Over the Cole’s BBQ

A Taste of Texas in Utah! My family and I have been on the hunt for a brisket that rivals what we had back in Texas — and we finally found it at Cole’s. When we arrived, we were a little surprised to see it inside a multi-market building, but the atmosphere was still warm and welcoming. One bite of their brisket and it was like we were back in Texas. Pro tip: ask for the fatty, burnt bark — most customers apparently don’t request it, but it’s absolutely the best part, and they brought some out for us. The bark was spot on. The fries were fresh and served hot, which is always a win. My wife ordered the brisket salad and called it “to die for.” I got the meat by the pound, and honestly, it was more reasonably priced than other spots we’ve tried in Utah. The rolls are store-bought, but paired with that meat, it didn’t even matter. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic brisket!

I didn’t love it as it is food court style but the food was good, sides variety was good. I will definitely bike here next time. The food court tables were mostly not cleaned when I arrived but I noticed they cleaned them when I was leaving. This restaurant staff were very fast. Food was ready in no time. Didn’t love the food court style but is great if you bike here.

We tried this place out the other day and it was delicious! This place is located in a Holladay mess hall. I LOVE places like this! It’s one giant building with a hunch of littler restaurants and food places inside. So we will definitely be coming back to try the other places as well! We both ordered the brisket burritos and shared some smother fries. And I feel like we definitely got our monies worth! The burrito was so filling! And it was packed full of meat, unlike some other places where they only give you a little bit and lots of rice and beans. It was fall apart good and so juicy! The fries were delicious too! And they were even good later when I reheated them back up for dinner! Im a fat kid at heart, so one of my favorite things in the world is sauce, and they had a pretty good selection! All varying in spice level, sweet vs. heat! Can’t wait to go back and try their other menu items!

Great atmosphere at the block party upbeat positive team, as well as plenty of fresh condiments to fill up on before you even get your food. Enjoy definitely check out the three meat burrito(trinity) hospitality at their finest enjoy family! Wow

Came In tonight, first time. It was delicious, I had a brisket sandwich/coleslaw, my friend had 1/2 slab of ribs, salad and coleslaw, he said it was delicious. Michael at the counter was great. We will be back!

The food is AWESOME, brisket is tender and moist, the Mac n cheese is delicious and the corn bread is also delicious, plus+++ it comes with a drink which is awesome for the price. The quality vs. price match! If you are wanting to try a new brisket place, look no further. The staff is very friendly, great customer service! I will be coming back.

The pork and were dry. Beans tasted like they came out of a can. Coleslaw was nothing original.i would have rather had KFCs coleslaw. I could have bought the meat and cooked it myself and it would have probably tasted better and would have been half the price. The idea behind the dining atmosphere is cool. The portion size is better than most places

Great atmosphere very laid back and open. The staff was phenomenal and very friendly. Serving sizes were pretty good but be sure to order the 2-3 meat plate if you’re hungry. Our group left very happy!
