I've been loving on OTTO since the day they were born, but I gotta be honest: I kind of forget that this location exists. For me, OTTO is:
1. The other Congress St location (because it's the original, and ohhhhhhhhhh the memories I have - and the money I spent at 2am - eating huge slices of 'za here)
2. John Roberts Rd, because it's my favorite indoor location (though they've gotten rid of their indoor bocce and that's a huge bummer)
3. Online (a) love that you can track the progress of your pizza!, b) if you haven't joined their rewards program - GET ON THAT!)
So... I don't come here; I think it's a much more convenient spot if you live in the East End or are spending time in this area as a visitor/tourist. But, it's still great. The staff is always super friendly, there's plenty of seating, a great selection of local beers (and wines to choose from), and they have an expanded menu including fries (which are actually DELISH and abundant at just $5 or $6; for sure get the sriracha mayo for dipping!) and Detroit style pizza, which is possibly the only disappointing OTTO pizza I've ever had - it's "deep dish", but it was mostly thick, dry dough when I had it. So, I'll agree with others, it just leaves a lot to be desired.
So glad they continue to create unique flavor combinations, and YAY for bringing back cauliflower as an option. Now... where'd the roast garlic cloves go?!?
