"Farmhouse brewery Oxbow Brewing’s third location became an instant classic as soon as it opened in the former home of a cross-country ski center. Yeast lovers flock to the outpost in Western Maine for the tasting room’s 15 taps, wood-fired pizzas, and adjacent bottle shop. Perfect for groups of friends and families, the beer garden is a worthwhile destination all year long." - Kate McCarty

"The Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford, Maine, occupies a renovated 200-year-old barn at the trailhead of an impressive system of Nordic cross-country skiways. Utilize these trails with your own gear or by renting equipment onsite from nonprofit Portland Gear Hub. After, enjoy wood-fired pizza featuring estate-grown ingredients paired with Oxbow Brewing’s sought-after farmhouse beers, like Alpha Minor, a saison brewed in collaboration with Seattle’s Holy Mountain Brewing." - Stasia Brewczynski

We have been here a few times. The pizza is wood fired, beer is their own and good. I had the Northern Lager, nice, light and refreshing. Wife had, sorry she can remember but she liked it, abit sour for me. Our pizza by the way was fantastic, it was the Njuja. Spicy Italian pork, Calabrian chilis with honey. So, good, we are sitting here contemplating about ordering another pizza, 2 people 14” with thin crust another one would push us over the edge. But, really good if your in the area.

When compared to other brewing companies, this place only earns 3 stars. Why it is able to even do that, is because of the yard where you can bring your doggie in the warmer months. They aren't "dog friendly" though. And the beer is okay. Not brewed on location, but in the city with city water. The pizza doesn't come close to the raving you read about in the other reviews. It's not bad, but not great either, and a large is a small to most other places. The iced tea that they make there and tell you is awesome, isn't at all! Colored water and ice to be truthful. So, in summary, nothing special here.

Amazing pizzas and a lovely beer garden. We loved that we were able to take the dogs with us

Attended a wedding, fun, relaxed, pretty, the leaves were perfect. Great pizza! They brew their own beer but can't comment, don't like beer! They also have a disc golf course and cross country skiing in winter.

We ordered a couple beers and a cheese pizza and sat at the bar. The pizza was one of the best we've ever had. Dan, I think his name was, is awesome. So knowledgeable about all the beers, how they are made etc. Super guy. The interior is super cool, simple and rustic decor. Tons of outside tables so I'm sure its great in the summer. You can buy bundles of wood and hang around a fire too. Great place!

I'm the owner/operator of Big Magic, a 9-piece wedding band in Maine, and we recently performed at the Oxbow Beer Garden for a September wedding this summer. We got to work alongside Rebecca, who was all the right kinds of inviting, accommodating, and professional. The venue is a perfect combination of elegant (without being too stuffy), hip, and relaxed (without being too campy). The food and beverage are craft, high quality, and serviced by a staff that just seems to "get it". Quite honestly the perfect place to get married. We're all hoping to get back there ASAP as Big Magic, but we'll all certainly be back to get in on that incredible food and beverage too. Book Oxbow for your wedding!

Food was fantastic. The best pizza I’ve had in a while. The mushroom pizza was particularly good. The beer is unique too; it’s worth branching out. Went on a Friday and it wasn’t too packed. Place is spread out and has a cool atmosphere. Wish there was one closer to Boston.

Such a cute restaurant/brewery. I really loved the atmosphere and the vibe at this place. All the people (customers and employees) were super nice and friendly and they had a lot of options for beer. The bartender was great and gave us samples until we found one we particularly liked. Ended up with the field beer and the saison aquatic - both very good. For food, we got the mushroom calzone and the donuts! Very pleased with the donuts and would highly recommend them. The calzone was good, but somewhat small compared to what we had seen another table get. In addition, I think adding sausage like they had recommended would’ve made it a good combination. Overall, pretty good experience!
