Google
This place is highly overrated. Scrambled eggs was a pile of overcooked, brown, fried mess. Hashbrowns were overcooked and greasy, not even tasting like potatoes. Wouldn’t have ordered them if I knew that had onions and peppers? in them because I can’t eat those things. Biscuits were so dry that I couldn’t even poke it with a fork without crumbling apart. French toast was an undercooked mushy lump. The place is filthy and in disrepair. The only good parts of this meal and experience were the service, the orange juice, and the bacon.

Google
We stop in occasionally to pick up ready made frozen dinners. We love the lasagna, pot pies and chicken dishes. All have been delicious. I like to have some in the freezer in case we have company. We have eaten in the restaurant for breakfast. Great choices and great food!

Google
Took my son here on my day off for Some place new to try for a dad/son day out. He wanted to start it out with chocolate chip pancakes 🥞 and he picked the right place! He scarfed them all down with 4 slices of excellent bacon strips. I had the French toast which was very good (had powdered sugar and maple syrup). We got to play connect four and cornhole outside before we ate which helped keep the activities going and was next to other outdoor seating (since the a/c was on pretty high inside due to the recent heat wave). Awesome place. Biggest tip - Come here early or be patiently waiting because there’s only about 10 tables and 5-6 bar seats. Well worth a 15-20 minute wait! 💪🏼 My son said “Food was great but…I wouldn’t come back.” Waiter said “oh buddy why not?” My son “I’m cold (due to the a/c)” Waiter “Buddy let me get you a cookie sorry you were cold.” (He let my son pick out whatever cookie he wanted and he definitely did not have to go out of his way to do that.). Awesome customer service and we will be back with the entire family some morning for sure!👍🏼

Google
I stopped here on my cruise today. I seen this place and was curious. Good thing I was. I walked in and was immediately was greeted, seated, and not disappointed. The food was very tasty and filling after I looked at the entire lineup of a menu. (It's a lot to choose from). The food is very affordable also which is another factor I look at as well as the service. My server was very patient and attentive to my order. The only negative aspect of the experience was that they don't care their t-shirts in my size. They only go up to a 2XL. Thank you for the amazing experience, keep up the great work. Stopped in today for lunch and wasn't disappointed. I had the Burn Your Arse Burger with fresh Cole slaw and loved it.

Google
First time trying this place. Their food was good and the staff are friendly. Don’t understand how I never knew about this place. They’ve got frozen meals pre made in case someone wants a fast dinner that they don’t have to make. Had breakfast here, the food was flavorful and the waitress was very kind. Most likely to come back here again. Not enough good places to eat in the Baldwin/West Mifflin area.

Raya L.

Google
Food is amazing. Portions are generous, service is top notch. One of my favorite places. Just wish they were more hours but I also understand.

Marianne S.

Google
Such a gem in the south hills! It was funny, my husband thought I ordered a little of everything, but the joke was on him for the size of his pancakes. I had the Strawberries and Cream crepe and was delicious. Will definitely be back!

Anthony L.

Google
They catered a Christmas party for our staff on 12/6/24. The food was atrocious. The ziti cheese was burnt, the chicken planks were burnt, the potatoes were cold and contained a foreign substance, and the green beans were cold and wrinkled. Absolutely terrible. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.

Yelp
My mom and I randomly grabbed breakfast here today and I am SO glad we tried it out. It's in the corner of a small shopping plaza, so the perfect term for "hidden gem!" We waited for about 3 minutes for a table. We were offered complimentary breakfast bites which were absolutely delicious. They were two biscuit bites and two cinnamon roll bites with a cinnamon butter on the side. FANTASTIC. The biscuit was so moist (I know, I hate the word too but it's the only way to describe it) and the dough for the cinnamon roll was a phyllo type. I ordered the California Eggs Benedict with hash browns which is poached eggs, sautéed spinach, tomato, and avocado with hollandaise and feta cheese crumbles. My mom got the strawberry & cream crepe and it was "knock your socks off" good! The guy helping us was running the entire place and stayed so calm and collected. It was rather busy for a Monday, but he was great at clearing the tables, taking the orders, bringing out the food, and refills etc. I would recommend this cute little place and I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
A second review because this place is absolutely a hidden treasure! Yummy food! Great service! Cute vibe!
google avatar

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Tried this place for breakfast today and was simply blown away by the food and service. It's a smaller restaurant with bar seating and about 10 booths and tables to sit at. The place was completely full throughout our time there and people just kept coming in. I can certainly see why! The menu is huge with tons of options. I went with the ham & cheese crepes and they were delicious. They serve two crepes and after one I was stuffed. I made sure to get a to go box because it was too good to just leave there. They also have a freezer full of prepared meals and soups that you can take home with you. I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
I had a great lunch here with my niece. Our food was amazing and the service was equally as great. It's a small place and thankfully we didn't have to wait to be seated but I imagine they could get a nice wait going. Can't wait to come back.

Jill T.

Yelp
Vast menu, homey atmosphere, great service and delicious food. It did not disappoint.

J L.

Yelp
service friendly but slow. Companion's mixed grill was fine. My steak salad was barely warm but greens were fresh. Steak was inedible, 6 strips the size of my pinky burnt beyond recognition. They did comp this. Best bisquit ever!
google avatar

Ryan W.

Yelp
Great food and quick service. Had an amazing Belgian Waffle and my wife had strawberry and blueberry crepes. Excellent.

Anthony L.

Yelp
No offer or calls from company regarding terrible food they provided. They do not care.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend Melissa rarely chooses where we eat, but this time she knocked it out of the park! This was an amazing little secret and I'm so glad she shared. The portions were huge and the food was delish. The service was fast in this cute little cafe. Just note; this place is SMALL. There could be a wait, or you might be crammed in your booth like we were. The booths had been pushed around and left little room for ours up against the wall. I digress though, this place is still great. Happy Eating!

Yelp
My favorite breakfast spot in the Pittsburgh area! I usually get one of their many benedicts and they're always excellent. The menu is pretty large so there's something for everyone. I recommend reading before you go if you can because it can get overwhelming trying to read everything if they're busy. I've also tried some of their take home meals and they're really good too. It can get kind of busy on the weekend so there might be a wait but it's never been long.

Yelp
I've only ever ordered takeout but my goodness this place never misses! I've eaten a lot of different things here so let me tell you my likes and dislikes. Biscuits and gravy: 5/5, I'm not even a sausage lover but oh baby this is rich, decadent, flavorful and the biscuit is perfect. Blueberry pancake-this thing is HUGE. It was a challenge to eat because of its size. Tasty, well made, just huge. BAT crepes-there are better crepes here but I appreciate that they had this on the menu. Waffle sandwich-husband loves it Oscar crepes: 5/5. Their hollandaise is perfect. I'm getting hungry thinking about the Oscar crepes. Eggs Benedict: best eggs bennies I've found in Pittsburgh.

Melissa C.

Yelp
I new about this place a long time ago but never went. I starting working near there and this place is amazing! They have the best French Fries! They are handcut and thin. They are so good! I've had the chicken salad sandwich and it was very good. They make everything in house! Its a great little secret everything is really good!
google avatar

Melodie S.

Yelp
Have been here three or four times and been happy with each encounter. Got the Southern Benedict this morning when I couldn't decide between Eggs Benedict and Biscuits and Gravy and I highly recommend! They were able to accommodate my niece's dairy allergy and modify her Elvis French Toast, which is much appreciated. Extensive offerings in the Eggs Benedict, Pancake and French Toast department. Decor is cute as a button and the bathroom was clean. Love a small local business with excellent food and good service. They also offering catering, which I would imagine is also great.

Yelp
Great little restaurant ..good food nice people own and run this place. I am going back!!!

Yelp
Holy strawberry crepe portions Batman. After recovering from the diabetic coma I temporarily slipped into, I took notice of the cutesy, cozy space and was able to sip on my coffee at the bar. Very nice staff. This place shouldn't be a secret.

Hayley D.

Yelp
Food was amazing, service was amazing and the atmosphere was chill, they had a great playlist hehe

Yelp
We order via door dash for breakfast. We ordered the country Benedict which included hash browns, country fried steak, biscuits and sausage gravy topped with poached eggs. It my be the best sausage gravy I've had in Pittsburgh. The hash browns were crisp, the poached eggs were perfect. 10/10 will order again. Generous portion. We also ordered the blueberry and cream crepes which were also amazing. I've been searching everywhere for crepes with a cream filling and am so thankful to have found somewhere! Great job! Thank you.

Yelp
Went there for the first time on Saturday and I must say the food was superb. Flavorful The best tasting banana Foster French toast that I've had in a very long time. That was very impressed. I would definitely be going there again, on the down side I would say the service could have been a little bit better. They were super busy that day but still that's no excuse as being in the food industry myself as a chef and a manager you still have to make sure cleanliness is your top priority.

caroljade007

Yelp
I haven't been there for awhile but it's a hidden little gem! The food is great and the service is as well!

Yelp
So I like this place. It's cute and has its charm but as a breakfast person, I like other local options better. I'm a die hard sausage patty guy and theirs just doesn't do it for me. Plus I like fluffy scrambled eggs and these are cooked hard. I don't like giving bad reviews this just isn't my cup of tea

Leslie S.

Yelp
Awesome selection, prompt service, friendly staff. Would be great if they would add a vegan option or two.
google avatar

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Solid place for breakfast in the South Hills. Great food and wonderful customer service is what they are known for. Took a little longer than usual for our food to arrive, but with the number of take out orders that they are constantly processing-not surprised. They are always there quickly with a drink refill and did apologize for the time. Will definitely come again-have only had their breakfast, but they have many other options and also cater so we will need to try something g different next time.

Patti P.

Yelp
This cute little cafe is one of our favorites for breakfast - even at lunch time. Service is fast and attentive. The breakfast menu is extensive. The biscuits and gravy is a favorite choice. The crepes are amazing, as are the pancakes. If it is lunchtime and you can't decide, order breakfast and stop by the freezer on your way out for soups or lasagne.
google avatar

Jennifer F.

Yelp
Best sausage gravy around, I could bathe in it. Their regular coffee tastes of hazelnut, definitely a flavor to it so keep in mind when automatically adding sugars and creamers. Try it first! I was worried since their menu was so massive, that quality would suffer but I was happy for sure! I'd like to come back and try more.

Cindy D.

Yelp
I hate to write a review because then it won't be secret anymore! Great good and plenty of it. I have tried several various dishes and everyone was perfection

Darrin D.

Yelp
Stopped by for some much needed breakfast the morning after a concert. Made a great choice based off previous Yelp reviews. Small business with big ideas on food! Outstanding"Elvis style" French toast with bananas and peanut butter! French toast was done perfectly and the peanut butter takes the sweetness of the syrup. Highly recommend!! Homemade corn beef hash was the perfect compliment and man was it good! My lovely FIANCÉ, she must have bumped her head right before I asked because she said yes, had the chicken fried steak with eggs, toast and hash browns. It might have been one of the best chicken fried steaks we have ever had! Cooked perfectly with the right amount of breading and crunch. Sausage gravy on top complimented it perfectly! Come try these secret little gem. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Great little restaurant in South Park. And I do mean little! The food is excellent and the staff is friendly and attentive. Recommend!
google avatar

Larry W.

Yelp
Great food and large portions. Menu is unique and that's what makes this place really cool.
google avatar

Ken W.

Yelp
Average food, nothing to write home about! A step up from an Eat-n-Park, but definitely not as good as Cracked Egg on Brownsville Road! Only come here bc there's not many restaurant choices in the South Hills area, let alone a Ma and Pa place!!

Darrin S.

Yelp
This place is a gem! Great food and service! Highly recommend! The sausage gravy is delicious!

Susan T.

Yelp
My family & I absolutely fell in love with this place. We enjoyed each & every visit no complaints, that is up until the last visit which happened to be on the Saturday before Mother's Day. My daughter ended up consuming some under cooked bacon and got very sick. The pain & sickness she endured was severe. She had to make several trips to medical facilites and prescribed some very expensive medication to treat her condition. I contacted the restaurant and to my dissappointment nothing was done or offered to help with the situation. I feel some sort of action should've occured to accept responsibility for this costly and very painful mistake. Very mixed feelings on whether we will be returning to this restaurant again. Mistakes happen but that is what insurance is for.
google avatar

Courtney H.

Yelp
CREDIT CARD FEE: Yes, $2 convince fee for credit cards is a bummer but when you take into consideration the cost of the food on the menu you realize that you're willing to take the time to stop by the ATM. I'd rather pay the fee than have the place raise the price of each item. FOOD: Every single item I've ordered from carbs to proteins have never let me down! Each dish is HUGE and comes with a generous portion of ingredients (even avocado which most restaurants like to be stingy with). Some of my personal favorites have been the Cali Omelet, Strawberry/blueberry and cream crepes (minus the weird jam they put under the crepe, it takes away from the delicious flavor). My mouth waters just writing this review. COFFEE: The coffee is actually good! Not decent, good! I felt this an important part of the review just because it's hard to find good coffee at diners. SERVICE: Service comes with a smile but you may want to stop by during non-peak hours if you lack patience or are in a hurry. It takes a lot for me to deduct points for service so you will just have to form your own opinions.

Yelp
This restaurant gives small town diner vibes, the service has always been very fast and efficient. Also, if you go I recommend grabbing a side order of gravy and biscuit and be prepared because the portions are huge, definitely enough to snack on for a quick lunch.
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
Cute and cozy. Friendly faces. Comfort food. Hidden away. Definitely a secret. Surely has the potential to grow with a boost in marketing!
google avatar

Colleen C.

Yelp
Delicious and generous portions! I highly recommend! Lots of catering options. The only drawback is that it's no longer open on Sundays. Definitely go and try it out.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
I'm going to let the secret out...This place is superb! They always greet their customers with a smile. Sometimes there can be a wait for seating but well worth the wait. The staff is very inviting and friendly. They all seem to work as a team with a smile on their faces. I have never witnessed the "Not my job" mentality. If I were to ever own a restaurant (which I won't), I want this staff!!! Great job to management and employees! The food is always prepared perfectly. I'm a bit high maintenance when it comes to eggs and they are done exactly as requested every time. We will continue to make this a staple in our restaurant repertoire. I highly recommend this hidden little gem.

Yelp
Best food in the area ! This is my favorite place to get breakfast ! It's small but mighty ! Yum !
google avatar

Janine M.

Yelp
Friendly service and quick considering how busy they were on a Saturday morning. Everything was delicious and we even took home some meals for later!
google avatar

Erin A.

Yelp
First time trying this place. Heard good things about it. Easy to find and good parking. Actual restaurant is very small. It's a really cold day - and there is very little space to stand while waiting for a table. Folks kept holding the door open and so it was really cold inside. Cash only - no credit cards. Menu is big - lots of options. We got one chocolate chip pancake with peanut butter - it was huge. I had the Baltimore eggs Benedict - interesting that they came with actual crab cakes on it. Hubby got steak and eggs. Steak looked awesome but he said it was bland. If you are starving this is a great place to go. For me it was ok - nothing truly unique or special - just big.

Matthew O.

Yelp
Gravy and biscuits put me in a food coma. Then it really bothered me for a few days. Service is adequate for a dinner.
google avatar

Chrissy M.

Yelp
Awesome food and service. Huge menu! Everything I've tried has been good. Just wish their hours were expanded.

Yelp
Best bacon I ever had everything was great my son loved his pancakes w will definitely be back

Yelp
So, they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day... this place seems to agree. Small location, maybe fits 20 people max. Menu has all you can ask for at a breakfast place: waffles, pancakes, eggs every way, etc. It was my last day in Pittsburgh, so I decided to go "all out" and went with the French Toasts, with a side of sausage. Coffee was served, server says the order will be ready soon and out comes this massive plate filled completely by 4 huge, thick French Toast, and a sausage patty the size of a guy's hand. You must imagine my face of surprise... How in the world am I gonna eat all that? (FYI... the picture does not do it justice) As if the server knew what I was thinking, he comes out of the kitchen and says "we have a rule, whoever doesn't finish their plate has to help with the dishes". I raised my hands, and said "bring out the gloves because I'm not even going to attempt it". It was a fun exchange of words while he poured more coffee in my mug, which was always kept full. The French toasts reminded me a little of the PAM commercial with the "ghost of dinners past". They had a touch of salty taste, of a griddle that has seen a lot of busy days. Don't get me wrong, they were good but, don't expect a clean sweet taste here, which is fine with me not liking things too sweet. The sausage wasn't too greasy, which I appreciated, and after eating 1.5 of the 4 French Toasts and ¼ of the sausage, I was done. Thankfully they let us pay, without me having to touch the kitchen or a dirty dish. If you find yourself here, remember to share... The pancakes, as I saw at the table next to us, come in 4s too. Or, order an egg dish, these seemed more "normal" size and looked good! One thing is for sure, you will start your day full and ready for whatever it brings after having one of their breakfasts.

Patti S.

Yelp
So I have enjoyed eating out for as far back as I can remember- but today was a first! After enjoying breakfast and some conversation with 3 of my friends, we were asked to please leave as there was someone waiting for our booth. We were stunned! There was no one waiting in line! This has never happened to me in my entire life - even in a high-end restaurant! Needless to say we all left with a bad taste in our mouths! I will never return to this restaurant again- nor will my friends!
google avatar

Steve D.

Yelp
Our new go to spot for breakfast. Great food, great staff, and a great menu! Sausage gravy should be sold by the gallon!

Marian L.

Yelp
Only ever had breakfast, but it was great! Parking convenient. Handicap Accessible.Recommended by friend. Cozy atmosphere. Great service.

Yelp
Good sized portions and tasty food. Definitely a great breakfast place ! Staff is friendly as well.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of having the philly cheese steak and baked potato - at their "FOOD TRUCK" that was parked down at Woods Run on the North Side. I was suspicious because there wasn't a name on the truck but after I inquired.. it was understood. The menu.. it was tough to decide because I got a glimpse of the wings and they looked delicious and liked the flavors in addition to the standard buffalo (such as honey sirchia etc.) I am a steak lover so was sold - especially when I read it was served on manicnis hoagie roll! It's really served on the "special" hoagie roll which is a little bit smaller than the standard hoagie size mancinis roll. The philly was $9 bucks and was totally worth it. The meat was overflowing with waves of delicious-ness. I was pleased that I was able to get the sandwich "without" mushrooms (because they are MY enemy) the horseradish cream sauce had just the right zing to it and wasn't overbearing in flavor. The baked potato for $3 bucks: It was small in size but good. I got a dollop of the avocado salsa.. it was such a small amount. I wish I would have gotten two instead of one. I will no doubt be back to sample the wings and tacos... Thank you "Our little secret café & catering"

Annett K.

Yelp
OLSC&C catered our baby shower on 3/4/23. We were extremely pleased with quality of food, portions. Wedding soup, wraps, croissant sandwiches were so delicious that everyone in attendance(50) raved about all! Not a morsel was wasted or left behind. Prompt, efficient service. Thanks to Zack and staff!
