Bumped into them just on a whim... best luck I've had googling something in a long time. Staff is pleasant. Atmosphere is relaxed. Food is fresh and VERY good. Price is not too bad either. However they do NOT serve huge portions. You get enough satisfy a normal appetite. Larger appetites bring a larger wallet!

I love this place! Can't wait until they too are a part of #DTLocal I've had the soul rolls(yummmmy), fried green tomatoes (yummmy), peach cobbler, Mac n Cheese. Haven't had the shrimp n grits yet, but I will. I luv shrimp n grits. Everything I've had thus far is really really good. Ms. Angela(owner) is really nice, professional. If there's something you not sure of she will let you sample, in which I appreciate. Thanks Ms. Angela. I hope you guys try it out. I'll have to take pics next time. Enjoy &be a BLESSING!

Ova Flo is a small sit down restaurant with seats and tables outside. However, their SOUL ROLLS are everything. Rolls filled with soul food! Please order them!

First time customer, but won't be the last. The food was absolutely scrumptious! The macaroni touched my soul at first taste. Their cooking is straight out of a family Sunday dinner - delicious and made with love. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Definitely worth you stopping in.

We went on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is very, very small, but cute. Presentation was on point. The food was just okay, the yams were the best thing. I will say that I'm a total foodie and critical about my food. The catfish was well seasoned, the dressing was too salty, the cornbread taste like dish soap and the mac n cheese lacked cheesiness. Overall, I'm glad that I was able to support a black owned business. Oh and the music was great!

My daughter took me for dinner. The food is good but I do agree with other reviews, the portions for the sides could be bigger. The price of my entree ($15.99) warrants more than a 4 oz scoop of pasta or yams. Other than the portion sizes, I had no complaints about the fried catfish I dined on. I automatically ask for hot sauce with fried fish but this was perfectly seasoned. I didn't even use it. (Louisiana hot sauce! Not Tabasco. Not Chula. Thank you very much!) It's a very small room but cozy. The staff is very welcoming and efficient. I'm not the biggest fan of soul food but I will go back because: 1, it's in my neighborhood; 2, there are a few things on the menu I want to try (soul roll for 1); and 3 the owner's family and my family are from the same hometown in Mississippi! Yazoo City in the House!! I will recommend them highly.
