"A 20-acre farm in Hollister, California that launched a CSA almost overnight in 2020 after losing restaurant, campus, and farmers’ market accounts; the program swelled to roughly 200 members at one point but later stabilized to about 80 consistent, satisfied members. The farmer had to rapidly build the logistics—taking orders, organizing deliveries, and managing the farm simultaneously—and hopes that other revenue streams will return alongside continued CSA support." - Bridget Shirvell
