Our Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner experience so all family members could get together: Family of 5, and spent over 200.00 and this is what we experienced. Without exaggeration, most of the food, including the steaks/lobster were just above room temp (lukewarm). Expecting nice & hot with some amount of steam like at home, but this was not the case. This included the main entree's and baked potatoes, no noticeable heat. The only thing hot was the French Onion Soup.
50 bucks for 13oz Ribeye / Lobster: The meat was very chewy and tough, with lots of gristle and loads of fat in just about every bite. Low quality meat?
The rest of the family agreed that our food must of been sitting for a long period of time before it was served.
Lobster was so small, 3 maybe 4 small bites, it was gone.
The thinly padded cheap foam booth seats are very hard and uncomfortable. May as well been sitting on hardwood. As for booth seating, there was not enough room to cut your steaks without elbowing those sitting next to you. Very cramped for 5 adults.
Although our family was actively happy, quietly talkative, and having a wonderful time with ordered cocktails before dinner was served, the Waiter himself seemed somewhat distant and impersonal. The appetizer plates weren't even cleared when our entries arrived.
Over 15 min's wait before receiving check. Still left a 20 dollar cash tip.
All together, I would not recommend Outback Steakhouse to anyone. Only to let them know how very disappointing, and find a better alternative with better reviews.
