Mourning the Food Workers Who Lost Their Lives to COVID-19 - Eater

"O’Neill even met his wife at an Outback. They both started working at the restaurant, located in Raleigh, North Carolina, on the same day in 1992 — O’Neill, as a bartender in training to be a manager; Mendi O’Neill, as a server." - Jenny G. Zhang

If you find my review helpful please give it a 👍 thank you I was traveling with a friend and we decided to come to this Outback Steakhouse. If you wanna be treated like family? Come to this Outback and let Emily and Cadence wait on you. Both ladies were extremely attentive and made good recommendations for things to try! (They also have great taste in perfumes) Pro the new menu options at 14.99+ on long desert I was too full to finish my entree so I have leftovers. Cons no cons here!

UPDATE: Yesterday, my mom and I went to this outback steak location for the second time, and it was wonderful. The manager, Wilbert, was incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly, making sure we felt welcome. The staff was also very warm and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, and the bread served before the meal was especially my favorite—so tasty! The restaurant was clean and not too crowded. I will definitely be going back there soon! We got takeout today and I'm really glad we did because we were not disappointed. The employee who brought the food to the car from the to-go order carry out was very courteous and attentive. The food was delicious! I chose the new steak and tail. The lobster tail was delicious, and the steak was well cooked. I will most certainly return to this restaurant.

The Outback is a great lunch place. It's not too crowded and the servers don't have too many tables. Service was quick and efficient. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was clean and not too noisy. I've been to the Outback several times for lunch and always enjoyed it. This time was no different. Check it out.

There was no alfredo sauce in the Queensland Chicken & Shrimp Pasta. The Alice Springs Chicken® had a long, dark wad of hair cooked into the cheese and mushrooms that almost made me vomit seeing it. Feel sick the next morning and have an upset stomach after only eating the side salad, fries and Sydney Shrooms. Very disappointing and disgusting. If I could give 0 stars I would. Will not be going back.

The place is fine, but it has things to improve. I went with some friends, and although the food was good, nothing surprised me. The service was somewhat slow and the waiter forgot to bring us a drink. The atmosphere is pleasant, but there was a lot of noise. He may come back, but he is not in my top.

My wife and I with a group of friends dropped in to eat for lunch yesterday. Our waitress was Emily and she met us with a big smile and she walked us through all our options for a great dining experience. Our food was great and our service was 110%. What a treat to have Emily taking care of us! I think her talents should would be of great value to the Outback Management Team. We are not related but she made us feel like part of her family. Telling everyone about the great service we received there.

So I dined here around 3:45pm today, Sean was our waiter. He totally nailed it!!! I originally ordered the Chimichurri steak, but they were out of it. But I was curious about the chimichurri sauce. It’s very flavorful and is really good with the bread roll too. The ‘NEW! BONE-IN RIBEYE* WITH BOURBON ONION’ was delicious!!! Huge juicy mouthwatering steak just dripping with perfect seasoning and flavor. The sweet baked and wedge salad was the perfect addition making it the perfect meal. The kid meals didn’t disappoint either. Sean was very kind, personable and attentive. He asked the right questions and kept our glasses full.

My husband and I ate there yesterday. As ALWAYS, the food was delicious. We had the nicest waitress! Very friendly, accommodating to my picky needs and so attentive. SHe kept checking on us to see if we needed anything with a smile on her face. Emily was the nicest waitress I’ve had since we have been going there. Keep up the good work, Emily and Outback. Keep being excellent!

Yelp
My order was ready..the food was prepared as ordered and hot. The Capital Blvd location is my favorite and very friendly staff.

Yelp
Wow - Had the following in here when I went to write my review. I have no idea when that is from. I take notes generally before I write the review. "Chris - the best waiter here, in my opinion. Side salad balsamic Hamburger Brownie and ice cream - Chocolate Down Under amazing" 5/2025 They have amazing special - Aussie 3 course meal. For $14.99 and 17.99 we had salad grilled shrimp on Barbie and 6 oz Center cut Sirloin. I had the, very nicely flavored, Sirloin with potato and broccoli because I didn't have an appetizer. The broccoli was Al Dente and superb. It comes with Cheesecake but I paid extra for gf Chocolate Thunder Down Under- you just can't go wrong! Jaccara was a really nice and efficient waitress.

Yelp
I went for Father's Day dinner. I called ahead so we could get on the waitlist. We waited about 15min. We were seated at a table, and the waitress had so many tables it took a while to get things. She was really friendly though. She answered questions, brought out lots of bread as it was asked of her. We did have to wait some on plates and silverware. It was really crowded, as expected. They had these new garlic chicken bites, and they were so good. That was the best thing I had. The food was good, and she even brought my mom a free cheesecake like we got with our meal deals. Any time I go back home, we go here, so I'll be back.

Yelp
My husband and I shared our 6 year wedding anniversary here tonight and we had a great experience. Emily was our server and she was so sweet and provided professional, quick service. Thank you Emily!!

Yelp
Service and server were great. The reason for a 3 is as follows, when we entered the building it was 73 degrees outside, but freezing in the dining room. Most of the guests had sweaters and coats on, we requested twice to adjust the temperature but it never happened. The salad and veggies were best part of the meal. The sirloin was scorched and very tough. The ribs were fatty and had lots of bone fragments and cartilage you had to sort while chewing and spit out on a side plate. I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the sirloin and ribs, there competitor Texas Roadhouse has them beat hands down on this combo plate. It had been a long time since I died at an Outback, for the $$ spent, I'll probably won't be back for awhile.

Yelp
We got here a little before 4:30 pm. It was DEADDDDDDD. The hostess said that her server just got there & he's not taking any tables. So, we had to sit at the bar. I was a little annoyed at first, but I'm glad it happened because the bartender was the BEST server we could've ever gotten. I don't know his name, but he was there on 6/2/23. He loves to talk. He kept the bar clean & was very attentive to us. The food was yummy & everything was fresh except the bread. We still ate it because we were starving, but it wasn't what I'm used to from Outback. The blooming shrimp didn't taste as good as I'd hoped, so I won't get those again. But everything else was good. There's ample parking available. The restaurant was pretty clean. They just lacked servers when we were there. I recommend. Just go sit at the bar.

Yelp
Back in 519 I bought a lobster dinner and I was not happy with it. The potatoes was cold. The steak was too raw and the broccoli was overcooked. This is the second time that I wrote about my experience at Outback. No one has gotten back to me, but I was very unhappy. Thank you Barbara Speed.

Yelp
We have been doing a fair bit of traveling of late and eaten out more than usual. We have had the fortune of having great service, incredible wait staff and some memorable meals. After a very long day in Raleigh, we headed for Outback, if no other reason than we wanted a known quantity, a hot steak and an adult beverage. Here our streak of good service came to a screeching halt in every way imaginable. My partner ordered a beer and I contemplated what I wanted. Our server came back with his beer and I pointed to red cabernet on the menu and said I wanted the Cabernet from Australia. Our server replied "that would be a white wine for you?'. My finger was still poised on the menu on the red wine so I corrected him and he apologized. Meanwhile we ordered dinner and salads. It took three tries of him not listening before he finally got our identical orders down. Fifteen minutes later, when my glass of wine had yet to appear, my boyfriend went to the bar and explained what we were waiting for. The bartender pointed to a glass of wine sitting there and explained it had been there waiting for quite some time. As my boyfriend brought it to the table he passed our waiter who apologized profusely. The salads arrived then - mine with the wrong dressing. The salad person asked if I wanted it anyway and I politely declined and asked the right salad be delivered. I suggested my boyfriend not wait because I was getting a feeling things were not going to go well. Our steaks arrived with our sides of mushrooms swimming in broth. This was all good until we suggested a spoon would be nice.. The person who delivered the meal agreed and promised to be right back with spoons. We waited and then fished them out with forks. Spoons never arrived. As we finished our steaks, my salad made its appearance and the woman delivering rightly guessed I probably didn't want it any more. We asked to speak to the manager... the second in command arrived. We explained our dissatisfaction in great detail and she agreed the service had been subpar. When we found out the manager/ owner was on site we asked to speak to her... she must have been with the spoons because she never arrived either. However when we left we correctly surmised the woman talking to the hostess was the manager and my boyfriend told her exactly how unhappy we were ... I was too disgusted to be honest. On the plus side, they did comp our meals but we won't ever be back. You can overlook it when one thing goes wrong but everything does, it speaks of really poor management. Incidentally, we couldn't help but overhear our waiter apologize to the tables on either side of us for forgetting about them.

Yelp
Been here a couple of times -- always because I chose to compromise than put up a fight. This place is lazy. The food is cranked out standardized and uniform as any Outback. The service... the cleanliness of the table, the silverware, the bathrooms, the floors, et cetera... all lazy. Lots and lots of "little things" that add up to "we should have gone to another place" or "we should have gone to the Outback on _______". Last time we went, it was April 20th (4/20). I should have known better, but I totally didn't connect the dots until an hour into our meal. Our server appeared to be SO HIGH and COULD NOT remember ANYTHING as they floated around the lobby oblivious that they were screwing up everything and holding us hostage for 2 hours. I mean, I get it. You work at Outback Steakhouse. Of course there's a 90% chance you get high. But c'mon... have some professionalism. Get high enough to do your job and then maintain until the rush ends.

Yelp
Just don't go to this location. The manager was a little more passive than I would have expected when we showed her the piece of steak pictured. This was actually the worst food mess up from a kitchen i've ever experienced. People 100% get sick here and there's no way the cooks or runners are experienced. It shows. It was such a bad service experience and there was a huge piece of wax paper cooked into my steak and served to me. Also, it took more than 20 minutes for our cocktails to be served to us, therefore i didn't order more drinks because I knew that it would be a waste of time waiting for another one. I will not be coming back.

Yelp
Salad was cold and delicious.. We enjoy the warm pumpernickel bread and butter with the blue cheese dressing Ordered the Unlimited Soup and Salad for $8.99 and started with the House Salad and Baked Potato Soup. Well, the salad came first and had to ask for the bread? Yep, you guessed it.. Had to ask for our soup too? Although the restaurant appeared to be fully staffed our table literally received each item ordered one by one. And, yes.. we only ordered the soup and salad. Had to wrap it up and request a "hot" loaf of bread and a "hot" cup of soup to go. Servers were friendly but service was super slow? The "hot" bread and "hot" cup of soup was pretty good. Plenty of parking.. will give them another try at some point.

Jeff H.

Yelp
The service was good, the food wasn't. This chain is not very good anymore. The quality of the food was greasy appetizers and no meat on the ribs. Quite frankly it sucked.

Yelp
Pretty Standard Outback, in a new location. Outback used to be my 'go to' on the road place to eat because they are pretty consistent in their menu. I mean I ate at the one in Beijing of all things. I was a huge fan. Was. I keep going back every six months forgetting, but over the last few years however someone who cares about pinching profit out of crap food has gotten ahold of their menu planning and gone to cheaper things especially in the side dishes. The cheese now must be pre-shredded and covered with sawdust to keep it from sticking which makes it melt funny and It's not right on the salads, to make matters worse the fries are now 'crunch enhanced' instead of fried nicely so the cheese fries combined with that crappy cheese aren't what they used to be. The ranch dressing still has that different taste to it which is good, and the steaks are solid and usually cooked correctly. Staff has always been great. Just not the great place it used to be, now just kind of a good mid tier restaurant.

Yelp
Shout out to the awesome take out team and manager! They have been hustling hot food through the rain and when I had a minor condiment missing from my order they quickly corrected and got me hot food for the wait! Everyone has been so friendly and kind throughout my dinner. I even observed the host and another server escorting some elderly guests out to the vehicle! Nice to see good customer service isn't completely dead.

Yelp
I wish I could give zero stars, the wait to get a drink was excessive. I asked to not sit in the bar but got seated in a booth in the bar. They ended up comping our entire meal I ended up not eating hardly any of it because it tasted off. I won't be going back. They had a host which was a helpful young man and another waitress in the bar was very helpful as well, but our server was never anywhere to be found. I won't mention his name because we all have off nights but man this was off the charts.

Yelp
First visit since Outback relocated to this location on Capital Blvd. I went for Sunday lunch right after attending church, and believe I got ahead of the after-church crowd. I was seated immediately upon arrival. I ordered the steak and grilled chicken combo, with the baked potato soup and seasoned rice. The soup came out first, and I liked the portion size and the flavor with the bits of bacon and cheese. The entree arrived in a timely manner. Steak was seasoned and cooked just right, and the grilled chicken had a good flavor. I also enjoyed the taste of the barbecue sauce. Server was polite, prompt, and professional. Overall very pleased with my dining experience.

Yelp
Excellent service everything was prepared perfectly. We will definitely come back to the Raleigh location. I'll server was extremely attended to our needs and made us very comfortable. Everything was prepared perfectly. Looking forward to our next visit. Gabriel was an excellent server for us.

Yelp
We have eaten here a couple of times during or right after Covid and service was subpar, but they have seemed to have made a full recovery. Our experience last night was excellent. Cesar was an excellent server and Cassie (proprietor) made sure that everything was to our satisfaction.

Yelp
Before this visit, I had not been to an Outback Steakhouse in years. They used to be the best game in town. Best salad, best shrimp on the barbie, best entree, etc. then something happened and either the service was bad or the food was not very good depending on which day of the week. So I just stopped going altogether. So I was invited to an old coworker's milestone even and it happened to be at Outback. I was excited to go because it had been a while and this Outback appeared shiny and new. Our party of 8 was warmly greeted by the staff and eagerly pushed several tables together to accommodate our party. Drinks were taken and my UN-sweet tea came out sweet tea and among the party drinks were mixed up. Things sort of went down hill from there. My "Signature" grilled chicken sandwich was just okay and wasn't very warm as though it had been prepared first and sat while everybody else's entree was being prepared. There were various other complaints among others is the party, about the entrees, but today we were playing with house money, not our own. So it seems that Outback still hasn't gotten its groove back yet. I don't know what happened, but it has happened across the board and seems to have impacted pretty much every location I go to. The reviews of others here are accurate and the rating is justified. There are better options for this type of food all over Raleigh, especially at this price point.

Yelp
Came here to get some of their ranch dressing togo. Love their dressing. Hostess sent me to the togo area which was in a room at the back of the restaurant. Waited like ten minutes before anyone came to help. I had togo back up to the hostess stand to ask her if she could help me or send someone there. So she did. All this for some dressing that I couldn't even purchase. The guy that came to help me acted annoyed that that was all I wanted. Rolled his eyes and even chuckled at me for what I asked for. Needless to say he said we don't sell our dressings but I'll give you one small tiny container of it. Lol funny guy. Won't be back here any time soon. Staff wasn't friendly or helpful.

Yelp
We visited on Wednesday, Apr 24, 2024. It appeared they were not using all tables and had only enough servers to handle the tables they had available. We had about a 10 minute wait to be seated. Our visit was prompted by an email informing us of a steak and lobster special for $19.99. For that price, one got a 6 oz sirloin and a modest lobster tail, plus two sides. We got salad and baked potato. They offered an upgrade to an 8 oz sirloin plus lobster tail for $22.99, plus their regular menu offerings. Silverware and glasses appeared to be clean. The service was very good. We got a blooming onion as an appetizer. Our salads came while we were still eating blooming onion. My wife tried adding onion petals to the salad, and that actually worked well. Salads were good; dressings were good. The blooming onion was more than we needed. Four to six people could easily share one. I'm pretty sure they swapped our medium rare and medium steaks, but both were in the range we would eat. I usually order medium rare to avoid getting a medium well steak. The steaks and baked potatoes were very good. The lobster tails were not huge, but very enjoyable, especially dipped in melted butter. We were full and happy when we left, and considered it a fair value for the cost.

Yelp
Last night I took a friend to this Outback on Creedmoor Rd Raleigh for dinner as his birthday is right around the corner. We have been here many times before and have always had a good experience. This time was not the same. My friend had 1/2 rack of ribs and a sweet potato while I had a medium rare hamburger steak with a baked potato and an onion soup. The rack of ribs seemed much smaller than in the past and the sweet potato was small. My hamburger steak was very under cooked and not even warm while the potato was not warm also. I asked for A1 sauce 3 times before it actually arrived. I was already half done eating my meal. I would have asked for the steak and potato to be cooked longer but I didn't want to have my friend wait for my food to arrive. I was very disappointed in our meals and would have expressed this to an employee, usually a manager I assume, that in the past would come to our table and ask us how our meal was. This time no one came over. I think the food and service here has gone done considerable since we last came here just 4 months ago. I don't know if last night was an exception or not but right now I would not recommend this Outback and I'm not sure if I will return.

Yelp
Out of town on business and wanted a steak. Went to outback around 19:00 on a Tuesday, to my surprise they were pretty full. Sat at the bar and ordered a ribeye. Steak was cooked to perfect temperature, and had a nice marble to it. Salad was good, and fresh. Conversations at the bar were good, I enjoy talking to locals, and talking about football. Service was prompt, and other servers were willing to help the bartender as he was consistency as getting orders for cocktails and specialty drinks.

Yelp
This is my opinion everyone has one. 1-5 Parking 4 Wait 3 Staff 4 Food 3 We started with hopes of having the Aussie pasta but they were out of the original noodles so we decided to just have appetizers. Wings -3 the wings were seasoned well but the feathers on the wings made them a little unappetizing. The cheese fries were not as I remember We ordered quesadillas we're great taste and worth ordering again. Unfortunately with the full house, the staff was spread thin but they did a great job making sure your needs we're met

Carolina D.

Yelp
Ordered layered cheese fries through takeaway. Before pulling away checked to see if they were layered and could not see the cheese so I requested a recook. The recook took 25 minutes and this was the result. Also the takeaway server tried to tell me the first order was layered...I am still leaving 5 stars because the ratings of this store are already pretty bad but still wanted to show these very sad cheese fries. I worked at Outbacks for 10 years and was craving this, I personally would have never let this leave the kitchen. Best of luck to the success of the capital blvd store.

Yelp
I have to give Outback a thumbs up for their customer service. Not only did we have a great server (Jazzy Blu), but their new manager Brad(?) was very personable too. We can be a little picky about how our food is prepared or served, and each time we had a request, we got service with a smile. That really meant a lot to us, because it felt like they cared, and that goes a long way in our book. Oh, and their cheesecake was marvelous! I was kinda expecting a cake with that store-bought taste/texture kinda thing, but was pleasantly surprised... this was a velvety creamy and not overly sweet kind of cheesecake. I ate this so fast that I forgot to take the picture of what it looked like when it came to the table, so I took a picture of what was left. :b Thanks!

Shaury V.

Yelp
The food was salty over all, I asked for no onions and no pickles in my burger AND GUEST WHAT, it had both. when I told the server he said "sorry" and walked away, the audacity. My sister asked for a refi and had to wait 10 minutes to get it, we understand the servers have a lot of tables but please be more aware of the requests when it comes to the food.
google avatar

Markiesa B.

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon , got seated right away but because of them being short staffed we had to wait like an additional 7 minutes till our server got around. I felt bad for the server because it was just her taking like 7 tables in one section will barely no help. I decided to try the boom a Rita which was a margarita flight of 4 different flavors ; blackberry, watermelon , mango and the basic lime one. They were all good could've been a bit stronger though. I also had the brisket sandwich which was just ok felt like it was missing something. If I do come back it would be just be for drinking . Hopefully they hire more help

Eduardo P.

Yelp
Was seated down for and was there for about 30 minutes and not a single server bothered to check if we had gotten helped, they were just walking past the table.

Yelp
Don't eat here. The places is dirty! The tables next to us stayed dirty the whole time we where there. We could see in the kitchen and the floor was wet. The service was slow. My BF ordered a beer and he never got it.

Yelp
Our server said the word amazing 7 times during our meal. Yes, she was amazing! Food was ok.

Yelp
I had came in for some apps and drink. Keyera was our server for the night. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable on what to recommend for drinks. She constantly checked on our table. It was very good lighting everywhere. I will be sure to come back and ask for you again. Awesome service Keyera!
google avatar

Keia R.

Yelp
The service was good but the food was too salty. We sat at the bar and watched the game. It wasn't busy during the time we went so that was a plus. The overall experience was okay & the food could have been better.
google avatar

Helaina H.

Yelp
I've eaten at all the Outback locations in the RTP area, and this one is my favorite. Wait times aren't too bad, even on weekend nights, and the waitstaff is great. The best of the apps is the famous Bloomin' Onion, with its rich, flavorful dipping sauce, but the Sydney Shrooms, Aussie Cheese Fries and Coconut Shrimp are excellent as well. Entrees - my favorites are the Victoria Filet and Alice Springs Chicken. Their prime rib is delicious and practically melts in your mouth. This is a great restaurant and the Australian atmosphere is fun. Happy eating!
google avatar

Trenai R.

Yelp
Our server Briana was amazing ! She was very attentive, personable & kind. She checked in on us frequently & made sure our food came out hot ! I highly recommend sitting in her section the service by her is unmatched ! Thank you Bri !

Yelp
It was medium busy for a Saturday afternoon and with a good amount of customers, we figured it would be pretty good. The host seemed preoccupied and wasn't engaged. The wait staff took at least 15 minutes to come to our table. It took another ten minutes to order our meals. We started with the Bloomin' Onion. It was fried too long and a little browner than it should have been, but still okay. Next we ordered the Prime Rib. We waited another 15 to 29 minutes for our food. I can't fault our waiter, he was young and still new, but obviously not getting any help or supervision. The cut was great and cooked perfectly. The mixed squash and carrots were underdone and sort of cool. We paid our check and left but my partner and I both weren't feeling too great after. He wound up with a full blown case of food poisoning. I felt rough, but no where near as bad. No going back. This is a definite NO.
google avatar

Jo Jiselle K.

Yelp
We arrived approx 9:05pm so 55 mins to closing and there weren't too many people in the restaurant maybe 4-5 tables and 4-5 ppl at the bar. This was our first time here at the new location, overall the inside looks nice. The food was good and overall the waitress was nice, but my boyfriend said he could tell she was ready to go.
google avatar

Yelp
Wings burnt. Taste like they were cooked in old oil. How can you get hot wings wrong?
google avatar

Mary S.

Yelp
Quickly has become our date night spot! Iv tried expensive, fancy steakhouse & they can never seem to cook the steaks correctly. Partner is a chef so we get alittle snobby with our steaks. For the most part steaks are normally overcooked, but not at Outback on Capital! Ifs perfect everytime, the herb butter ontop is amazing, staff is super nice. Cocktails are very light and very sweet, just fyi. But for a chain steakhouse, very good prices, very delicious food!!

Yelp
4/9/23 Outback on Captial Blvd. Raleigh NC . ordered 12 oz Prime Rib with baked potato ,the Prime Rib was half fat and the bake potato was cold also had to ask for bread which should come out before meal . plus tables from customers that left where not clean. Will not return to this Outback.

Shadow H.

Yelp
Steak was horrible and made a weird sound hard as rubber. Waiter was nice and gave good service . The food was not good if you come here only good thing they have are the wings nothing more nothing less -10/10 will not come back in this establishment.

Gary S.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I , both got food poisoning at this location, on Feb. 1, 2023. Both sick as dogs for over two days. Not worth it at ANY price. I have NEVER been this sick in my life.

James H.

Yelp
I got a ribeye medium with fries and Mac and cheese. The steak was raw and the fat on it was barley cooked. The mac and cheese and fries were basic. The service was bad. I asked for a refill 3 different times to two different people, and it took 15+ minutes to get refilled. Not worth the 30 minute wait.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
We have been to this site numerous times, with good service and food. That is why we went back tonight. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. We sat at the bar and were greeted fairly well and given menus. But that is where the wheels fell off. We had to get someone's attention to order drinks. We asked for water and started to order drinks and the bartender walked away. When they brought the water we asked for drinks but the bartender acted like she did not hear us. We sat waiting. Finally we said we would like to order drinks again then finally got one. Waited 10 more minutes for the other one. We had to ask for bread and had to ask to order entrees. I will say there was some at the bar that for more attention then others. But there were only 6 people at the bar at that time. They brought one salad with the wrong dressing. Had to ask for the other one. Brought the wrong potatoes and the prime rib tasted rotten. Sent it back and got another slice. It was better but still not good. However we didn't complain again. We had to ask each time for more water and more drinks. I'm sorry to say that the service was just not good. My steak was tough but had a good taste. It was just disappointing all around. Not sure we will be back to this particular site.

Yelp
Went to Outback as I have always been able to eat there with no issues. I say this because I have Celiac Disease. Anyhow, we ordered, my order was Sirloin and grilled shrimp. Our meals arrived fairly quickly, but when I looked at my plate the shrimp was on bread. So I callback the waitress and explain the issue. I had to have the food redone and the manager comes out, very apologetic explaining that the grilled shrimp appetiser is served over bread. He did concede that bread is not mentioned in the main dish and that the error was the fault of the restaurant. Fair enough. Moving on I'm barely into my meal (my daughter has already finished hers), when the waitress comes over with the bill and asks if we'd like boxes for our leftovers-I'm still eating! My daughter says she will, so within a minute the waitress is back with the card reader and boxes in hand, and wants me to sign for everything-seriously! I wasn't even halfway through my meal. Never again.

Yelp
Ordered the ribs, baked potatoes and salad. The St Louis Ribs were tender snd the baked potato was fine. No issues with the salad. Overall the order to go was good. It met my needs but it was pricey.

Yelp
Went in on a Sunday after 6... service was slow. I sat at the bar because i thought i would be able to get in and get out....boy was i wrong. This isn't the first subpar experience I've had with this location. They also have terrible phone etiquette as well as in take a away. Okay so back to the bar.... I was sitting at the bar a good 10 min while the bartender walked around helping others. I understand being busy (keep in mind there weren't very many people at the bar) but i wasn't even acknowledged or given a menu. So when she does acknowledge me she gives me my menu then doesn't come back for another 10 Mins...at this point i order my wine and wait for my food order....it's been about 25 min at this point and still have not given my order. . . At this point i normally would have left but i really really wanted some wings and clam chowder and to watch the UNC game LOL When i finally did get my food my soup was COLD and my wings were fried a little too hard...i hate to complain but i had to send them back i just couldn't eat it.... management never came to check on me after i sent my food back and all they could do was give me 15% off my bill (which equates to $2.67) after waiting almost an hour and a half to get wings and soup............. The management here is phenomenal (Meek made sure everything was good) and the bar tender was nice despite the service she gave. If you're in this area living or even visiting and craving outback go to the creed-more location....you might have better success
