"If you’d rather dine beachside in Ocean City, enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner at this beloved restaurant on the boardwalk. Stop in for Oves’ famous apple cider donuts and coffee on a break from your morning bike ride or pop in for dinner with a view and choose from a wide array of starters, sandwiches, and entrees that fill the menu, such as a fried flounder sandwich or chicken parmesan entree." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Your classic hole in the wall type eatery. My server charlie was fantastic, The food, drink and the check came in a timely fashion. I ordered the flounder sandwich. It lacked flavor and I had to use the salt and pepper provided to get any flavor out of it. Worth $20? No. I don't think I'll be returning here, but it was pleasant nonetheless.

Atmosphere was as expected in a casual Oceanside seafood joint. You can’t beat the view. The place, however, was pretty cramped even for end of season. You’re sitting so close to the next table the wait staff can’t even get through. The staff were very attentive and kind. Food came out within a reasonable timeframe. My mother got shrimp scampi which she said was fine but lacked flavor and definitely could’ve used some garlic. Sister got a NY strip steak medium, but it didn’t come out pink at all. She said it was fine anyway, and ate the whole thing. Husband got Steak Sandwich which he said was great, and the Manhattan Clam Chowder was okay but not something he would order again. I got Chicken Rose, which I thought was fabulous and would definitely go back for. I’m a pasta girl and this definitely checked all my boxes. It was a hefty portion so I took half home. Brother got a salmon special, which was cooked perfectly and tasty. My MIL got the Stuffed Shrimp which she thought was absolutely fabulous. I would come back here.

First time at Ove’s this morning, we had a wonderful experience. It has a wonderful atmosphere and service is fantastic, we were served quickly and got our food without waiting a long time. I ordered a water and I really appreciated the size of the cup that I got for the water, it was enough to last throughout the whole meal. I had scrambled eggs and they were light and fluffy, and the home fries and toast was delicious. My mom had ordered over medium eggs, and the only compliant was that the eggs came out over easy, but she enjoyed her meal as well. The seating isn’t inside completely but it is nice and cool, they have shades and fans overhead to keep you cool on a hot summer day. Overall, great service and breakfast. I will be returning here again!

Been way too long since I was here! Memories, nostalgia, combined with great service and food all right in the boardwalk!! Don’t miss this spot if you’re in Ocean City NJ!

Google
Location, Location, Location, right on the boardwalk at 4th. Inside and outside seating along the boards. The restaurant is clean especially the bathrooms. The menu is a standard breakfast-type restaurant with locally acclaimed homemade donuts. Most traffic is for coffee and donut pick up. There was no waiting at 730AM and was seated boardside immediately. But, as time moved on it was getting busy. My breakfast did not consist of any donuts because the waitress said that they are fried in lard, so I had three eggs, home fries (baked), and whole wheat toast with coffee. (Lard is a byproduct of pork and I am an eggetarian) The coffee was real good, and the eggs were OK, but the home fries were a lil dry, with no onions or peppers added and the portion, I would consider small. My waitress was accommodating and very friendly and helpful and checked on me a few times. Overall, the experience was good but should I go back, I will try something different like pancakes.

Google
Honestly not worth the money unless you were getting fried food. Let me explain: Wife and I got salmon and steak. Both were deliriously overcooked (salmon was leathery with no texture and the medium steak was well past well-done territory. The corn on the cob was oddly both hard AND chewy, which didn't make for a decent side dish. Here's where I think fried food is the way to go: The batter-dipped fries were incredible. Honestly, best on this side of the boardwalk. Other people who had fried entrees and side dishes were oohing and aahing and, to be fair, they looked and smelled great. But, if you're looking for actual food that isn't something breaded and deep fried, look elsewhere.

Google
We've been there several time on this trip. We love the crabcakes, the breakfast, lunches and the view. Great servers too.

Mark S Smith

Google
Really good apple cider doughnuts. Competes with Browns for the best in OCNJ. Make sure you try the chocolate and vanilla glazed as well as the traditional cinnamon! Also tried breakfast there today and it was terrific. Good service as well. They provide surreys as well, so we took advantage of that. Overall, a very flexible place.

Jackson E.

Yelp
While it was certainly a great experience, I can't say it was five star worthy due to the atmosphere. We sat in plastic chairs, and the restaurant is completely exposed to the air (it was a bit chilly). However, the food was great. We dined for dinner. I had the burger and I ordered a side of fries. The fries were excellent, and the burger was pretty good, too. Service was a bit slow, and the restaurant felt a bit unkempt, but all in all, it was good food.

David G.

Yelp
Service so-so but cook not good. We ordered special omelets and got a different order. Then the specials came and didn't include the cheese as ordered. It was a dry omelet. This place is off our list of must do each year.

Erin S.

Yelp
Still have to give them love. They could probably amp up the quality of food for the price- but they have location and lack of competition. I have no issues supporting this beloved family business and plan on continuing to frequent oves in the future.

Tom L.

Yelp
Stopped here at the end of one of my daily early morning runs on the boardwalk. Then walked back to the place we rented for the week. The apple cider donuts were delicious and were fresh and warm. Tried the vanilla frosted, cinnamon sugar, and plain. The vanilla and cinnamon sugar were delicious, especially fresh and warm.

Lovely A.

Yelp
The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is overall good. I ordered a salmon everything crusted dish that was too salty. I came back the next day and had scallops that were alot better. They rent out bikes, sulley's and umbrellas in addtion to their food services.

Sara P.

Yelp
Awesome American style breakfast! Great restaurant, staff and family. Grew up going to this restaurant after church on Sunday's, forever a local favorite.

Sarah C.

Yelp
Do NOT get the crab cake- it was incredibly underwhelming for the price. The sides were small and everything lacked flavor. Fine for getting a meal in a pinch, but definitely not for a delicious experience.

Jeff H.

Yelp
If you're riding a bike or strolling on the Ocean City boardwalk in the morning, one of the best places to stop is at Ove's Beach Grill for one of their doughnuts. These tasty creations are made from apple cider and come in various flavors - don't miss the cinnamon - and are best eaten warm and fresh from the oven. That's why there is always a line to purchase them. There is also a restaurant attached to the takeout counter but I have never eaten there so this review is only for the delicious doughnuts. Now try to eat only one!

Rachel C.

Yelp
If I could leave no stars I would, I found a coarse hair in my donut. I'm not sure how they're prepared but beware going to this establishment. I am not positive how clean they are. This is not a time to be unhygienic during covid and monkey pox

Claire H.

Yelp
My favorite aspect of the summer is biking on the boardwalk to get donuts. I love coming here. There is rarely long line and if so it moves quick! The donuts are hot delicious and mouth watering!!!

Glenn M.

Yelp
They have a monopoly in a small area of the boardwalk and act like it. Unclean, too many teenagers who have no idea what customer service is. Their bathroom policy for takeout and people renting bikes/surreys is to make them walk 15 minutes away to a public restroom - unacceptable. Avoid - don't rent a house in their area of town. Either go closer to the main area of the boardwalk or go closer to Browns which is a well run operation.

Mike B.

Yelp
Good food and great service. Had the scallops, spaghetti and Crab Cake dinner. Amazing location on the ocean. Prices seemed too cheap, so we were concerned with the quality, although the food and quality was delicious. Would like to try breakfast this week and the donuts. For a location like this with no competition, increase the prices to reduce the wait times! We waited 30 minutes for a table for two!

Geoffrey R.

Yelp
We got a breakfast sandwich on a bagel and a dozen doughnuts. We did a side by side with Brown's for the doughnuts. Taste is extremely similar but Oves's is crispier on the outside. Oves is slightly better and the line isn't as long. No brained for me in regards to doughnuts. The sandwich was fine. Link sausage instead of patty was a good change of pace.

Andrew B.

Yelp
If your riding your bike, keep going. The best donuts are near the bay and not at all on the boardwalk. These are convenient but not that good.

Kay A.

Yelp
Great apple cider donuts! You gotta go early though. They stop baking them around noon, so go in the morning. But they've got regular apple cider donuts, chocolate ones, etc. They're all delicious. Very nice staff, too!

Dan R.

Yelp
Tried to buy my family doughnuts. Sadly they only make them in the morning. My 4 year old daughter had to use the bathroom, but they were clear that she was not allowed. We were told there is a public restroom 5 mins away. How do you have the nerve to deny a 4 year old!!? We legit were trying to buy doughnuts.

Kirsten M.

Yelp
Yaaaas Oves, the only place where you can get mediocre boardwalk food with a complimentary side of both attitude and incompetence. Every time I have gone here it's something new: -It took 15+ minutes to get 2 $8 porkroll sandwiches (which by the way consist of one slice of pork roll on a hamburger bun) and a side of fries. -The last time I went to use the bathroom I got attitude from one of the employees that the bathroom "isn't a public bathroom, it's only for customers". Excuse me? I just ordered $15 dollars worth of food (which got me 2 things by the way) from the 12 year olds that run your food stand. I think that qualifies me as a customer. I mean I guess it's pretty difficult to gage who's a customer and who's not being as they require you to walk completely around the building and up a ramp out back to get to the bathroom. Also be careful of the net they put up to discourage the public from using their restrooms (which me and another customer were accused of intentionally knocking down even though it was already on the floor when we got there). -Also if you really wanna get into these exclusive bathrooms; you know the rest stop bathrooms that you stop in because you have no other dignified choice? Where everything's inexplicably wet (like everything including the toilet seat)? Picture that. - My friend left from the beach to walk over and get a bag of ice for our cooler. She asked the 10 year old working the register whether she could use her card or not. He did not know. When he asked the other 10 year old employee, he did not know either. (Spoiler alert: you can). It took an additional five minutes for someone to find a bag to put the ice in. Maybe this place is such a disaster because you have tweens running your business. The "cooks" are behind the line rapping Eminem and cursing in front of customers. The table where you get your condiments is always filthy dirty. Get your act together. Overall 0/10 and would never recommend.

Yelp
Update: Ended up coming here as a last minute necessity. Lowered to one star, purely because of how outrageous the prices are for the food. $25 for greasy stuffed flounder that is probably actually frozen is an absolute far cry. Maybe I'm just a prick who lives near nyc and expects a better meal for that price. But I've been coming down to OC for 19 years with my family and it's just incredible that we've only had to eat out this year. In years past, we always homecooked our meals, and judging by how ridiculously overpriced everything is here, we need to moving further. I don't care that it's overpriced--it's a beach town--but I care that it's overpriced and not even good. Went a few days ago. I come here every year when I may family comes down to Ocean City. Last year we didn't come, so I was excited to get some cheese fries ar Oves on the beach. A lot can change in two years, I guess. Everyone was screaming at one another, cursing, and downright verbally abusive to each other. Seemed to be understaffed, but this was occurring in front of customers, who were just waiting for food. They couldn't keep track of orders--a boy had been waiting for 2 cheeseburgers for about 15 minutes before I was given the burgers, even though I ordered cheese fries. When the cook put them in the window, the cashier (who'd been screaming at everyone) yelled it him, asking "what the f*** is this?" The cook replied, "Fries." Cashier replied, "Why the f*** you make fries?" "Because you said so." At this point, I said they were mine. He then tossed them on the window. I then ordered a bottle of water, which was warm, so I asked for a cup of ice with it. Keep in mind, about 10-15 minutes had gone by at this point. After I got the water and ice, I handed the cashier my credit card, to which he disappeared with for another 5-10 minutes. I even saw him walking around the place with it in his hands--it struck me as odd (but no suspicious charges yet). Finally, he comes back with the receipt that doesn't list what I ordered on it, and just the amount. It was $9.58. I just wanted to get back to the beach so I signed and left. As I walked away, i realized there was no way I could have been charged that much, since Cheese fries are $4.50 and water is $2, so with tax that should be around $7. I couldn't see where that charge came from, since the receipt didn't have any of the specifics on it. I went back to the window to ask, but everyone was busy dong

Yelp
Ate here for both breakfast and dinner. Definitely recommend breakfast for a nice sunny meal by the beach. There cinnamon donut is AMAZING so hot and crispy on the outside but so squishy on the inside. Our dinner was just ok wish the sandwiches came with fries. Definitely not a fancy place the chairs are plastic but nice because of boardwalk access.

John R.

Yelp
I have been to Oves my entire life. The service and food are always subpar. The location is great for lunch.

Rich S.

Yelp
Father and daughter had breakfast there Friday, August 5, 2022 around 7:45 am - ordered 2 eggs over light, toast and home fries. The eggs were over done (only one of the two had a semi-runny yolk while the other yolk was almost hard for both of us), potatoes were dry and deep fried potato cubes. Very disappointed. The coffee was the best of the entire meal that my daughter and I had. We will not go there for breakfast again!

Meghan M.

Yelp
Our go to place for boardwalk donuts every time we are down! We are always able to find parking, little to no wait for donuts, staff is always friendly.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Food poisoning. Don't Do It! I've foolishly tried Oves a few times over past 10 years. Lobster dinner = food poisoning. Crab cake sandwich = food poisoning. This year was the final straw. I had to post a review to warn the newcomers. It is worth a few block walk to Brown's. Not only is the food safe, the service is pleasant and quick.

L M.

Yelp
Went downhill. Used to love taking our bikes to breakfast here. The food is old and cold. The potatoes were served to us burnt , dry and old. No one noticed this? The cook or the servers. Won't be going anymore

Caroline G.

Yelp
Overall great place. My waiter was super nice and the food was amazing. The coffee was really good as well. I recommend the cinnamon waffles. The view is great!

Bill S.

Yelp
Places is a joke run by a bunch of kids. Ordered ahead , got there when I was supposed to, waited an extra 20 Minutes for my food which was wrong and didn't taste good, they were out of most things on their menu . It is what is it , the only place to get food around so it will never change. If you can avoid it , go elsewhere .

Rachael A.

Yelp
Oves is a great restaurant for breakfast or a great spot to get a donut on the go. I ate in the restaurant & ordered donuts to go. I chose a cheese omelette. The omelet was delicious as well as the coffee. Staff and service were great along with the food. I highly recommend eating here if you want to eat as close to the ocean as you can for breakfast. I will definitely return here again for both their food and donuts.

Gerald H.

Yelp
REVIEW FOR BREAKFAST. Stopped in for breakfast in my first visit to OCNJ. More of an OCMD guy- boardwalk, mini-golf, Phillips, etc etc. At any rate, stopped in from walking on the boardwalk to what seemed to be the only food joint nearby. Friendly staff greeted us and say us in the cool, shady dining area. Ordered coffee and water and placed our orders. RIP YAMS. Ordered a couple meals and shared a French toast because fat people. FOOD: I ordered a ham and cheese omelette with home fries and toast. My first inclination was this was a cubed home fries kind of place- not potato slices. But I was wrong. I seem to be wrong a lot. Anyway- the home fries were somewhat cold and soggy. More of a hot and crispy kind of guy. After I polished them off (and broke wind only to blame the old lady sitting adjacent to us) I moved to the omelette. Fork in, pull apart, and white cheese. OMELETTES DESERVE CHEDDAR OR YELLOW AMERICAN. White cheese is like the American flag using black white and green. Omelette was still good, and big for that matter. SERVICE: Girl was attentive and quick to get is our food. Would've like to have a refill sooner but hey, it's a busy joint. I would recommend this spot for breakfast, I see other reviewers butching the other meals but for breakfast- you can't go wrong.

Matt F.

Yelp
I'm not one to write bad reviews. Typically, I just look the other way and warn against a place by word of mouth, because I realize that this is someone's business and if it's that terrible, then the outcome is inevitable anyway. That being said, I'm gonna make an exception. My brother orders me a grilled chicken sandwich from this place for pickup and I grabbed the food a few minutes later. I didn't bother to check to see what trimmings or condiments might be on the sandwich because I guess I just assumed for the $11.00 sandwich that it might have some of those things. I asked the nice girl working the register if Mayo was on the sandwich - she didn't know, so I asked for a packet to-go. I'm really glad I did, because when I got home, I opened the loosely wrapped foil to find slices of grilled chicken on a flimsy hamburger bun. I just paid $11.00 for that. Now I'm no stranger to summer beach prices. I grew up in Monmouth County in an area where the seasonal price swing is something you come to know, but this is just pathetic. Fortunately it was edible, but only after I used things in my fridge to supplement this disaster.

Hunter B.

Yelp
The service was nice. 90 cents for one of the best apple cider donuts I've ever had. Very warm and fresh. Definitely will come back for more.

Cassandra P.

Yelp
Best apple cider doughnuts in ocean city NJ! They are very fresh and full if flavor. Give it a try!

Rob K.

Yelp
I had both breakfast and lunch here. Let me break down my three dining experiences... Breakfast, to go. Donuts. Fresh and heavenly. This is a five star experience hands down. They are fantastic. Breakfast, sit down. Meh. I had two eggs, sausage, potatoes. It was ok. Nothing exceptional but you wouldn't go out of your way. Lunch. I had a burger. There were eight of us for lunch. They couldn't bring our meals out together. Service was spotty at best. Burger was greasy but ok. Overall the draw is totally location. Otherwise I wouldn't be running here. Service is a 5/10 on a good day as is the food. Keep your eyes open for other options. There are many, except for the donuts.

Gunner F.

Yelp
Had Oves for dinner and it was very good seafood. I have the coconut shrimp and old bay crab cakes. The coconut shrimp was delicious. They have a raspberry sauce for the shrimp that comes on the side. I'm not raspberry sauce guy, so I didn't like it much. I enjoyed the shrimp as they came out with the dried coconut. The crab cakes were dynamite as rival some I've had in Maryland. They claim they're the best on the island and I would second that opinion. Overall very good food, can get crowded, but I look at it as a product of location and they're good eats.

Kyle S.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place to ruin your vacation with stomach cramps and diarrhea this is your kind of place ! If you like your food fresh out of the freezer with the crisp freezer burnt flavor you will really enjoy your meal. Do you yourself a favor and walk up to Brown's for amazing food.

David K.

Yelp
Great crab imperial and broiled flounder! Love Oves. Can't visit OCNJ without dining at Oves at least once (or twice)!!!

Suzanne D.

Yelp
Great donuts. Love the cinnamon. Last week we found out they have a fantastic lunch with great views of the ocean. Just wish they young kid with the dark curly hair at the front counter wasn't so rude. It would be nice if just once he did Hi. Or maybe thank you as you takes your donuts and slides them towards you without speaking a word. It makes the experience very awkward a hello would be nice

David B.

Yelp
Went here for lunch because it had some great recommendations as a must-do in OCNJ...I walked away confused as to why though. We ordered all lunch things, hot dogs, cheeseburgers, etc... Burgers - they cook these things until it is unmistakably dead, mmmmmm love the taste of charred burgers Waitress brought out one totally wrong item, which was rectified fairly quickly when brought to her attention but then another item, grilled cheese and tomato was missing the tomato.... not the "must do" some hype it as, but it serves its purpose if you just need something to eat.

Colleen M.

Yelp
This is a very casual boardwalk restaurant. My family and I decided to try it on our first night in town because it was close to our rental. It was a Saturday night, but the place was very crowded; there was barely enough room to get to our table because the seats were all so close together. Our server was pleasant and the menu was large, but we were just looking for a quick bite to eat. So we order an grilled cheese and a hot dog (for kids), a crab burger, and a flounder sandwich. We also ordered fries and onion rings to share. Our server brought out these cracker with a side of horseradish. I know they're free, but don't bother. They're like giant, rock-hard oyster crackers with no salt or flavor. My husband called them "bread bricks." When the food came out, it was fine. The crab burger was surprisingly flavorful but it had a strange, mushy texture. Not inedible but not great. The flounder was standard. The rest of the food was good but certainly not life-changing. After our meal, someone cleared the table almost immediately. And then we begin to wait to check. And we waited. And we waited... My husband ended up taking our kids to the boardwalk because they were getting so restless in such a small space. After sitting there by myself for about 10 minutes, our server finally returned with our check to bring up to the register to pay. After tip, our meal was over $50. With the exception of waiting for our check, this place is kind of what I expected. The food was just ok. There are lots of places to eat on the boardwalk, so next time I'll try somewhere else.

Steve S.

Yelp
Staying on Brighton put Oves a block away from our rental and Oves Restaurant on the Boardwalk. We did takeout and dined inside. The food was fabulous: broiled scallops, seafood platter, coconut shrimp, flounder, deviled crab and the best Jersey Corn around. Watching the cooks behind the takeout counter was like watching a ballet - with food flowing smoothly from fridge to plate at a breakneck pace. If you're in the neighborhood- it's a Must Stop. And they don't skimp on breakfast and lunch either!

Jon L.

Yelp
Top notch. Everything From breakfast and donuts to lunch and dinner...even bike rentals. My family and I think the donuts are far better than the nearest establishment Oves has it all. The seafood combo plates for dinner is excellent. Fairly priced and a good amount of food. Oves will surely have us for repeat customers for all of their services. Thank you, Oves, for being part of another great vacation in Ocean City!!

Larissa S.

Yelp
Excellent clam chowder, great crab cake, relaxed seaside vibe. Everything you'd want out of a family restaurant at the beach!

Joel F.

Yelp
Went to the takeout window. Clueless girl on her phone got my order wrong. The story is uninteresting, but let's just say in addition to the order mistakes, they don't have mustard for hot dogs and they don't know the difference between marinara and tartar sauce. Can't speak for the dine in area, but if you're staying on 4th street and you don't mind complete incompetence, visit the window. Also, spoke to the manager/owner? He was nice and apologized, but told me this is just how things are. You can't get competent people to work, to show up, etc. Sad.

Harry S.

Yelp
Oves is a great place to eat on the boardwalk. If your ordering to go make sure your order is right because they have the tendency to forget things in your order. They also offer great donuts without having to wait in a mile long line for Browns donuts.

Ray T.

Yelp
I can't review anything except donuts, coffee, and a breakfast sandwich. Donuts are just plain fantastic. They are made with Apple cider, and come in plain, cinnamon, vanilla and glazed. They come warm, fresh, and can't be beat. Coffee is fine, and though the breakfast sandwich took a while, it was good. Still, it's all about the donuts. Best on the boardwalk. Yes. I can't attest to anything else on the menu, but I don't need to. Donuts and coffee on the boards while on vacation makes a vacation a vacation! 4 stars only because my culinary experience here is limited.

Sam S.

Yelp
Oves, more like toes! But seriously this place is awful. The food is overpriced, overcooked (mostly fried) and an overall disappointment. Ordered the fresh vegetable of the day and received a single stalk of broccoli. I'm no connoisseur but a vegetable shouldn't appear (and taste!) as if it was brought to the table straight from the field. My mistake for thinking a donut shop would make a decent date night location. Would not recommend for dinner.

Chelsie A.

Yelp
Service was mediocre but fast. Location is the only reason for the two stars. Food made me feel ill; from the undercooked calamari, horrible sauces/dressings, uncleaned shrimp and salad with literally giant chunks of toppings one would have to sit and reprep for yourself to be able to eat and dirty tomatoes. The place just reeked of a group of people who just didn't care. You could just just tell no one but the friendly hostesses really cared about their jobs all too much. I tipped our waitress well as i do from having a past in the industry/knowing the struggle of crappy tippers but I will not be back and don't recommend.

Jim C.

Yelp
This spot is convenient to the beach but is worth skipping to go home and make a peanut butter and jelly. I've tried it 3 times and each was less satisfying than the last. The burger was undercooked, the hot dog was cold and the grilled chicken was crunchy and chewy (yuk). Like I said, I'll pass Oves and walk 2 more blocks to get some decent food.

Mike M.

Yelp
I didn't think it was possible to make a dry grilled cheese and bacon sandwich until I ordered from Oves. At best, it was below average. Bread was bone dry, the cheese was barely melted and the bacon was left over from breakfast (it's now 2:30 PM). The fries were cold, but decent with ketchup. Lastly, asked for fresh brewed iced tea. We were assured it was brewed in house....WRONG, brewed by Pepsi; powdered dreck. My first and last trip to Oves. I am fairly reasonable when it comes to rating places, but this was extremely disappointing.

Greg F.

Yelp
If you go, I hope you get served by Matt. As another reviewer already mentioned, his service for our large group was fantastic. Food is just fine for boardwalk/diner fare. View is amazing, especially is you get a seat upstairs.

Michael V.

Yelp
I will let others weigh in on how Ove's donuts rank compared to others in Ocean City. I will just say we ordered donuts to go on two consecutive mornings, and everyone in my family was quite delighted with the hot donuts. We sampled powdered sugar, cinnamon and vanilla iced, and all were scrumptious. More impressive to me were the breakfast sandwiches. When ordering I didn't notice the steep upcharge for meat ($2.45 on top of the $3.75 for egg and cheese on an English muffin), so I was a bit taken aback by my bill. But once I made it back to the condo and had a bite, I nearly forgot the price. People take for granted how an egg and cheese sandwich should taste, but when it is done right, with that delicate balance between undercooked and overdone... the fact that we returned for a second day in a row should tell you all you need to know. Only one ding - we ordered French Toast to go, and they neglected to include syrup. Sometimes French Toast can be cooked so perfectly that one can forgo syrup -- Ove's does not have this down pat yet and the syrup was sorely missed. From what I understand people wait in much longer lines for donuts further down the boardwalk at a competing restaurant. Maybe if I have time to kill I will give them a try, but it seems to me if you can get breakfast this good with a short wait, you're the big winner. You should keep in mind that although the food prep is great, the front staff is made up of and run by kids, so don't expect your orders to be prompt or 100% accurate. These teenagers are more focused on chatting or checking their snapchat than getting orders out quickly. Keep your patience and make sure to check your takeout bag before you leave, to be sure that any necessary sauces or condiments are in the bag and your order is complete.
