"Otto has a number of locations around the greater Boston area, including this full-service one in Coolidge Corner and others that offer counter-service. Most of the pies can be served with a 12-inch gluten-free crust, including the New Haven-inspired favorite topped with mashed potato and bacon. The restaurants recommend this option for diners with a sensitivity to gluten but caution that the pizzas are not recommended for people with celiac disease." - Celina Colby, Eater Staff

OTTO Pizza on Harvard Ave in Brighton is known for its inventive pizzas. Their unique combinations, like the Hot Honey, Cup & Char Pepperoni & Goat Cheese, are a highlight. The spicy-sweet honey, savory pepperoni, and tangy goat cheese create a memorable experience. Other adventurous options we have had on previous visits include mashed potato, bacon, and scallion. Service can be inconsistent, ranging from fast-and-friendly to meh. However, food delivery is generally quick, making it a good choice for fast meals or late-night cravings. If you value unique pies and can overlook occasional service issues, OTTO is worth visiting. One order of Stuffed Jalapeno Peppers, one order of Two-Cheese Garlic Sticks with House-Made Pomodoro Sauce, one Small Hot Honey, Cup & Char Pepperoni & Goat Cheese, one Small Meatball, Ricotta & Basil, one Maine Lunch beer, two Pint Mexican Lagers- $83.99 before tip

Google
One cannot simply put raw eggplant slices on pizza and hope it will work out! Had to pick out the gross half-raw chewy vegetable pieces before I could eat that. Otherwise pizza tasted very good, but please learn how to cook an eggplant or take that shameful pizza off the menu

Google
So so pizza and not worth the price. Got a large pepperoni with onions and green peppers. And there was no sauce! Dough tasted like generic pizza joint. I used to like OTTO thought I’d give another go since Stoked doesn’t use full pepperonis. But learned my lesson I’ll be headed back to Stoked. Better dough, toppings, sauce

Jose Camacho

Google
I used to love Otto's, but the quality has gone downhill. My takeout vegan pizza looked like they just poured liquid cheese and boxed it in a hurry. Barely any pepperonis and tasteless peppers.

Google
Good pizza as always. The consistency between stores is nice. This location has a dine-in option, but requires you to order a whole pie. If you’re interested in the per-slice you’ll have to sit at the bar. The bar is very comfortable and had good amount of seating. Had the margarita, eggplant and ricotta pizza, and the ricotta chicken pizza. All were great but the best flavor was the ricotta chicken and onion. The margarita could have used more basil.

Google
One of the best pizzas I've had! Flavours are so rich and creative, got a half half pizza, loved the buffalo chicken blue cheese scallion pizza! Service was spot on and friendly!

Vikramsingh Nimbalkar

Google
These guys make amazing pizzas. We had buffalo chicken and spinach, Kalamata olives with roasted garlic. Every food item was delicious and used in balanced with another ingredient. The base is not too thick and not too thin also. The vibe of restaurant is pretty good and service too.

Google
Super busy and cramped when we went on Saturday night but the food was incredible! Pizza wasn't as hot as I would have liked but other than that I had a great experience. Our server check up on us frequently and was very nice. It smells amazing inside!

Yelp
Otto is a great takeout spot for pizza and I recently went to sit down at the Coolidge Corner location. It was lunchtime so not too busy. One thing that I noticed was that we were sat at the only table in the restaurant that was dirty, and when we were sat she noticed it and still sat us there anyways. Not a huge deal but probably could've been handled better and is also kind of gross. Otto has become one of my new favorite pizza places since it has unique pizzas and they're all amazing. I got the potato bacon scallion pizza and the cup pepperoni goat cheese and hot honey pizza. Both were amazing but I think the pepperoni was my favorite. I loved the potato pizza but I find with all potato pizzas that they're lacking flavor. The scallion flavor doesn't really come through at all. I think this one would benefit from having the hot honey as well (but I think all pizzas would!). The pepperoni with goat cheese and hot honey was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I love the goat cheese and hot honey and the crusts are thin so it's just amazing. I forget what our servers name was but he was very friendly and recommended the pepperoni one to us. They have a good but short list of draft beers and ciders and I think it would be a nice place to eat around dinner time. I will definitely be ordering from Otto again!

Yelp
If you're looking for a casual pizza spot in Brookline, I would certainly recommend giving OTTO a try! Otto offers salads, starters, and pizzas. They also offer a small dessert menu. They do offer a "kids size" pizza and they also offer a "gluten-free" crust pizza! For those who are vegan, they DO offer vegan cheese. For full disclosure, they do have multiple locations in New England. I have noticed consistency issues between different stores. However, today was a solid experience! We decided to swing by after doing a little July 4th shopping. We have ordered their pizza many times before. Our main complaint was the sauce was never consistent, usually a bit acidic. That doesn't seem to be an issue at this location, more on that later! We decided to kick off the meal with some white wine & their "House Salad". The salad was fresh and delicious! The wine pour was generous and reasonably priced. The salad has a fresh lettuce mix, juicy tomatoes, crispy cucumber, red pepper, and onion. It is served with a Red Wine Vinaigrette. The portion size is generous, great for two to share- if you plan to order additional food. No wilted greens or any issue. Incredibly fresh. Next, we noticed multiple tables ordering the meatballs. We have not tried those before. To say they were disappointing would be an understatement. The meatballs are pork & beef based and they are served in pomodoro sauce. We found the meatballs both dry and almost tough in a sense. The meat was almost chewy. They also lacked seasoning and flavor. I would likely skip these next time. The main headliner here is clearly the pizza! Our favorite is the 12" Pepperoni and Fresh Mushroom Pizza. No canned mushrooms. Hand-sliced. The crust is baked perfectly and is thin, crispy, with the right amount of chew. I am from Chicago and I'm particular about my pizza. We did request easy sauce this time around. The consistency was also much better. I do wish other locations were as consistent. The sauce was perfect and not too acidic or overpowering. The cheese was perfectly melted and the pepperoni was perfect, not too greasy like many pizza joints! We usually get the 12" if we plan to get other items. You get six slices. If you plan to just have pizza, I'd suggest the 16". You get twelve slices. I also highly suggest ordering a side of ranch for dipping. The crust is amazing but the ranch just takes it to another level! It's homemade, not out of a jar or bottle. You have to try it, it's hard to put into words! The service was phenomenal and incredibly quick. Be ready to eat as soon as you order, the kitchen and servers are incredibly efficient! THIS LOCATION in particular is phenomenal and we will certainly be back! The place is usually very busy given the location. However, they move the tables fairly quickly. It's also a solid takeout or delivery choice. The ambience is casual- however it can get a bit loud when they're at capacity. One of my go-to pizza spots in Boston!

Yelp
I had heard about Otto and made a reservation on a Saturday night. Good thing I did because this place was hopping. We walked from home, however there was plenty of parking to be had. The inside was a traditional young professional pizzeria and you felt like a regular as soon as you walked in. The menu was short and simple but still loaded with several great options that tested your decision making skills. We opted for a six meatball and sauce appetizer, followed by a gluten free cheese, pepperoni and wild mushroom, and a tortellini pizza. We couldn't eat it all and it made a great Sunday breakfast. Service was great, constantly cycling by the table with refills and checking on us. This was a relaxing night out for some simple, great tasting food and conversation. You can't go wrong with Otto!

Jackson G.

Yelp
Their pizzas are very good, they have a lot of different types of topping which is really nice. A good go to pizza place when I find one

Dominique O.

Yelp
This specific Otto location is very spacious and it has a fun vibe as well. My favorite pizza is the baked potato/bacon one-so yummy! The spicy pulled pork pizza is yummy but there isn't very much pork on the pizza. I'd suggest paying extra for double pork if you order this specific pizza. The fresh lemonade is very good as well as are the meatballs and Tiramisu.

Kelsey S.

Yelp
Grabbed some pizza after a movie at the theatre across the street. Ordered a slice of the speciality mashed potato pizza, the Cobb salad, and the large sausage and onion pizza. The mashed potato pizza was interesting but don't think I could have eaten more than a couple bites since it was loaded with scallions. The sausage on the pizza had great flavor and I liked that it was sliced instead of crumbles. Overall all the food was great and it was a pleasant dining experience.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Quick stop for some pretty tasty pizza. I love all the fun mixtures of toppings and the half/half option. Tried the sausage and onion pizza which was great and the pepperoni which was also pretty good. Ill be back to try more!

Annika P.

Yelp
I got the French onion special and it honestly wasn't as good as I was expecting but the other pies looked pretty good. I liked the ambiance also the server was really nice.

Katie E.

Yelp
Otto is pretty much a New England staple at this point and it's miles ahead of a lot of other casual pizza chains. They have really creative topping combinations, so it's become my go-to when I'm in the mood for something more interesting than your traditional Italian options. Most recently we stopped in for a couple of slices and beers while waiting for an appointment in the area. The outdoor tables at this location are dog friendly which is always a plus for me, but I will say that the tables are right in the middle of a busy sidewalk so if your pup is on the reactive side, this might not be the place for you. We picked two options from the by-the-slice menu: the Mashed Potato, Bacon and Scallion (good, but a little on the bland side) and the Pepperoni, Hot Honey and Goat Cheese (soooo tasty, this one's a must try). Service was pretty quick and it was nice and quiet around lunch time. Had to give this place 4 stars compared to some of the other A+ pizza in Boston (looking at you Regina's, Ernesto's, etc.) but it is really good overall so it's worth experimenting with some of their more creative pizzas. It's a great go-to for a quick causal bite or takeout if you're in the neighborhood.

Melanie H.

Yelp
I always pass by this place before work and it has such a fun ambiance to it that I finally went with a friend. They advertise Maine style pizza, and being someone that's moved to the east coast recently, I knew I had to know what that meant. They had such unique and fun pizza flavors and I got the mashed potato, scallion, and bacon bits pizza which honestly was so good I'm surprised I don't see it as a flavor for all pizza places. I love that they make such fun and seasonal ideas and I afraid to be creative about it! Would recommend if you're looking for a quick bite or cheap eat! I know it sure too a pizza my heart!

Julie G.

Yelp
Always a great meal with fabulously helpful and engaging staff. Great for both dine in and takeout- either while pies or a quick slice

Corkie B.

Yelp
Came in for lunch. Service was friendly and attentive and the pizza is so good. I got the mashed potato bacon and my husband got the tortellini. While we didn't need it on a Thursday afternoon it's nice you can make a reservation at this casual spot.

Mariam T.

Yelp
Honestly my favorite pizza to eat. It always tastes amazing. I was unhappy with the service however, and I know this is a few weeks too late but here goes. I haven't had Otto pizza in 6 years and I was looking forward to my first visit back. I ordered for pickup through UberEats while I was grocery shopping. I parked and went inside, and when I gave the hostess my name, the girl couldn't find my order. She then looked at one of her tablets and saw the order (which she probably never checked) and the order never went to the kitchen. She apologized and said it would be "just another 10 minutes", never telling me what went wrong. I checked my app and it finally updated to show that the kitchen was getting my order ready. About 30 min go by and I'm still sitting, while my groceries are baking in my car. My mom and daughter were waiting for me at home too, which was another hour drive. Obviously this isn't the kitchen's fault, I know good pizza doesn't take a few minutes to cook, but the hostess should not say it would be 10 min. I see my pizza boxes with my name on it and it gets placed on the shelf behind the counter. I waited to see if any of the workers would check or not. 2 of the hostesses were just chatting and on their phones. Another 10 minutes passed and they still weren't paying any attention to them. I was frustrated and annoyed with their lack of attentiveness and professionalism. I've worked in the food industry before and my managers would not allow that kind of work ethic. I haven't gone back since but I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Yelp
OTTO always hits the spot, whether you're looking for a slice or a whole pie. OTTO has really inventive pies along with the classics, all made beautifully. The crust is always chewy and flavorful; not too thin. The wood and brick of the restaurant is so comforting and homey, it just enhances the whole experience. Eat there if you can! Make a reservation if you're going in the evenings or on the weekends.

Luisely D.

Yelp
Honestly the pizza was really good, but the service was not so good. Boyfriend ordered a pizza and we planned to pick up and leave. When we got there one employee said we could take a seat if we wanted. We sat down and then a random employee rushed up to us and told us to leave. He told us they were too busy and that we didn't have a reservation and to come back "literally another day". I found this a little rude but we apologized and left.

Christine V.

Yelp
This was my second visit to Otto, my first to this location. I have to say it didn't live up to my first experience at the Harvard Square location which was perfection. I ordered a slice of the meatball pepper and onion and while tasty it wasn't very hot temp/wise and toppings were skimpy. I ordered another slice this time the roasted tomato red onion mozzarella and asked for it to be heated more which it was but again hardly any toppings - I would have loved more onion and the tomatoes didn't seem like they were roasted. And then I was shorted $2 in my change - mistake? So I probably won't try this location again.

Marlene A.

Yelp
otto's never misses! i love their pear pizza, it's to die for! they are also very accommodating with allergies (tested nuts, dairy, eggs, sesame) and you can still have a delicious pizza. this location is close to other cute places to visit and look around, with a huge window to people watch through!

Reggie W.

Yelp
Cool down to earth hang out pizza spot with large slices and a eclectic beer menu. I came here on a Friday night at 9ish and it was mostly empty. Capacity is probably around 60 to 70, but only 10 people were seated. I believe earlier in the evening it was fairly busy. I'm not huge on the prim and proper "real" pizza. Something you might find on the north end. I like the sloppy cheesy ones you'll find at the hole in the wall spots where they have two tables and you have to clean up after the person before you. Otto has those slices but in a much nicer venue. I love that I can sit at the bar, order a couple of slices and beers and hang out for a bit. Friendly service, large cheesy slices and excellent craft beer. Would come back again and again!

Jalen R.

Yelp
This is by far the best pizza I have had. Always get it when I'm near the main location. Service is always pretty good and never super crowded. Pizza toppings are incredible and pizza cooked perfectly. Pizza also always comes piping hot. Would recommend if you want to eat some of the best food in the world.

Jake C.

Yelp
Best and most consistent pizza in the area! Definitely on the more expensive side, but it's a unique treat to get every once in a while. The service is usually pretty good. After waiting for over an hour for our pizza and it coming out wrong multiple times, our entire order was comped without asking. Cater to gluten and dairy allergies with good tasting alternatives.

Ellen Z.

Yelp
Loved the pizza best when warm and eating sit down The ricotta and basil is my fav and would recommend given how smooth it goes down but once cooled can be a big oily The all meat one was too salty for my likening and needed to drink tons of water but would recommend if you want lots of meat Small half and half enough for 2 girls

Dan D.

Yelp
My friends and I started our Otto journey by trying to open both doors to the restaurant at 1 PM on a cold holiday Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Hilariously, both doors were locked. Employees saw us trying to enter (through the glass) and hurriedly came to unlock the doors. I felt seen by the eclectic and inventive menu. There were plenty of veggie options, and you can't accidentally order a white pizza because they mark which ones come with tomato sauce. We went with manchego, mushrooms, and herbs, which you'll see in the attached picture. We were a bit surprised that it also came with mozzarella. We liked it. We got good tomato sauce distribution and a thin, crispy crust, the kind that is only possible when you have a truly hot pizza oven. For my taste, I would've liked a bit more texture in the toppings, and a bit more doughy flavor, but that's not why I'm only giving 4 stars. I think my rating should signal that you'd like this place, but it wouldn't blow your mind. Note that they sell pizza by the slice for takeout, too.

John M.

Yelp
Went and got the mashed potato pizza... Flavor was delicious! People were there too were super helpful and friendly

Angel X.

Yelp
Big fan, last time I was here, I didn't get to try their world famous pizza... So this time, you already know what the deal was! My lady and I got a half/half pizza w/ Mushroom & Garlic on one side and Bacon & Greens on the other. When I say you need to come here and get the favorites, that's no joke! Take their recommendations and have your way..! If drinking is your thing, please try their draft beer cause they have come eclectic options that taste wonderful. If you're doing takeout, double check your order with the host cause last time we ordered in person she kinda mess up our order.. pizza was still fire but def wasn't what we asked for Will be back, can't wait for the next visit!

Edward W.

Yelp
I haven't tried Otto for a few years and since I was craving for pizza, I decided to try this place again. I ordered the two cheese garlic breadsticks, a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and the tiramisu for dessert. Omg, the order of garlic breadsticks was huge! It was like a pizza itself. The asiago and mozzarella breadsticks came with a side of pomodoro sauce. It was yummy. The pepperoni and mushroom pizza was also really good. It was thin and not as doughy as the breadsticks. The tiramisu came inside a circular cup. It was good but I prefer tiramisu having a more cakey consistency than like a pudding.

Max W.

Yelp
So let me get this straight: I order at the bar or from a server even though there's a counter person with many pizzas behind him? I can't order a slice without leaving a 20% tip? That's your scheme? Save your money and go elsewhere

Melena S.

Yelp
Awful experience on Saturday, December 23, 2022 around 8:30-9pm ish. I've never been so I wasn't sure whether Otto was a sit down restaurant or a place I ordered at the counter. We weren't greeted, ever. But other people were. After not being tended to for a few minutes, I asked someone who seemed to be a host of some sort if this was a sit down or if we'd order from the counter. It's a sit down. They told us the dining area had a wait but the bar was open so we headed to the bar. The bar was freshly vacant but had not been cleaned yet so the host offered to have it cleaned before we sat there. The bartender lets us know they'll clean the bar, we nod, say thank you, and sit down once they're done. Then a party of two sits down at the bar. Then a party of one sits down at the bar. The bartender greets the two other parties and hands them menus. But not my party of two, despite us being there first and having had contact with each other prior to sitting down. So weird but maybe they'll get to us. No. They pour glasses of water for the two other parties and tend to other orders. Still no menus. No greeting. No acknowledgment despite them being aware that we are there. They talk to the other parties and still no menus or acknowledgment. It's hard to not feel like it has something to do with us being Black and brown people when the other patrons were white. The pizza looked good but it was hard to want to stay in a place that was treating us like that while treating others so well right in front of us. The bartender knew we were there, they talked to us when the host asked if they could clean the bar for us to sit there. To blatantly ignore us, two Black and brown people, knowing we were there but to be so attentive to the other patrons that were white, it's hard to believe it wasn't for that reason alone. Horrible horrible experience. I love Coolidge Corner but very disappointed an establishment that condones such behavior is located there.

Amanda K.

Yelp
When in Boston means making a trip to one of my fav pizza joints! Tried Otto's for the first time in 2016 and have not forgotten about her since. Today I tried the Ricotta & Basil along with perhaps my fav pizza EVER; the Mashed Potato Bacon Scallion pizza!! The Ricotta & Basil pizza was good - the tomato sauce was tangy and the basil was fresh, but wish it had more ricotta. However, the absolute star of the show was the Mashed Potato Scallion pizza - yummy lil chunks of bacon, perfect bites of scallion, and heavenly little pockets of creamy mashed potatoes, sooo yummy. Def come here for a casual night out or for a quick slice of deliciousness cuz you can never go wrong with pizza and beer :P

Eileen M.

Yelp
Otto's in Brookline is within easy walking distance. It was super convenient to order what we wanted online and get there 2 minutes after the time that the website said it would be ready and pick up our Pizza. Besides convenience, the Pizza was EXCELLENT!!! We've been there several times and have never been disappointed.

Kelly S.

Yelp
I went in for a late dinner last night. I wasn't really feeling like having pizza but something told me to go in there and there wasn't much open at this time besides this and Taco Bell. It was the best decision I've made this year! The pizza was phenomenal you can taste the delicious smoked flavors so fresh out of the oven, the salad was out of this world and the cookie was freshly baked and warm. But the food wasn't the best thing. The waitress LYDIA had the most infectious disposition. She was amazingly personable. So hospitable i felt like i was chatting and hanging with an old friend. Please come here if you want good food, a good time and great personnel. You will see me again next time I'm in town. Thanks again Lydia.

Yelp
Met a couple friends here with their baby kid for lunch and as soon as that's mentioned, you know this place is family and baby friendly. Atmosphere was spacious and our waiter was attentive, although our drinks arrived closer to the time when our pizza arrived (wished the drinks arrived slightly earlier). Can't really go wrong with their pizza selections and combinations of ingredients they have. So we ordered two large - Spicy Pulled Pork, Pepperoni, Bacon & Sausage and the Fresh Mushrooms, Manchego & Herb. I'll have to tell you that the spicy pulled pork had the right amount of spice, meatiness so that the mushrooms, manchego and herb perfectly complemented. The reason being the meat pizza was decadent and the latter was lighter with a cleaner flavor that if you eat the former then the latter and repeat, it just works so well. Have to say the crust was thin and crisp with a nice short chew. Both pizzas were devoured satisfactorily without hesitation.

Jenny T.

Yelp
Food: I LOVE OTTO. I've been to Harvard Square and this location and seriously some of the best pizza I've had. I love their thin crust, good portion sizes, and if you have leftovers, you can heat them up. Also their garlic sticks... YUM. Even their seasonal salad was good. Although it is pricey pizza though but good treat once in a while. Store: The Coolidge Corner location is fun, LOVE the Trader Joe's there :)

Judie K.

Yelp
Whenever I am in the mood for some pizza, Otto is my go to! I have been getting the Mashed Potato, Bacon and Scallion Pizza every time I come here and it never disappoints. Sometime I would get half a pizza of that type then the other half would be the sriracha chicken and avocado pizza, which is also really delicious and flavorful. This time, I tried the fresh Pineapple, Bacon and Hot Honey Pizza (substituted bacon for pepperoni) and it was amazing! Love the hot honey kick and we wanted to trade the bacon for pepperoni since we like pepperoni too, and there was already bacon on the mashed potato pizza so we wanted something different. It costs 50 cents to change out an ingredient which isn't too bad. We usually bring our friends who are visiting out of town here, and everyone has been thoroughly enjoying.

Ben N.

Yelp
When you've got a motley crew like we had on this evening--a group that included a 10-year-old, a developmentally-disabled adult, and a friend with a gluten allergy, and then never mind the wife and me--and no car immediately available, you ought to thank your lucky stars for a place like Otto. It checked all the boxes for our group, at least in pencil. And this location is a pleasant one--comfortable seating, music that's not too loud, decent service, and a location at a relatively interesting commercial corner. But I thought the pizza was only pretty good. The thin-ish crust was a bit pedestrian--not much textural variation or flavor to it, and on this occasion at least, the kitchen was sorta skimpy with the tomato sauce, which was rather spottily dappled about. (I see that folks on Yelp seem to be enthused about Otto's creative topping combinations here, but that stuff doesn't usually interest me all that much unless you get the basic pizza building blocks lined up right.) Not exactly economical, either. Five stars for the very specific purpose of providing a difficult group a suitable dining option on a summer Sunday evening, but I honestly can't get this rating up to four stars for the pizza, which ought to be the dominant criterion here.

Ben S.

Yelp
This pizza. It's good if you eat in. For takeout and delivery the only way I could describe it is 'lazy'. This is a damn shame because the ingredients are top tier. Check out this slice to see what I'm talking about. 2.5" of crust because f*** it. Undercooked. Really disappointing stuff. So much potential but not willing to put in the extra 25 seconds to make the za sing. Bummer.

Han + Van C.

Yelp
We went on a Thursday night and were seated right away. We ordered a 12" Spinach, Olive, and Garlic Pizza and a 16" half Pepperoni & mushroom and half Margherita. The crust was nice and crispy with a good chew. It came out fast and hot! We got some nice cheese pulls from our first bites. The ingredients tasted fresh. Our only complaints were that it was a bit greasy and we had to add extra seasonings for our taste preferences. We don't know really what Portland style pizza is so we can't say if it holds up to the title LOL. Our server, Emily, was really nice and checked in on us + offered suggestions. Overall, we had a good time! It was a step up from the large delivery places and more affordable than North End places.

Katie E.

Yelp
Honestly was our favorite pizza in Boston! Great slice of cheese and had a few other fun flavors.

Kim G.

Yelp
Food is a 5. Service was awful. I was there for an early lunch, so I was the only one at the bar. Brought food and wine and never checked in with me. When I ordered a second slice (land a glass of wine (via the hostess not the server), they never took away the used paper plate and used wine glass. Just left it there with the dirty napkins and didn't give me a clean napkin. I would understand but I was the only one at the bar--they were just busy socializing with each other. And in the totally gross category, the male server was standing at the edge of the kitchen picking his teeth with a toothpick. Folks,if you have an open kitchen, behaviors that are private should be kept private. I tipped because people are trying to make ends meet, but I'm not sure I would be back for sanitary reasons.

Christine B.

Yelp
Really solid place for some good ole pizza!! I've been here a couple of times and the pizza has never failed me. During my last visit I got a margherita slice and a lobster, bacon, and scallion slice (one of their specials for the month)--both were super tasty and the crust has a nice crunch to it. I think my two pizza slices perfectly describes what this place has to offer: your classic pizzas as well as some interesting combos of toppings (come on, lobster + bacon on a pizza?? what a genius idea!!). That means you'll always find something that will tickle your fancy, so you really can't go wrong with coming here. Keep in mind that this place is usually really busy, so do yourself a favor and make a reservation to ensure the smoothest of visits.

Alyssa R.

Yelp
New app is absolutely, inexcusably horrible. Not only did I lose my points and rewards when the new app was released, but I also lost my ability to order "delivery". Any time I log into the app it only allows pickup orders. I had to reset my password to access my account, and even then it took me ages to find the page where I enter my confirmation code. Honestly, with the price increase and hassle of the new app I won't be ordering from here again. I like the pizza, but now it's impossible to order takeout as someone who lives in Allston, and almost impossible to navigate the app. Fix this.

Yelp
We did a togo order. The menu had delicious pizzas and the ability to customize any of the pizzas was fantastic. When we arrived for pick up we were greeted with welcoming smiles. We asked for a side of their delicious ranch of which they were more than happy to share. Overall it was a great experience.

Yelp
We love Otto's. The pizzas with lots of veggie options and the salads are great, as is the staff. A fun beer list (more dark beer choices are always welcomed). Thanks for adding to the Brookline vibe!

Yelp
Ordered ricotta and basil pizza, a re-order from a previous great pizza. Added sausage (extra cost) and extra red sauce this time, unfortunately they were not added, but still a great pizza and friendly service. Will be back!

Yelp
I will alway recommend Ottos however I will not recommend this one! I walked in to get my order, the cashier who had been helping customers stood off to the side and ignored me. After about 10 minutes of waiting the host came and assisted me with getting my online order. As a person who works in hospitality industry, racism or assumptions based on skin color is not something that should be tolerated.

Yelp
Honestly when they first opened the pizza was delicious. That is no longer the case. They seem to have changed a lot of their ingredients over the years bringing down the overall quality of the pizza. We ordered a chicken pineapple bacon and honey pizza, which admittedly was better than I was expecting, I just wished that they used actual bacon instead of bacon bits. The margherita pizza was bland and lacking in flavor and they used grated mozzarella instead of fresh chunks which was rather disappointing. And lastly the spicy pulled pork, pepperoni, and sausage pizza was so littered with pepperoni and not enough pulled pork that I may as well just have ordered a pepperoni pizza as that's all I could taste. Staff was pleasant, nice, little spread out but otherwise no issues there. And lastly the table was sticky, most likely either needs to be refinished or simply just needs a new table.

Yelp
It was great experience. I did take out on Sunday night. I was so busy. I arrived and pizza was not ready. we decided to wait outside. Once pizza was ready, cashier came to deliver in front of the restaurant. The pizza was perfectly made. I order large half/half. On the app, they did not have function for this. I noted on special instruction. They made it exactly what I want. Thank you so much!!!

Yelp
Solid four star pizza with quality ingredients...from the meat selection and extra ricotta...

Yelp
Literally the best pizza I've ever eaten in my entire life. Also yummy hard cider on tap which is always a plus. GF and DF options are good too!

Yelp
One of our friends is from Portland, Maine. She was excited to see that we had OTTO's and recommended a Mash potato with bacon and scallion pizza. Food: The pizza was a little dry, but I liked the combination of mash potato with bacon and scallion as it's a really unusual combination on a pizza. Next time I wish I would've added ranch to enhance the pizza. Service: We went mid March before the quarantine. Upon walking in with my group as we were all Asian was so awkward because they made us feel really awkward. Every worker stared at us and made us really uncomfortable. Overall: I think I would like to give OTTO's another try.
