Oude Werf Hotel

Absolutely outstanding stay at Oud Werf — 10/10. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is exceptional and really sets it apart. Breakfast is truly to die for and was a highlight of our stay. The location couldn’t be better: perfectly positioned for exploring Stellenbosch, with easy access to fantastic restaurants, cafés, and shops right on your doorstep. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful, refined, and effortless. Highly recommended — we would not hesitate to return. Staff were professional and very helpful for any matter. Our room was large, luxurious and very comfortable with a great balcony.

One of those boutique hotels that one is constantly searching for when travelling. Quietly charming, soft historic luxury, light & airy and situated in a quaint Stellenbosch street with access to excellent cafes and restaurants. All the staff are incredibly dedicated to making your stay extra special. From the valet to breakfast staff. Good breakfast variety and much appreciated, a proper barista to make your speciality coffee. We spent one night there in a well appointed room and would not hesitate to return next time we are in Stellenbosch

We stayed six nights at this central Stellenbosch hotel.|Our room (317) overlooked the pool and was well laid out, bright and airy. Separate bath tub and walk in rain shower and plenty of storage space.|The balcony is ideal for relaxing and housekeeping was exemplary with daily replenishment of water and tea and coffee.|Service was friendly throughout and your car is valet parked in the underground garage.|Breakfast is excellent with a very wide choice.|An ideal spot for a stay in central Stellenbosch and one we will return to.

What a beautiful and cozy hotel! We were welcomed with big smiles and a class of sherry with some warm towels. Breakfast was awesome and the bed was sooooo comfy. We would definitely stay there again when we are back in Stellenbosch

Excellent location in the heart of the town but designed in such away that you feel you are secluded from the bustle of life surrounding the hotel. ||Travelled to the area with my wife and stayed at the hotel for two nights. Hotel is beautiful and is both luxurious and homely at the same time. Staff were amazing, particularly “Hilton” who was the valet Parker/porter who provided the warmest of welcome. Rental car was parked securely off the road in an underground car park during our stay for no additional cost ||Room matched the rest of the hotel and was immaculate in its presentation and cleanliness. The room was quiet and we were not disturbed at all by the comings and goings of staff and other customers. The. Hotel has a lovely courtyard where breakfast is served and a perfectly adequate outside pool. ||The hotel was only a 12 min taxi ride from the main vineyards for an amazing days wine tasting.

Really nice hotel for first timers in Stellenbosch. We stayed here for three nights, room was really cosy, bed was huge and really comfy. Location was great with lots of options for food within walking distance. Everyone from front desk to restaurant was really polite, housekeeping didnt miss a beat, our room was immaculate every day. Really enjoyed our stay here!

Very traditional hotel values. Valet parking and reception staff who will look after you personally. We had a road facing room which whilst spacious I felt the inclusion of a desk across the room to be rather large. Not much space between the end of the bed and the sharp corners! |The breakfast and dinners that we had were excellent.

Nice and very central place to explore the town. The rooms (we had a Plenty room) aren’t particularly big, but comfortable. The breakfast service was excellent and the staff friendly throughout the property. With the central location, everything was in easy walking distance. The car is parked for you and magically reappears at the front door at checkout time, without having to ask. The water temperature in our shower kept changing, so we had to shower with care. The sunloungers at the pool are clearly at the end of their lifecycle and should be replaced, so that you don’t feel the frame sticking in your back.
