Man its been a minute since I've gotten excited about what I was eating...if I were to use one word to describe this place it would be BOLD. I dont think anyone is going to ask where the seasoning is at here. Savory, spicy, citrus, sweet, herby; their anthem should be "bing bop boom bop bam, they not like us!" I've searched for some time for a good nam kod and owl owl delivered a crispy crunchy flavor bomb rice dish worth to be declared as the house specialty dish. I think its a must order everytime you visit! Laos sausage, lemongrass and herbs of flavor paired with two kinds of dipping sauce...if youre not used to lao style sausage it may seem a little on the dry side for some but this place is not as dry as other places I've tried in the past. Would be interesting if they were to evolve it and mix some more fats into it to be more western style and juicy while maintaining that traditional lao flavors. Larb or Laap gai(chicken)- take a look at my photo and notice how its larger pieces of meat rather than the overly ground up kind. This allowed it to be tender and juicy with very balanced flavors. They also had the toasted rice powder in it which is a must. Pad see ew, balanced, flavorful, if I were to be nit picky, maybe the noodle was a little too soft but others might have enjoyed that more like my wife.

I've tried most of the Thai places around Long Beach and surrounding areas, most of them look at me crazy when I ask for peanut sauce or just offer crushed peanuts. This place not only has it, but they serve it hot like it's supposed to be!! It's different than other places, in a good way. They use a red sauce infused into the dish, and you can tell it's definitely on another level, not your average pad thai... this is the real deal . 😎

The food and customer service at this establishment are excellent, making for a delightful dining experience. The interior space is somewhat compact, but it provides a cozy atmosphere where you can comfortably enjoy your meal. It's worth noting that parking is a shared facility with other nearby businesses, so it can be tricky during peak hours. Among the menu highlights, the Thai iced tea stands out for its rich, sweet flavor, while the mango with sweet rice is a personal favorite of mine—it's a perfect balance of creamy and fruity goodness. One downside is that there are no restrooms available for customers, which could be a consideration if you plan to stay for a while.

Google
I come here for the perfect mix of Thai and Lao dishes. If you are not use to Lao food, it might shock you a little bit. It’s strong, pungent flavor. The Somtum Lao Style Papaya Salad with tomatoes, is flavored with fermented fish sauce. Its salt, crisp, and fresh umami flavor. Its a bit heavy on the fish sauce, next time I'll ask to be easy on the sauce and have a little on the side. Also ordered the Pork Belly Plate. It's tender and melts in your mouth. This is a counter service with small dining area. The staff are helpful with a warm smile.

Google
The food I’ve tried ranges from good to great. I come here when craving Lao sausage. The Nam Kao is good, too. My biggest complaint is that there is no customer restroom! Every time I come here I always have to HIKE to another establishment and pretend I’m interested in their products to use their restroom!

I change the review to 3 stars after my 2nd visit because I walked to Office Max to use the restroom in a windy cold weather night. As a paying customer, I still can't use their restroom!! After the 2nd visit, will also be my last. Shop for gifts @ idyliss.store

Indeed there is no restroom here so prepare before arriving. Caveat, growing up eating homemade Lao food, am a bit selective. Kao poon. Broth is how I remember with chicken, semi sweet (coconut), salty, and a bit spicy. Additional dry chili topping but would have preferred fresh chilies. Mok pla. Could use more spice, otherwise other than the salmon, similar flavor especially with the herbs, the dill is what gives it a nice herby fragrance. Pad woon sen. With chicken. Good but not quite enough. Missing the soy/oil aroma, a hint of it is there but not strong enough for me and the noodle a bit overcooked and prefer with tomatoes for acidity.

Google
Great Thai food! Everything was delicious! I love the papaya salad. Pad Thai was great as well, so different in taste than most that I had which I can't distinguished what the flavor is from my past lol. Spot on delicious though! I had it mild but even that was too hot for me 😂. Pork belly was good too, the dipping sauce was the thing that ties everything together for that dish. Oh I almost forgot, we even got the Thai tea with boba . Tea was not spot on though and the boba was over cooked, end up tossing over half of it out when we left. But we'll definitely come back for the food 😆

Yelp
Thai / Lao Street Food Across the Street from Costco Wholesale!! I got the Pad Seew, Somtum Lao Salad, and Thai Tea. I was asked when ordering what spice level I wanted on all the foods. I got mild for both the Pad Seew and Somtum Lao Salad. The Pad Seew wasn't too spicy, it tasted like typical Pad See Ew you could get anywhere. I got mine with shrimp which was $3 extra so for $3 extra, I got 6 average sized shrimps. The Somtum Lao Salad had a kick even though it was mild. It was very spicy, but the flavors are like regular Lao Papaya Salad. The Somtum Lao Salad came with a bag of pork rinds which were delicious. The Thai Tea was good! The employee made it right in front of me after I ordered and paid so it came out pretty quickly. The employee is very friendly. She spoke Khmer very well, and she was very nice! The restaurant is really clean and nicely decorated. Most people seem to typically order over the phone or online and pick it up, or people just order and take it to go. There was no one dining in when my family came in at 4pm on a Tuesday. The restaurant has regular chairs and tables, but they also have a booth on the side. There's a giant mirror in the restaurant which is nice. I believe I read on the counter that there was a $10 minimum in order to pay with credit card so keep that in mind if you're paying with credit card! Everything about this place is nice, and the food was average. It's a good place if you want to grab-and-go Thai or Lao street food, or if you want to try out Thai or Lao street food. I think there isn't anything that differentiates the food or this place from other places.

Yelp
Owl Owl is a perfect blend of Thai/Lao food - it's a tad more pungent than what you'd expect and I'm here for it. We shared the following: -somtum Lao $13.99): Lao style papaya salad, tomatoes, garlic mixed with fermented fish sauce -pad Thai with chicken ($13.99): skinny noodles with your choice of protein, wok fried with house tamarind sauce, bean sprouts, green onion + egg -boat noodle soup ($15.99 : rice noodles, bean sprouts, green onion, beef, meatballs + Chinese broccoli I think we went regular spicy with the somtum Lao and geez was it was spicy. Despite the fire burning effects, the salad was so, so good. I like the Lao version of this salad quite a bit. Unlike the Thai sibling, it's just simply papaya and tomatoes with a very pungent sauce. Delish. Highly recommend. The Thai boat noodles were giving what they needed to give. They were a bit sooty which I didn't mind, but don't prefer. The broth had great flavor - full body and spicy. It more than satiated any Thai boat craving. A friend recommended the somtum platter which gives you a sample of all their apps. I will definitely be back to try it. Highly recommend Owl Owl.

Yelp
Went with my girl here for lunch since she suggested it and it's near her work. We both ordered the Thai Boat Noodle Soup (hers was ultra spicy just how she liked it) and it was full of umami. It was so flavorful. We also ordered the friend wonton and Thai Tea and they're great. Definitely gonna come back.

Yelp
The flavor of the food is okay. I guess because I'm Asian, I've tasted much better and know how it's supposed to taste to my liking. The steamed salmon is pretty good. As for the *Nam Khao*, I was quite disappointed. The pork belly, I liked, but my husband didn't enjoy it because it was fried. The service was okay. By the way, you order first, and then they bring the food to you. We're visiting my sister, and she took us here, but I'm not sure if I'd come back since there are so many other choices. The place is nice and clean, though. **this place has no restroom so keep that in mind.

Yelp
Nestled in an unassuming strip mall, Owl Owl is a small restaurant serving Thai food. This is the type of place you order before you take a seat. I had the Pad Thai with steamed tofu and it was delicious! Since I chose tofu as my protein, the cashier asked if egg was okay in case I was vegetarian. Very courteous and prompt service. The Thai tea came in a huge cup, not sure if this is one size but it's huge! It was a little sweet but if you let it sit for a bit the ice will dilute it.

Yelp
This place is counter service and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The dining area is small but cozy, and I noticed plenty of people coming in for takeout, which speaks to the restaurant's popularity. We ordered the Chicken Kaprow, spicy (one level below Thai spicy), and it was bursting with flavors from the stir-fried basil, chilis, bell peppers, and onions. I added extra chili oil and chili flakes to elevate the heat, and it was perfect with the rice. Also tried the Boat Noodles, which we ordered with medium spice level. The broth was incredibly rich and full of flavor, complemented by the mix of herbs and spices--delicious! There were also extra chili and pepper on the side for those who enjoy a bit more heat. Staff comes around periodically to refill waters.

Yelp
Awesome gem in signal hill! I ordered 9 trays from them for a work lunch, and it was a big hit. Everything was super flavorful and the mild spice was just right to accommodate everyone. Watch out for the occasional Thai chili! I love it but some people definitely got spiced out. I was a bit conservative and ordered the popular items that most people would like. I definitely want to try more of the lao specials next time! Here's what I ordered for 30 people with plenty of leftovers for people to take home: - large tray of tofu pad see eww - small tray of tofu owl fried rice (must try!) - small tray of tofu kapow - small tray of lao style papaya salad (must try!) - small tray of beef kapow (must try!) - small tray of chicken wings - small tray of chicken larb (must try!) - small tray of garlic pepper chicken - small tray of steamed rice

Yelp
Owl Owl is delicious. The hubs and I stopped by for lunch before picking up the kiddos from school. Service wasn't as fast as we expected because business is BOOMING, but we got out the door in a timely fashion. Their dining room is small. You order at the counter. We opted to eat inside and felt like the people who worked here were very sweet. I tried the Moo Ping skewers. So delicious. My husband loved his dish, too! Parking was super easy.

Yelp
This review comes a little overdue but better late than never! I had the chance to visit Owl Owl Thai Lao Food with my mother for dinner a while ago and we had... well an experience. Neither memorable nor terrible however this local business ranked somewhere between my list of neutral establishments I've tried so far. Located across the street of Signal Hill's Costco, Owl Owl can be sort of easy to miss as it's located in a small shopping center. As we arrived I admired the interior decor as it gave quite a charming vibe. The staff were friendly but not as helpful as I would've wished for as they didn't offer me an option of spice levels to choose from but noticeably did offer other guests how spicy they'd like their dishes. No biggie though, I remained optimistic while disregarding my usual preference of spicy Thai cuisine and just asked for my additional condiments on the side. Onto the food! We ordered Chicken egg rolls, Chicken Pad See Ew, and Shrimp & Crab Fried Rice. My unbiased opinion is that the highlight of the night was probably the egg rolls which still doesn't say quite much. I've tried Pad See Ew as well as Shrimp & Crab Fried Fried at another establishment and in comparing both restaurants this joint sort of lacked in terms of flavor for me. Now, don't get me wrong, was the food bad? Not at all! However it just really lacked that SOMETHING and I just can't put my finger on it. Perhaps the seasoning and spices? Whatever the case may be I can say this is a lovely local establishment that I probably wouldn't revisit but I'm glad to have tried it. For some phenomenally delicious Thai cuisine I'd definitely recommend Sriracha Thai Restaurant in Carson though. 3/5

Yelp
Stopped by for a brunch. We actually accidentally arrived too early so we had to wait outside for ~5 minutes before they open. We ordered a kaprow (Thai spicy) to share between two, and yes, it was definitely enough for sharing since it was supposed to be a "light breakfast" before we went to a friend's wedding The Thai spicy was indeed spicy, and our tummy was on fire, but it was pretty good. Rice portion was perfect with the amount of meat they gave.

Yelp
A hole in the wall Thai and Lao spot! This was my first time trying this fusion, and it was so delicious! We ordered the Owl Fried Rice, Boat Noodle, and Pad Seew Noodle. The flavors of each were so so good and tasty. My favorite was the fried rice, which has a mix of chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp as well as some veggies and spices that go so well together! The boat noodles are on the spicier side so beware of that but the flavor is so good. The inside is pretty small with some tables, so I did see a lot of people ordering and picking up takeout. The place is located in a plaza and there's plenty of parking which is nice in Long Beach. Would definitely come here again!

Yelp
Finally got to try Owl Owl since I love thai/lao food. The food was more like a 4.5. Very good but not my fav. Portions are good sized. Boat noodle was pretty good.. especially After I added a bit of their vinegar fish sauce. Lots of meat. Has beef blood. Beef a tad chewy but overall very good. Beef pa ke mao aka drunken noodles. Done very well. Lots of veggies . Nice flavor . Meat but chewy but overall good dish . 5 stars instead of 4 cause the workers so nice. Didn't have to ask for water or shared bowls or plates . And this place was super clean .

Yelp
The food here is EXCELLENT. Sometimes it has taken a little bit of time to prepare but that's because everything is prepared fresh and nothing sits under a heat lamp. It's so delicious that it's well worth waiting for, and I can always phone in order ahead of time. my favorites are the chicken salad, the pad Thai, and the egg rolls. When you order the chicken salad they cook the chicken right then so it's really fresh and delicious and not rubbery and dry from sitting under a heat lamp or in a bin.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious, authentic Lao food. My fiance was desperately craving papaya salad (Lao style) and some Kao Poon Soup and this place hit the spot for both of us. I had the boat noodle soup which was also good. Papaya salad was exactly how I like it. Smallish restaurant, but cozy and the staff here was very attentive. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area, especially for that papaya salad!

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place looking for a nice bite to eat. The place was small and simple, but the thing I noticed most was all the people happily enjoying their tasty food. I instantly knew this spot got some bomb eats. Got myself the kao poon and an egg roll on the side. The noodle soup was excellent! Rich red curry broth, tender chicken, and wonderful noodles. I'm glad I tried them out because I'm definitely coming here again to try the rest of their menu.

Yelp
Went on a Sat. morning with my family and food quality was amazing. Looking forward to coming back
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered the Tom Yum soup with medium spice. The aromatic flavors stand out in the soup and it comes out at the perfect amount of heat. Seating is usually very open given that most customers come here to take out only, but I would recommend eating soup in the restaurant itself to maximize freshness.
google avatar

Therese O.

Yelp
Small place to dine in but okay if just for pick-up. This is my second time having their pad see ew, first with chicken and pork, and this time with just beef. The noodles are savory, the meat is flavorful, and overall, it's delicious. I'll definitely be back, highly recommend it!

Yelp
Restaurant has several options that can be made into vegan recipes small restaurant maybe seating for about 20-25 people. I would need to come back and try other options the why I normally order them.

Yelp
Cozy clean restaurant where you order at the counter in a small strip mall across from Costco. I've heard great things about Owl Owl and was excited to finally try it out. The person taking our order was friendly and the vibe was chill. We ordered the Pad Kee Mao noodles and the Moo Ping. The order took a little longer than I expected, but that was because the Moo Ping takes a little extra time to prepare. The Moo Ping was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The sauces that come with it are a great complement. The Pad Kee Mao had plenty of vegetables and meat, but I found the it to be a little lacking in noodles. I also found the dish to be a tad too greasy. With that said, I loved the flavors and cleaned the plate. I'd definitely come back, but was expecting a little larger portions or cleaner/less greasy noodle dish at the slightly higher than average price point.

Yelp
If you are looking for a family run restaurant with quality food made by hand and with pride, this is your place. It's not super fancy. But, the food does all the talking here. It's very good. The staff was very friendly and checked by often to make certain we wanted for nothing. They were a treat.
google avatar

Alwin A.

Yelp
The pad seew with beef was really good! You gotta get a side of the chilli oil sauce. The restaurant is a cozy little spot but be careful they don't offer a bathroom. Took a while to get our food which was a takeout order but the staff was very friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
I was craving papaya salad but want to try at a diff place. Good location because I was planning to walk at signal hill after. Caught me off guard a bit because i was bit confuse then realize I need to order at the counter. Most just order to go while I was there dining. Big portion and my leftover let me eat 3 more time. The large cup is really large, larger than jamba juice and vente. Sweet and sour juicy papaya salad and tasty combination fried rice that have beef, chicken, shrimp, pineapple.
google avatar

Yelp
Whenever I am feeling under the weather, it's customary for me to find and eat something very spicy (disclaimer: I highly doubt it does anything to flush out germs or do anything to stimulate my immune system, but it's delicious and helps me feel better, so don't knock it). Bonus points if there's something with caffeine on the menu too. Anyway, we decided to order delivery from OWL OWL because spicy noodles and a ginormous coffee sounded like the perfect prescription. I got my pad kee mao Thai spicy, and ordered some pad seew for my teen, along with drinks. IT. WAS. SO. GOOD. The food was super flavorful (and yes, mine was sufficiently spicy), with lots of fresh ingredients, plenty of protein, lots of veggies, and a really pleasing variety of textures. I think I might have found my favorite noodles locally. The drinks were delicious as well. We will definitely be visiting them again (when not feeling under the weather).

Yelp
My colleagues and I stopped by here for lunch, mainly because I wanted to try their boat noodles! I love boat noodles and would love to try every Thai place that offers it so I can compare! This place is alright. The broth is pretty thick and dense, I think there's a lot of pork blood in the broth for flavor. Overall it has a good flavor and they don't offer a combo bowl, the default is just beef and if you want to add like tripe it's an addition. Their tripe is very well clean. The noodle was okay, they don't have big noodle and the small noodle was alright. My other colleagues got something else and they liked their food! Overall it was good.

Yelp
I've gone here so many times, so they're well overdue for another good review! This restaurant is a bonafide spot for Southeast Asian patrons that want real authentic Thai and Laotian food and an overall crowd pleaser. I've come here a handful of times for casual business lunches and I've noticed a handful of other return customers as well. There's always people ordering, picking up, and eating, and the staff is always friendly and give great recommendations. I love their larb because they put a hefty amount of the roasted rice and it's super bright and sour--and if you ask for spicy, they make it spicy! The first time I ordered it they recommended a side order of sticky rice and it was such a good idea. I've ordered this a handful of times and their pad see ew. Today I went to another business lunch and felt a little bloated, so I requested lettuce instead of cabbage and foregone the side of rice and it was perfect. There was no inconsistency, it was just as good as the last time I had it. We ordered spring rolls and they were pretty big! They came in an order of three and one order to yourself is enough to make you feel satiated. We also got a few Thai coffees (less sweet) and it was a great afternoon pick me up that went well with my larb. I've yet to try it (too obsessed with the larb), but my coworkers really love the fried pork belly and I don't doubt it's good! They slice a slab of fried pork belly and with a side order of side, my coworkers alwaysssssssss ask me to order it for them. So I think it's safe to say it must be really good. Overall a very solid Thai and Laotian spot, staff is friendly and make great recommendations, and spicy means spicy!

Yelp
First time here during the 2024 Cambodian Restaurant Week. Hands down some of the best Thai Lao food I have ever had. The food was fresh, hot and very tasty. We will be back for sure. Service was quick and the food came out hot and quickly. It is a small place with maybe 8 tables but it was clean.

Yelp
My 1st time here and definitely coming back! Nestled in a small shopping center across from Costco is this lil gem ! Authentic Thai-Laos food that is fresh and full of flavors. This is a must try while in Signal hill !

Yelp
A MUST try. We ordered a few dishes and everything was 10/10, can't wait to try more! Great flavors! Will definitely become a regular place for us since we live nearby. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Yelp
I was hungry for lunch and driving down Willow when I spotted this gem. I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did! Generous portion size, huge flavor and a friendly staff I will definitely be coming back and recommending my family and friends.

Yelp
A very authentic Thai & Lao food spot. I highly recommended. Come with me! Highlights of the menu: 1. Somtum platter 2. Laos sausage 3. Ka prow 4. Moo ping 5. Pad thai 6. Mango sticky rice 7. Thai iced tea

Yelp
I was craving for papaya and decided to do takeout very small serving literally 5 bite for $16 do better OWL

Yelp
I'd give OWL OWL Thai a 3.5 rounded down. I was in the long Costco Gasoline line (across the street), searching on google for a local spot to pick something up to eat at the airport. I ended up finding OWL and placed a call. The Pork Belly looked amazing, and was going to be my go-to, but I ended up getting the Gai Krapow with fried egg instead. I sometimes do this impulse order where at last minute, I change my mind after an abundance of research. I complimented the entree item with a regular sized Thai Iced Tea. Gentleman on the phone was nice and indicated it would be 20 minutes. After 30 minutes (Costco Gas needs to expand two-fold!), I made my way across to the shopping center. Upon arrival there were 3 more parties ahead of me that all appeared to be waiting for their take-out orders. The gentleman told me that it will be out soon. After an anxiety ridden 15 minutes, it was ready. The staff was friendly the entire time, and I was still able to make my flight at Long Beach Airport and return the car, but the estimate was way off. The food was also tasty, but the value wasn't entirely there. To be fair though, I didn't get to enjoy my meal until 25 minutes after receiving it and I am also comparing it to Bay Area standards. All-in-all, I still wouldn't mind ordering from here during my next visit to Long Beach.

Yelp
Fast and great service the food is some of the best recommend pad se eew and wonton soup
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great local spot for Lao and Thai street food. Although I only tried the chicken phad Thai, which was amazingly delicious still a great spot! It was a sweet, tamarind and savory flavor. Just right! It's a small spot but busy. Friendly service. The food is cooked hot and served to you on disposable plates. I would have given it a five star but the tables were so sticky the menu was stuck to the table.
google avatar

Yelp
Tom Yum Noodle Soup! Been craving soup on this cloudy day and this hit the spot! Just the right amount of spicy and sour!
google avatar

Ky N.

Yelp
I love pork belly. It was really good. However it comes off more as an appetizer rather than a meal. I had to order sticky rice on the side. I wish it came with more vegetables and it would've been perfect. The sauce that comes with it is amazing! This place gets super chaotic during lunch. It's a very small place and they don't have enough workers.
google avatar

Ariel L.

Yelp
All I have to say is that their food is SO good and comforting! I ordered the thai boat noodle and Kaprow and both were filled with sooo much flavor. Y'all must come here!!
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
Great yummy Lao food in Long Beach! I got the butterfly pea tea, thai iced tea, boat noodles, Tom yum noodles, and the Somtum platter. The drinks were good, not watered down or overly sweet. The Somtum platter had loads of food! I love the variety so you can try a little bit of everything. The Lao sausage was super yummy and well seasoned. It had a bit of a kick but still so good. The moo ping was delicious as well tons of flavor in the skewers. The boat noodles are a customer favorite and I can see why. The beef was tender and paired perfectly with the broth. The Tom yum noodles are a new menu item and tasted more like pad Thai than Tom yum but still very delicious! Definitely check this place out!
google avatar

Cassidy C.

Yelp
Sweet & cute place. Really quiet and peaceful spot. The service was nice and quick, even tho we were warned that the pork Moo Ping would take a minute to grill. Both the pork and the Owl Thai fried rice were delicious and filling. The Thai coffee was on the very-sweet side, and I enjoyed it but to some I think that it may be a little too much . Overall very nice place, thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
I like how this establishment has both Thai and Lao food. In a plaza with plenty of parking. Somtum platter: has a good mix of the must have sides and starters. You can get Thai or Lao papaya salad (difference is that the Lao papaya salad uses the fermented fish sauce), chicken wings, moo ping (pork meat sticks) & Lao sausage (pork sausage mixed with herbs). Owl fried rice: mixture of proteins, pineapple and they use curry powder. Pad Thai: a classic that they do well. I get mine with shrimp. Pork belly: fried with a crispy skin All of it was seriously delicious. You can modify how spicy you want the papaya salad. You can dip the meats in a kind of sweet sauce or use the jeow som which is sour is slightly with a kick.

Yelp
This is our first visit since 5-Star Teriyaki sadly left the scene pre-pandemic. We had the teriyaki chicken plate, which is basically a larger version of the chicken bowl but with a side salad. It was every bit as good as their predecessor. It was steamed rice and broccoli, teriyaki chicken, and salad with dressing. Excellent teriyaki flavor. Friendly service, Clean and simply accommodated dining area. It's a good place to call ahead because it's great food, it's not necessarily fast food.
google avatar

Maria E.

Yelp
They have a small dine-in area and it's counter service, with plenty of parking. They serve some of the dishes on disposables even for dine-in. The Pad Thai is tasty, but compared to others I've had it's a bit more on the saucy side than the peanutty side--although it does include some small crushed peanuts. I liked the firm texture of the noodles and the green onions spike up the flavor. The Wonton Soup has a generous garlicky flavor that's delicious. The Boat Soup is flavorful. The Pad See Ew is good. The portion sizes are probably good for the average eater, but we're volume eaters so it was just under "just right" for us. In other words, we could eat more. LOL! The Thai Tea and Butterfly tea are good too, but the we've had better Boba elsewhere. Overall though, it's a good place to eat some Thai food and I do recommend.

Yelp
Maybe because it's a week day? The kapoon noodles were too soft and broken in pieces. The sausage is too dry. Looks like I got the bottom of what's left in the kapoon soup. Sad. Very sad.

Yelp
I'm glad that I decided to give this place a try after reading all of the positive reviews. I ordered the wonton soup with egg rolls and this place did not disappoint. The soup was very flavorful and had the right amount of Bok-choy, wontons, chicken, and shrimp. The broth mixed with all of the ingredients complimented each other perfectly. I will definitely be back soon to try some other things on the menu.

Yelp
I went to Long Beach to visit my friend and I am southeast Asian. I couldn't believe when I yelped Lao food and this one popped up. I love khaopoon and kapiek! I did Uber eats and got the khaopoon! My gosh the broth was soooooo good. The only reason why I am giving a 4/5 is because they barely give you any noodles and just a lot of veggies. I also ordered the crispy pork and it just tastes like any crispy pork, but the reason why it was good is because of their sauce. Also wished I had more of the chili sauce because I finished half of the pork and the sauce was done. I hope to come back and try something else on the menu. I believe it would be worth the taste still to come here.

Yelp
Had to do an errand out here and decided to pickup dinner in the LBC for something different. Looked up this place and the food is delicious. Got the Laotian version of papaya salad in the somtum platter. Everything we got was really good. My family and grandparents enjoyed eating everything.

Yelp
Was super excited to have Laos food. Ordered take-out from here - got the Boat noodles with quail eggs, Kao Poon, pork belly, and the chicken wings. The flavor of the boat noodles was great, and I really enjoyed the quail eggs, but the meat in the boat noodles was really dry and nearly inedible. I was really excited about the Kao Poon, as I've never had them before. However, this was a bit of a disappointment. I thought that this dish seemed a bit watered down in flavor and texture - the broth was watery, and while the Boat Noodles packed a bunch of flavor, this one seemed a bit lack luster. Perhaps you need to eat the Kao Poon *before* the Boat Noodles. Initially, I thought that the pork belly was really delicious and very crunchy. I really appreciated how the pork belly itself seemed to be infused with flavor, not just relying on the cripsy texture. However, as soon as it got cold, the meat got very tough. I think that this dish needs to be eaten fresh and hot. The chicken wings were good, and probably the star of the meal. Flavorful, crispy. And I appreciated the sauce with it!
