I was amazed as I walked by with my little Frenchie and saw the Avenger in front of the historic farm. I had never stopped there before, but I decided to walk in. Every vendor was incredibly friendly, and they had many items for sale, including lots of homemade goodies and vintage farming equipment. It was a delight to see the grape vineyards; they were absolutely beautiful. Walking into the barn to explore all the old, vintage items was exceptional, and the stories behind the pictures on the walls were fascinating. It was incredible to connect with history—everything there was worth hearing and seeing.

Historic ranch house and winery building to see from the outside. Free parking and admission. Many historic vehicles and farming equipment. Many crops including citrus, avocados, and grapes for wine.

This hidden gem is nestled in the heart of Oxnard, holding on to important regional history. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about Oxnard's farming history. The gardens and landscaping are beautiful, and the farming equipment on display are well preserved relics from a simpler time. There is ample seating for tons of people to enjoy live music and participate in seasonal workshops. This is a great field trip for families or couples of all ages.

I discovered the Oxnard Historic Park Foundation in the "Passport 2 History" booklet. I'm always looking for interesting and different places to see with my three year old. The grounds are cool and have a nice display of farming equipment, tractors and vegetation. There was a fundraiser setting up when we visited, so keep them in mind for your next rental. There are two structures to explore. The first has some cool artifacts in it and has more of a museum feel. We enjoyed the cool large safe and admired the player piano, though it wasn't currently working. Then we were showed where the main building is and were given the okay to self-explore. It's important to note that they are currently fundraising for the first phase of restoring the house. Unlike many of the other historical sites and museums we've visited, this one is just being put together. Upon exploring the second floor, nearly all the doors had spider webs (complete with spiders) across them, and most of the rooms are empty. There was some cool things, like the piano which my son loved. There was some cool old signs and historical memorabilia, but I'm more excited to watch this place grow into a place of beauty. Right now it is fun as it has that kind of "exploring and old haunted house" kind of vibe. So just note the above and don't let the kids wander too far in front of you as I could imagine injury happening at the moment. As far as rating, I almost gave this a 3... but since it's a work in progress, it's free and the grounds are lovely... I think it deserves a solid 4. Here's the key: There are also TWO playgrounds just next door if you'd like to let the kids play... or better yet, bundle a few of the passport 2 history museums together! We visited The Pleasant Valley Historical Society Museum & Botanical Garden AND the Reyes Adobe all on the same day!

Very nice venue. So much history about Oxnard. Brandon , who was the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Gave us so much information about different landmarks and buildings. With the oldest buildings and trees in Oxnard.

The farm is a tad small but really nice. There are sugar beets, sunflowers, kale, and lemon plants. There is also some old but cool looking equipment

This Farm Park is a keeper. We had a Celebration of Life there for a dear friend and member of our Topa Topa Antique Tractor Club. Beautiful grape vines and flowers. The farm buildings are getting there. Only problem, it is two hours away from where I live. Donations to keep this gem going are needed!

Yelp
We had the most BEAUTIFUL wedding at the farm park. It was perfect and a day that we will remember forever. Our guests loved the park and commented how perfect it was for our wedding. Lots of space to mingle and dance. Everyone loved looking at the plants, crops, and historic farm equipment. Peaceful and lovely.

Yelp
I had my wedding here in February and can I just say that even in the dead of winter with not much greenery I'm so thankful we chose the farm park. It's so beautiful and rustic and the team working there are so knowledgeable and dedicated to this park. Not to forget they were so easy to work with! I don't live in the state anymore but I will absolutely make it a point to go back when I can and recommend it to everyone I know!

Yelp
We've been wanting to visit the Oxnard Historic Farm Park for a while now, since it's part of the Passport 2 History program. The limited hours of 9 to 12 on Saturday mornings hasn't worked for us in conjunction with other plans on the Oxnard Plain. I was glad to see that they were participating in Ventura County Farm Day, and staying open later than usual. We made it one of the definite stops we planned for the Farm Day activities. It was not what I expected. Good surprise! First, it's tucked into a neighborhood with green belts and a park, which gives a more spacious feeling than I was imagining. It's also not near any other farmland. What they do have is a number of vintage buildings, several plots where they're growing crops, some farm machinery, and more. There's a lot to take in visually. On Farm Day there was an added bonus that a gentleman was operating an old printing press, then giving away the bookmarks he made. They were literally "hot off the presses". He had a wry sense of humor, and it was fun visiting with him. We weren't able to pick up a stamp for the Passport 2 History program, as we never found the rep for the property. We were greeted by volunteers for the SEEAG group, the organization promoting Farm Day. Guess we'll have to go back to enjoy the surroundings one Saturday morning. I recommend this venue for families with kids, as there's lots to see, interesting backdrops for photos, and opportunities to talk about where food comes from, besides Ralph's!

Yelp
This little park did not look very promising on the surface but upon closer inspection there were many plants that were very interesting. One of them was hops which I have heard but not seen. There was also okra, lima beans and passion fruit in the demonstration garden. There were many other plants but I ran out of time and had to leave. Autumn is also when most plants start to die off or shut down for the winter. I am sure this place will be buzzing with plant life in the spring and summer. There were also many ancient local historical displays for you to peruse over if you are so inclined. May be an interesting outing for you if you look more into it.

Yelp
Little gem tucked into a housing area of Oxnard. Needs work (hint hint...they want volunteers...) but still much to see. Very casual, just wander around. Nice people doing interesting things. Small vineyard, old winery, original farmhouse (can only see the outside,) antique tractors, historical archives. Some nicely-planted areas.
