When our first option for dinner had a 45 minute wait, we decided not to risk the wait given that we had a show later that night we were attending over at The Mirage. A quick check of OpenTable brought us a handful of options, one of which was Trattoria Reggiano.
We were already familiar with the restaurants in this area of the Grand Canal Shoppes from previous visits and navigated our way over to them with just one wrong turn!
Our server, Alyssa, I believe, was friendly and efficient, getting us in and out with almost too much time to spare. The meal started with some delicious garlic bread, olive oil, and balsamic. It was fantastic bread, though I do wish it was served warm. That would have been enough to bump this up to five stars, it was that good.
My love had the chicken alfredo and said it was very good. I went with the carbonara--why don't more places offer this?--and it was okay. Not great, but not horrible, either. The sauce was a bit too light and as a result. the entire dish was lacking in flavor. The pancetta, however, was quite good, and the peas tasted very fresh.
Only other detraction was the loud, blaring music from the Lobster Me! place across the way. The ambiance of this cute little bistro is totally taken over by the music, which is decidedly not Italian.
