--but I was pretty hungry so I took a bite. It was covered in cheese. This is annoying but also I am truly allergic to dairy and could have gotten pretty sick from eating this. I know no cheese on a pizza isn't a common order but I can't eat it! If this were a one-off, I wouldn't write a review but there is always something wrong.

Ridiculous experience time after time. Every month or so I forget how disappointing and aggravating this location is and order from it again thinking this time will be different. It’s not!! I ordered two pizzas an hour in advance of pickup time. When we went to pick them up it was clear that they hadn’t even started the order. We sat there for 45 minutes only for one to be made incorrectly. That tacked on an additional 25 minutes. Am I insane? How long does it take to make a pizza? We ordered these an hour in advance!! The pizza was mediocre at best—soggy. The woman at the front desk was nice but completely unhelpful. Lord help me a month from now when I’m stupid enough to drop $50 on two small pizzas and order from them again.

Really feel like the quality of Otto’s has taken a sharp decline. Stopped in for a slice of cheese today, slice couldn’t support it self and ripped in half when I picked it up. Also had subtle notes of dirty dish towel in the flavor. Otto used to be a top pizza place for me but it feels like this one especially has stopped caring about quality.

We love Otto! Their dough is crispy and not too thick. Love the toppings offered. Friendly staff. Can grab pizza by the slice or the whole thing. Salads are always fresh. This is our go-to pizza place for delivery.

Came in at 3:45 met the nicest lady and helped me with my order even though I had trouble seeing she reassured me she struggles with that too her name was Alexandra awesome lady thank you Otto I definitely recommend this spot

UPDATE to my Prior Review: One of the reps high-up at Otto reached out to me after being made aware of the poor experience I had by the social media team. He apologized profusely for the poor experience, the delay in making it right, and owned up to the poor experience. He ensured that the salad was refunded to me and was incredibly helpful and apologetic, as my poor experience isn't the typical experience they want a customer to have. It's rare to find companies that will own up to a poor experience and/or mistake. I applaud the team at Otto for making it right. I genuinely appreciate it and it goes a very long way for me. I do hope this location in particular improves the quality of the food and pays better attention going forward. I would consider giving it another shot in the future. Everyone deserves a second chance in life.

Hung out at my mom's today and she was craving pizza. So I ordered from Otto. It's been a while since I've had their pizza and it's still good. However, due to the frigid weather today, we got the pizza delivered and when it came it was already cold. Nonetheless, it was still good, just cold.

The most greasy, tasteless mess of a pepperoni pizza I have had in my entire life. Totally gross.

Ate at the one at Logan Airport. The absolute worst pizza I've ever had in 41 years on earth! I'm being dead serious when I say frozen Bagel Bites are SIGNIFICANTLY better. I bought two slices of cheese, ate a couple bites of one and then threw them away. It might be spoiled or something because of how bad it smelled and tasted. It smelled like feet! The pizza was super floppy and soggy and greasy. The proprietor of this place should be in jail. Edit: no response after filing out the below request in response to the faux concern.

Awful - the pizza is 30 dollars and you 0 dough or sauce. They added a new double dough option because they are skimping on the dough which is absurd. They burn the pizza half the time and it's never ready on time

I just recently tried Otto pizza in South Boston , and was pleasantly surprised , I am a fan of pizza that not red sauce based , I love the bacon , pineapple and hot honey , we've been twice in the last 4 weeks . ordering online is also super efficient and picking a time ahead is really going feature , so I can order at lunch time and my husband and pick up on his way home . the staff are friendly upon entry , and the place looks very clean.

Pizza is always great, service is usually pretty bad. They've forgotten to make my order a couple times when I've called ahead, and my most recent delivery is over an hour late

Pizza is ok but the pickup time always over estimates so pizza is cold when you pick it up. Salads are premade, past due and brown. I've ordered salads a few times, and the quality has been consistently BAD. I reached out to Otto for refund after my last and final order, and didn't receive a response. The Brookline location is ok but Southie has way better places to get pizza and salads from.

Ordered take out from Otto and it was awesome. Excellent gluten-free pizza and they handled my allergies super well. The classic salad had a delicious red wine vinaigrette that I wish I could order by the bottle!

Pizza flavor on the right point. Certainly! If you're trying Otto Pizza, I recommend their signature "Masher" pizza with mashed potatoes, scallions, and bacon - it's a unique and flavorful choice. Enjoy your meal!

We had a togo order last night and the server was so rude the moment i walked in. I had to wait for him to finish his facetime call before taking my order. Then we came home and realized we missed some food items, tried to call the restaurant but no one picked up. Hours later we tried again, the guy said he couldnt find our order and when we offered the order number he said he didnt need it and insisted he couldnt find my order (which was placed online). Then he proceeded w the call as let me talk to my manager, placed me on hold and just hanged up. It was just 2 tiramisu so I didn't feel like calling for the 20th time to experience that rudeness again.

Nothing memorable , pricey for pizza and it's just ok tasting pizza. They also serve alcohol on the premise so you can sit and have a beer or wine not to sure what they offer on beverages.

Never again. Absolute insanity. I had pizza from one of their other locations and it was pretty damn good so I figured I'd order from the South Boston location as it is closest to home. The estimated wait time was about 30 min - no issue there - I purposely arrived about 10 minutes late because I understand how busy a place like this can get, and rather than rushing them I figured I'd give them some extra time. I was initially told my pizzas weren't ready yet - again, I'm patient - no big deal. Perhaps I'm too patient because after another 20 minutes of standing around I spoke up to another employee who very matter of factly told me that he had given my pizzas, inexplicably, to an Uber Eats driver about a half hour prior. I couldn't make sense of it since I had ordered directly, and it wasn't a delivery order. He offered a blank stare and zero explanation, and told me that he would have made them again for me, but they were closing. Naturally I requested a refund but was told I would have to physically come back the next day when the manager was present. What world are we living in here? Fast forward 6 months to tonight - my wife decides to give them another chance. She walks in and orders 2 pizzas. She said it was very busy and was told 30-40 minutes. No big deal, sometimes in life you have to wait. She waited about 50 minutes or so and then asked the gentleman at the counter what the status was in the pizzas... and, you guessed it, my pizza was actually ready and still in the building... but they gave hers to an Uber Eats driver! What... the... f--- ? A 0% success rate. I'd rather eat Celeste pizza knowing an Uber Eats driver isn't going to somehow intercept it. What a disaster.

We arrived at our hotel starving and ordered Uber Eats from OTTO and OMFG soooo good. I ordered vegan cheese and GF options and I was so happy. I cannot praise it enough. I got the Buffalo cauliflower small veggie pizza and my husband got the sriracha chicken and avocado. We loved it'

They made a mistake on our order and wouldn't fix it. The pizza was essentially an inedible over toasted, over seasoned pita chip. Super disappointing.

Don't do delivery here on their app! We ordered a large pizza and side meatballs through the Otto app. The app said it would take a hour for delivery, which is okay as I understand it's busy. After getting close to a hour we noticed that the app hadn't updated, so I called them to see if my food was in transit and was told that it was on the way - 25 minutes later still no food. I called them again and they said it left and I should be getting soon so I went downstairs and the delivery person left it on my front steps, no call or anything from the delivery person. The pizza was super cold and not the correct size, I called them again and was told they have a new cook and they apologized saying that a manager would follow up the next day. It's been multiple days and I haven't heard anything even after a called a day later to speak to a manager. It ended up costing close to 40 dollars for a small cold pizza and cold meatballs.

Tucked into a S. Boston neighborhood, OTTO fits right with the local style. The pizza is to die for! Thin crispy crust & out of this world topping combinations that you will not find elsewhere. I love the Southie culture & the employees always make me feel welcome. Thanks OTTO!

Placed a delivery door dash order , order was confirmed and 5 minutes before the delivery time the restaurant cancelled my order due to "unable to fulfill". Normally I get a call from the restaurant when there is something they can't do for the order, this restaurant cancelled it last minute without a courtesy call, I would have changed the order if they were out of an ingredient.

First off the pizza is awesome. It is our daughter's favorite. Love the options and monthly specials. Fresh ingredients too unlike other shops. We visit the South Boston, Ma location and the service is ok. Some pay attention to detail as always need to advise on allergies (eggs, peanuts, tree nuts) They have strived to make online ordering easier as in the past it could be cumbersome, so that has gotten better. The rewards program needs to come back for online too! All in all it is our go to pizza spot.

Changing my review to 5 stars bc their customer service is really good and they take feedback into consideration. Still love Otto's and am always craving it.

Pizza is good, but poor customer service. Was on hold for at least 5 minutes and they sounded like they were having a conversation. I hung up and called back 8 times with no answers and one call forwarded. I just wanted to ask a question as far as alternating my pizza.

This location has taken a dive. Used to come here all the time. Too many garbage experiences. 3 of the pizza styles are listed. 3 were not. I asked the hooded guy who couldn't say hi what the monthly special was. His answer, as he turned his back on me "whisper whisper whisper", I said I couldn't hear a word he said, he turns around with a blank stare, then says "I don't know, but it has onions on it I think". I ordered a different style, he grabs it and puts it in the pizza oven which had an old slice just charred to death, he took it out and dropped it on the counter. Mine was in for maybe 10 seconds, took it out, put the smallest slice I have ever seen at Otto in my to go box. Rings me up, gives me a dirty look when I don't tip. Good bye Southie Otto, back to Alfredo's.

Ordered for pick-up online and the ordering process was easy. According to the tracking system it was suppose to be ready by 7:12pm. We left to go pick it up when it the tracker said it was ready since it's down the street hoping it would be quick grab and go but boy was that far from reality. Once we got there and asked for our order, the staff then STARTED to make it. It was then they took our order receipt and put it to the order window. I ordered it to be picked up at 7:12pm not to start making at that time. It took another 30 minutes before I was able to get my pizzas. I wouldn't have been as upset if they actually updated the online tracking system to reflect actual time because then I wouldn't have been forced to stand in the store to wait for the pizza with everyone else who was waiting and maintaining social distance being difficult. In regards to the pizza, the toppings are definitely on the skimpy side. For the price of the pizza, I would've expected more toppings and the other locations I've been to have been better. The pizza tasted good but if I weigh everything that's happened, definitely not worth it. The only reason it gets 3 stars is because the taste and texture of pizza was good.

The short Spanish pizza maker guy was super cocky and disrespectful toward client. First-time tryouts this place and never come back.

So I went in last night around 1130pm on Friday 2/4/22. The only reason I'm putting in a date and time is so the owner know who worked that day. First of all the pizza was great and the price was reasonable. The lady at the cashier was rude and just giving attitude for no reason. It was almost like I was bothering her for ordering food. I will not be coming back because there are a ton of other places to eat. Just to reiterate, the food was perfectly fine, it was your staff that made this experience horrible

Ordered Otto's on Friday during quarantine, placed pickup order through their website at 7:30pm. Very surprised to see our order wouldn't be ready for pickup until 9pm! We tried to call the restaurant for confirmation (we called 15 times over a 15 minute period), phone line was either not picked up or went busy every time. Terrible service, couldn't cancel online. Also a bummer they don't offer delivery or associate themselves with any delivery options! Overall service 1/5. We decided to stick out the long delivery time (as we couldn't cancel online or contact anyone at the store), picked up order at 9:10pm. Arrived home pizza was still warm, so I guess the long pickup time was correct. To the pizza, there has been a lot of hype for this place and it semi lived up to expectations. The sauce, toppings and cheese were fine, but the crust was really the best part. Probably the best crust I've honestly tasted in years! Overall pizza 4/5. I realize the pandemic is causing functional issues and huge demand, but not picking up the phone and having 1.5 hour pickup wait times is craziness. Probably wouldn't go back, true rating is somewhere between 2.5-3 stars.

Terrible customer service at the south Boston location. For starters nobody answers the phone so u can't call in. Then I go in person where the bald man with glasses was completely rude and ignorant, I walk in to order a large pizza the guy comes up to me and says "we don't have any slices" and walks away. I'm completely in aw. Don't ever spend ur money at this location

Pizza is decent but extremely overpriced. They also don't deliver. If you want a large pizza, expect to pay over $30 because they only use Uber eats. Spend your money elsewhere

Pizza is great but deducted points because the cashier girl was pretty rude and short with me when I ordered/had questions. It was not that busy and left a bad taste in my mouth. Will def do delivery despite how close it is to my condo.

Great food (and I have tried a number of different items from their menu). I popped in early this time ( according to the time provided) and my order was already complete. Glad I didn't wait the additional 20 minutes to pick it up. Parking is non-existent.

Tried the Good to Go app today and got a surprise bag from Otto. What a great cheap way to try a new place and reduce waste. The pizza is delicious. I would definitely go back to Otto for a full price order. The only constructive criticism I would have is that it appears to be on a side street not west broadway and we had to ask around to find it.

This location is nowhere near up to snuff compared to the original. Ordered delivery, which was somewhat prompt for a Saturday night, but somehow the pizza was stone-cold. Therefore it was quite hard to enjoy. I've only had slices from the original shop up in Maine, so I was also surprised at how small the large pie was. I can understand the premium on a gourmet pizza, given the supposed quality of the products, but the sizing is way off for the price. And since it came to me at room temperature, I had a hard time tasting the quality.

My boss made an enormous pizza haul from ottos I'm southie earlier this week. The buffalo chicken and avocado pizza was super spicy and the ago was a nice touch to mellow that out a bit. Pepperoni, margherita and the cheese pizza are always solid. Now there's a matter of the bacon/scallion and mashed potato pizza... YUM. Ruined my calorie and carb intake for the day but very much worth it.

I went to college near OTTO pizza and it was my favorite pizza place. I was very excited for it to be open in Southie and being able to get a good different style of pizza. I have ordered from caviar at 7 Pm for a pizza delivery, and have have waited for over an hour for it. I understand that they are slammed, so no problems. However, I called again at 9 pm to check on a pizza and person was very rude to me and just told me it should have been delivered. By 10 pm (4 hours later) OTTO delivered stone cold pizza. And it was also wrong order. Save your money and order form somewhere else.
