11 fancy set lunch menus to try in Singapore - SilverKris

"A contemporary Japanese kappo-style restaurant with an intimate open kitchen and sweeping Marina Bay views, offering two-course ($65) and three-course ($80) set lunches that showcase seasonal, meticulously prepared ingredients. Starters include items like maguro tataki (lightly grilled bluefin tuna) and gindara misoyaki (miso black cod with lemon balm), while desserts rework classics into elevated versions such as matcha panna cotta, soy pudding and Castella sponge. The three-course menu can also include chirashi and soup, making for a visually striking and flavourful midday experience." - SilverKris

My friend and I ordered the 9 course omakase dinner and enjoyed the dishes tremendously. We especially liked the somen with cod fish which was only available in the omakase set. The service staff were attentive and accommodating, and they offered to switch us to the window seat to enjoy the night view after we finished most of our meal at the counter. The chef also did a great job to explain the ingredients that were used in each of the dishes. The pacing of the meal was just right, and allowed us to enjoy the meal comfortably. They also paid a lot of attention to the plating of the dishes and we can see they take pride in their lovely creations. The ambience of the restaurant is also great for conversations and the night view is amazing. We will definitely be back to try out their lunch set.

My first omakase experience, celebrated for my birthday by my dear friend. The service staff were attentive and took time to explain each dish. We chose the 7-course set, which was perfectly portioned. I especially enjoyed the Hassun with its beautiful variety of small dishes. While I’m not very adventurous with sashimi, everything was very fresh and enjoyable. Will definitely return for special occasions.

I visited OUMI to celebrate a friend’s birthday and we went with the 6‑course Omakase. Most of the dishes were thoughtfully prepared and tasted great, showing a nice balance of flavors. The only exception was the Teppan Chicken, which turned out rather dry and bland. What really impressed us, though, was the attentiveness of the staff — one of them noticed some portions were left untouched and proactively offered to deduct the dish from the bill. We were also given a window seat, which offered an unobstructed view of the city skyline. It added a special touch to the evening and made the celebration feel even more memorable!

Had the 9 course omakase dinner here. Extremely worth it. The absolute highlight was the chefs selected appetisers, with such an interesting journey through the various edible flowers and leaves picked up from the rooftop garden at Capitaspring. What an amazing concept. Some of them blew my mind like the flower that tasted like mango, or the leaf that was incredibly sweet. Foie gras biscuit thing was to DIE for. Incredible dish. The wagyu was made to perfection. My wife's lamb was one of the tastiest lambs I've ever had the honour of tasting. Perfectly chosen sashimi. Tastiest chawanmushi with corn. I could just go on. One of the best omakases I've had in a very long time.

To be truthful, the meal was slightly disappointing. We had the lunch set and tried both types of appetizers, unagi and koji chicken for the mains. Both appetizers were great, love the pairing of momotaro tomatoes with cheese and we like it more than the hamachi crudo. Unagi was fair but eating it with dashi makes it exceptional. The koji chicken was not up to mark. Since koji is supposed to tenderize meat and make it juicy we were disappointed the chicken thigh was dry and texture was like breast instead. Probably overcooked? Chawanmushi was fair, could taste the butter but perhaps not to our liking as it felt too rich rather than light and savory. Dessert was good, the citrusy flavours of yuzu pairs well with the vanilla pudding.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A truly memorable experience at Oumi and 1-Arden! We booked a 6pm dinner at Oumi to celebrate a friend’s 60th birthday, followed by drinks at 1-Arden Sky Bar at 7:30pm to catch the Singapore National Day rehearsal fireworks—and the entire evening was absolutely exceptional. Oumi’s fine-dining experience was impressive. Every dish served was beautifully presented and full of refined flavors—definitely worth recommending even though the prices reflect the premium quality. We ordered the 7-types sashimi course, which unfortunately had a minor hiccup, but the staff responded swiftly and handled it with genuine sincerity and professionalism. It’s that kind of attentive service that truly sets a fine dining establishment apart. The issue was quickly resolved, and it didn’t affect our celebration or mood at all. This is actually our second visit in two weeks (we were here last week for the afternoon high tea!), and once again, 1-Arden Sky Bar proved to be one of the most perfect spots to watch fireworks in Singapore. With panoramic, unobstructed views from all angles, minimal crowd, and a stunning skyline as the backdrop, this hidden gem offers a truly magical atmosphere. Highly recommended for both special occasions and unforgettable views—we’ll definitely be back again!

We had an enjoyable experience at Oumi. Thierry provided detailed descriptions of the ingredients on each course, which was particularly helpful for my wife, who has a food allergy to beans. The serving size was appropriate for us, as we opted for the six-course meal.

Great atmosphere and view along with an intricate menu. Ordered the 6 course dinner tasting menu and every dish was exceptional. Highly recommended.
