Oxygen Jungle Villas, Near Uvita, Costa Rica - Explore & Book
"Nestled in the rainforest, overlooking the spectacular Playa Uvita on Costa Rica's southern Pacific coast, this adults-only resort is a relaxing haven that's perfectly suited to honeymooners and nature lovers alike. Named 'Oxygen' because the owners felt they had finally found a place to breathe, it's located in one of the most biologically diverse regions in the world - within an hour of arrival we were marveling at toucans, hummingbirds and iridescent blue butterflies flitting among the colourful nectar-rich flowers in the beautifully maintained gardens.Enclosed in glass, the 12 standalone guest villas blend the inside and outside worlds. The feel is luxurious, with blissful beds, sofas and rain showers, but you're never far from the sights and sounds of the jungle. There's also a laid-back restaurant and bar overlooking the aquamarine infinity pool, plus a spa that specialises in couples' massages. It’s hard to tear yourself away, but try: the stunning Marino Ballena National Park is nearby, with world-class whale-watching, snorkelling and exhilarating zip-lining. There are also gentle hiking trails within the hotel grounds, complete with waterfalls and swimming holes.

The perfect mix of comfort and nature. We loved lounging in our canopied kingsize bed, watching the jungle come to life outside With just 12 villas and a secluded location, the vibe is intimate and romanticBeautiful ocean views from the infinity pool and restaurant - best appreciated over a passionfruit daiquiri and the hotel's signature guacamoleJust a 20-minute drive from the Marino Ballena National Park, with its beautiful Uvita beach (shaped like a whale's tail), mangroves and coralsThe chance to spot wildlife (toucans, howler monkeys, even sloths) from your villa; some have private hummingbird gardens, too
