This place is a gem. This little coffee shop has so much to offer. Scones, chocolates, coffee, lemonade, and specialty drinks are all amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

The chocolate is so well balanced. This is the work of a person who really understands flavors and textures. Clearly created out of a desire to make something really good. Best chocolate shop I’ve ever been to.

Ok here’s the deal. They sell these small squares of dark chocolate with various stir in’s, and I’ve become completely addicted to the orange ginger and the fig fennel. They are an absolute must try. 10 stars if I could!!

THE BEST scones I have ever had...and I am a scone fanatic. Coffee and cookies also pretty good. The wait staff was so kind and efficient. The 3 stars for atmosphere have to do with the outside seating which is limited, tired and old. All they need to do is clean it up a bit and make the space a little more attractive and this would be a stellar 5 star across the board

Awesome place. Coffee ice cubes!!! I got the Greek coffee frappe, which had foam. It was sweet Nd creamy and delicious. Fantastic blueberry scone. Can't wait to try the chocolates I bought 😊

Walked in while generally strolling through the ups and downs of Amesbury streets . . Was welcomed wonderfully . . . Had some peanut butter covered with chocolate and found it delightful . . . To make sure we remember the place, bought a pack of "Nothing But Nuts" chocolate . . . Ovedia Artisan Chocolates is one place that one can not easily forget once you've been in there . . . .

The coffee and chocolates are excellent but expensive. Unfortunately, the customer service is subpar, leading to an awkward atmostphere. I had intended to work from Ovedia a few times a month, but the loud converstaion among coworkers make it difficult to concentrate. During my recent visit to Ovedia, I waited for many minutes at the cash register without being acknowledged, despite being the only customer there. Although the staff member briefly made eye contact with me, she quickly looked away. While I understand she was busy making a latte for another customer, a simple "I'll be right with you" would have improved the experience. Also, other staff member were present but they also did not acknowledge me.

Best chocolates and coffee in the Northshore! Fair prices and welcoming atmosphere, largely due to the kindness of staff and ownership. Our favorite place to get coffee!

Very disappointing. Hot chocolate wasn't HOT. We had to suck it down. We each ordered a truffle and she gave them to us without even a napkin. No greeting. Not thanks for coming. Won't be back.

We went in and waited to order a couple of coffees. The woman behind the counter was talking to a vendor (I think). She never stopped and addressed us in any way and we eventually just left. In my opinion I think she was rude. We will not be back.

Staple with in our community. We have been going here for years, and its one of the best parts of living in a small town. Cozy, and top quality everything every time we go in.

Wonderful iced coffee and chocolate and scones I just don't feel when I go there that the staff is particularly I don't know I don't wanna say the bad about people I am uncomfortable a little bit when I go there. I would go more often that's the truth I feel like sometimes when I go there the people are as cold as they need to keep the chocolates. although the coffee tastes good the scones are wonderful and the chocolates are out of this world. I gave them a four because they are really good quality. I don't feel that the establishment is personable so I don't go there very often.

More like 3.5, but I can't round up. I thought the truffles (stout and a red wine flavor) were fine, but nothing super unique. My iced vanilla latte was a bit on the boring side as well, and I've had way better lattes. The flavor profile was off, or maybe the espresso just wasn't bold enough for me. My BIL's iced chai was fantastic, and I'd get that upon returning. Their flavored iced coffees seem like a better bet than the lattes, and I'd be willing to try one of those as well.

Definitely over hyped. As the ice mocha was decent but not great, the ice coffee did not have a great flavor and definitely would not get again. I also got a chocolate chip cookie thinking it would be awesome since it is a chocolate store. It again was okay, maybe just not what I expected. It wasn't soft and it wasn't crispy it seemed in the middle but a little on the stale side. I might get a latte again but we will see the chocolates did look good but have not tried. If your looking for good coffee I recommend trying somewhere else. There's a ton of places around here.

A neat little chocolate shop tucked off of Main Street in an old mill building. This is the retail store for Ovedia Artisan Chocolates, which are sold at a select few shops in MA, NH, ME, CO, and WI, including Butcher Boy in North Andover and Philbrick's Market in Portsmouth. Ovedia sells the chocolate barks, bars, chocolate covered nuts, truffles, caramels, and coffee beans. The items are on the pricey side, most items already packaged ready to go. They also have a small coffee/espresso bar in the shop, some baked goods to go with your drink (short or tall sizes). I strolled in here only for a tall Iced Coffee ($3.15 with tax) which was pretty refreshing on a very hot day. CLOSED on Mondays

I'm a VERY picky coffee drinker. Some say java junkie, others coffee snob. Regardless, I love this place. The cold brew is smooth and delightful. The ice cubes are the perfect size and coffee. So, as they melt... you don't lose any of the flavor. It was so busy this morning, but the lovely barista at the counter hustled with the biggest smile. Just want to give a shout out to Meghan - we think you deserve a raise :)

Coffee is not good. Chocolate was pretty good! Will be returning to try more things. There is a nice seating area as well.

Chocolate, need I say more? An assortment of delicious truffles. I've always been a fan of the strawberry balsamic. But equally as important is the reason why I frequent the joint, there's also coffee, teas and hot chocolates. Chili pepper hot chocolate with a shot of espresso is a favorite of mine. It's a small space. Standing room really and a fairly open kitchen. Great for gifts. They have nice little boxes. No exactly cheap but as they say, you get what you pay for. Oh, if you're in a savory mood try the fontina and pepper scone. They also have a few other pastries and cookies available in the morning. Limited onsite parking but easily accessible from most of downtown Amesbury. If you're not ready to commit to a truffle there's little chocolate bark bits too.

Hidden shop in the back of the Main drag and in between two buildings. The coffee is excellent and home made chocolates are even better.

Though I'm new to Yelp, I have been coming to Ovedia for years and years. I love this place. The owner, Antionette, is a doll. The staff as well is very friendly and efficient. The chocolates are to die for, and the coffee is every bit as awesome, hot or iced. The hot chocolate selections are amazing too. The sweet smell of chocolate and crowd of happy people always lend a great vibe from the moment you walk in the door. I host out of town clients from time to time and this is one of my "go to" places to take them because I can count on Ovedia being consistently excellent. I was very surprised that other reviews don't mention that you can buy the coffee and chocolates (and gift boxes) on their website and have them shipped ANYWHERE. Many of my clients, once they leave town have done this. And if I ever move out of the area, I will too.

It's always such a pleasure to stop into Ovedia! Antoinette, the owner is so sweet and always greets everyone with a smile! Her entire staff is always pleasant and welcoming! The environment is beautiful and simple with a touch of warm lighting! While they're known for their chocolate, all of their espresso beverages are phenomenal! If you're ever visiting Amesbury, i suggest stopping in for a scone and a cup of coffee!

This place is amazing. Great coffee and unbelievable chocolate. Antoinette is a true chocolatier. I highly recommend the bananas foster truffle, it is to die for! Ovedia turns chocolate into art. You can see the time and years of dedication to the craft in each piece of chocolate

I lived up the street from Ovedia for several years and never got tired of the delicious chocolate smell when you walk in their door. The staff is incredible and is my favorite part of the visit. When I stopped in to pick up a mixed box for a Christmas party, the woman who helped me painstakingly selected, placed, and wrapped the chocolates. The truffles lasted about 10 minutes at the party! This place is pricey but the quality, flavor, and selection are all 5-star. I recommend the shop to locals and to non-locals who truly love artisan chocolate.

Gorgeous and delicious caramels and truffles. Wow. Incredible quality in the crafting of these chocolates. I dig their iced chocolate and coffees. (they even use the coffee and chocolate for the ice they add to them so they won't get watered down!) Expensive? Sure. But you gotta pay for quality. This ain't Russell stovers people. PASS

Paid top dollar for a heart-shaped box of chocolates for my valentine. He shares:) This stuff is the real deal. Truffles and caramels, all of it, all ridiculously delicious. Thank you! Have also tried the hot chocolate here, which is small but tasty.. the whipped cream is bomb.

With a confession that I don't drink coffee, it's thrilling to walk into a bakery that is known for its hot chocolate drinks. You can purchase the basic hot chocolate (which is anything but basic, given its dark chocolate base) but you can also splurge on drinks with white chocolate, caramel, mocha, and more. And, yes, you can order coffee or tea if you prefer. They also have a selection of muffins, scones, and other pastries if you don't feel like buying their handmade truffles or small pieces of chocolate goodness. I don't suggest going too frequently as you're paying for gourmet/boutique prices; but then again they have a customer appreciation card where you buy so much and you get your next drink free.

Wow.. Talk about an incredible stop. I visited the shop today and ordered a delicious coffee brewed to perfection. The dark blend of coffee was well complimented by a superb raspberry scone and two milk chocolate swans that delivered a fantastic fill for my chocolate craving. The vibe is simply chocolate ornamental with a half cottage/half brick feel. I will most definitely be visiting this spot more often. Well done.

Stopped in on a whim after my husband had been playing disc golf in town and I had a hankering for coffee. I went onto Yelp to see what coffee places were around and saw this little chocolate store listed as a coffee place as well, with 5 stars to boot. A chocolate store with coffee? Sign me up! So we stopped in and I got a latte that I can't remember the name of. But it was the most delicious coffee drink I have ever had! I believe I told my husband that it was an orgasm in a cup *lol* I will definitely be making the drive from Haverhill a frequent trip!

Dear Iced Cinnamon Almond coffee I want to wake up to you every morning. But I live in California :( I'm pretty upset about our long distance relationship and that I only get to taste you like once or twice a year for a weeks time. Something needs to be done about this. And no I don't want to bring a bag of you home in attempts to make an iced you only to be disappointed that it tastes nothing like the real deal...it's the experience, it's the coffee ice cubes, it's the cool chocolate purses shoes, frogs and turtles I get to splurge on for my daughter, it's the straw! It's the frothy cup! it's the friendly service.... Til next time

My first visit to this chocolate shop happened to be on their 10th anniversary celebration - a chocolate fountain with all sorts of dipping foods (complimentary) greeted me along with a friendly staffer who offered a slice of anniversary cake (on the house). Good coffee, yummy chocolates and lots of happy customers - loved it! Definitely a place I will return to soon.

I'm a dark chocolate connoisseur so I know my chocolate. I won't even eat most places chocolate as I prefer high quality. This is the best chocolate North of Boston, maybe throughout Massachusetts. They treat you exceptional well and remember your favorites. I like the figs and pear that Hockmeyer gave to me as a vendor. Once I has it I came to the store and purchase a small bag almost weekly. They were out of the figs and pear for several weeks and my mood was greatly impacted! I bought other selections and was still yearning for my favorite. I came in today and they gave me a free bag as they recognized my plight. Now that was something!

I love going here for their iced coffee. The ice cubes are made with coffee so there's not watering down and their flavors are delicious. Everyone is always very friendly as well.

Yummy.... Get an outrageous iced coffee and I always get a few dark chocolate pecan turtles or some of their incredible bark to go!

Great little spot for a snack and coffee. Scones, pastries , chocolates and muffins. I was recommended the mocha Carmel iced coffee.... Best one I ever had! Met some friends down there and sat outside at seating available. Look forward to returning. Funny to run into some old friends there. Will definitely return

Nice little artisan chocolatier, makes great coffee too. I never fail to stop in here when I'm in Amesbury running errands. It's not fast or cheap, but seriously, it's good value for the time and the money.

Delicious chocolates, artfully made. I don't indulge in them too often, but when I do I'm always happy. What I come here for most often is the coffee: lattes, cappuccino are all well made and delicious. And the home made hot chocolate is amazing too! Their brewed coffee is good, they usually have a nice selection of interesting varietals, and always have a fresh brewed decaf choice that's interesting (instead of the bland generic decaf a lot of other places offer) They have a small selection of whole bean coffees too, so you can take some home to brew up later. It's a cozy shop with a few high tops, a few seats at the counter and a few seats outside. It's easy to get to right off main street in downtown Amesbury. Not a lot of parking outside the place, but I've never had a problem finding parking there, or nearby on the street somewhere.

I'll leave this review short and sweet, just like Ovedia. Once again I had a great experience and I have to say probably the best cup of coffee I have ever had. I would definitely recommend this business!!!!!

Amazing chocolate but even more so is their coffee. Such great coffee and the best part is that they use coffee ice cubes in their iced coffee! A rarity among coffee shops that I really appreciate. Don't miss out on this gem of a place.

FIrst of all, they will soon be open on Mondays, and late on Thursdays! Barbra Vogel left the corporate world to start Ovedia over 6 years ago, and has built a beautiful business. She and her staff are devoted to great chocolate-making and a perfect customer experience. Her barks are wonderful, and the chevre truffles to die for. There are usually seasonal treats, too. You have to try a mochavedia hot or iced. Yes, Ovedia is on the pricier side, but I promise you will be comparing every other chocolate you have to Ovedia, and finding the rest infereior. Forget your Hershey's, Godiva, and all those other wannabes. We LOVE Ovedia!

This is our favorite chocolate chop in the state. No gift is complete without some Ovedia bark, truffles, caramels, or coffee involved! We buy the coffee beans to make coffee at home, but we also will get coffee there. The iced coffee has frozen "coffee cubes" so when it melts it doesn't water down the coffee. They carry soymilk, which is great! The Mochavedia is delicious (iced or hot mocha) but you can't go wrong with the hot chocolate or the other coffee drinks. Get a homemade marshmallow on top and you're good to go! We go in at least once a month and our christmas gifts are their packaged hot chocolate and they are always a hit. Totally worth the visit!

The best coffee and espresso drinks !!!! The shop is very clean and organized with a great hip yet cozy feel. Located downtown in a historic mill building setting. When you order a iced drink they use coffee ice cubes which really enhances the flavor just do they charge extra for it , they also sell coffee by the pound all high quality and great tasting. As for pastry and baked goods: they had an interesting selection and all looked appealing. The staff has always been friendly, helpful and great with suggestions. Price: you are paying for quality , If want a real properly made espresso or chocolate this is the place , though it would be nice to have some promotions on occasion. oh I should not forget they make great chocolates that are a real indulgence . This shop make a detour to Amesbury worth the extra miles off the highway. Be warned when you go there you just can't compare them it to anything else.

Wow! I'm not the one to write up bad news but today was not a good one over at my favorite hot spot,I got a gift card for ovedia 's from my husband and I stopped in today to get my HOT CHOCOLATE AND WHIP CREAM AND HOMEMADE MARSHMALLOW . I came in and was asked what do I want ?(rude) When I asked for a hot choc,she just turned walked away with out letting me finish ,I said whipped cream and a marshmallow on the side. Then she walk over to her co-worker said out loud well I never heard of that one before ,(marshmellow on the side)and then asked me where to put the marshmallow ,I said on a plate .i didn't want it in the hot choc because it melts real fast an I like it as is ,you don't get homemade marshmallow everyday . The word SURE to my request would have been a more plesant experience . Dec 28 2013 3 o'clock shift girls need to go to customer edict classes ,never be rude to paying customers , I'm very sad for the owner who works so hard to build a company and has a employee that isn't showing respect to her customers. I love this place, great service, and very informative if you are not sure what to get. I love love love the chocolate here and the pastries and the coffee ice cubes make the ice coffee off the charts. The price is great!!

The chocolate from Ovedia is superb and everyone there is awesome. I've taken batches into the office in Cambridge and everyone loves it. All of the chocolate is delicious: truffles in the case, bark, chocolate lollies and anything they make. My favorite is the quail eggs at Easter time: caramel covered in chocolate with a candy shell. Sheer genius. I don't bother to buy chocolate anywhere else because it will just make me wish for chocolate from Ovedia.
