Where to Eat and Drink Around Merrifield and Dunn Loring | Eater DC

"This Greek restaurant has a breezy menu of salads, Greek small plates, and heartier fare like moussaka. There’s a tiny, cute patio outside as well as some additional outdoor seating across the street. Greek wines are among the beverage options. The restaurant is pretty small, so reservations are a good bet." - Missy Frederick

Had dinner at this Greek restaurant and was really impressed. The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly, tasted really good. tender with a nice char and great flavor. We also had a fish dish (I think it was called Halibut or something similar) that was super fresh and well seasoned. Everything tasted authentic and well-prepared. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into seafood and Greek flavors.

Google
This Greek restaurant in the Mosaic District offers an impressive selection of Mediterranean cuisine that truly delivers. Its traditional Greek dishes paired with excellent wines make it a great spot for a meal. I visited for lunch and was thoroughly impressed—the food was flavorful without being overpowering. From the lunch special menu, the Seafood Salad stood out. It featured a delightful medley of seafood dressed in a zesty lemon and olive oil dressing that was simply excellent. The Branzino Filet was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious, complemented by tasty potatoes and mixed vegetables. The Shrimp Kebab was wonderful, and the fasolakia (green beans) over rice provided a hearty, satisfying addition. Every dish was excellent, light, and healthy, making for a wonderful dining experience. I appreciated the clean, airy atmosphere and the service, which was nothing short of exceptional.

Google
Hands down the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Our waiter, Milan, was fantastic; very entertaining with his menu presentations and stories, helpful, attentive humorous, and kind! The food was incredible. We ordered the lamb, spanakopita, tzatziki, grilled octopus, and baklava. The lamb and octopus melted in your mouth, everything was cooked to perfection. I’ve taught at a culinary school and worked with many amazing chefs, but this was top quality all around. We eat at a lot of restaurants, but I couldn’t forget to leave a review for this one!

Google
Loved this place! We got a bunch of smaller plates to share, including the saganaki (the dish where they set cheese on fire), a really good beans dish which I think was called gigantes plaki, and dolmades which are a stuffed grape leaf dish. My mom and I also each got a cocktail and I forget what they were called but they were good! My favorite part though was the dessert (Lokmas!)

Josh Gravholt

Google
The garden salad was so good. Next time Molly said she was just gonna get that with chicken. We also got the gigantes, meatballs, and beets. The beets were amazing. We also got Eugenia‘s old-fashioned, which were a little sweet, but good.

Google
I had a wonderful experience here on a Tuesday evening. The staff flowed very seamlessly and they all concerned themselves with ensuring the patrons were well taken care of. The service was quick, and the food was fresh & flavorful. I ordered lentil soup and crispy branzino from the specials, with an eggplant dip from the regular menu. Right from the first bite I was glad that I had ventured in from the Mosaic District promenade with eggplant on my mind. It was a wonderful medley of whole foods and open hearts with the buttery chunks of potatoes winning the award for best supporting flavor of the dish. Thank you to Milan for providing excellent service and for instilling a desire in me to visit Greece one day as it is surely about the only thing that could have surpassed the wonderful solo dining experience I had tonight.

Google
Been here twice now and its been great x 2 ! First time was bean soup and a summer seafood salad that was just excellent - and i'm not a salad person. Next was a lentil soup and marinated lemonized chicken over rice and greek green beans dish - perfect. will be back as soon as possible !

Google
First time here, and we fell in love with the food. The lamb entree was perfectly cooked. The surf ant turf was perfect also. We had a desert and were sharable for the table. Wine selection is not bad at all. Overall, we loved it.

Yelp
This Mosaic favorite just upgraded to a bigger dining space and it's absolutely beautiful! Their weekend brunch options are healthy, flavorful, and and a great way to start your morning off with family and friends. Service was super attentive and the food was fabulous. Table favorites included: + Solomos, the Greek answer to a bagel with lox + Avga Zakynthina, a hearty breakfast option that is similar to shakshuka + Taramosalata, a whipped salmon roe dip which is surprisingly my favorite thing on the menu. I have had this at other restaurants and nothing compares to their recipe My only suggestion is to elevate the coffee program -- it is very basic and I see a lot of opportunity here.

Yelp
Great little Greek restaurant! Went today for lunch for a friend's birthday. The four of us were seated immediately. The decor made me feel like I was in a cafe in Greece! We started with a shared 3 dips and pita. Totally fresh and delicious. Two of us had the chicken wrap, one had spanakopita and dolmades, and one had the Greek salad with shrimp. All plates had great presentation and were delicious and filling. The two of us that had the chicken wrap only ate half so we got 2 meals out of it! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I had been to Our Mom Eugenia a few years ago and liked it, so I wanted to come back and see if the food here was still good. I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the pita and hummus, spanakopita, and the octopus. The food was very good. I liked the pita, and the octopus was tender and flavorful. My favorite out of the bunch was the spanakopita, which was super flaky and buttery, and the filling was delicious. The service was great. They had a decent amount of people in the restaurant, but the food came out super fast. The server was very helpful with recommendations and took our order quickly. The ambiance was nice. The lights did go out briefly, which was a little surprising, but I can't fault them for that because it was pretty windy. I am really glad i came back here, and it was a great experience.

Yelp
I happened to stumble across this restaurant. Our server, Ana, was extremely sweet and provided a nice environment for us to enjoy or meal. The Greek salad was delicious and fresh, definitely was a need with the hot weather. The moussaka was not my favorite, and nothing too special. However, we got the cake for dessert which was delicious and had the perfect amount of sweetness.

Yelp
Wow. Such amazing food and service. This was my first time there and I must go back. Small plates were delicious. I'm not sure I could name a favorite because they were all good. Service was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Dropped by on a hot busy night and was happy to get a table quickly. The menus looked amazing. However, we were completely ignored after being seated -- not so much as a water. We tried to catch the attention of the wait staff serving the tables around us, but they repeatedly averted our gazes, and we eventually left after 15 minutes. The restaurant seemed very chaotic and disorganized with a lot of teens working. I think we'll stick to our neighborhood Greek taverna instead of the trendy high capacity chain with the sophisticated marketing.
google avatar

Yelp
Always a great meal here! Service is great, the food is delicious and portions are generous. The apps are the real stars, with my faves being the beef kebabs and halloumi.

Yelp
I came here with a friend for a nice lunch and was overall very satisfied! I've only ever been to one other Greek restaurant, so I wasn't too familiar with the menu. We both got a couple cocktails and a few appetizers to share. The food wasn't anything crazy delicious but I could definitely tell that the ingredients were fresh. Service was average, nothing out of this world. I did notice that there were quite a few fruit flies/gnats that were bothersome. They kept bugging us throughout our entire meal, which was a bit unfortunate. I would definitely come back here and try more meat heavy dishes since that's more my taste!

Maria R.

Yelp
Wow! Their food is so so yummy. I came to the area for work with a group of colleagues. They decided to go out for dinner and I opted out to stay at the hotel. I ordered from this restaurant and had to call my colleagues to let them know they were missing out this great food. Everything was delicious. Glad that I got to try their food.

Yelp
We love the salads and adding seafood to them. We went there for a birthday and it was so fun. The grape stuffed leaves are so good. And I love to stuff my pockets full of the candies that taste like licorice. Fun place

Yelp
Our Mom Eugenia is small and cute. Staff are friendly and service has always been good. I like their Greek salad, spanakopita, and bread. The salad was fresh and well-dressed. Other items have been fine. I really appreciate their Greek wine offerings, and the wines I've had were good. They have interesting cocktails and they do those really well. My Kir Royale was perfect and the Athenian Nights was delicious. I'd go back for a cocktail anytime.

Sheri M.

Yelp
What a great meal we ve had here 3 times now.Our server was a nice attentive young man that is also Greek, and did such an amazing job helping us make the best choices for dinner. Then he went out of his way to have a wine expert at the restaurant explain the Green wines to us for pairing . Our sever made sure we had the birthday dessert for our son's birthday, and really made us feel special. Thank you again !!
google avatar

Maitrayee D.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday celebration. Wine was good from Santorini . Ordered whole Branzini . Was good and tasty .The server deboned the fish for us . Greek Meatballs were ok . Our meat platter was ok . Loved their trip dips . Halumi was very good . Liked the Spanakopita.

Yelp
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner for two tonight, after getting moved from the new dining space to the original space. The new space was full of large tables of people loudly enjoying each other's company. Having a reservation, we expected the original space and a quieter dining experience. We have been here several times before, dining inside and out. The food, wine, service and atmosphere were up to expectations. I wouldn't recommend the new space for a dinner for two.

Yelp
Our Mom Eugenia is EVERYTHING! It's almost like you are transported to the coast of Greece for an afternoon! The decor and setting is so picturesque and aesthetically pleasing! The blues and set up feels so coastal & makes the dining experience so much better! The food was even better! We tried a little bit of it all! The three spreads to start, we tried the tzatziki, fava, and skordalia spreads. Each of them was absolutely delicious in their own ways! Paired with little pita bread slices, a great appetizer! We also go the calamari as a starter, which was so much more than we anticipated! The serving was perfect for 4 people! It was fried so lightly and crisp, there was no oily or greasy mess left behind! I personally ordered the steamed mussels as my entree, and they were to die for! Perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing! My family also ordered the octopus, chicken kababs, and tomato/feta plate. Everything was amazing!! The octopus was a highlight! So tender and soft!! Overall this was the perfect place to take family for a fun lunch date! We absolutely loved it! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Just had a fantastic New Year's Eve dinner at Our Mom Eugenia in the Mosaic District. The service was great and waiter was very personable. The Saganaki cheese which is flambéed table side and is a wonderful appetizer. One of the specials was beef tenderloin medallions on garlic mashed potatoes. This also was a great dish and the meat was very tender and perfectly cooked. Ending the meal we had Mom's Apple Crumble Cake with French vanilla ice cream. I wasn't sure if apple cake would be good but I was very mistaken. It was delightful and the plate was drizzled with icing which made the cake even better.

Yelp
Have been to Our Mom Eugenia (this location only) 3 times now and each time I left unimpressed. Located in the Mosaic District, they can get pretty busy in the evenings so I definitely recommend making a reservation. Between all 3 visits, I have tasted various appetizers, entrees and only one dessert. Nothing really stood out to me other than the dessert. Each time, something was either too salty or too greasy. Certainly, not worth the price tag. The dessert - Loukomades with Nutella - was yummy but super sweet. So if you don't like things to be overly sweet, I recommend asking for less Nutella or ordering tea/ coffee to go with it. On two separate occasions, I had the same server and she was always disappearing for long periods of time, ignoring our attempts of grabbing her attention and just unfriendly. Overall, I can't say they were terrible but not worth it for my taste.

Yelp
The lamb wrap special was phenomenal. The tzatziki sauce was, too. Liked it so much I got one to go. They had charged me for the sauces even though it was supposed to come with it. I emailed them the feedback and they immediately refunded the cost of the sauce which was nice of them. Great service, great quality food - also have been to the Shirlington location. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
My review is biased in that I love anything Mediterranean about a meal. This location is very quaint and ai loved that. I came here for a group dinner. We tasted the dips, broccoli soup and a few other dishes. A good spanakopita is the foundation of good Greek spot and this one was superb. Perfectly flaky and light. I actually dipped it in my broccoli soup, because why not. I will say my love of Greek food takes a hard turn at olives (yuck) but I ordered the Garides Saganaki with Ouzoanyway. What a great choice! I wanted a small plate that was light and yummy. I got both. Next time I will try the grilled octopus. Whe. You want a low maintenance meal with high end feel and flavor, you now know a spot.
google avatar

Grace B.

Yelp
Hmmm... I'm not sure about all these super hyped reviews. We went today and nothing shined as ah-mazing. Standard Greek dips you can buy for a third of the price at your local supermarket. Kabobs came out cold and again nothing spectacular.. a bit dry. Vegetables were wet and overly cooked to the point of being soggy. Fries overly cooked.. I hate dark burned fries. Calamari all fried breading and where's the squid? It's ok so what is with all the five stars? The best part of dinner was the wine. Really got $40 plates what am I missing here?!
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant located in Mosaic district. A very inviting atmosphere with Greek/Mediterranean food. My first impression was that it had a very organized and clean interior. The menu is small but offers high quality meat, seafood, and veggie options. I ordered the octopus which I thought would've been tougher but had the texture of a medium rare steak. The lamb meatballs were delicious and paired well with the sauce it sat on. Service was a bit slow at first but overall, pleasant and professional. Not the cheapest option for dinner, but you're definitely getting a great dining experience with some delicious options to mix around.
google avatar

Candace M.

Yelp
The food is really good and the service is attentive. Only thing bothersome is the hostesses, place was empty at 430pm and made a big deal about a solo walk in. I would hope that being in Mosaic would allow for 1 walk-in table for 2 on fully reserved nights. I will be back since I was looking for authentic greek food. Outside of my usual spots and greek fests in baltimore.

Yelp
Felt like some Greek fare to celebrate the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl and Our Mom Eugenia has been on my list for ages. It's a rainy day and I know parking is SCARCE after work. I called in my order and the woman that took my order said someone could bring my order out to my car. A+ just for weathering the rain so I don't have to! I arrived and called the restaurant, a woman promptly answered and brought out my order, where I paid at my car. I couldn't wait to get home because a co-worker raves about the food. Was take-away going to be just as good? OMG, YES! I ordered the grilled octopus, the meat is so tender, hints of lemon and green onion and the dip, I think it's fava bean, so good. On to the feta psiti, I could eat this for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack and dessert! I loved all the flavors, they work together. On to the so-so...IMHO, I love zatar, so I thought there could have been a ton more on my side of pita. The pita tasted very fresh. I wasn't a fan of the spanakopita. After I had the grilled octopus and feta psiti they dimmed, flavor wise, in comparison. Spanakopita was flaky, flecks of feta and tons of spinach and spring onion but muted flavors. Will I go back. ABSOLUTELY! I HAVE to try the infamous, only served on Friday, Pastitsio!!

Kiki S.

Yelp
Make sure to feed your kids beforehand if you plan to dine here -- we waited over an hour and 20 minutes for our food. I've visited many Greek restaurants, and the flavors here were pretty average at best. The service was disappointing as well; our server barely checked on us and only showed up to drop off the food. We didn't see him again after that. Never coming back.
google avatar

Kiana M.

Yelp
Our Mom Eugenia is a new favorite! If you are looking for fresh, simple and delicious Greek food this is a must try. I tried the beef skewers, Greek salad and the three spreads appetizer. Every bite was delicious! The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned. The spreads were amazing my favorites were Tirokafteri, Melitzanosalata, and Tzatziki. An extremely underrated treat was the fresh bread. I could have filled up on that bread alone.
google avatar

Yelp
Oh my goodness...this was my VERY FIRST TIME ORDERING FROM THIS RESTAURANT. Let me just add...I ordered via Uber Eats and I waited quite some time for my food to arrive so I knew it would be cold by the time it arrived, but I could always warm it up. Little to my surprise, I did NOT EXPECT TO BE DELIVERED SAHARAN DRIED UP CHICKEN SKEWERS AND BEEF MEATBALLS!!!! Are you kidding me???!??!!!! Please do cook the meat, but DO NOT OVER COOOOOK OVER MEAT!!!!! I also ordered the sautéed spinach and the baked beets. They were just bleh...that's all I can say...oh, and that I will NEVER BE ORDERING FROM THIS RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN!!!!

Yelp
Such a cool little place. Stopped in here while shopping and I'm glad we did. The food is outstanding. They have some really great stuff here and the presentation is fun. Service is top notch. Will be back!

Yelp
Great food and great wait staff. We ordered the fried zucchini, zucchini fritters, mixed grill, shrimp and orzo, and the grilled octopus. Would 100% recommend for a date night or a night out with a group of friends.

Frank C.

Yelp
Love the food! The expansion at Mosiac has helped ease the crowding. Service is always good. Highly recommend.

T Q.

Yelp
Lunch was average, and the lamb shank, contrary to the waiter's bold claim of being the "best on the east coast", was underwhelming. This same server seemed annoyed at having to wait on us sitting outside and greeted us with "do you have a reservation" in a tone that was unwelcoming. Unlikely to return.
google avatar

Yelp
Two dinners at Our Mom Eugenia and both were pretty good! They have very authentic Greek food at decent prices in a simple but inviting space in the Mosaic district. We had good services for one meal and slightly less good for the second. They are not usually super busy so we were surprised the second time around. We particularly like the zucchini cakes, Greek salad and dips. We love Halloumi and saganaki but theirs is not the best I've ever had. We would be willing to go back!
google avatar

Raadhika V.

Yelp
Tried this place with some friends in December and it was great! The ambiance is warm and inviting, they even had live music on a Friday night, which we loved. Staff were efficient and kind. We tried several items on the menu: the Gigantes (a delicious tomato bean dish with butter beans), the Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), the grilled halloumi and Saganaki cheese dishes, and a selection of three spreads - the hummus, tyrokafteri and tzatziki - accompanied by the softest pita bread. Everything was very fresh, flavorful and delicious, and service was very quick despite the restaurant being packed with diners. It is definitely on the pricier side, and bear in mind that you also need to order several small plates to share as portions for the vegetarian options as they are on the small side, since they only have vegetarian appetizers, but no vegetarian entrees, only meat and seafood ones (I'd love to see a couple of those on the menu in the future!). But it is well worth it for a special occasion!

Yelp
Visited Our Mom in person this past weekend, and we've been ordering takeout from here pretty regularly since their Mosaic opening, so this is a general review for how much we love Our Mom! Food is super fresh and will transport you to a little taste of cozy Greek life. Typical order for us is a Greek salad, the fried zucchini, and two orders of the fileto souvlaki skewers, served with lemon potatoes, plus their house-made bread. This weekend we tried the salmon entree with spinach rice - lots of dill flavor coming through. Interior is a bit on the smaller side though they've expanded their patio to across the street near Pupatella. Servers are always kind and attentive. Don't miss some Greek wine!

Yelp
So glad to experience Greek food in Mosaic at Our Mom Eugenia! The restaurant is very cute with Greek decorations, paintings of Athens etc. Space is on the medium side, however, we feel spacious enough with a stroller. We ordered the special appetizer - watermelon salad. It was served in cubes with feta and honey. I gave them 5 stars for the presentation, we were expecting more "greens" but it was mostly watermelon and feta. For entrees, I had the chicken breast and my husband had the lamburger. They were both delicious and tasty. The chicken was marinated with herbs and spice and it was this sourness that made it awesome. The menu is on the pricier side but you can expect to leave with a full stomach. We ended up not needing dinner that night after a big lunch. Come on a weekday and the lunch menu is very reasonable. Service was great, the food wait time was reasonable. Will recommend!

Lance C.

Yelp
Went there at 5pm on a Saturday and was told no tables were available until 8pm. Went online and was able to make a reservation at the same location at 5:15pm, on the same day. Obviously they didn't want us there, so we won't be back.

Yelp
Such a delightful restaurant in a charming little neighborhood. The grilled octopus was amazing! Better than what I get in Positano!! The lamb chops were spectacular along with a perfect greek salad. Add in amazing service with the perfect greek wine suggestion and we will definitely be back. Just wish we lived closer. Go! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Our Mom Eugenia in Mosaic has a good and convenient location with several parking garages close by and a nice neighborhood to stroll after your meal.  The interior was open and bright with the option of outdoor seating as well.  The service was good and the food was fine.  We had the three spreads to start.  Of these, the itrokafteri had the most flavor.  We opted for the vegetarian platter to share with the table and were surprised when it only came with one spanakopita.  We thought that was strange and awkward.   The dolmades we were served were completely drowned in their sauce which made them look kind of unappetizing and overwhelmed the flavor of the filling.  Our favorite appetizer was the flaming saganaki which is always a dramatic dish to order and very tasty.    We ended up ordering more spanakopita so each one of us could have more than a quarter of one....  We also had the paidakia and the fileto souvlaki which were all fine.  For dessert we had the apple cake and the baklava.  Again, each was fine.  There wasn't anything particularly wrong with our meal, it just didn't really stand out.  I'm thinking we will probably explore other restaurant options, even in Mosaic itself, rather than return.

Yelp
Great little space with lovely menu and a nice vibe. Service was good and the appetizer portion of shrimp with orzo hit the right notes. If you're in the area there are lots of choices and I would definitely choose this one!

Yelp
5/5! Absolutely had a great experience here at Our Mom Eugenia! The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. I've been eyeing this Greek spot for a while now and finally had a chance to try it out. The Food: With so many options, it was hard to pick. So my friend and I had to get a few things that stood out to me and try. For our appetizer, we had the Grilled Haloumi and the Tzatziki Spread. For the entrees, we had the Thalassina and the Moussaka. The appetizers were delicious! The Grilled Haloumi was a nice type of cheese that I haven't had before so it was a different texture, tasty regardless. It had a nice sweet sauce to top it off as well. The Tzatziki was fresh and flavorful as well. The Thalassina was absolutely delicious! The flavorful sauce of the dish all soaked in the orzo was amazing. The seafood was cooked perfectly as well, and the portion of the dish was very generous. The Moussaka was amazing as well, all the ingredients were fresh and nicely paired together. The Service: The service was very good! The staff were friendly and attentive. Even while sitting outside, they were nice to check on our table and see how our meal was. The Atmosphere: The restaurant inside was nicely decorated and clean. There is a small area for outdoor dining, and when the nice weather is out, I'd take advantage of those spots. Overall, a 5/5! The food was amazing and the staff were friendly. Can't get better than that, I'll be coming back again for sure!

Nicole P.

Yelp
I love this place. My only complaint was the manager berated our waiter in front of the entire patio. It was off putting and our waiter was great. I'll be back but if I see managers demean staff I won't go back. Treat your staff kindly. They work hard.

Yelp
This place is definitely the best Greek food I've had outside Greece! Very authentic. I believe the owner is related to someone at Nostos so it may be their sister restaurant. Nested in the heart of Mosaic, they have both an outdoor terrace and indoor seating. I came twice in one week, once for lunch on a Saturday and for dinner Monday night. Our male server was very friendly and attentive for lunch, but our server for dinner couldn't have been more dry and wasn't as attentive (didn't bring sharing plates without being asked, forgot one of our drinks for a while, poured still water into club soda then tried to pour sparkling water into the same cup twenty minutes later). The Greek salad is authentic as it gets with good quality feta. The dip trio is fantastic, and the lamb with orzo was melt in your mouth good. Could have used a little more ratio on the orzo though. The meat dolmas are sizable and delicious. Octopus was fresh and cooked perfectly, though the beans were missing a little something for a lunch, maybe a squeeze of lemon or salt. For improvement- dinner service was less of a vibe than midday lunch. Lights were full blow on, and it felt like 90 degrees when we walked in. Kitchen closed at 9 as well which were weren't told in advance even though our reservation was for 8. Prices are a little high but portions are bigger than Nostos, guess that's the trade off for quality ingredients. Will definitely return next time I'm in town!

Yelp
I really want to give it 4.5 stars, actually. We really enjoyed our lunch here. This is a cute little place in Mosaic district so be aware it's going to be busy on weekends and parking will require some patience. My husband and I began, as we almost always do, with the cocktails. Old fashioned is just a good old fashioned, nothing to write home about. The Mykonos mojito is refreshing and light. I liked it fine but not much st. germain flavor coming through which I was hoping for. Next up was a dip sampler platter. The Skordalia was my fave! Light, fluffy, and addictive. I could eat it on its own. The Tzatziki was second best, classic flavors done well. No notes. Tyrokafteri had a prominent feta flavor -- maybe a bit too salty due to that but it was hubby's fave. As usual for these places the Pita was warm and soft but not enough. It's NEVER enough. For mains I got the vegetarian platter and he got the chicken. Per hubby the Chicken breast had good flavor, not dry at all. The potatoes were delicious and cooked perfectly but green beans were overcooked and not worth it. The Veggie platter is, overall, well worth it and even my carnivorous husband was eating some of it. Best part was, surprisingly, those fantastic gigantes. Those beans were cooked perfectly and the spices just came through beautifully. I enjoyed the beets immensely and didn't think I would. The pistachios add crunch and a salty goodness that works well with the sweet beets. Eggplant was a good idea but in execution it's too heavy on cinnamon. It was the only thing I didn't finish. The Spanakopita was just perfect: not greasy but still a flaky phyllo dough with a filling that wasn't too much feta or too much spinach. We would try different drinks next time for sure but other than that we had a really lovely experience overall.

Yelp
We went here today for the first time for lunch and had a great experience! Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was somewhat small and had nice decor. It was pretty loud inside through during the lunch hour. For appetizers we had fried zucchini and the Greek cheese platter. The fried zucchini was extremely fresh and the tzatziki was some of the best we've had! The Greek cheese platter had feta cheese, walnuts, grapes, olives, manchego, and halloumi. We really enjoyed all of the cheeses on the plate. For our meals we had the special strawberry salad, filet mignon with potatoes, fish roe with pita, and the grape leaves. Everyone throughly enjoyed all of their entrees! The strawberry salad was extremely fresh and had red onions, crumbled feta, and walnuts. The salad had a little too much red onion, but otherwise was very good! The grape leaves were amazing and the best we've ever had! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly but there were a few chewy pieces. The potatoes had great flavor and complimented the filet very well! The fish roe spread was very tasty and had a mild fish flavor. The moussaka was delicious! The spices were perfectly balanced and the beef was tender. We will definitely be back again soon!

Yelp
Mediterranean vibes and excellent service. Came here for a weekday lunch and ordered their special for the day. It was chicken and shrimp kabob on a bed of rice and string beans. $32. 3 pcs of chunks like thumb sized white meat and 2 pcs of shrimp. Way over priced. I could've gone to moby dick's and not be broke over lunch.

Yelp
Our Mom Eugenia is a lovely concept and has some great Greek food. My friend and I got all appetizers and left satisfied. We also got three spreads - Tirokafteri, Melitzanosalata, and Skordaliá. I liked the first two, they were full of flavor and unique. I wouldn't order the Skordaliá again - it was basically garlicky mashed potatoes. The octopus was nearly perfect - definitely some of the best tasting octopus I've ever had. My only recommendation would be to char it a bit more so there are crispy bits. The lamb was good, but needed a more bold flavor. Overall, the food was good and light in flavor, service was good, and the ambiance was nice and cozy. I would recommend bringing anyone that likes Greek food here.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for our Supper Club meet-up. I was a little turned off initially because although the food looked good, it didn't seem special for some reason. Before we came I looked at other reviews and I saw the prices increased significantly from just a month before we came. I'm talking $4+ for each item. I thought that was a lot, but I gave it a try anyway. Let Down: - No gyros on the dinner menu, only on the lunch menu What I ordered: - Beet salad- it was a large portion - zesty feta - 4.5 stars out of 5 - Chicken skewers - I ordered this since they didn't have the gyro and configured my own at the table Prices - Pretty doggone high There's another Greek restaurant I love in another city, so I'd likely go to that one instead.

Yelp
Nice Greek spot in Mosaic with outdoor seating. On the pricier side but service is great and portions are generous. We got sooo much seafood in our thalassina I couldn't finish it all. My husband enjoyed his lamb over orzo. My favorite dish was our beet filled appetizer Patzaria & Pistachio Skordalia. Food was extremely mild in flavor and a bit heavy on the salt for those conscious of sodium intake.
