Google
Not my favorite pizza ever but it was decent. I had a pear, arugula, blue cheese and a chicken pizza. The crust is super thin and crispy and I prefer mine with thicker and softer but the topping were great!

I’m from Madison, WI visiting with family here in Boston. Ordered this from door dash and although it was VERY expensive, I can tell you it’s a 10/10🤘🏾 the goat cheese on the pepperoni pizza is PHENOMENAL! If I’m back in Boston or know if anyone coming here I will for sure be recommending🔥🔥🔥 best pizza I’ve ever had, we are missing out up north!

Google
Not open until 3, but they will take your order until 3. Don't show up expecting food, they will be rude and instead serve attitude. Why not save everybody trouble and trips by not accepting orders when you stop making food? Sorry for wanting a pizza big back little woman

John Lumiib

Google
Staff greeted and tended to me quick. I let them know that I ordered online and they updated me on my order. The pizza was really good including the crust and it's not greasy like other places.

Google
Got the seasonal red onion, roasted tomato, and cheese pizza - and subbed vegan cheese. Was great! I would’ve preferred a few more tomatoes like the image online had, but no biggie. What was really excellent, though, was Oliver’s customer service. They were killing it. Managing in store orders, 3rd party deliveries, and pick ups. They were being so conscientious and communicative with everyone, it was just excellent. I could tell they were very busy (Friday night) but I was handed a ripping hot pizza two minutes after my pickup time, which, no complaints here.

Google
I ate Otto pizza with my friend and I have never eaten a better pizza in Boston. I ordered the regular cheese pizza and added goats cheese, roasted garlic and hot honey. The pizza arrived earlier than the estimated time and was hot and tasty. The harrison ave Otto's is the best one.

Yesterday I ordered a pizza and an order of breadsticks. It seemed to be taking a while but I didn’t mind. What I minded was that when the pizza was finally ready it wasn’t what I ordered. The woman who took my order was very pleasant and seemed to want to help anyway she could but when she went to speak to the other 2 male workers they began to scream at her and it was very uncomfortable, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. I didn’t know what to do and I felt very bad for the woman. I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. I don’t believe I’ll be coming back anytime soon. This wasn’t the first time I experienced something so out of place at this location

Google
I've been wanting to try this place for weeks... Delicious! When my order got here via DoorDash the pizza was hot out of the oven. When I opened the box I gasped because it looked amazing!

Yelp
I'm so glad this spot is open late! Ink Block is a fun part of town but it's lacking in the late night dining options. Otto to the rescue! Large slices with great crisp and chew to the crust, delicious cheese, and a nice balanced pizza sauce. The plain cheese slice is extremely satisfying. The buffalo chicken has become my favorite, and goes well with their house blue cheese dip. The staff here is fantastic. Prompt service and friendly. The perfect late night munchy kinda place.

Yelp
Ordered a small margherita pizza, came cold and thinner than a piece of paper. Tasted like it as well. Couldn't even spend the time to cut the pizza into slices. Reminded me of a preschool kid making pizza for the first time. Seriously, who do you guys have working there? Will be the last time I order from Otto's, seems like their quality continues to get worse while prices increase. Have had a few orders being completely wrong or having skimped out on the toppings. Either way, you can trust them to mess up your order. Charging 21$+ for a small mediocre specialty pizza is one thing, but the service and quality just doesn't warrant that price. I'd recommend dominos over Otto's. Quality has gone downhill, shouldn't have expanded with all these locations.

Yelp
This is located on the first floor of the 345 Harrison Avenue apartment complex (Washington Street side). It is relatively new and clean. The space itself has tables and chairs for guests to sit and eat. Staff is friendly even though the restaurant itself was very hot. Pizza was thin crust and was huge. I recommend the baked potato pizza ($4.50 w/o tax) and the pepperoni ($4.25 w/o tax). Sausage with onions is good as well. Ingredients were sliced thin and the crust was crisp, but not burnt.

Daniel B.

Yelp
I was asked to write to them and did but no answer back I guess they really don't care if they lose business.

Yelp
This specific Otto's location is very unreliable. It used to be our go-to place in the South End, but after receiving poor quality pizza over multiple visits we gave it a break. We tried it again last night, ordering a basic cheese pizza and one build-our-own with sausage and basil. The basil was missing on the pizza and the sausage was sparse - often doubled up pieces of stacked sausage and not evenly spread out. The cheese pizza was missing the added goat cheese. We paid for two extras and got neither! Very disappointing. Management seems overwhelmed, perhaps understaffed but we won't be back until some really good reviews are here.

Joan G.

Yelp
You know that mouth-watering feeling when you have ordered a pizza to be delivered to your house? And you get lots of texts from Toast showing that your pizza is on its way and finally arriving? And you're watching out the window to make sure you don't miss the driver? Imagine our disappointment when our pizza was never delivered. And our multiple attempts to reach the restaurant or driver by text or phone were completely unsuccessful. Getting a refund was nearly impossible. We were promised a refund twice by email and once on the phone with the restaurant. We finally got our credit card company to claw back the charge. Appalling customer service. I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could.

Joiliana L.

Yelp
I got pepperoni and mushrooms pizza with basil and it was really tasty. I crushed the whole thing haha. The pizza has a nice amount of pepperoni on it and they didn't skimp on the basil. I ordered delivery so I can't speak to the establishment itself or the service, but I would go if I was ever back in Boston.

Carolina A.

Yelp
We ordered thru DoorDash - small pepperoni pizza and tiramisu for dessert. The pizza was ok, nothing special. A little greasy but we were starving. My husband and I only ate half of it. I would skip the almost $10 tiramisu. It was coffee pudding in a cup, not the fluffy confection it supposed to be. I think there are better places in town, but we were too tired to walk and explore Italian options at the North End, and this was fast and closest to our hotel.

Yelp
I've gotten takeout from this location a couple times recently and have noticed that the pizza quality seems to vary quite often. The first time we ordered, I got some cheesy breadsticks and hot honey pepperoni pizza sprinkled with goat cheese. The flavors were unique and meshed surprisingly well together. I wish the breadsticks were more like traditional breadsticks though - it was quite literally just a pizza with cheese and garlic sauce. The second time I visited recently, we ordered the pineapple/pulled pork pizza and another pizza that resembled a "meat lovers" pie. I enjoyed the latter while the former just had a VERY thin crust. I'm pretty sure it wasn't advertised to be that way, so it caught us off guard and just had a very different look and feel in comparison to the other pizza. The worker who cut the pizza also did not do so evenly at all... making some slices extremely tiny while other ones were absolutely huge. Is it still good pizza for the area? Yes, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return anytime soon.

Fiona H.

Yelp
Came here for a #tgtg pickup! It was a full size pizza and still hot!!! Tastes really good! Quick pickup. Love it!

D A.

Yelp
The pizza is just very bad. I can't remember the last time we ordered pizza for a party of adults and kids and one liked it. Literally all kids and parents thought the cheese and pepperoni were gross. Too bad, never again.

Ashley S.

Yelp
It's really hard to find gluten-free and dairy free pizza at pizza places. But Otto has so many selections and options to create your own pizza. I got a ricotta gluten-free pizza with vegan cheese and this was the second time I had the pizza. Both times it was good. The crust was very thin and the cheese was a little skimp, probably since that's how some vegan cheese melts. Next time I will get double crust and cheese.

Matt J.

Yelp
We ordered a large bacon, onion and mushroom pizza to be delivered. It arrived on time but was totally cold, with a hard chewy crust. It didn't taste fresh or have much flavor at all. It's probably the worst pizza I've ever had. I would strongly suggest not ordering from here.

Timothy C.

Yelp
We ordered a pizza and added pulled pork. When the pizza came it had no pulled pork. We called and got the run around. They tried to blame Uber eats . I'm sorry they only deliver , they don't make the pizza and have you ever tried to call Uber eats? Pizza is just ok, wouldn't recommend this place.

Laura E.

Yelp
Stopped in for a slice and garlic sticks. Did not realize "two garlic cheese sticks" meant an entire pizza's worth! Had a slice (very, very large) of the Ricotta and Basil pizza which was very good. The dough was soft and chewy. The garlic cheese bread was also excellent. Lots of cheese, and again, nice and soft, chewy crust. Everything was served quickly and was a very generous amount of food for the money.

Paul M.

Yelp
Paid $4.00 for a slice of stale cheese pizza, and there was barely any cheese or pizza sauce, but it was loaded with too many tomatoes. The crust was the only decent part, but was slightly stale.

Haleigh A.

Yelp
Derek has been a real one at Otto for me since the first time I ordered. I got lost for way too long trying to find it and he did not give up on giving me those directions to make me place and make sure I knew where to go. He and the rest of the staff were more than kind and understanding. Rarely have a restaurant secure that essential first interaction with a customer to ensure they'll come back but this vibe at this location was even better than that. Made you feel like you had already been there a million times and if you hadn't that's cool to! The pizza is above any ice honestly ever tasted. I'm getting daring enough to give some of their specialties a try. New u had to leave a 5 star tonight when Derek and the rest of the crew came through for me to quickly accommodate me to get my pizza t10 mins before closing with no stress or drama involved. For my the food is great because the vibe is top notch on point. Go in for yourself (for me it's late night) and you'll know what I'm saying is accurate! Thanks for being my new go to Otto South End!!

Ian H.

Yelp
OTTO's pizza is always delicious. Hard stop. The one in South End/ Ink Block is always fast (for pick-up, anyway) and the staff is incredibly friendly/ courteous.

Michelle D.

Yelp
Convinced my whole to go cheese pizza was reheated. Also waited longer than people who ordered after me. Too many good options in Boston to waste money on this food.

Kate S.

Yelp
Finally got to try Otto. I got the spicy pulled pork and scallion (do not recommend, not special, taste bad when cold) and hot honey bacon and pineapple (i love pineapples, they give u lots of it, honey is a nice touch). Pizza can't be bad. It was p decent.

Steve C.

Yelp
Tough review to write as we never received the pizza we ordered. We were told that Door Dash was delivering the pizza, received a text message and "tracked" the delivery. We ordered the pizza at 8:04...after several fruitless attempts to communicate with Door Dash and getting what can only be termed a very disrespectful runaround we never received the pizza. I can only assume that since I was naive enough to believe that paying and tipping when we ordered as appropriate, the neither Otto's or Door Dash could care less that we never got our pizza! Less than zero! What a rip off!!

Yelp
With Union Park closing, we've been going to Otto. It's been ok. However, tonight we ordered pizza at 6PM, the app said it backed for 1 hour and 10 minutes, so I called to check on it. The staff told me that my pizza had been in the warming oven for 15 minutes and that they could not give me a delivery estimate because they had no drivers. Yeah, maybe don't take delivery orders if you can't deliver the pizza! Good grief Otto - expand as staffing allows, but don't expand and hope your customers will ignore not actually getting a pizza!

Alex L.

Yelp
Amazing Pizza for a chain based out of Portland Maine.! Great crust, super airy with a FANTASTIC crunch. You fold over or just hold it... keeps its sustainability with AMAZING flavor!!! Fantastic sauce , cheese & dough . Definitely recommend this OTTO to anyone ! ! ! Wow what a great find in Boston just across from Harvard University !

Jason M.

Yelp
Great outpost of our local New England pizza restaurant. Quick, delicious, reasonably priced pizza served by friendly (without being obsequious) staff.

Rocky W.

Yelp
I got some pizza from here tonight to do a movie night with some friends and we were all very disappointed with the poor quality. We ordered the Sriracha Chicken and Avocado and the Buffalo Cauliflower, Scallion, and Blue Cheese Pizzas. Both the pizzas were overcooked and bland. The crust wasn't tasty and the avocado didn't taste fresh and creamy. Also, the pizza felt overpriced as we paid $50 total for both of these pizzas. I expected more from a well known pizza chain.

Jerry A.

Yelp
To be honest the pizza here is great, although I do wish they had more and better beverage options. Other than that it's a great place to sit down for a bit or even order out

Akshay S.

Yelp
Great pizza place. Super friendly staff. Good portions for the money you spend. I love that their pizzas don't have any base sauce which I've always enjoyed. I've had food at this pizza place many times and I've always been more than satisfied. Highly recommend to pizza lovers!

Katie H.

Yelp
I've been a big fan of Otto in Portland for a while and was really happy to hear that a location opened up close to my work. This is a tiny mostly take-out operation, but it does have the same menu as the original Otto. I got a loaded potato slice, and warmed up, it tasted similar to the real thing I get in Portland with plenty of crispy bacon on top. The employees were very nice, and the dining area (a counter with a few chairs) was clean and did the job. It was very empty, but I guess most people aren't aware that this place exists yet. I'm jealous of the people who live nearby who now have a new weeknight takeout option!

Bob D.

Yelp
These guys are always great! Super quick, so easy to order online, pick up in usually 20 mins or less. The pizza has been excellent. Ordered the Marg pizza last time, very good... little soggy in the middle but feel these guys deserve better than 4. And most of the staff is quite nice to interact with especially this last time. I can't recall his name, but very nice and funny,.

Robyn J.

Yelp
We had pizza delivered to our hotel when we were traveling. I needed a gluten free crust and OTTO had the option. I liked the ricotta and sauce clouds on top and the GF crust was really yummy (I like the thin style)! The only problem was that it was cold by the time it got to us, but luckily, this pizza is good cold too! Maybe if delivery is going to take awhile, wait on making the pie accordingly. Either way, we will keep y'all in mind next time we are in the city and consider pick up next time.

Rich K.

Yelp
Fancy looking "joint". Pizza is very average. Got the short rib/potato.....short rib was tasty, good quality beef. That was the high point of that slice. The crust had an "oily" taste and texture overall, so it was consequently lacking in "crunch" factor. Ricotta and Basil pizza was not very interesting. They put globs of sauce on top of the cheese. The sauce tasted like it came out of a can. Crust is very thin. Not bad, but nothing amazing. Employees were chattering about their tip money, so I take it that take-out is their main focus with covid going on. There was no parmesan and no condiments of any kind in the seating area. The drinks were in a freezer and there was no ice.

John J.

Yelp
I love the pizza, LOVE it. That being said, I hate everything about this location. They open later than the postings say, close earlier than the postings, today Saturday, website says they are open til 1am, I go out of my way, find a parking spot which is too much of a pain int the ass to begin with, and they are closed, a sign on the door, looked like crayon. I won't be coming here again.

Aly K.

Yelp
We ordered Otto tonight while we are visiting Boston for two nights. I had been here a few times in Brookline. The pizzas were good and ready very quickly. However, the salad was a complete waste of money. We ordered the Caesar salad and received one without croutons, one of 3 ingredients for a Caesar...so basically for $7, we received lettuce and cheese. There was also barely any dressing given to us. My husband said the restaurant was completely empty so there really isn't an excuse for the lack of attention to details.

Tina I.

Yelp
I was craving some pizza and OTTO was a close walk away. My SO and I bought the pineapple, bacon and hot honey and it was delicious! The pizza was perfectly balanced in salt and sweet. We also ordered the two cheese garlic bread and came with a marinara sauce to dip. My boyfriend really enjoyed that but I was more focused on the pizza. It was about 30 dollars total and we were very full and satisfy afterwards!

Patrick L.

Yelp
Was supposed to be open at 1am. We arrived before midnight and were turned away. Terrible service. When you get service, mediocre pizza.

Hans O.

Yelp
A really good and convenient pizza place. My go to spot when I travel to Boston for family. Good selection and a very interesting list of options. I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to pizza, but my family love all of the unique options available.

Sophia T.

Yelp
BEST gluten free pizza I've had so far in Boston! Good, flavorful crust cooked to perfection. I got the four cheese with roasted garlic and basil and it's amazing.

Anica L.

Yelp
Bacon mashed potato pizza is our go-to and always will be. But we also the courteous staff!

Michael B.

Yelp
We ordered the Veggie with eggplant and ricotta. Outstanding. Delivered warm in less time quoted. Crust was delicious. The ricotta was unreal. Welcome to the south end!!

Kelly T.

Yelp
I love Otto Pizza and this location is no exception. The space is brand new and very clean. There wasn't a lot of seating but that may be because of COVID. I went in for two slices of pizza and they only had four options for slice sales. They had cheese, pepperoni, ricotta & tomato, loaded potato. I wished there were more gourmet options cause I was excited to try something new. But it was probably the best slice of pepperoni pizza I had. I also got the ricotta pizza and it was very good I was just a little surprised by how sweet the ricotta was. I love how fresh and crispy the pizza was right out of the oven. Oh and the best part is that they are open until 12 midnight. I know I will be frequenting here.

Chad R.

Yelp
Everything was ready when it said it would be so didn't have to wait past the recommended window of time provided in the app (this has been an issue before). Our pizzas were hot and flavorful with the toppings evenly dispersed. We'd never had the meatballs before, but they were spicy and cooked perfectly with just the right amount of sauce. This visit reminded us of why we love Ottos and we look forward to our next visit.

Sarah O.

Yelp
I am gluten free and they have exceptional gluten free options. I couldn't recommend OTTO more! I can't believe it's not more popular because it's the best pizza chain I've ever ordered from!

Stone S.

Yelp
My partner and I have ordered Otto's a couple times through Uber Eats. My partner is very allergic to dairy, so I always order her a pizza with vegan cheese. 2/3 times we have ordered Otto's they have delivered us a pizza with regular cheese. This is unacceptable since there is a serious allergy involved. It would be one thing if they did not fulfill the order but instead they deliver the "vegan" pizza with regular cheese. This is a serious safety hazard that has occurred multiple times. We will not be ordering from Otto's pizza again and strongly encourage others with food allergies to avoid them as well.

Imran K.

Yelp
The pizza was alright. For the price tag I expected a little more. I recommend trying this place out for yourselves because you may enjoy it.

Peter M.

Yelp
Love this place. 3rd time coming here since they opened. the staff is friendly and the pizza is always great. definitely coming back!!!

Mark B.

Yelp
We ordered pizza and Caesar salads at 6:09 pm on a Saturday to be delivered. The time given for arrival was 7:08. I called at 7:15 and spoke with Mario. One of the drivers called in and so they had one delivery person. I was reassured that the order was on it's way. I called back at 7:45 and it was with the driver. ( Mind you we live less than 1 mile from the restaurant. We usually pick it up, but it was a cold night. ) I thought that delivery would assure it would arrive at least somewhat hot. It arrived at 7:57, 49 minutes after the scheduled delivery time and almost two hours after ordering. The pizza was barely warm and the driver said that he wasn't given any Caesar salads, but he could bring them back...I promptly called Mario back and told him that we didn't get our salads, and he said that he would credit my credit card. Well it has been a couple of weeks later, and still NO CREDIT issued. On the website there is no "contact us" , so I tried through yelp to reach the owner.. still no response. Therefore I am leaving this feedback. I don't really like to leave negative feedback, because everyone has a bad day. With COVID, workers don't want to show up to work, so you really can't take it out on the workers who do. We love the food from here, but I am not sure if I would order from them again, after this incident. So Disappointing! The food is good and if you order from them, pick it up, and make sure that you get your full order while you are paying. Lesson learned!

Jasmine F.

Yelp
There are much better food options in Boston, so do waste your time on this place. The restaurant was not clean, I had difficulty finding any place to sit that wasn't co weed in crumbs. The cashier was incompetent and just not well versed on the pizza options. He also was unwilling to locate shredded cheese (packets or any kind). Lastly, I was even more disappointed in my food once he got my order right, because it was freezing cold. Just save your money and order Pizza Hut!
