We actually tried the other Adana kebap restaurant around the corner first, but they completely ignored us—we stood at the entrance and no one even acknowledged us.
At Öz Adana, it was the complete opposite. The staff welcomed us warmly and were very helpful. They even arranged a table outside for us, just as we asked. While we waited, they served us Turkish tea, which was a lovely touch. The food arrived quickly, and the bread was served warm—a must for kebap!
The Adana kebap was delicious! As for the mezes, they were good, but I think the flavors could be fine-tuned a bit to better match the traditional local taste—for example, adding a little lemon and salt to the hummus. The acılı ezme was nice too, but not quite the flavor we were expecting.
Still, definitely come here and enjoy the great food and warm service!
